I ordered 3 units from Hair Sisters on the 3rd of December. The estimated arrival of my purchased was posted as December 8th. I checked the tracking feature on the website to view shipment details and was surprised when my order was still being processed on the 8th. When looking at the shipping record I noticed that the color that I order was out of stock- they did not make me aware of this nor did they try to contact me when shipping a color that I had not selected as my first or second choice.
I love the selection of products, but their customer service sucks. I read other complaints and see that the customer service line is busy all the time...I refuse to believe that they are so busy that they cannot answer their phones, return calls or reply to emails. This is a very shotty company- IF YOU CHOOSE TO MAKE A PURCHASE DO NOT EXPECT FOR IT TO BE SHIPPED AND DELIVERED AS PROMISED...GIVE THEM AT LEAST ONE WEEK TO PROCESS YOUR ORDER AND ANOTHER TO SHIP IT.

Dishonest company
This website is so dishonest. It clearly states on the site that the order will be processed and shipped in 2 to 3 business days. This is so untrue. I first ordered from hairsisters.com and after 3 weeks requested a refund due to the fact that I did not get my order, nor did I get a phn call or email from the company to let me know that my items were not in stock, which was not stated on the site. I t took them not even 24 hrs to take the money from my account, but 3 business days to refund my money. I then placed an order with clairhair.com. I waited for a week before I became concerned. I then called the company numerous amounts of times and after the hundreth time, got thru to a rep who was rude and very unapologetic about the misleading site and the fact that my items were on "back order". I then found out that the sites were one in the same. Not to mention the fact that it has been a month and I still do not have my order. The company also deletes any negative feedback that is left on the site towards the company. Buyer beware. this company is a rip off and they are not sorry for it.

Poor customer service, no delivery
I ordered from this site that was supposedly the new and improved version. I did not receive my items, but they debited my account. I tried to get in contact with them via the customer service info listed on their site. I called during business hours (various times, various days), but it always said that the representatives were busy, leave a message. I left 5 messages on different days and NEVER received a call back. I also sent several emails to the contact email listed on their site. I filed a dispute with my bank and a week later, I got an email that had refund information and transaction numbers that claim my money had been credited, but it hasn't shown up on my account 4 days after the fact. I will NEVER order from this site again!

Don't let the low prices fool you, it's a scam
They take so long that you have to email them to ask them what's going on. They don't even have the decency to email you first as the customer to let you know what's going on. They take your money but don't send your items. They don't even send you a confirmation email of your payment. It's been almost a month since I ordered from them and I don't have any of my items or my money back for an item they said was out of stock. They fail to reply to emails aswell. I warn everyone NOT to buy from this site. Don't let the low prices fool you, it's a scam.

Non responsiveness when trying to inquire on and cancel order
Placed order online. Called to confirm order as there was no confirmation email response sent that was promised upon placing the order. Called for 2 days straight, nothing but a machine. Did some investigating to find out that this has happened before and that there were about 100 complaints on this company for noncompliance, mail fraid, and not refunding money for cancelled orders! I emailed sales and the david person listed on the BBB site, and continued to call, but no response. I cancelled the credit card order thru my bank and listed it as fraud, and left VM messages to cancel my order as well with thier 1-800 number and via email address that were listed on their website and still no response! Cannot get a human at all with this company! Luckily I saved a copy of the order as a PDF and Word Document, so I could have proof of what was ordered and saved copy of emails as proof of attemps to contact them.
I ordered on 10/23/2010 and have had the same problem. Thankfully it was only 24.oo. I am so upset!
Money taken, received no product
Placed an online order with Hair Sisters.com July 2010. Website appeared to be professional and the prices were quite low compared to most sites so i placed an order, but continued to surf the site and came across a customer review saying " Hair Sisters was a scam and to beware, they will take your monies and not send the product". Ok, so I began to become concerned because I had just submitted an online order over the weekend with my credit card information given to a company that is receiving bad customer reviews. Also I never received an order confirmation at all and really started to think, oh my what kind of company have i given my personal information too. Monday, finally arrived and I called the customer service number listed online and the problem worsened. Someone answered the line and said " Ms.XXXXXX, she did not even recognize that i was a new caller and it appeared as if they were working out of a home and not a business setting. I said " no I am XXXXXXX a new customer and i need your assistance. She then said " Oh hold on and disconnected herself from the call". OH my goodness, I am really stirred now, so i call back and someone answered finally. I gave her the order number and asked if all the items were available and ready to ship. She said, no they were waiting on a wig brush. I thought that it was quite odd that a online supplier of hair products, had no wig brush. I then requested to cancel the order because i knew that something was wrong with the entire experience with Hair Sisters.com and she said " Ok I will cancel the order now and credit will appear in your account within 4 days, which i thought was odd to but i went along with what i was told. 5 days past, NO CREDIT was applied back to my account, so i called and a representative said that the money was deposited into my account 2 days prior to my call. I said, no it has not been received, she said, ok lets call your bank on the 3 way and i will give the authorization number to verify the credit. So I called my bank on the 3 way and she attempted to inform my bank of a credit authorization number. But my bank was not able to locate or even see a credit at all, not even a post credit showing that the funds will be deposited at midnight. She continued to tell my bank that credit was applied to my account and therfore we need to locate it. 3 weeks has passed and no credit has been receive. I now have to go through a dispute process that can take several months to finalized. This company is a scam, a fraud and a fake. They will take your money and not send the product, not even an order confimation. We have to put an end to this company, because not only do we not have money to give away, but we have children, families and responsibilities and this company takes and do not send the product. PLEASE BEWARE, DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER WITH HAIRSISTERS.COM, THEY ARE A SCAM, A FRAUD AND A FAKE. MAYBE 1 OR 2 PERSONS WILL RECEIVE THEIR PRODUCT OUT OF 100, NOW HOW CAN THIS CONTINUE TO GO ON.

I purchased several packs of hair from Hair Sisters, via their website hairsisters.com, for my wedding hair style. The items purchased were supposed to be received by Jan 7. I never received them. I have been in contact with the company several times for a refund. The representatives, although respectful and kind, have been ineffective in issuing a refund. The issue lies with their mail carrier UPS. UPS claims to have delivered a package without receiving a signature to prove receipt of delivery. Several investigation, on this matter, with UPS have been opened mishandled and closed in favor of UPS even though the person responsible for the delivery has offered three conflicting stories about the package. In spite of the blatant proof that the delivery guy is not telling the truth about something, and that I have not received the items I purchased; Hair Sisters refuses to refund my money for the items I never received until the investigation closes in my favor. UPS informed me that although the information concerning my situation sounds bizarre and fishy they have the right to continuously re-open the investigation if they choose to as many times as they want to re-open it. They have already reopened the investigation three times. Hair Sisters offers apologies. I don't want apologies. I want my refund and for the companies to dispute this issue on their own dime, not mine. Buyers beware! If you purchase from this company you risk potentially having to go this ridiculous wait game and hoop jumping process in hopes of receiving your hard earned money back.I feel like I have been swindled out of my money and countless hours on the phone accomplishing nothing by a money hungry company. Save yourself the frustration. BUY YOUR HAIR SOME WHERE ELSE!
No refund for my cancled order
I made an order to the amount of $173 from these people on the 26th of may 2010, and since i was shipping it to a different address than the one on my credit card, they canceled the order and sent me an email saying that the order was canceled and that the money would be refunded within 4 business days back onto my credit card, so far it's been one(1) month and still the money has not been refunded, called them to inquire about this and halfway through explaining to them, they just hung up the phone, and i have not been able to get onto to anyone since, i also emailed them and have not received a reply as yet, so i have began an online dispute with them to get back my money, that's a lot of money and refuse to just sit back and let these people just take my money, i will never do business with this company again, their customer service is none-existant. They should put into their company policy " buyer beware".

I ordered an item and they shipped the wrong one. I sent it back but they can't refund it because "apparently the item has holes in it..." It's a 450 lace front wig...money is not an issue but the fact that they lied to me is awful! Never buy from this website!

I ordered a product in June 2010. By July 2, 2010 product still had not been received. I contacted Hairisters customer service and was told the product was back ordered and that they sent an email to me. I never received an email. I decided to cancel the order and requested a refund back to my credit card. It will take approximately 5 days to receive my refund I was told. Now it's August 5th and no refund. I've sent emails and received a reply to call their 1-866 number. First time I called the young lady I spoke with put me on hold...for several minutes. I hung up and called back. This time the phone went directly to voice mail and has ever since. They must have caller ID and recogize my number so they don't answer. Yes, I've called numerous times and I'm done calling. I want my money and I want it now! I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Chicago. This is BS! There are several hair care websites besides Hairsister. Attention: Hairsisters! Word of mouth can be very damaging to a business. Take heed!
False advertising and not sending returns nor the money for merchandise returned
I ordered about 6 wigs from this company which were the wrong color. I reurned them for the correct color and they sent 1 wig back and did send me a refund.
I placed another order and it charged me 3 times for the same order. They gave me the refund for one order and not the second.
I called them sent email, after email after email and they have ignored me and have not called nor send any email apology nor issued a refund.
They are not an honest company to do business with and I want to file a legitimate complaint against them.

Beware and stay away
I selected the SENSATIONNEL SYNTHETIC LACE FRONT WIG ANGELA from Hairsisters.com at the time of 8:33 pm CST on March 8, 2010. The money was taken from my credit card, yet the item is still in their shopping cart.
After numerous calls to their customer service (WHICH IS A JOKE), I got nothing but an answering machine.
The money that they have taken is now in LIMBO and my bank will not release the funds until I get a FAX from Hairsisters.
You can imagine how that will turn out..
This is Day 6 and still no contact from ANY of Hairsisters staff and they still have my money!
BEWARE OF THIS SITE..I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS RIPPED OFF!

Hair Sisters is a company which was formerly called one thing now dba as Hair Sisters www.hairsisters.com. A coupon was promised and then retracted after the order was taken. I requested normal delivery. The product was to be delivered on the 11th and shows that from the 7th of January - 11th that it is still processing.
They take your credit card, processed the card info then promised a delivery date. You wait past the promised delivery date. Called the toll free number twice and a recording states that they are very busy. The voice on the recording appears to be Hispanic. They say leave your number and they will call you back.

Update.. I was able to speak to someone at the 'company' today. The person asked for my order number and then I was told that my order was a back order and that it would be another two weeks before delivery. They would not confirm this. I asked to speak to the owner and I was given the first name but not the last name. I'm writing because I am leary of this company and all of the wigs are on 'back order' after you credit info is taken. The website has not been updated since 2008. It is 2010. Hours of business are 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. but they cannot give you any definite inventory information until the next day.
Hair Sisters is located outside of Chicago. It is dba Hair Sisters and was previously under another company name. They have sites on Twitter, Facebook, and Myspace.
I would like to know if anyone ever received their wig or wigs from this company as promised. The lady who answered the phone was polite but appeared not to know anything except how to find your order number. It shows they have been in business since 2003.
The people appear to be Hispanic selling African American wigs, weaves, and hairpieces, jewelry, clothing, and alleged false coupons. I'm concerned over the false advertising of the products, promise of the delivery date, and concerned over the fact that people may be most likely scammed. Buyer Beware. Go to the websites and see for yourself!
Other info: I was told that I would receive a credit in 2-3 business days. I cancelled because of the long wait and noone update me with anything except online that the product was processing since the date of the promised delivery. They quickly marked cancelled so I will update if I see the credit.

this may be old. but i have proof that this store is full of ###. iordered from them twice and both times i had to have money credited back to my account because they let people buy items that aren't even in stock! why would you let me order something you don't even have? i ordered 5 items and you mean to tell me you only have one of them in stock? gtfoh! scammers! never again!
Oh no!I knew something was wrong with this company. I ordered an item that was 17 dollars, I wanted it ASAP so I put in 24 bucks for the 2 day shipping. well it has been 3 days and I haven't heard from them. And their website is useless because you can't leave a complaint. The page won't load. I will never order from Hair Sisters again. What a terrible company! I placed an order for two products. One arrived late but they still charged an overnight delivery fee; the second order was in the "still processing" phase for a week until I called this afternoon. They the quirky call center woman said it would require 2-3 weeks additional time to get the order. I called Laissez Faire Friday and the same product arrived Tuesday morning. Terrible service, unprofessional "I don't give a damn" attitude. They obviously don't need my money!
This is my first and LAST time using Hair Sisters. Unfortunately, I did not find these complaints until after I had placed my order. I placed an order for two wigs, one was same day shipping and the other was not. I placed the order last Friday. I called yesterday and they said order will be shipped today. I called today and they said it will ship tomorrow. In the meantime, it is still processing. I asked them why same day shipping item did not go out. They said once I order an additional item which is not same day shipping, it becomes null and void and order will ship in 72 hours ... let me see if I have this right. I order more stuff from you and you take longer to ship to me. I will never order from them again. This is it. After reading the many complaints, my order probably won't go out tomorrow. I also placed an order at www. ebonyline . com yesterday and it shipped today. I would rather pay a little more money and get good customer service than pay less and be lied to and treated like crap.
I have the same problem with these people and I am going to instruct interpol fraud agency to follow this up. Made an order on first week December last year but up to now my order is still pending. No reply from them. I have contacted them through emails and by phone but they never return my calls. I've ordered from Hair Sister's now 3 times, well my 3rd experience wans't the charm. This company needs a better way of handling their business seriously. Most places I've dealt with upon placing your order you know off the top if that item is in stock. However backordered items continue to be a problem with this company. They continue to take consumers money with no problem automatically updating their tracking records to processing. Well my situation was I ordered 3 items 01-20-11, picked regular ground shipping because the date they projected for delivery was within the time I needed it. 1 day before the estimated delivery date, I checked my order and it was still processing. I decided to call them to find out the status of my order, I got the infamous voicemail. So I then went further and started a live chat session with one of their agents. The conversation got me nowhere, all the agent could tell me that possibly my order would be processed during the afternoon (Which it was the afternoon) Their located in Chicago, and I'm located in Milwaukee same time zone. I then proceeded to ask if any of my items were on backorder, this is what cinched the deal for me. The agent was unable to tell me if any of my order was on backorder, and informed me I would need to call back tomorrow. I received an email today finally advising me that 1 of my items was on backorder and that I needed to call them or email them. I'm used to other companies shipping out the items they do have to their consumers, and then asking what should be done about the backordered items. Not Hair Sisters they apparently wait for you to call them and dont even put your order together. So pretty much they took my money for 7 days, which they claim they were in the process of shipping items they didn't even have in stock, finally when the day they realized it was supposed to be shipped they emailed me. I called them they didn't bother to even ship the other items out, therefore I got nothing on the date they promised delivery. Well I cancelled my order because it defeated the purpose of me ordering it in the first place. I realize this business is unprofessional and can say the need some structural changes from within. Now we will see how long it takes for them to credit my money back to my account.

all this bloody websites need to be closed down. i ordered a wig too from blackhairspray. the wig arrived but it wasnt what i ordered. was so annoyed that i filed a claim on paypal.since i requested for a refund, i was asked by paypal to return the wig to the seller and a full refudnw ill be processed. they refused to acknowlege paypal that they had received the package i sent. i was then asked by paypal to fax the postage receipt as proof of postage which i did . to my suprise the claim was closed as they said the seller refused hey did not ship to me. idiots. after sending the tracking number and order number that they sent to me, paypal decided to review the case again but they were unable to refund my money because those scammers would, t co-operate. paypal then asked me to show proof of postage which i have already done. paypal is a trusted website that 's supposed to help people like us but very dissappointed with them. i need to make a big complain. its crazy. the most fustrating thing is that not only do they have the wig i sent back, they are also keeping my money for nothing and they never answer to messages.

And i was told that my transaction had went through and i was also told that my hair products would arrive in 7-14 days.But they still have not arrived at aalllllllll! I ordered some hair from this company and never received anything! Two weeks after I ordered my it is still processing. Absolutely no information from Hairsisters customer support, no tracking number, nothing! Now, when I check their website it shows that hair I ordered is no more in stock. Absolutely fantastic! Not to mention I called them an spoke to their rep which does not know anything. Stay away from this company! After reading the reviews I see that many people made the same mistake.
Hairsister andUPS are doing some shady business. I recently in Feb 2016 order 9 items from them and only received 8. the most expensive item wasn't in the box. the customer service rep told me that since I no longer have the box the items came in and USP weight was for 4LB. Plus the box wasn't tampered with. they wasn't going to refund my money and no refund. I than reported them to the BBB. Hairsister still lied to them. stating that i refuse to work with them in resolving this issue. Liars. I also reported them to US Post Master for fraud. They need to start taking photos of all the items they are placing in the box and weight them on their site. so they weight can match UPS. right now they only have in ther records UPS. either UPS repacked my order or the packer at hairsister forgot to include my HH extensions. I purchase new born hair ...never recieve the hair i call them, the phone will ring one time and go to voice mail saying that they have a lot of customer and this is 24/7 never get to speak to a representative and beside they never refunded my money back ...they say they did but i dont know to who because i never recieve it ...i still in despute with them and my bank.
Don't mess with hair sister and ebony online scammers and rip offs! It’s bad enough dealing with the store owners in our local communities. Just think of dealing with them over the net. Bad customer service! Hair sister will never pick up their phones and never will call you back. They need to be removed for their unlawful actions. However, no one cares about companies that rip off minorities. If it was the other way around these companies would have been all over the news and shut DOWN! Warning from the wise don’t waste your time and money. After shipping and handling you come out paying the same amount the store price was selling it for.
Rude employees
I ordered hair form Hairsisters.com and had it 2 day expedited however, it took 4 days to ship out. Apparently the delivery date is an estimate, which is fine. However the customer service representive was extremely rude as was her supervisor. I will not be doing business with them again.
