LGBTG movie content
I am so very disappointed that Hallmark has jumped on the bandwagon to try to push unwanted content into our homes. I have always considered your movies to provide good family values and something we could watch for our entertainment. To quote a representative of Hallmark in a Newsweek article"... We are committed to creating a Hallmark experience where everyone feels welcome." I believe you have just made more people feel unwelcome than you could imagine.
Can no longer safely watch your channel
This was the one channel I safely watched with my family. Very disappointed in your addition of the LBGTQ. Your channel was the only reason we still had cable. Praying for your eyes and hearts to open and see the agenda of normalization of over sexualization of the future generations. I thought your channel had value. We will no longer support hallmark.
TV & movie programming
Unfortunately after years of loving everything hallmark I no longer am a fan.
There was a new christmas movie I watched with a side story of a lesbian couple. That was not the main topic of the story so why the lesbian couple had to be thrown in is a mystery.
Then right after that was another new movie, maybe christmas house, where I had to watch a guy stick is tongue down the throat of another guy. This was the main story. This was an awkward time with others in the room including children.
So it appears that the hallmark channel has decided to throw away their prior values which were the same as over 95% of the us population to satisfy the minority. Ok that's fine have those programs but I am not and a lot of my friends are not going to be a part of it.
I will no longer be watching hallmark as there is no way to no what the show will include. It is no longer safe to assume your programing will be safe to have on at anytime with children watching. Perhaps that is the plan. To have programing where children watch and are gradually indoctrinated to accepting that these lifestyles are normal. Of course a person should be courteous and kind to all people. But to promote these lifestyles as normal or natural is not what I or many other parents and grandparents want taught to there children.
I will be spreading the word of your new programing and encouraging my friends to re-think their watching your programing and buying any hallmark products.
When you stop producing these movie let me know and i'll start watching and buying again...
Hallmark movies
Hallmark, what are you doing? How foolish of you to favor the LGBTQ viewers, which are very few in number compared to the godly viewers, which are many. Christians, Jews, Muslims, and morally sound viewers are offended by your promotion of sexual perversion. Hallmark used to be family viewing. Not any more. How foolish of you. Hallmark movies used to be G rated. Now they are SP (sexually perverted). How foolish of you. Hallmark is willing to turn large numbers of views away while wooing a small number of LGBTQ viewers. How foolish of you. Goodbye Hallmark; hello UP and Pureflix.
This is not a complaint...
Dear Hallmark
I stumbled upon this website one day while I was looking for a Christmas present for my son. I am appalled at the way some of your viewers militantly voice their disgust for your channel's decision to represent LGBTQ+ couples in your programming schedule. I wish to implore you not to listen.
I respect people's right to religious beliefs. What I cannot respect, however, is the weaponisation of those beliefs to be intolerant of - in fact, downright hate - people who do not conform to those sets of beliefs.
And beliefs, lest we forget, are subjective "truths". It is only a hermeneutic interpretation - a particular reading, by a particular person with fixed prejudices, at a particular point in time - of the Bible, for example, which alludes to an anti-homosexual stance. The Pope himself has conceded that homosexuality is not immoral and homosexuals are entitled to love and be loved as everyone is. I respect their right to hold those beliefs, I also defend their right to voice them. I do not, however, condone the imposition of their beliefs on the rest of the world as the only morality and, thus, to be used in a tirade against art and the media. For shame.
Art and the media is essentially reflective of a world - the inner world of the creator of said media, which has recourse to the external world. Those people inhabit a different world, one that is closed off to reality and, arguably, closed off to the world as God created it. I love that you have joined in the mainstream representation of LGBTQ+ identities. I do not identify in this way myself, but it opens up conversations with my son who is coming to see the many different colours which constitute the spectrum of the world.
Do not bow to the pressure of a handful of religious zealots who ignore the tenets of their own faiths in favour of snappy aphorisms they trot out as evidence of their own personal convictions.
Thank you
Movies
Very disappointed to see gay couples in my family's Hallmark channel.
All the commercials are black people. The white female is not represented. It's called white discrimination.
Your movie "Christmas in Vienna" features a girl that looks like she's in her teens, liking an "old man" in his late thirties, early forties. Encouraging children, with old men. (Like the island)
Hallmark needs a higher standard. I have always loved that it had a high moral standard.
I'm not a prude or too closed off from the "real life"
Please, I feel as though I represent a large part of the population.
Thank you!
You’re 110% right! Disgusting! Being White and straight is no longer the norm. Hallmark has now caved to the looney left. Pretty sad.
You are not alone though somehow they like to hide the masses that are disgusted with Hallmark's bending to LGBTQ demands. I thought I would just not watch the movies with the LGBTQ content. However, while watching Little House On The Prairie, Waltons, or Dr Quinn, the advertising for the homosexual content movies has me sick at heart. On Hallmark channels, you cannot avoid the homosexual content. I want them gone from my cable.
Candle
My boyfriend had bought me a hallmark candle for my birthday. After burning it my room was covered in black stuff, my rug and comforter were turned a black color. I was coughing black phlegm, with it also being all inside my nose. I was scared out of my mind only to realize that it was my candle. I was concerned only to find that this was very common with candles from this company. Something should be done to fix this because it could potentially be life threatening.
Here is the clean up from furniture.
Here are some pictures of the aftermath of the clean up I had to do from some of my bedroom furniture and the candle itself.
Saturday night viewing
Where are my mystery movies? I do like antiques roadshow but I want my mystery movies! You tota lly ruined my sat. Night viewing.. Not for the first time. Also am not fundamentally opposed to homosexual adds or their own program.. I did not watch the christmas movie after seeing the trailer, nor will I watch it in your millions of reruns because I dont like same sex kissing... Thank you for your time. Please bring back the mystery saturday nights!
New premier christmas movies being premiered as the 7 days of thanksgiving
We have been Hallmark movie fans for many years. We have watched all your new 2020 Christmas movies that have been aired thus far. We just watched The Christmas House on Thanksgiving evening, and we are very disappointed, offended, and very disgusted that your new movies are now including more and more homosexual content. We will never watch The Christmas House movie again. It was disgusting! We have stopped watching so many movie channels due their content and we always felt that The Hallmark Channel was one of the few channels left on TV that was a good family channel with good morally acceptable content. Apparently, the pollution of Hollywood and the politically correct unrighteousness has infiltrated and corrupted The Hallmark Movies too. What a shame. I hope we can depend upon Hallmark to stop this "crap" so that we don't have to stop watching your movies too. We pay an additional fee on our Dish bill each month to have all 3 of the Hallmark channels and we watch your movies over and over again because they have been good movies with good content, but we will not hesitate to drop them if this is going to become your norm too. We rate The Christmas House 1 star out of 5 stars. Also, if we have to stop watching your movies, we will also stop buying Hallmark cards, and gifts from the Hallmark stores. Hallmark cards have always been our preferred card choice but we can change that too. We refuse to support any company that pimps for those who do not support biblical principles and values.
Did it ever occur to you that "homosexuals", as you refer to them, might be as offended by the sheer amount of "straights" on TV? I mean, they're everywhere you look! And this would be offensive to not only people who identify as homosexual, but what about asexual people? Surely asexuals can't offend you - they're not so interested in having sex with anyone! (Of course I am aware of the spectral nature of asexuality, but I have reduced it somewhat to make my point).
Homosexuality is not an abnormality - and in 2020, this is something that should not have to be said... to anyone. That you have felt aggrieved enough to write and complain about it is a sad indictment of contemporary USA (how relieved am I that I don't live there). Don't like it? TVs can be switched off. However, the world cannot be switched off so easily and if you expect to live in it successfully, you have to accept that homosexuality is not an abnormality or an immorality. And, as I suspect you are rushing for the Bible right now, even this is not so clear on the matter.
Hallmark is not the guardian for the 19th century value base so lauded by blue collar and white collar conservatives. It shows movies and TV shows created by people - movies and TV shows that reflect something of the world-as-it-is (or world-as-it-was). They are justified in representing characters from every walk of life in fictional universes, but the characters are open gateways for us to reflect on ourselves and our own lives. If you are so offended by homosexuality, perhaps it is time for you to reflect on why that is - don't waste your valuable time complaining about it to a TV channel.
I feel your disgust. My family is grown but to be blind sided by the homosexual while watching a family friendly movie [supposed to be], is disgusting. I am commenting because so many feel it, but will do nothing about it. I don't have young family, and I do not like Hallmark movies so do not watch them. I watch the old series like Little House On The Prairie, The Walton's, and Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. But while watching those old TV series, there are ads for the movies and images of homosexual's in the preview. You cannot even just turn off the homosexual movies, the ads contain it no matter what you are watching. The only way is to cancel the cable content. I do not understand why so many keep it, put up with it, and eventually embrace what they put on cable. It is subtle acceptance of homosexuals as normal and main stream. Buy movies, or change your cable to selecting Internet movies, even if they are old ones.
LGBTQ movies
I really enjoyed watching Hallmark channels, but I will NOT be watching ANY Hallmark movie channels or purchasing anything from Hallmark. I will also pass this message on to everyone that I know. Shame on Hallmark to push LGBTQ in our faces. Hallmark use to be a good family movie channel but not any more. They are out to please all viewing crowds even if it is wrong. Hallmark is based about money instead of Christian belief. BOYCOTT HALLMARK
I definitely understand what you are complaining about. I am a Christian and find it very disturbing to see all of these family channels displaying the homosexual lifestyle as something that is acceptable. Hallmark is one of many networks that support the LGBTQ lifestyle. This is a very serious situation we have at this time as we are in the "end times." It explicitly states in the Word that homosexuality is a sin. Be prepared fellow Christian, as this will only get worse with time. It is time to turn the television off for good.
Hallmark, you have stepped over the line in having two gay men on your Christmas movie "A Christmas Tee Grows in Colorado." This is the season that we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Why put you liberal sinful views in a decent movie script and surprise us half way through the movie? READ THE BIBLE - IT SAYS A PLETHORA OF TIMES THAT HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SEASON.
If you have already thrown the gay junk in other movies, be honest with your audience and mark/show the movie as a "S" for sex instead of a "G."
They aren't pushing anything on you by diversifying their programming. On the contrary, your insistence that they only run shows that agree with your values is an attempt to force your beliefs on others. Relax and remember that you don't have to agree with the premise of every show.
Get rid of the cable Hallmark channel, period. You cannot avoid it on Hallmark Channel. Even their ads contain the homosexual scenes. I only watch the old TV programs such as Little House On The Prairie...and others. The ads for the homosexual content are aired continually. I am NOT keeping Hallmark Cable channels.
No one pushed anything in your face. They showed two men in a loving relationship who wanted to adopt a child. What could be more wholesome than that? Perhaps the issue is yours.
See, you accept it. The brainwashing is what they are after. It is not normal and loving. It is abnormal and an abomination to mankind.
I agree. Boycott this type of " in your face" LGBTQ content. It is offensive and disgusting behavior to be aired by what we felt was a family channel.
I fully agree with your comments.
Hallmark movie channel
The hallmark movie channel played a movie called the christmas house. Our family loves the hallmark christmas movies but on this particular movie I listed above we as a family really did not expect a same sex couple kissing and talking about having a baby it sent questions from our family asking about why 2 men are kissing. I would really appreciate it very much if you would look into the matter and possibly remove that scene
What is wrong with two men in a loving relationship wanting to adopt a child? It's more natural than what Catherine Bell has done with her face. That's the thing that's appalling.
Completely agree. did not watch the movie mainly because of the kissing. the adoption was not a factor but the kissing.. ick. are the actors gay in real life?
I wholeheartedly agree with your request.
I agree with the above statement. If Hallmark Movie Channel continues on this line of shows and movies, our family will no longer be watching Hallmark. It is a shame that the majority of the people who enjoy a good wholesome clean show/movie can no longer find one.
LGBTQ agenda in movies/shows
Missing another movie due to the inclusion of the lgbtq agenda. Will be canceling my Hallmark cable subscription. Disgraceful! Families have always turned to Hallmark for good, wholesome movies. Unfortunately, Hallmark channels seem to care more about the minority view held by the lgbtq community than the vast majority of those that have been their core customers for years. You will soon realize how much this means to your real customers.
I wholeheartedly agree with your comments and wrote a response as well.
gay movie
Hallmark was been known for wholesome family movies but with the current gay movie. NO MORE! How disappointing in a year, 2020 when we could have used family entertainment to encourage us during the political election and covid. If this is the direction Hallmark is heading, here's hoping it spirals...all downward.
We loved hallmark movies until now. We watch them all the time until they started putting on queer movies. They have now taken the phrase “gay” so it doesn’t sound as bad but it is and we will no longer be watching hallmark or any other show that has these kind of people in them.
movies
On armstrong cable internet — you can not get hallmark movies and mysteries.
When you press the watch live — it doesnt move. I cann every time for months and months and hallmark wont stream it for armstrong... We pay for it!
Hallmakrk needs to stream it for armstrong in ohio
Programming
I am so disappointed to see the wonderful hallmark family name cave to the LGBT community and air a movie showcasing homosexuality. Hallmark was always a place we could go with our children and watch feel good wholesome movies without compromising on good morals. It's a shame to see you fall into the same category as the other networks. I believe if you continue down that road you will be out of business, God blesses those who stand against evil.
Agreed. I want to go on record to agree with and act with other family oriented community members. The LGBTQ content cannot be avoided. Even the ads and homosexual images in the ads for the movies go all day long in with innocent content like Little House On The Prairie, The Walton's and Dr Quinn, during the day. No only do they show family movies with scenes that are homosexual, they show it in the ads all day.
Movies
Hallmark has been a man and women falling in love channel for many years and the world looks forward to see hallmark movies, especially during the holidays. It's disgusting, a disgrace, distasteful and it's sickening that you feel the need to divert to homosexual movies but above all using christmas to promote it, in which this is the holiday that the world celebrates the birth of jesus christ.. I am a lover of my faith and I must say something. Hallmark you ought to be a shame of yourself. Im sure innocent children/youth are watching your movies, and they barley understand who they are and now they're really going to be confused. Hallmark I hope this selfish, and dumb decision you decided to make, back fires.. What a shame!
Your movies over all
Please, it is so insulting to watch this bunch of whoey. You set up young girls to believe that the world is always going to be on their side and ALL things will work out in the romance department. And ALL girls are not a size7 there are some of us that are a bit curvier. Why don't you use an actress that has some curves, Oh wait there aren't any. Or very few. Shame on you.
I love Christmas but in the real world!
Lori
I think Hallmark movies are sappy and not very well written or acted. I do not watch them. I watch other content on Hallmark, but now, with the homosexual, LGBTQ story line, I cannot avoid it. They play the ads all day long while watching else.
Taking away values
I love Hallmark first off! I don't love how they are putting gays/lesbians on there when this is family oriented I don't feel like it necessary to explain to my 3 year old when there are to guys having a moment! God created man and women and that is what we are teaching our child! To each it's own but it makes me very upset that Hallmark Family Movies is jumping on this bad wagon!
It's awkward to explain male/female kissing to a 3 year old. Why should it be different with two men or women - the explanation is essentially the same. You are teaching your child to be as close-minded and ignorant as you are. That will cause difficulties when they are out in the real world.
Movies
My husband is hearing impaired & depends on the closed caption to watch the Hallmark Movies. More & more times, there is no cc available. I thought it was an FCC rule to have CC available. Also in many of the movies I cannot hear the dialogue due to the music being too loud!
Please advise. With all the controversy over your judgement to air movies that are distasteful for many, I would think you would be very interested in keeping viewership.
Sincerely,
D. Matthews

Movies and same actors
Enough already with Lacey Chabert, Candace Cameron and the others that are constantly in the movies. WE are tired of the same actors over and over and over. There are so many young actors in their 20's and early 30's wanting a break.

My mother and I were just watching: Christmas by Starlight and about 30 minutes into the movie one of the characters is revealed to be gay. We immediately turned the channel. This is the second time this has happened to us in the last week. I do not recall the name of the other Christmas movie from a few days ago... anyway, we will continue to turn the station anytime this agenda is pushed on us. If we end up turning the station too often, we will just stop tuning in.
