False prices given online
False prices given online. They lie to you and even hung up on me. They continue to run my credit after I told them to stop. This place is a hop away from a scam company.
I bought an SUV that I saw on the internet
I bought an SUV that I saw on the internet. When I arrived at the dealership, they told me that in order to get the vehicle at the advertised price, I had to buy a $2800 warranty. Otherwise, the price would be $13k higher. They only replaced two tires, and those tires don't match. It would have been better if they had replaced all the tires and included that in the price.
This place is run poorly, nobody is on the same page
This place is run poorly, nobody is on the same page. They sold me a certified car with bad brakes and now they won't honor what we agreed on because the manager, Nick, isn't happy with the deal. I wouldn't recommend going there, it's just a headache and confusing. I had to wait for about 2 hours to sign my papers, I should've just left. The customer service was very rude.
I have a 2017 Maxama with only 9000 miles on it
I have a 2017 Maxama with only 9000 miles on it. I received a recall notice in the mail and set up an appointment. When I brought it in, they told me it would cost me if the bolts break. I told them this is a recall, but they said it's not their problem. I called corporate and filed a complaint against the dealership. I will be seeking legal advice. I do not trust this dealership. Also, when I bought this car, which was new, their porter had chicken bones under the driver's seat. I was going to buy a new car, but I won't be choosing Nissan.
I bought a used car from them during the sale, and they added on a bunch of stuff like ceramic coating and sanitizer
I bought a used car from them during the sale, and they added on a bunch of stuff like ceramic coating and sanitizer. I didn't really pay attention, so it's my fault. But then, on the second day, the ignition switch stopped working. They fixed it, but then two weeks later, I noticed the brakes were grinding. It cost me $800 to fix everything because everything was messed up. Later, I took it in for a safety inspection and found out that the rear control arm was completely rusted through. It's pretty obvious that they didn't inspect the vehicle at all. I could have gotten a better deal from any other used car lot. I'm really unhappy that they sent me a car that wasn't safe to drive.
I got a card in the mail and it said that if I scratched off some numbers and they matched, I would win the guaranteed prize
I got a card in the mail and it said that if I scratched off some numbers and they matched, I would win the guaranteed prize. I won $1000 according to my scratch-off card. The card instructed me to call a number if I won, so I called and the person confirmed that I was a winner. They told me to come in with my ID to claim my prize. I asked if I could come in today and they said yes, so I went right away after reading the card and confirming that I really won.
When I arrived, a man asked me to fill out a form and he asked what type of car I drive. As soon as I mentioned that I have a 2020 car, he said let's go put my information in their system and pick up my prize. We went to a computer system they had in the back and he told me to spin the wheel. I ended up leaving with only 2 bucks. This whole experience was very deceptive and a waste of my time and gas.

My car got stolen and my insurance company wants a bill of sale from the dealership
My car got stolen and my insurance company wants a bill of sale from the dealership. I bought two cars from them before. I've been trying to get my bill of sale for two weeks. I talked to Ben, Jim, and Greg, but all they've been doing is avoiding my problem.
I bought a car from Hawkinson Nissan, LLC in Jan 2020
I bought a car from Hawkinson Nissan, LLC in Jan 2020. I got GAP insurance and paid for the interior/exterior protection plan. But they never gave me these services. Now, my car got wrecked in August and I've been trying to cancel and get a refund. I've been emailing and calling both *** and *** since the accident. They haven't replied to my emails or returned my calls.
I bought a car in late July, but unfortunately, it needed a new engine
I bought a car in late July, but unfortunately, it needed a new engine. I brought it to Hawkinson Nissan, LLC in early November, just two weeks before Thanksgiving. They have had my car ever since, and they told me they ordered a new engine. However, they haven't been keeping me updated on the progress, and they haven't made any effort to provide me with a different car or a loaner. Out of the six months that I've had the car, I've only been able to use it for four months. I'm still making payments for a car that I don't even have, and this is completely unfair. It should be illegal for them to treat customers like this.

Worst car buying experience ever!
Worst car buying experience ever! Hawkinson Nissan had this truck advertised on two websites, including their own, for $26,000. So, I thought, why not? I submitted all my personal info for financing, and guess what? They approved me for 0% interest for 84 months, which meant I'd be paying $384 a month. But here's the kicker: that made the truck cost $32,256! That's a whopping $6,256 more than the advertised price! I tried to negotiate a better deal, but while we were discussing it, they went ahead and changed the prices on those websites. I managed to take some pics of the original web page, but there's a lot more to this story that I can't fit in a text. You get the idea. Thanks.
I sold a car to Hawkinson for $800 and bought a used car on ****
I sold a car to Hawkinson for $800 and bought a used car on ***. I used the $800 and an extra $3000 cash as a down payment. The car broke down that night and I had to pay $310 out of my own pocket to have it towed to the dealership. When we went to the dealership, we decided to exchange the car for another one. They told us that the $3800 down payment was gone and couldn't be used for the second car. Instead, they used the first car as a trade-in on the contract for the second car (at the financed price, not the financed plus down payment list price), instead of canceling the original sale. We also bought a warranty from a third party for the first car, which I paid $1000 out of pocket for that night to lower the monthly premium. Just 48 hours after getting the second car, it broke down too with a broken catalytic converter.
This place used sneaky and shady business tricks to get me into a shiny new car
This place used sneaky and shady business tricks to get me into a shiny new car. They said I was good to go for a new ride. I emailed them to ask if they needed proof of my cash income, and they said no, they already approved me. But then a few days later, the bank emailed me asking for proof of where I live and how much I make. The dealership supposedly called the bank and then called me back to say the bank took back their approval and now I need a co-signer. I told them I can't find one. A few days later, they called me again and said I need to come sign some papers, but they still haven't found a bank to approve me. I went two days in a row and both times they told me to come back the next day. If they had just been honest with me and asked for proof of income, we could have avoided all this mess. I feel violated and like I've been scammed. I'm super stressed about losing my way to work and taking care of my kid. At this point, I don't feel comfortable or trust doing business with Hawkinson Nissan anymore.
I bought a 2014 Nissan Versa Note in 2018 with significant mileage, costing around $9000.
I bought a 2014 Nissan Versa Note in 2018 with significant mileage, costing around $9000. After the purchase, I learned of a lawsuit against Nissan for faulty transmissions in [protected] Versa Notes. Nissan lost, and I took my car in for the recall. My car had transmission issues, but they refused the free replacement due to high mileage, forcing me to pay. The car needed constant repairs. Currently deployed, my wife was left stranded by the breakdown, fearing to drive it. After another fix, we tried trading it in, but the dealership's offer was less than half our loan balance. I'm puzzled why they sold me a car with known issues, why they didn't inform me, why they won't offer a fair trade-in value, and how this isn't considered fraud under IL lemon laws. Should I contact the ComplaintsBoard.com or seek legal advice?
In March , I bought a 2018 Nissan Rouge from Hawkinson Nissan
In March , I bought a 2018 Nissan Rouge from Hawkinson Nissan. It had around *** miles on it. Since then, I've had a lot of issues with this car, even though I've been doing all the required maintenance. The first problem was a clicking sound in the axles, which cost me $330 to fix. Of course, it wasn't covered by the warranty. In July, my transmission broke down while I was downtown ***. I had to pay $250 to get it towed to the dealership. They fixed the car for free, but they didn't even try to reimburse me for the tow. Now, the entire heating and cooling system has stopped working on a car that's only 4 years old and that I've had for just a year and a half! It will cost me $2700 to fix, and, of course, it's not covered by the warranty. I bought this car after going through bankruptcy, so I can't afford to buy a new one until at least May 2023. I also found out that this car was bought from an auction, which makes me wonder why it was there in the first place. This is getting out of hand, and they make you pay for diagnosing the car, which is normal, but the fee doesn't go towards the repair, which is unheard of. I called several Nissan dealerships in the area, and they're the only ones who do this. My next step is to get a lawyer involved because I did everything I could to protect myself, but all the things I paid for are not helping me at all. This dealership and Nissan make a lot of money, and they should be ashamed of how predatory they are!
On January 27, I went to Hawkinson Kia to check out their cars
On January 27, I went to Hawkinson Kia to check out their cars. I spent hours test driving and looking at vehicles. Being 8 months pregnant, I was getting tired. Eventually, I found a car that I liked and started the paperwork. I knew I had some credit challenges, so I expected a high interest rate, but not over 21%. I thought that during this pandemic, there would be some flexibility due to financial difficulties faced by families. During the interview with the finance manager, he gave me the total price, including gap insurance and a warranty. I was okay with the gap insurance, but I made it clear that I did not want the warranty. However, he insisted on including it, even after I declined multiple times. I was exhausted and asked if I could think about it and come back later. He refused and continued pressuring me without any explanation. Eventually, I gave in and said I was ready to leave. When I got home and discussed it with my parents, they were unhappy with the poor level of service and the high-pressure sales tactics. Within 24 hours, my mom and I returned to the dealership and spoke with Josh, the General Manager. We explained to him that a "no" means "no." Josh agreed and mentioned that maybe the bank required additional protection, or else the interest rate would have been even higher. However, this was never explained to me, and it's not an excuse for unethical behavior. Josh promised to call me back the next day when the Finance Manager returned to work. Today is February 2, and I haven't heard from Josh. I assume he ignored me, and I am extremely unhappy. I want a refund for the warranty amount. I expect the owner, BOB Hawkinson, to contact me with a resolution. My mom bought her car here, but she will never come back or recommend this place due to the sales pressure. Signed, An unhappy customer.
I made an appointment cuz my check tire pressure light came back on, after just havin my car serviced not even a month prior
I made an appointment cuz my check tire pressure light came back on, after just havin my car serviced not even a month prior. The previous week, I was on my way to a doctor’s appointment, almost 20 miles from my home. By the time I arrived in the parking garage, I had 2 almost completely deflated tires and asked an attendant in the garage put air in my tires so that I could make it home. This check tire pressure light has remained on, literally for the last 5-6 years. Each time that this issue has been “fixed”, the light would come back on no more than 3 weeks later. So I scheduled another appointment cuz I wanted to make sure there were no other issues with the tires before we go into the winter season. I arrived at the dealership at 7:30. I did not leave until just before 2:30 PM. At no time was I given an estimate of how long this would take, how MUCH longer it would take, nor was I offered a rental car. I requested that my car also be checked for any leaks, necessary fluids and to determine if I needed an oil change. At 9:00, I was given a repair estimate that totaled $730. You can imagine my shock, considering that I was here not even 2 months ago and assured that a full inspection was done on my car and that nothing was wrong. The multi point inspection form that I was given on that day has ALL green boxes checked on it. Yet somehow not even two months, or a full 700 miles later, I end up with a $730 bill. After discussing the repair estimate, I reluctantly advised them to proceed with the repairs. Again, at no point was I ever given an update on how long this would take. A little after 2 PM, I was finally told that my service was completed. My family has purchased multiple cars from Hawkinson over the years. To tell me that extensive inspections were performed on my car that weren’t actually completed shows a lack of ethics, integrity and overall lack of concern for your customers. And the team didn't even have the decency to respond to my email.
hat came with the new engine
hat came with the new engine. After the replacement, the check engine light was no longer blinking and the car was running smoothly.
I am disappointed with the service I received from Hawkinson Nissan. Not only did they charge me excessively for diagnostic testing, but they also recommended replacing the wiring harness when it was not necessary. This would have cost me over $3,500, which is an outrageous amount for a simple wiring issue.
Furthermore, the communication from the service advisor was lacking. I was not informed about the additional 4 hours of labor and the increased cost until after I returned from vacation. It would have been helpful to know this information beforehand so that I could make an informed decision.
Overall, my experience with Hawkinson Nissan was frustrating and costly. I would not recommend their services to others. It is important to be cautious and do thorough research before trusting any mechanic or dealership with your vehicle.
