My mother ordered dining table and chairs from the website www.hayneedle.com. After 4 days I got email from them that my order was cancelled. WTF? I contacted the live chat agent, but he wasn’t interested in my problem. He didn’t offer any solution or anything else. Total scam, so don’t buy from them, ‘coz you will waste money only. Please, post your comments and share your views about this company.

Ordered a coffee table listed as 'in stock' on the website. After a week, and after the charging my CC hayneedle.com canceled the order without explanation. At least they canceled the charge as well. However, this is not how a serious business operates. I won't be shopping from them again.

I wish I would have read this before my purchase from Hayneedle. I purchased a desk/loft/bed combo in mid-November. I was contacted about a week later via e-mail that they were canceling my order because they could not fulfill it. I called and confirmed this and purchased this item elsewhere. About another week later I received an e-mail that my order was shipped and my credit card was charged $1, 200. I called them and they stated they were sorry and they would stop the shipment and credit back my card. Another week later I received a call from the freight company stating they wanted me to call back to arrange delivery. I called HayNeedle again and again they said they were sorry and I did not need to call the freight company they would credit back my card and take care of this. Still with no credit back on my card I disputed the item on my credit card in December. Hayneedle responded and stated that I never returned the item and it was delivered to my home which was not true. I then provided documentation to my credit card company of the circumstances. I contacted HayNeedle again and they stated the Warehouse received the item back from the freight company but forgot to enter it into the computer. She said she fixed it and now in January I should receive a credit back to my card. There is still no credit back to my card and I was told I need to drop the case with the credit card company before they will give me a credit back. I will not do that. I am still in dispute over this item and it is late January!

I don't think I will buy from them again
Ordered curtain panels and glass pitchers from the site. The curtains did arrive in a timely fashion and shipping was fine. I did encounter some problems with this company and I don't think I will buy from them again.
1. I was never told that the pitchers would took an extra 2 weeks to be delivered until after I completed my order.
2. I ended up not liking the curtains and returned them. The return process was such a pain. They do charge for return shipping. Although on the site they said you can choose to ship it yourself and pay for it yourself, it was impossible to do so because of how they set up the auto return page. I ended up have to pay $18 to return 2 curtains that I paid $35 for both. If only I knew I would have just buy it from amazon. So the lesson here is, unless you know exactly what you are getting and you know you won't be returning anything, go ahead and deal with this company.
3. Once you gave them your email address, I was getting ads from them like every single day. Thank god I could unsubscribe so easily on gmail.

I will never order from this site again
I ordered an item on 12/18 and was told it would be here before christmas. 12/26 and no item so I sent an email and was informed that it would send out the next day and be here 1/2. Guess what? it's 1/2 and no item but, I did receive an email saying it is delayed and won't be here until 1/8. Ridiculous! I will never order from this site again.
This has been an absolutely awful experience
I ordered a product shipped to my father as a Christmas present, delivery date 12/12. When I visit over the holidays I find that the item never arrived! Apparently my order was canceled due to inventory issues and I was never informed. Hayneedle was unable to even send me an email informing me that my gift would never arrive.
This didn't, however, prevent them from sending me 28 emails over the past month detailing their special offers, sales, etc; this has happened despite me specifically opting out of promotional emails when placing my original order.
This has been an absolutely awful experience and I would recommend that no one else should do business with them again.

Worst company EVER! EVER
Worst company EVER! EVER! I purchased a $1, 900+ Shufflboard for my employees to enjoy at work. It was supposed to ship within just a few days but after nearly three weeks of delays, they finally placed it in "backorder" status. So I cancelled the order with them over the phone. They assured me it was cancelled. I then located nearly the same exact Shuffleboard on Walmart.com that same day and ordered it. Three days later, I get a phone call from Pilot Air Freight saying that they had an order from Hayneedle to deliver. I refused it and called Hayneedle asking what the hell was going on. They told me that the order had not been cancelled and had instead shipped. I informed them that I already had purchased another one based on their assurance that my order was cancelled. They then told me what I should do is just ship it back once it was delivered ... huh? I then told them it was their damn problem and that I wasn't even letting it in the door. Fast forward one week ... I get another phone call from another freight company saying they had a shuffleboad from Hayneedle to deliver. Huh? I said, I already told Pilot Freight that I was refusing it. This company was not Pilot Freight, but said they had never heard of this before. So I verified the order was originating from Hayneedle. Yes. I then asked them if, by chance, it was actually coming from Walmart? Anywhere on you paperwork does it mention Walmart? No. I said, "Are you sure?" And the freight company assured me it was from Hayneedle. So I refused it. Ten minutes later I look up my Walmart order in my email. It reads: Walmart and fullfilled by a company called Plumstruck." After a Google search, guess who owns Plumstruck. Freaking Hayneedle. What a freaking mess. Hayneedle. Plumstruck. And f Walmart too, while we're at it. Worst company on Planet Earth. And I've yet to receive a refund yet for the two shuffleboards and that was more than two weeks ago now. ###.

I was given a couple of Visa gift cards as a house warming gift, and decided to order a new table from Hayneedle (first time experience)...I plugged in info...received an acknowledgment... threw away the cards a few days later...and almost a week later... Hay needle rejects my order due to needing 1$ dollar per card ? and they can not give me the original gift card number because it was blocked out of their system, and I threw away the original cards! Long story short! No table, no gift cards, empty handed! And had hay needle informed me within 24 hours...this would have never happened! This company SUCKS !

I ordered 2 wardrobes and according to the UPS lost them. As a result of this they went ahead an caceled the order. My husband went ahead and place a second order since the firt one was lost and canceled. A week later we get the first shipment (the canceled one) and when we called to cancel the second one since we don't need 4 wardrobes, they said they cant cancel the order. Nice! They don't work with customers and I wouldn't recommend buying from this site unless you want to get ripped off!

Please stay away from these crooks! I ordered something, it never arrived... I called 2 weeks later to check on it and they claimed my bank declined the transaction. I asked why no one ever called me about it. They couldn't explain. This company is disgustingly shady. Their "supervisor" basically told me to shove it. BUYER! BEWARE!

This company needs to be taken to small claims court for my case
I ordered a $375 outdoor 2 person orbital lounger (one of two) in April. This past Saturday I was sitting in it with my daughter when we heard a loud snap and then the chair fell about 4 inches lower. We jumped up and saw the the large ball joint that supports the chair had broken in half. I emailed customer service and sent them a photo of the defective chair then called them directly. I was told it was past the 30 day warranty! I said that this was a VERY expensive outdoor chair that is obviously defective and dangerous. I asked them to contact their vendor to see about replacing it since it is one of two matching chairs. I received another email back today stating that it was past 30 days and they would offer me 10% off of another chair! I am APPALLED! I have never had such horrible service in my life! This company needs to be taken to small claims court for my case! $375 for a chair that broke in 90 days? I am furious!
One big joke of a company
ONE BIG JOKE OF A COMPANY. Their supplier was trying to go around them for the order. They took my order and after 3.5 months I finally canceled. When I canceled and bought the bed from another supplier, they wrote me back that said they have it. BIG JOKE ON ME.

I will NEVER order from them again
Ordered binoculars for a Christmas gift in the middle of December. Was not advised that the product was on backorder prior to purchase which I found deceiving. Was told that the product would be in shortly after Christmas. Continued to follow up every few weeks (they never reached out to me once to provide an update on the backorder status)but was continuously told that the product was still on backorder. Wound up canceling the order IN MARCH when product was still not in. Merry Christmas-I will NEVER order from them again.

We placed an order for an piece of gym equipment. We received an email that our order had shipped and an expected delivery date was given as well as a link to track the package. The day before the expected delivery, we checked the tracking only to discover that our order and shipping had been canceled. No email. No phone call. No explanation. We emailed customer service and received no response.
Cannot recommend doing business with this company.
Sneaky free shipping tricks
They advertise free shipping but if you return the item you pay for the shipping. It is not stated on the website or when you place the order. It is not even stated clearly in the return policy section, it just says we pay returns if we made the sistake, on section tells how to return the product with the return label. I order on line all the time and have never encountered a company that didn't pay for the returns. The cost to pay for the shipping to be returned for my item is $79.00, I would have never placed the order if I knew that.
First order with hayneedle.com, a bean bag chair (from beanbag.com) ordered as a Christmas gift for my 9 yr old granddaughter. Ordered 12/14/13 and chose expediated 2 day delivery, it said it was shipped on 12/16/13 and would arrive 12/18/13. Never came, the tracking number was not valid so we called on 12/23/13 since it had not come and were told they would "overnight" it and send an email with the info - They NEVER sent an email and it did NOT ARRIVE on 12/24/13 so we called on 12/26/13 and were told they would get us a valid tracking number. It is 12/27/13 and I called as we still don't have it and was told that BeanBag.com was out of the material and they were sorry but the material would arrive JAN. 6, 2014 and they would manufacture the them and ship with a FEW DAYS after that. All we got from Hayneedle and BeanBag.com were LIES AND LIES AND EXCUSES and Apologies. Very disappointed granddaughter - I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HAYNEEDLE OR BEANBAG.COM AGAIN. NOT TO BE TRUSTED!

I received a writing desk that was damaged and requested for instructions on how to return it at no cost to me. Mind you this was through Plumstuck.com (Hayneedle.com appears to be some sort of parent company). I was offered to have the damaged parts replaced. After making it clear a second time that I was not happy with the poor quality and that i insisted on retunring it, i was told that they (Walmart, from where i ordered it) will contact Plumstruck (the manufacturer) for a free return. A week later and I am still waiting to hear back on instructions to return the desk. If i don't hear anything in the next day...I am going up the ladder of remedy land.

I'm an ex employee of hayneedle.com. I wasn't customer service I was in sales. I guess I didn't lack enough personality to be customer service for they would never move me into the position. Anyway, yes this company is out for the money only. What do you expect with a CEO who was the man who created Walmart.com? As a sales person, excuuuse me "verity expert", I was told to lie to the customers so they would buy from the company. You'd think it was so the company would make more money wouldn't you? No, it was a rat race between sales supervisors, and who could make the bigger commission bonus check! Sad thing is when I was working there sales agents didn't make commissions, but the bosses did. So yes customers are not top priority with hayneedle... money is. So, beware if you want to buy from this company. You might buy a 3, 000 dollar lie. I should know, I sold many of them.

Horrible customer service. Ordered 2 wine racks that looked different than on the pictures online. Filled out a return process online, was supposed to take 48 hours and someone would call me back, did not work...called the customer service 4 days later...I will now receive an email with instructions within 48 hours on how to return the items at my cost! DO NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE. Websites like this will disappear by themselves due to their false advertisement and poor customer service. I will spread the word.
I ordered and item from hayneedle and three attemps later I was continuously receiving the item extremely damaged. Even though they advertise as free shipping, upon refussing to accept the broken item, the delivery men took it away. I was then charged $250. Fee. I disputed the fee with my credit card company and they sided with hayneedle. Even though they claim free shipping. So now I'm out $250. Do not buy anything from hayneedle. Save yourself the aggravation and expense.
Awful. I ordered 2 outdoor chairs in slate grey. A free table was offered. What I got was 2 dark brown chairs and NO table. Customer service said, they were out of stock on the table & would give me a credit. He said if they sent the table later - I would be charged for the table & shipping. What? The supervisor said they sent the brown, because they had no slate grey. What?
Never again. Terrible.
Now I know why the price was low and the shipping is free. The cartons were badly damaged upon delivery and consequently so were some of the components (rabbit hutch). I don't really expect any satisfaction from the company, and although damaged, the product is still usable, but buyers beware. I do NOT recommend this website. Go somewhere else and pay a little more.

I could not agree more -- they totally screwed up my delivery time and I still don't have what I ordered, which I needed two days ago. If I had not spent a ton of time emailing and calling the item would have been held by the shipper due to their error for another week! Total screw-ups. If you need something within a week, order it somewhere else.

Horrible quality merchandise and terrible customer service
My wife bought an OVERPRICED $200 wooden box from them that came unfinished and unassembled. It was made out of the cheapest flimsiest wood you can find and when I was assembling it with their horrible directions the crap wood split when I tightened the screw. I complained to them and first they said they'd send a new box but then sent only a piece, which was the WRONG PIECE. Then they harassed me to send the broken piece back or they would charge me for the replacement piece. Horrible quality merchandise and terrible customer service.

Terrible. I have been waiting over 45 days for my credit for my return on a $300 order. They say it takes 30 days to cut a return check; however, the request did not get processed until a week ago. I have called multiple times and every time they say it's taken care of, but it never is. They are completely incompetent. I will never order from them again.
Horrible! I ordered a table, got an order confirmation with an estimated shipping date. I called them a few weeks later to find out the actual shipping date, but I was told that my order had been canceled due low inventory! No one bothered to inform me. After that, they sent me someone else's order confirmation with the other customer's name, address etc... Order elsewhere!
Ordered several plastic containers - had to return one due the incorrect size. Hayneedle DOES NOT pay for returns or provide return labels. Because the item was large, it cost over $20 to return a $15 item. Customer service was short, rude and abrupt. Will NOT purchase from a company that does not accommodate returns.

Hayneedle refuses to post my review of one of their products, a Char Grill 4000 Gas Grill. It is a poorly designed grill. From my research it appears they will only post favorable reviews. Be careful if you are relying on consumer reviews to make a buy decision- I never will again!
