Site said 1 business day delivery but tracking says 6 days, by that time person I'm sending gift basket to is no longer going to be in hospital that I'm sending to. Customer service completely not helpful. Terrible service, shocking. Spent $118 on basket and to get absolutely no help is ridiculous. It's horrible that a special baby newborn basket gift is going to turn into a terrible gift or none at all as this is now going to get delivered to no one, at least no one who's at that hospital any more.

Seriously I never saw this review would not have bought a single dem from them. Customer service, delivery, knowledge, and purchasing do not have any star (zero). It has been two weeks since I order a gift basket to be delivered to my brother and wife. I made a mistake by inputting the wrong address because I thought of surprising. The customer service person told me to track my product and later request for 23aud for a change of address which my item will be delayed just a day. Fast is, it's 2 weeks delay and they don't know where my product is? Is food not just material and roaming every or laying somewhere is worth delivery.
I have been communicating with them Sam, Martina, etc none of them have been able to escalate my situation and some were been unprofessional by saying call the ups because we have to change the address. I am happy with your terrible service worth 200.00 dollars.
Such a disgrace that not even a proper service of handling issues has been done.
I will not recommend their service and product to anyone. They need to have a better blueprint and strategies.

Birthday cake delivery
It was my daughter's first birthday since she moved out of state. It was her 21st birthday, so I wanted to make it special. I her sent their birthday cake with birthday wrapping along with champagne &roses. The champagne & roses got there in 1 piece, but the cake was destroyed. She felt so badly when she saw the cake. She didn't tell me at first. She still tried to make the most of it and ate a bite of it. She immediately discovered it was rancid.
I've left messages to get a refund or replacement. No one answers or returns my calls.
I have called Hazelton's several times and left messages. No one ever answers the phone. This is beyond disappointing. All I wanted was a simple refund fir the cake or replacement cake in excellence.

On 9/9/2021 I ordered a custom gift basket to be delivered to my son in Herriman (SLC), Utah for his birthday. I selected his birthday (9/14/2021) for the delivery date. He never received the gift basket on 9/14. When customer service (outsourced through Live Agent) finally got back to me at the end of 9/15, they said it had been "delivered to the wrong address." Over 10 e-mails and 2 days later, my only options were: A) pay full price and let them deliver the basket "2 business days" later, which would have been a full week after my son's birthday; or B) no delivery ever and get a refund of what I paid "in 4-7 business days " which "could be longer". Terrible CRM, terrible service, no options for missed deliveries. Never again.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A COMPANY THAT DOES SCAMS ON THE BACKS OF INNOCENT CUSTOMERS!
This company offers you a beautiful sales site, with multiple choices, custom added products, and quick delivery.
However- non of it is true!
1. Delivery- they offer same-day delivery or 1-2 business days etc,
and after I purchase it, it took 4 days to arrived at its destination.
the customer service gave me copy-paste service lines that cover their [censored] in case of anything, crap about "deadline" time and after that- the delivery will take much longer, it doesn't show at the order status. its pure scam!
2. Basket quality- after the basket finally arrived, the wine goblet was broken, the entire basket was with broken glass everywhere!
3. Gourmet food added custom, I've added 3 paid products of 25$ that never arrived, not even other gourmet substitutes. just got the original products although I paid extra. the customer service keeps copy past me this answer and ignoring that I haven't received any of it!:
"When checking gourmet items, please keep in mind that customers WILL NOT receive every single gourmet item that they ask for when placing an order. What they end up with depends on the chosen budget and the combination of gourmet items they select, because each individual gourmet item/add-on has its own pricing. So if a customer chooses to spend $50 on 1-8 items, they will rarely get all 8 items; that's why it says 1 TO 8"
4. after that they said they will "investigate" it, and stop answering after.
I have never experienced such bad customer service, really the worst I ever experienced.
The whole policy is against providing customer service, for them in any case, the customer is NOT right no matter what.
BE CAREFUL OF THEM!

Charged me for items that weren't delivered
On Aug 25th 2021 I ordered a custom gift basket to be sent to my dad for his birthday, on behalf of my mom and myself. I ordered $263.99 worth of items (2 bottles of expensive wine, 1 bottle of liquor, 2 types of cheese and $50 of gourmet food items, as well as a specific greeting card with a message I wrote) plus $75 (!) for Next Day Delivery and asked for it to be delivered Aug 26th 2021, specified an address and my mom's phone number as contact number for delivery.
The package ended up being left on Aug 26th on the neighbors' doorstep (!) without anyone even contacting my mom. Within the package there was only one bottle of wine which wasn't any of the items I ordered and was worth half the price of the lower cost choice I made, no liquor, only one type of cheese (the lower cost of the two I ordered) and some gourmet food items. The greeting was printed on plain white paper instead of a card. All in all there was a $165 discrepancy between what I paid for and what was actually delivered.
Customer support phone number on the website is a permanent busy signal, unable to reach. Customer support live chat on the website was absolutely incompetent - kept trying to gaslight me and tell me I did receive items I ordered, counted the packaging of the one bottle of wine as a second bottle of wine, offered me at one point a refund of 15% (!) on items which were altogether missing, kept trying to claim that receiving 2 items worth ~$40 was an appropriate "substitute" for 4 items worth ~$200. At the end they claimed the bottle of liquor was sent separately (what the hell kind of idea is it to ship contents of a *gift basket* not in the same basket?!?!?) and advised to wait for its' delivery and 'try the phone line listed which is the only one available' (yeah, right). In parallel I also contacted customer support via email - they also initially tried to claim the discrepancy was within the substitution policy, and later also claimed the bottle of liquor was sent separately and will arrive on Aug 27th and the rest of the discrepancy will be refunded and I will be notified by email momentarily.
12 hours later and the liquor did not arrive, nor was I provided any notification and confirmation that the refund was indeed submitted - customer support stopped responding in the middle.

Placed my order on Aug 11th for delivery on Aug 13th but to date it has not been delivered. The shipper used was Ontrac. Asked for a refund but was told I can't get one because order was dispatched. Ordered a luxury champagne hamper- don’t know if it’s been sent
I live in the U.K. and ordered a hamper for my boyfriend who has turned 40 who is currently out in Africa. I thought Hazletons would be able to deliver quickly. They took my money $188.22 and promised delivery. This was July 30th. Since then no hamper received and they haven't told me any tracking details. I cannot get into my online account as they have made this absolutely impossible. I received an email back from Nitesh after I said I wanted to cancel. She said I couldn't. I chased and chased to get answers and in the end they said it was being sent from the facility which I don't believe. My boyfriend has received nothing. Trying to get through to Hazletons is impossible. The phone number also does not work. I am upset and disappointed. Pls advise….

I am complaining about a very generous and thoughtful gift basket the I received completely damaged.
The sender was so kind to provide the receipt and this gift basket was fully loaded with cheeses, meats, crackers, cookies, beer and wine.
The box was received with the tape broken and crushed. The basket that was originally holding the items was missing.

I ordered my fiancée some chocolate dipped strawberries with pears to cheer her up because we have been temporarily separated internationally due to Covid. I was told on the website that the 1. Order would be placed and delivered in 90 minutes to Luxembourg (it very cleary was not. 2. Customer service would cancel my order (they did not.) 3. They "reserve the right to make substitutions (see pics of their substituted goods.)
I had 78.00 placed on an order of gourmet treats for her and revieved a cheap bag of nuts, a box of Graham crackers, a pathetic card that only said"best wishes, " some cheap Toblerone chocolate and a cheap plastic bag. I got maybe 10.00 worth of goods and they would not refund anything they said (See their response in email screenshot). This company is a fraud.
The nice strawberries and pears pic I attached last is what I had ordered. (Attached as well).

Tea lights and tea gift basket
This basket arrived 5/27/21 and I was so embarrassed by the condition and contents. The items received were not as pictured and several items left out. There was no tea pot, no wooden tea light holders or candles and no wooden serving tray. The flowers were completely wilted. There was a container of muffins which were completely crushed, and a plastic container of cookies, both from Walmart with the store label still attached. Are these their versions of gourmet cookies? I had to laugh when I saw the label! The crushed muffins had pieces of the package stuffing inside. There was to be $15 worth of fruit but instead there was one grapefruit. I'm scratching my head trying to figure out what exactly cost $135.
I emailed the company with my complaint and pictures to support it. They did respond and said that in placing the order I agreed to allow substitute items of equal or greater value and that I also agreed to no refunds. Several emails back and forth and they agreed to refund half, stating they don't recommend shipping for perishable items. This is not the issue. The issue is that they bought subpar items from Walmart that couldn't have been more than $40 and charged me $135. They care nothing about out customer service or satisfaction. The last picture is what it should have looked like. The others are what was received.

Fine, disappointing, but at least it got there, right? No - wrong, an order DID arrive, but it was not what I ordered - MY order contained macaroons, champagne flutes and a Teddy bear, with French Champagne - my friend received PASTA, 2 dinky glasses and (thankfully) the champagne.
Who would order PASTA for an important birthday!?
What is worse, is that no-one even contacted me to advise that perhaps you didn't have the items in stock, and this is what we can offer instead - nothing at all.
In the meantime, I have found several reviews on line of people with the same grievances and similar experiences where they are contacting you for refunds or to rectify the orders and they are being ignored.

I don't even know where to begin. My first problem was with the site being deceitful with the delivery. It clearly says "gift baskets free delivery, same day!". There's no "exceptions apply" that's not anywhere. It also says it needs to be over $100. I find a basket over $100 which it then asks me to pick a day I want it delivered which is next day so I figured it would be no problem since it says "same day". I go to pay and it say 3 business days.
So I call but the only line that has real people is pressing 1. Now in my experience a sales team is trained in customer service but not according to quinton, the sales supervisor who mocked me, yelled at me, was ignorant and so much more. He wouldn't let me speak to anybody else and kept lying saying only he was working but the rep before me says there's 2 of them working. He also denied me to speak to his supervisor to put in a complaint. After he was done mocking me and for lack of better words, bullying me, I hung up in tears bawling my eyes out. I have never been treated like this ever before and I can't believe he is still employed there driving away business. Told me i'm not a customer yet since I have not officially purchased anything so he would not be treating me like a customer. I just don't know how this company can still be opening when they treat people like this.
I can't get in contact with the "actual customer service" department and nobody would transfer me to them. I have never left a bad review anywhere before but I can not let someone else subject themselves to this kind of bullying and giving their money over to these deceitful people.
Update: I tried to email customer service but I was given an incorrect email!
Birthday cake ordered for same day delivery and delivered 2 days later destroyed
I live in Toronto. After Googling "gift baskets Princeton NJ", I found Hazelton's. Their website offered a birthday cake and champagne gift and said same day delivery was available if ordered before 2pm. I ordered it at 9am. I indicated the shipping address was Princeton, NJ. At no point was I made aware that this gift would not arrive same day. And, as it was a cake, I expected it would since it's perishable.
Not only did they NOT deliver same day as indicated on their site, a birthday cake took 2 extra days to arrive and was completely destroyed. Also, the champagne brand I ordered was not correct and I was never told there might be a substitution.
On the day the cake was expected to arrive my friend informed me at 10pm it still had not. I contacted customer service 3x. Twice I was told the gift was shipped and given a tracking number. But nobody addressed the fact that it was not arriving same day. When I addressed the fact that their site offers same day, they said I had chosen the Domestic Ground Service option for delivery. I never chose delivery - I was just informed my gift would be shipped via ground. Clearly that is how a cake supposedly from Princeton would be shipped to an address in Princeton. The label on the box it came from shows it came from a location in NY, NY.
I only found out about their horrible reputation after my experience. So disappointing and also ridiculous that they actually think they can ship an iced birthday cake intact by UPS over 2 days. Unrefrigerated. It's preposterous. And the cake was clearly a cheap store bought cake because they left half the sticker on the package. They couldn't even get that right.

Champagne and fruit basket
I bought a champagne and pear basket I added apples bananas and oranges I spent $106 and when the fruit arrived for my son the bananas were black and had bugs in them and the pears were rotten. There was supposed to be an upgraded bottle of champagne instead ir was a cheap bottle of wine there was supposed to be flutes and instead there were cheap wine glasses.The basket was also damaged ans I ordered balls which were never delivered I was so embarrassed when my son received this we had to apologize to him. Despite our best efforts, we can't guarantee the condition in which products of this nature will be delivered if in transit for longer time periods.
We recommend that customers only ship perishable items if willing to pay for/upgrade to the fastest shipping method available during checkout (same-day, next-day, overnight); we also include this advisory in the product details of most of our perishable and custom baskets. According to your order confirmation, the shipping method selected requires more than one business days' transit: Ground Service® Delivery to businesses by 5 pm and residences by 8 pm. Easter gift basket
I ordered an EASTER basket on April 1. The website order page said it would be delivered April 3rd, the day before Easter. It wasn't! It was delivered today, April 9th. The excuse given was delivery system delay but that's not true at all. The order wasn't even given to UPS until after Easter. The friend I sent it to was going out of town the day after Easter. I had to tell him a gift was coming so he could ask a neighbor to bring it inside. That chocolate wouldn't last an hour on the Florida sun!
I paid $86 and feel I got ripped off because the "Easter" basket is nearly a week late.

on March 26, 2021 I ordered a gift/fruit basket (cost = $127) for a grieving family that lost their grandmother. After ordering the basket, I called their customer service to ensure the correct address was entered and to determine the exact date it would be delivered. I was told that it would be delivered one business day following the order. The order was delivered over a week later and the food was rotten. I complained to the company and was refused credit. I clearly will not use this organization again and home this complaint influences others.
