Absolutely the worst service I have ever received. I wish I read the reviews before going ahead and ordering a gift that has yet to arrive to a location where the birthday person has already left. What is worse is their customer support. They do not pick up the lines, their emails are automated replies and to top it all they charge you for a premium shipping service only to find out that they are using ground shipping. Absolutely horrific!

Gift basket order for married couple
Hazelton's has the absolute worst customer service ever. I ordered a gift basket for a recently married couple - the husband is deploying to Iraq to serve our country, so it was imperative that the gift be delivered by a specific date. While placing the order I was prompted to enter my delivery preference and I also paid for expedited shipping, however once I received my email confirmation it was clear the gift would not be delivered in time. I immediately called the company, however the 1-800 number advertised on both their website and the order confirmation email was not in service. Next I live chatted a customer service agent (they advertise 24/7 assistance) and was told that she was the only person working due to it being a Saturday and did not have authority to cancel or refund my order. She stated I should call Monday morning at 9am EST. I sent emails over the weekend as well - both Saturday and Sunday - only to be met by additional unhelpful responses refusing to cancel the order by placing blame on me as the customer and shipping providers. I called at 9:00am on the dot Monday morning, and received a voicemail stating all lines were full, so I requested a call back. By 9:45am I had yet to receive a call back, so I called again, and received the same response. I then live chatted AGAIN, only to be told no one could help me. This is ridiculous. I've been trying since I placed the order to cancel it, and continue to try to get in touch with a manager 2 days later. By 2:00pm EST I still had not received a call back, so I called a final time. The agent I spoke with flat out REFUSED to escalate my case to a manager after I made numerous pleas. Why deny a customer an opportunity to speak to someone in charge? This is the absolute worst customer service I have ever received in my entire life. The company refuses to cancel the order, to allow me to speak to a manager, or to let me pay additional money for further expedited shipping.
DO NOT ORDER FROM HAZELTON'S GIFTS. Go to Harry & David's instead. Hazelton does not care about your customer experience or satisfaction. They overpromise and underdeliver, then refuse to provide alternative solutions.

Gift basket
I ordered a gift basket from Hazelton's on January 2nd to be delivered on January 8th. I would understand with covid, that it may be a few days late, however, it is now almost 3 MONTHS late. I reached out to customer service by phone and email multiple times, until someone finally answered me on March 15th, stating they would escalate this to their claims department. I didn't hear back after 9 days, so I responded to the email asking if there was an update. They sent me back an automated message stating that due to coronavirus, delivery's might be up to 3 days late. I explained to them AGAIN that my order was almost 3 months late - not 3 days - and I requested a refund. They responded saying that due to their terms and conditions they cannot approve my request for a refund. I cannot believe that a company would have in their "terms and conditions" that a customer can't receive a refund when they never got the product that they paid for. I am infuriated since this gift basket was $115.
A gift basket worth $400 for an international order
I ordered a gift basket last year from hazeltons' worth 400 to be sent a friend for his birthday in Malaysia.
They were quick to charge my card but never delivered on this for a year.
I wrote several emails, dropped them chats on the live chat and no one has followed up or reverted.
The do not respond or revert and have just ignore that they have charged me.
And not a single reply at all to over ten emails in the last year.
I am sick of this and want to draw attention to their scam tactics on social media

Monroe fruit basket
I ordered an organic fruit for my mum who is unwell. The picture on their website shows a basket of fruits with bananas, a bunch of grapes, pears, and apples. My mum received rotten bananas in a plastic bag as soon as she opened it, flies / insects flew out, some dried grapes in a plastic cup, bruised rotting pears, a dried lemon and three oranges all in metal bucket. The price paid for this mess was $89.07.

I purchased a $150 gift basket for a business associate that was supposed to include a high end bottle of liquor. Not only did they not have ANY liquor in the gift basket, all of the snack items were completely different then what was advertised. It was a complete joke and embarrassment. When I tried to call the company to resolve the issue, it just sent me to a recording and hung up on me.

In december I ordered a membership because it looks like the flowers are beautiful for my daughter for xmas. It cost $720 for the year which is alot but i spent it. The item arrived 6 weeks later than it was suppose to and the flowers were DEAD. The company said well that's too bad - and they tried to charge me twice for shipping. After thousands of emails I kept arguing with them they would not let me cancel my membership even though it meant dead flowers. After many emails they said they would give me a credit for $600 because I still had to pay for the dead flowers. INSANE. So we ordered two gift baskets and paid alot of money to upgrade to two very expensive bottles of champagne just to use the credit. They arrived with $10 bottles of champagne and one arrived with DEAD bananas. I was told they can substitute and doesn't matter value. and the dead bananas oh well. I am still trying to get my money back. These people are fraudulent and cheating company .. It is terrible terrible terrible and their customer service is horrible.

Hazelton: poor customer service; poor product control
1. Items pictured were substituted: When you carefully choose a basket for its items, I wasn't happy to see they had been substituted for lesser interesting items (ex. vodka olives substituted for average olives).
2. Items pictured were NOT included: My basket was to include a cutting board and cheese knife... but they weren't in the basket.
3. Extra items purchased were not included: I added on 4 extra items to fill out the basket but they were NOT put in the basket.
4. Items not pictured or requested added: My basket did not originally include a candle but one was added. I would never have chosen this item.
I feel so disappointed with my purchase. A group of us had sent this to a friend who lost her sister. So sad that we couldn't honour her with what was supposed to be sent, a lovely basket.

I ordered a subscription for my mom for
Christmas and it never arrived, it wasn't until a month later that it was shipped after numerous unresponsive requests in order status updates. When it arrived the flowers were moldly and stinky! I sent photos and tried to call numerous times and still no response! I have received zero service or refund! I tried to do a charge back with my credit card to which Hazeltons responded to them and not me saying they fulfilled the order! This order was not fulfilled. The first delivery was scheduled for January 4th, it didn't even get shipped until January 26 after I reached out so many times. Nobody has ever called or emailed to respond to me. It is so unprofessional and beyond lack of customer service.

Gift basket
After checking out the Hazelton's web site, which is very impressive and offers a great assortment of products, I ordered a gift online. The first order arrived without any issues and initially, I was quite pleased with the customer service. So, I ordered another gift. Then, the problems started. Granted, it was the holiday season, but I would have been happy to have the gift delivered some time in January. I was billed immediately but the recipient never received the gift. I checked with the recipient (a family member) in mid January and... nothing from Hazeltons. I tried to contact Hazelton's several times by phone and email to check on the order status. By phone, no one answered and the only option available was to leave a voicemail. I never received a response to two voicemail messages. I tried emailing — still no answer. So, I disputed the charge with my credit card provider. And, the document has the first order and second order mixed together, so clearly they do not have a clue about what happened.
So, my credit card company rebilled the amount to me. I feel that this company disrespected as a customer and frankly I feel "ripped off." Please be careful about doing business with them. They are clearly not capable of handling the holiday volume — or even more than one order from the same person. I eventually contacted another company that I had worked with in the past, and their gift basket was delivered in good order and on time. Never again with Hazeltons!
I will be surprised if I receive a response from Hazeltons However, it seems to be the only option I have left to try to reach the company.

Chocolate covered strawberries on a 3-tier tray
According to the Hazelton's Gift Basket catalogue, I ordered 25 large chocolate-covered strawberries beautifully arranged on a 3 tier tray for a birthday to be delivered Sept 29, 2020. First, the package got lost for 8 days. Second, when the package was finally found, there were NO chocolate-covered strawberries in the package and the tray was broken and disassembled in a box from China. Instead, they substituted (without informing me or without my authorization) 4 cheap Lindt chocolate bars and about a dozen wrapped Lindt truffles that can be purchased at Walmart, and the 3 tier glass tray had to be assembled and was broken. This package was cheap and could not have cost more than $15 and was NOT what I paid $75 for when I ordered. I contacted customer service to inform them that I didn't receive my order at first. Then, when I did find the package after 8 days, I informed them of my dissatisfaction about the substituted inferior quality items that were sent without my authorization or without informing me prior to shipping. I would have cancelled the order had I know that they would send me these products. I asked customer service to give me a return merchandise authorization # RMA to return their package and they refused to give me a refund even after I asked them after many emails and calls to their customer service. It is unacceptable that they sent me inferior substituted items & damaged products that I didn't order!

Unsatisfactory Product, Not as Advertised
If you make a purchase from this company, expect a far inferior product to be delivered and terrible customer service. We ordered a basket of chocolate covered chocolates for around $70 and were given a bag of plain strawberries and a bar of chocolate, it's worth no more than $13. I emailed multiple times to get a refund or replacement. 11 days later, I received an email that basically said "tough" claiming that by making a purchase I agree to substitutions and give up my right for a refund. They are definitely not interested in my repeat business.

I ordered a gift basket off of the website for one of their many "front" websites all stemming and tracing back to this company. It was a vodka redbull gift basket that cost over 125.00 that was not at all received. These websites take your money and do not deliver products. This is a fraud and looking back at all of these complaints I am not sure how they are not put in jail. I am requesting a FULL refund. There is no customer service its an automated numbers. No one gets back to you - they are breaking the law.

This company poses as several different websites that all come back to Hazeltons or Gift Corp. What you order on line will never come or will come as a bag of nuts- I want a refund for the 123.00 charge. They have alias names - websites - and they should be put in jail. SCAM ALERT! Worst Company Ever!
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! Worst customer service ever! First, they advertise "Free shipping on all orders within the continental USA" NOT TRUE! I was charged $22.19 and my requested delivery date was February 4th, 2021 but it wasn't even delivered until February 10th! I had ordered on January 29, 2021 a special Chinese NY basket that contained traditional items and I even paid extra for special gourmet items: BOSS Wine Pairing Bars ($12.99) & Extra Candy ($15.00). When the order arrived, it was wrapped sloppy, in a bent bucket that had some random snacks instead of the gourmet items I paid for that didn't even go with Chinese NY! If you try calling the Customer Service #'s, no one answers and the message states to email your concerns. I called at various times and wrote 4-5 emails. Finally, on the 8th of February, I get an email apologizing and basically using the pandemic as an excuse for the delay. NO REFUND! Their policy is that if they don't have something, they can replace it with whatever they have without checking with the customer first! They don't care that you ordered a SPECIAL THEMED basket for a specific celebration. They'll just send you whatever they have laying around despite it not even being close to what you ordered! WORST COMPANY EVER!

I ordered a custom gift for a birthday. The gift DID NOT arrive on the birthday and I couldn't get anyone on the phone to explain what happened. The next day, after pretending to place a new order, I managed to talk to a real person who told me that the gift came back to them because they made a mistake on the shipping label. She promise it will be resent as soon as possible. The gift arrived 2 days after the original delivery date with the wood tray broken and diet from the plant scatter all over the items. I sent an email with pictures to the person who communicated with me but did not receive a reply until today. I also wrote a review but it was completely ignored.

Gift basket delivery
The the custom gift basket I ordered had a selection of items to purchase to fill the basket. I had 8 items selected which added a pretty high total. When the package was delivered my parents sent me a thank you photo and was shocked to see what they had received. Items were missing and there were empty spots in the basket like they had been removed. When I tried contacting Hazelton's to try and resolve the missing items, I was told they were allowed to replace an item if they did not have it in stock. Well, chocolate covered Strawberries, other chocolates along with Brie Cheese was replaced with tortilla chips. The type of basket you pay for was also different and not at all comparable in price. This was a total rip off and absolutely no response or resolution. Total scam.

Beer Gift Basket
I ordered a beer bucket for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day, asking it to be delivered 2/14.
They delivered it 2/9.
The box it came in was marked "fragile" but didn't look like it was handled gently.
It had a broken beer bottle, which spilled in the basket and caused a hazard with the glass.
They gave him the wrong beer —- I ordered 4 Pilsner, they gave him 4 Miller Draft., which is inferior quality. The other two beer types ordered were correct, though one was broken.
I ordered snacks with the beer, he received NONE.
I ordered the gift in a galvanized metal bucket, they gave him a wicker basket.
I paid over $100 for this and it was a total failure.
Desired outcome: Refund - or partial refund. An apology.
On line order of a Gift basket for delivery
I ordered a gift basket on the 11th January to be delivered on the 4th Feb to the UAE for a birthday gift. It cost me $114 Australian and I re riced a receipt with order specifications and an order number for tracking. I have since emailed 3 times to check on the status of my order and cannot get a response and the last 2 emails won't go through because the inbox is full,
I am very concerned that this company has taken my money and my order will not be sent.
