I am Saket jain, an account holder in HDFC bank in Vasundhra, Ghaziabad branch.I had applied for a locker in the Rajendra Nagar, Ghaziabad branch and on feb, 14 2013, i received a call from the bank employee name Pooja saying that they have vacancy and confirmed my request for the locker and called me to take it over. I went to bank on saturday where this employe, Ms.pooja manipulated and tried to convince me for paying certain amount to them and also said they would give me the account only after receiving this amount from me. Hope my complaint is taken seriously and some action is taken as soon as possible otherwise i would like to discontinue my account from the respective bank.

Worst ever experience with hdfc home loans. My property value is 51 lacks. I applied loan for 30 lacks. 13 lacks I have already paid. They took 2 moths for the sanction letter. All possible proof was asked like source of each transaction enrty in the account statement. They gave confirmation to builder that they will do disbursement. All possible proof check they did. Original agreement papers they took. On the day of collection of cheque, they say they cannot disburse the loan amount before we clear own contribution amount. All the people who dealt with us are lying on our face that this clause was told to you, and no where this clause is mentioned. All processing changes, stamp duty chanrges they took.. Now we went to sales head. They said they will consider our case as there wasmiscommunication from their side. They ask for some more proof papers. After 15 days I get a call from hdfc chembur branch, you can come and collect the cheque in 2 days. Clause is before the 2 nd disbursement, we'll have to pay remaining own contribution amount which we agreed. Next day person from credit department calls up and says this process is against trhe policiy we cannot approve your disbussement cheque. Then we decided we'll arrange remaining own contibution amount from our parents and friends and give it. For this they say its not allowed. You cannot take money from anyone else. This will be treated like another loan. Then home loan we cannot give you.

today i.e. 20/01/2013 received a message regarding smart pay utility bill for payment not showing which bill is to be paid by credit card. I m to state that please deactivate the smarty pay facility from my credit card immediately as all bills which were registered through credit card are being paid by me by other mode of payment. These facility is no more needed to me.
I, therefore, request to deactivate all registered bills, through smart pay option at the earliest.

change of sb a/c to classic a/c without consent
About a month back I got a phone call from a lady named SOUMI (introduced her over phone no. 033-[protected] as a HDFC Employee). She repeatedly asked my permission to switch my normal SB a/c with HDFC to a Classic bank a/c.
No permission was given to her in this regard. Rather I asked her identity which was not there. Still she made my bank a/c to HDFC Classic a/c without my permission.
My question is who is Soumi? How she can handle my a/c to convert it to Classic a/c?
I don't want to be a classic account holder.
My savings account with HDFC bank was converted to HDFC classic bank account without my consent.

Bank is trying to put illegal pressure on me and trying to recover that amount from me. Bank has given this case to some collection agency and some very cheap people keeps me calling and harras me. undue delay in foreclosure processing
I gave a request along with the chq to the hdfc home loan pune (Magarpatta) office to foreclose my loan on 1 august. My cheque was deposited in clearing with a delay of 6 days... Due to sign mismatch my cheque was returned by the bank. I again went to the office and ask the service executive "mr. Jadhav" to do the needful. But I was misguided by him as he said that my insatllment which is due on 10 aug has already been processed and it wil take other 2 days to update in their system since it is advisable to foreclose the loan on 13 august. But my installment was not deducted on 10 august. Then I again approached the bank and some other executive accepted my request of foreclosure on 11 august including the 10 days intrest.
Kindly let me know why I have to pay intrest of 10 days because of your dalays.. Why my chq was deposited on 6 aug whwn I deposited the same on 1 august. I want my intrest back.
As well as he denied me to give the reurned chq back even the xerox copy of that chq.

Sir, I am having HDFC Credit card and as usual they are charging exhorbitant interest charges, penal charges and all sort of expenses etc., . When I am asking the representative for closure of card they are not willing to, rather they are misguiding me not to close the card, as it will be reflecting in CIBIL and ur credit rating etc.,
This shows that they don't want to close but sqeeze the consumer and on top of that they are talking all sorts of non-sense when they are trying to contact.

I opened my HDFC savings account [protected]) on dec 2011 and i applied for Credit Card through online reference no: 11112518958250S3, after that i got a call from hdfc executive saying that i have to submit the salary slip, address proof, pan card and contact details through courier or hdfc bank to the head office chennai, then i sent all these documents through courier and through hdfc bank also but i didnt get any response from the hdfc executives and i sent those documents five times to chennai head office, and i call to hdfc credit card department executives so many times they are not answering my queries and upto 2 months i called to them but they said my credit card request was rejected, i asked "whats the problem i sent the documents what u said', then they said we are unable to process and after they didnt respond to my calls.
In May 2012 i opened my salary account [protected]), this time i went to my local branch to apply for credit card reference number and consulted the credit card executive, i filled and submitted the documents what they want and i gave address proof, salary slip, and my company contact details, after 1 week i got a call from hdfc executive and enquired my birth details and company details, and they called to my company and enquired, they got all the information and called me back and said "sir we got the conformation form your company and your address proof is also correct with in few weeks we will process your credit card", after that i saw the online status it was rejected, then i called to the executive(040-[protected]) and asked why it was rejected they said " sir we are the third party agency for HDFC BANK, we dont know why it was rejected, but we got the correct information form your company as well as your address proof" and i went to my local branch and asked the executive he checked the status and saying we to dont understand why it was rejected, so many times i contacted the executives and enquired about my rejectyion of credit card, they are unable to answer why it was rejected.
Even though i am submitting all those documents they needed, and their third part agency executives also enquired about my side was true information, they rejected my credit card request, the executives in hdfc banks are not giving proper response, every time iam calling they are telling we dont know, we dont know.
So please solve my problem, and get the credit card request approved.

I have recently got the HDFC Ergo policy with my hdfc Credit card. After i received my card, i got the call for this policy. I was told whatever sum I pay as premium, it will be tax free, I can understand that it only provides exemption not a rebate. I have called them to cancel the policy, but they said, it is processed and cannot cancel by that time. I would like to cancel the policy because my company is already providing insurance. so, Please cancel the same and debit the amount back to my credit card.

cheque delayed for 2 months
Case 1:
I, Mr.Anish Paul is maintaining an account in HDFC Bank Acc no:[protected] since 17/12/2011 at HDFC Bank, Vadavalli Branch.I wish to inform you that I was unsatisfied with the banking operations which I faced and the lathargic response from the staffs at HDFC Bank, Vadavalli.
I had presented two USD cheques in the month of February worth 300$ and 110$.The bank had informed us that it will take 21 working days for the cheque to get cleared. But we came to know that 110$ was cleared on 13/3/2012.But when enquired about the 300$ cheque, the then teller Mrs.Vidhya by looking at the computer repeatedly said us that the 300$ cheque was not cleared till 17/4/2012, eventhough we approached many times after the maturity period of 21 days for the 300$ cheque. Mrs.Vidhya also communicated with us that there might be chances for Mr.Satish Paul to re-present the cheque, also added they shall confirm on the same day whether to re-present the cheque or not.
Knowing this situation, I had e-mailed by brother on 17/4/2012 to re-present the 300$ cheque.I came to know from my brother that the 300$ cheque was already cleared on February 7, 2012 at Kanjur Marg, Mumbai.I am attaching the cheque for your reference.
On the same day the then teller Mrs.Vidhya informed us that the cheque was already cleared on 28/2/2012.When enquired what was the reason that we were dragged for 2 months to know about the cheque status, she replied that there was an error in the computer.
We had brought this situation to the Branch Manager Mr. Subbaraman P K on 18/4/2012.He had also sent an e-mail cc to my brother Mr.Satish Paul regretting for the inconvenience caused.I have attached the e-mail for your reference.
As I was unsatisfied with the service at the HDFC bank, Vadavalli branch.I complained at the Trichy head office of HDFC bank. By communicating with the Vadavalli branch, the staff at trichy bank informed us that as Mrs.Vidhya was resigning from the job, she had miscommunicated with us knowingly.
Problem:
Eventhough the statement of accounts shows that the cheque was cleared on 28/2/2012, I feel that the amount has not reflected to my account.
If it was cleared on 28/2/2012 why did the bank refused to pass the information that the cheque was already cleared?
Case 2:
I had received a cheque deposit from Ranchi of Rs 85, 000 on 23/5/12.I also received a sms alert from TD-HDFCBK that “Amt of INR 85, 000 deposited to A/c XXXX2947 towards CHQ DEP-MICR CLG-HINOO Value 24 May, 2012.Cheque credits subject to clearing.”
I had presented a Self cheque of Rs78, 700 on 24/5/2012.But I was refused to receive the amount as I had insufficient balance to be withdrawn.I am attaching the cheque for your reference.
At noon, 25/5/2012 I had called the Vadavalli HDFC branch to enquire about the uncleared cheque of Rs85, 000.I was informed to call at 5pm, as advised I called at 5pm, they said that the cheque was not cleared.But as I insisted them to present me the Statement of Accounts, the next moment they themselves called me and informed that the cheque was cleared.
Problem:
When seeing the Statement of Accounts, it is visible that the Rs85, 000 was cleared on 23/5/2012.I have also read “Closing balance includes funds earmarked for hold and uncleared funds.”, on the statement of accounts.
I feel now that eventhough the statement of accounts shows that 300$ was cleared on 28/2/2012, there may be some error that the 300$ was uncleared till date.
Once I took the mini-statement on 25/5/2012 from HDFC ATM at Vadavalli, it is showing CHD C 85, 000 on 23/5/2012.
I would like to know what do you mean by CHD C?
My ultimate worry is that in Case 1 the Bank clarified me by showing the Statement of Accounts that the 300$ cheque was cleared on 28/2/2012.If this is the case by seeing the statement of accounts I should also have been paid Rs.78700 on 24/5/2012 itself.
Eventhough the statement of account shows that Rs.85000 is deposited to my account on 23/5/2012 I would like to know why there is a delay in encashing it.
If you clarify to say that outstation cheque takes 3 days to clear why is the Statement of Accounts showing Rs.85000 is cleared on 23/5/2012.
I do not want to know when my 300$ cheque was SUBJECTED TO CLEARING.I want to know when was the 300$ cheque encashed to my account.

I am a zero balance salary a/c holder in HDFC Bank Ltd, Damodar building, GR FLR, Swatantra path, Vasco=Da-Gama (Goa) and my SB a/c No.[protected] and has been operating the a/c for the last two years. It is observed that a sum of Rs.24.09, 110.30, 112.36 (3rd party cash txn (Mar/Apr/May 2012) & Rs. 9.62, 376.43, 393.26 (AMB CHRG) Total =Rs.1026.06 has been debited wrongly from my said A/C.. As such, please revert back the above said amount to show the actual credit balance as Rs.1044.01 including Rs.17.95(present balance amount). At present I am away from Goa on study leave at Kerala and will be back after 3 months.
In view of the above, I hope you will co-operate with me for crediting Rs.1026.06 in my said account earliest, so that I could operate my a/c with full confidence.

cancellation of credit card and insurance policy and inappropriate charges
I have hdfc bank credit card. On december 2011, they have offered me mediclaim policy on that credit card. On march, I sent the application for the closure of credit card and policy, they have cancel my credit card but instead of cancel the policy also they have pre close it and levied inappropriate charges on it. They even didn't informed me also about it. Now after 2 months they are calling for the payment of that pre close amount and they have converted it into loan without my knowledge and original amount was rs 7500 but now its around 9500 because of that charges. I don't want that policy and I already send the application for totally cancellation of that policy again but they are not answering it and calling for the payment.
Its really a mental pressure for me. What should I do in this situation?

hdfc charging steep roi to existing customers and not allowing pre-payment too
I had taken a dual rate loan from HDFC, which converted to a Floating rate loan after the completion of Fixed rate . I am currently being asked to pay a Floating rate interest of 12% on my loan, whereas the New customers for similar loan amount are being offered ROI of 10.75% to 11%.
When I approached HDFC for the same, they said that I Will need to pay a Service charge to avail of lower rate of interest. The Service charge being sought is Rs 70, 225. I see this as penalising existing customers while trying to attract new ones. The Customers Credit profile, Repayment History, Loan Risk parameters needs to be taken in to account in such instances, which is not the case. .
On top of that HDFC is not allowing me to Prepay the Dual rate home loan inspite of specific instructions from NHB that prepayment charges can not be levied on the customers. On one hand HDFC is charging me exorbitant ROI for my Housing loan and on other hand they are not allowing me to reduce my interest outgo by prepaying the Loan amount.
If this is what the Premier Housing Financing company is doing to its customers, what can we expect from other institutions.

Customer support agent should follow some phone ethics. i day i called customer support to get a info about the bill that i received today. For that i have to call morel than 7 times but still i didn't get my answer. 2 call backs has been scheduled no call no info till now. I'm going to take this bank out of my company I'll recommend my office people to kick this hdfc bank for sure. this bank will pay for this for sure...
Today i called hdfc customer support credit card division 3 times i was pushed out since i couldn't confirm my address. and fourth time got an agent was not at all trying to help. hence asked for supervisor support agent disconnected the call. my question is simple which is about the bill which i received today. second time call back was scheduled and no call no info for that and again i called the customer support to check that also i asked supervisor at that time no supervisors avail they were on meeting. again a call back scheduled. still no call i received. again evening i called then they ended up saying tools are down have to call by 6pm. just to talk to supervisor a customer has to go through all this. This isn't how customer support should work. I'm not gonna let this go just like this. i will escalate this as much as i can. otherwise I'll join with people whoever had this kind of bad experience and make the higher authority to hear my problem...

pathetic collection policy
Hdfc bank seems to have 'no described guidelines' in terms of collection. Any collection executive takes the call so personally and demands for the due payment, like his personal agenda. The keep calling repeatedly 5-6 times, if the phone call is not picked, I hope there are some contact policies for them, or any law, which they can abide to. How many times a day they may try to reach to a customer? Or whether they should redial the number for 6 times at a stretch?
While communicating, they take the issue so personally, that, leaving respect, they get into all types of mode, i. E., commanding, demanding, instructing and also hurting the personal emotions. They are no one to command us, that, we shouldn't have taken the card or loan (we also have a car loan with them), and this type of communication has occurred during both the collection, and none of has ever been 30 dpd (Day past due), so, it seems that, they are trying to use recovery policy right from the begining, i. E., 90 dpd.
All above that, the credit card collection people sent a person to collect the money on 25th march 2012 (Sunday), with out any prior discussion, and the person was drunk. When complaint about the same to abhijeet rajpal (Collection manager), he was not bothered about it and he also tried to put it on me, stating that, I am trying to fool because I didn't wanted to make the payment. We have never denied the payment and have always tried to make it on the said date, also have said no to those particular day when it was not possible, I am sure that, they will have the recordings for all those calls
