a 1556.00$ bill
I have seen where hrrg has been sending out fake bills to people saying they owe outrageous bills, I have received a bill in the mail from hrrg collections saying I owe 1556.00 dollars. A request of payment in the amount of 759.0 for 12/6/17 and a request for payment in the amount of 797.00 for 1/29/18 yes you seen that right. First off I have insurance, and my bills even without my insurance is never over 400$ now with that being said, if I get one more fake [censored] bill from this place I will pull my lawyer in on this and I will sue hrrg for much more than what the bill is! I have scammers calling my phone all day everyday since my social# was stolen! I will not be paying this fake [censored] bill!
dr katherine harvey
Dr Harvey is an attending physician at St Marys Hospital in West Palm Beach as well as her other practices. In May of 2018 I had a bad laceration on my hand that needed emergency medical treatment. I went to St Mary ER and was given a tetanus shot and four sutures. I explained at triage that my medical insurance was not set to take effect for two weeks, so I would be paying out of pocket. I was seen by a great R.N. and given the tetanus shot and was given the sutures by an equally amazing P.A. I was discharged and told I would receive a bill in the mail. Two months later I received a call from a company called "HRRG" asking for very personal information over the phone like my full Social Security number, and being terribly rude and unprofessional. Eventually I received a letter from HRRG stating they were trying to collect a $1, 580 medical debt for Dr Katherine Harvey for medical treatment while at St Mary ER. I tried explaining numerous times, to numerous people that I had already received a $1, 600 bill from the Hospital and that I was never treated by a physician. The response I received was "The Doctor works there and tell the nurses and assistants what ti do, so you have to pay her no matter what." I thought there had to be a mistake. I finally got to speak to manager in HRRG, and after I explained what the issue was, she told me she understood and that she would take care of it. Two months later I got a letter in the mail from HRRG. They offered me a settlement of $441. I went online and made a payment. Three days later I received a phone call from HRRG telling me I had to pay them $331 immediately or the debt would return to the original amount, and it would be reported as debt in collections. So basically pay or owe an additional $1, 000 and have your credit damaged...
Dr Harvey is part of a group pf physicians that own HRRG. So if you happen to not have any medical ins, but need emergency medical treatment at an ER; you go in and get treated and then charged an egregious amount of money for EMERGENCY MEDICAL TREATMENT YOU NEED. WITH NO WAY OF KNOWING HOW MUCH THE BILL WILL BE AFTER. With the caveat being that you will owe Dr Harvey, and HRRG will be there to harass you, threaten you and be rude ll while doing it.
Does that sound very ethical? Doesn't to me.
er bill
I have an ER bill that ended in HRRG collections when the creditor, Chase Dennis Emergency Medical Group, did not respond to my health insurance representative's legal letters via fax. The date of the ER service was 12/08/17. At the moment, my health insurance representative at Exclusive Care, has sent 3 legal letters via fax to HRRG. HRRG is not responding to my health insurance company's letters. The number of my health insurance representative is [protected] and would like to be contacted by HRRG to come to a resolution on this issue.

false billing
I keep getting harassing phone calls from HRRG saying I owe $35 for a visit made to an urgent care clinic. I pay a co-pay and I have never received a bill. I'm being told this was the physician's fee and the co-pay was for the clinic. I'd be happy to pay if someone would send me the actual invoice with a physician's name. No one can/will do that. They can't even tell me the name of the Phycician who is billing me.
. I called the clinic and they said they had no idea who would be billing me for services I received.
I think this is a scam.
Hi, That happened to me as well. How did you handle this problem? It was resolved?
received call
I received a call from HRRG but I missed it. I called the number back (not knowing who it was) and a lady answered and said she was with HRRG. I explained that I just missed a call. She asked for my number and couldn't find anyone in the system by that number. I asked what the company does. She would not tell me. She asked for my name. I told her I'm not giving her my name! I just want to find out who this company is... she still wouldn't tell me what they do. I asked her several times who HRRG was and what they do. She literally didn't say anything two of the times. I thought she hung up. I asked if she was still there. She said yes. I asked again who they are and what they do. She then hung up on me. Seems pretty shady if you ask me. I've looked it up and see that it's a medical collections agency. I do not have any outstanding medical bills.
harassment is all they know...
I received a bill from HRRG for a bill of $34 from a Doctor.
I never received the initial bill and until today I have no idea who it is ...
They called me all the time and the first thing they ask me is for my information instead of telling me who they are or what they want. I did not know until I called them and they said that I refuse to give them my info... HELLO! I Am not giving my private information to anybody unless I trust who they are.
I asked them to send me the initial bill and they keep saying they have sent it already. So funny that I never receive the bill but I keep getting their calls AND their letters.
The person I spoke was trying to intimidate me about everything that I said was recorded... so what?
Rude, unprofessional and scam is what it seems to me.
$34.dollars is not a big deal but how come I never get the "invoice" I bet they do that with innocent people that pay without questioning anything...
debt
Received a notice from HRRG that I owed $1, 401.00 on a bill dated 05/07/18. I asked them to validate this bill, which they refused to do. They sent me no proof that HRRG holds my debt, no payment history, and no copy of my original contract. This is a violation of the FDCPA. Furthermore, I submitted proof to them from the hospital (Piedmonet Rockdale) stating that I qualified for an program for a 100% reduction on my accounts. I also sent them a wage inquiry. By law they need to remove the collections listing.
fake bill and harassment
I had HRRG calling me for weeks. Daily. I called Kaiser and did not owe any bill that had not yet been paid. I called the ER for Roger Williams hospital and paid them in full. HRRG continued to call me insisting I owed them $264 for services rendered in the ER. They claimed to do a review of my bill, but yet could not ever send an itemized bill. I payed them over threat to impact my credit score, but now realize I should not have. DO NOT LISTEN TO THESE CON ARTISTS.
amount owed on an outstanding bill that has been paid
Feb. 15, 2015 I went to Memorial Heights Acute Care. Paid $400.00 up front to be seen. Was treated with 1cc epinephrine with lidocaine for an infected spider bite to my ring finger. Received a bill for $1800.00 billing me for a "nerve block."
I submitted bill to Global Client Solutions Debt Consolidation Company. The settled the bill at $928.11 with a 50% discount in July 2015.
I am still be called and letters sent requesting an amount now for $821.00 and with a different account number.
I called Memorial Heights Center and they have no record of me. I have only been to one MH Acute Care Centers, and I have not lived in Houston in over 2 years.
I don't know where to go, or what to do about this bill.
fake bills-already paid for-scam
I have been harassed by this company for weeks, they claim I have outstanding bills from a hospital visit, Larkin Hospital. I have already paid for the bill and I found it to be intriguing: but I didn't want this to affect my credit so I called the hospital. They told me I have no outstanding balance on my account and that they do not work with this collection agency. I am very happy I didn't pay for it, because from what I read already about this HRRG Collections company, they won't refund your payment.
They also insisted I would pay over the phone which I found suspicious.
It's a scam, do not pay what these people ask for!
Can anyone suggest how to stop them from calling. AGAIN...I have no debt with HRRG COLLECTIONS AKA.
"Healthcare Revenue Recovery Group" OR their parent company "Team Health".
These calls will not stop. My phone number was newly assigned to me three years ago. Until now, I have had no problems with these types of calls.
This Company appears to be placing "Spam/Fraud Calls". They are calling & will not stop.
HRRG COLLECTIONS AKA. "Healthcare Revenue Recovery Group" is abusing my phone number with their many weekly calls.
This is compete harassment to me & my family with automated robo scam calls. I have no way to block them from calling. This place is very bad news for me.
Harassing phone calls to my cell phone many times weekly. I don't owe anybody anything. These are automated robo calls. Totally annoying. I cannot stop them!
fake calls bogus collection agency
I have received calls twice now from numbers showing as from the 414 area code in Milwaukee, Wisconsin but each time I call back I get a different horse's [censor] in Florida. They claim to have sent "a notice" about two weeks prior but will not tell me what it is about. They are using the full name and asking to speak to my disabled adult daughter for whom...
Read full review of Healthcare Revenue Recovery Group [HRRG] and 4 commentsharassing for er bill
For over two years I received calls from numerous numbers calling themselves HRRG and that they were collecting a debt from an ER visit in 2015. When asked about details, they said they worked through the ER doctors who were paid through them "a private agency". The first red flag is that they called ME and asked ME to "confirm identity" by telling them my birthdate or my address. The second thing was that they were calling about an unpaid ER bill from April of 2015 (which was true), and that I could go on their website with an assigned account or pay over the phone with a credit card. Being that I was 18 and naive when they first started to call, I didn't do anything about it, thinking that it was 100% paid for since my parents were in charge of paying my bills as I was still in high school and a dependent. Finally two years later and after multiple numbers calling everyday, I got fed up and called the hospital directly to see if there was actually an unpaid ER bill from 2015. There was in fact a $533 bill that was unpaid (the exact amount HRRG was asking for). Since the bill was charged so long ago, the hospital then directed me to their own affiliated collections agency (not HRRG). When sorting the bill out and paying it, I asked the affiliated collections rep. if they were connected to HRRG and she replied no, saying that it is illegal and considered harassment if two collections agencies were calling about the same debt. Mind you, the affiliated collections agency never called me to collect the debt. It was only HRRG calling me, but the fact that they are not even affiliated directly to the hospital gives them no grounds to be collecting the debt from the ER visit. To get into more detail, everytime I was called and that I answered I told the HRRG rep to call or send the bill to my father, who was responsible for the bill in the first place since I was still in high school. On multiple occasions after I told them the situation, they would argue with me about my own age in the time of the ER visit, saying I was 19 and not 18 when in fact I was 18 and still a dependent due to the fact I was still in high school. Another time, a rep threatened that this debt would accumulate and "mess up my credit". Which I don't have as I have not worked yet, I don't use credit cards, and I haven't taken out student LOANs/LOANs. I'm finally now writing up a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau since I received another call from HRRG today, trying to collect the debt that was paid over two weeks ago through the directly-affiliated collections agency. I straight up told the guy that the debt was paid and that I would be calling the cops because this is harassment and he played dumb and hung up. Later, I called again to try and get more information about HRRG, and the lady asked for my birth year to confirm identity, which I refused and then confronted her about the situation. She then said, "Your number is not listed anymore." And I proceeded to yell profanities at her because she would not let me speak.
So moral of the story is that call your hospital/healthcare provider and insurance company directly and pay bills that way instead of these [censor] taking money from you. It's upsetting that they even have such information (bill amount due, birth date, address, etc.) in the first place.
erroneous medical bill
Got a bill from a medical provider, they said that we owed a specific amount... However, my eob clearly stated that the maximum amount the provider could collect was $143.00 less than what they were asking for.
Contacted the billing department and sent them copies of the eob, and asked that they send a corrected bill reflecting the actual amount owed. Four months went by and we got a collections notice from hrrg.
Now, hrrg wants me to sent personal medical information to an unsecured fax number because "they can't be assured that us postal mail will deliver to their p. O. Box".
To protect our credit rating, we have already paid the larger amount and now we have to (Again) prove that we only owe the lower amount and wait for a refund of the over payment.
My money better get here quick!
it isn't that hard to follow up on a fax
They will call everyday to get money, but when your bill has been cleared as it was a mistake in the first place and you over pay and send a check and see from a printed bank statement when and where it was cashed and have to send a fax of the printed copy, they are taking over a week just to confirm that they received a fax. I have to call at the end of the week and hope they actually received it. I have a feeling they will say they never received it and then I will have to re-fax it and wait what another 2 weeks? This is ridiculous.
I am just trying to get my refund of $448.91. I sent a cashiers check issued 3/07/17 and it was cashed 3/20/17 through a fifth third bank. The check number is [protected] made out to HRRG on behalf of Kara Milbrandt.
This place is very bad news. Calling me daily with automated robo messages to contact THEM!
Who is the victim of this? Sadly, its ME. Again I owe NO medical bills to any hospital or healthcare provider.
"HRRG Collections" AKA "Healthcare Recovery Group" & their parent company "Team Health" are harassing innocent people like myself for no reason.
I have read that contacting them for removal of my number will only escalate these " Automated CALLS".
Their is no email listed on their site for "Support/Help".
FYI - BEWARE OF THIS!
Whenever you call any Toll-Free Number, You Cannot Block YOUR Number. *67 prior to the call Will NOT BLOCK YOUR NUMBER ON ANY TOLL-FREE CALL..This is because that company is paying for your call. Most people are not aware of this. Therefore the best way to contact any company is to call their LOCAL/Non Toll-Free Number & *67 before placing the call. Too bad but finding a local number for most companies is nearly impossible.
If I had a way to BLOCK my number, I would call them & get a feel for their attitude before confirming my number. Yes, I realize they have it already, I know...but again, they will probably assume I am their debtor & verbally abuse me (their victim) thus harass me even further. It seems like a no win situation, aside from legal action on my part.
Remember, I OWE NOTHING - THEIR CALLS ARE BOGUS!
medical bill resolution - rude and belligerent associates
I received a phone call today (April 17, 2017) from a gal name Elaine at HRRG Collections. I did not hear who she worked for so I asked for the company name. She said HRRG (Healthcare Recovery Group). She informed me she was a bill collector and this was an attempt to collect a debt. She instructed me that I had an outstanding debt from an emergency room visit on September 10, 2016. She informed me that my insurance company had paid $97.56 and the balance of ~$247 was left unpaid. She told me a bill was sent to me. I had told her I did not recognize the company name, but I had my medical bills in front of me and asked her to wait while I looked through them. She hung up the phone on me.
I then looked on line and discovered there were many complaints against this company and questioned their legitimacy. I decided to call the phone number back [protected], as the Internet indicates the number was a local insurance agency office. When I called back, a man answered (could not understand his name due to his broken English) and greeted me by name, "Hello Mr. Abare". It's obvious they have caller ID and/or their computer system is linked to their phone system. He then thank me for taking his call. I said, "What! I called you", which he then seemed to fumble his words. He then asked for my birth date which I refused to provide with the intent to share I was questioning who they were. He talked over the last part of my reply. He told me he was with HRRG and they had all my info including my social security number which he then asked me to provide/confirm. I told him I was trying to verify if they were a legit vendor which of course he claimed they were. All this was going on and he was still talking over the top of me. I could not get a word in edge wise as he kept talking. He indicated they sent an invoice on March 4, 2017. (I do not have any receipt of an invoice from HRRG). I asked if he could send it to me again. He said he already had sent it referencing the address he sent it to. I said, if you would allow me to talk we might get through this. I then asked a second time for him to send me the invoice. He then hung up the phone on me.
This may be a legitimate bill. I was hospitalized on that date. When I check my insurance claim files I do see an amount matching what he says would be do, but it does not correlate to the emergency room, but rather to a doctor who I do not recognize a name. I am willing to pay my hospital bills. I have already had two medical scams in the past 12 months and am trying to be cautious to not fall victim again. I have an open account with the emergency room at the hospital as my wife an I have been in the ER 3 times in the past 7 months.
If I had a client number, an invoice, something... I would be glad to provide it.
I would think that bill collectors should have a protocol to adhere to when trying to confirm information and how to reply to a consumer that is not trusting of the suspicious nature of the calls. If Elaine had not hung up on me I could have checked (and was checking) the invoice and/or if I had received an invoice from them. FYI... I have nothing from HRRG. It is bill collectors like this that give the industry a bad name.
At this point I want this documented so should they not comply with sending me an invoice I have some reference to why they did not see a timely payment (assuming they are legit). I don't want their lack of customer service to impact my credit rating.
bill collection
I received a letter with the service date of March 6, 2017. A creditor IPC of Nevada had hired them to collect a balance due, but it is not my bill. When I try to sign-on to their website, they did not even have the correct date of birth. The pin number is 1.[protected].505 and the validation notification number is [protected]. I believe this is a scam and would like to receive verification that it is. I would like them to take me off of their mailing address, and verify there is no amount due.
I completely agree! I recieved a call from a woman named Julia from HRRG. She had my name, address and the name of the hospital where I was treated. Although I do see doctors regularly and have been to the ER many times, all my bills come from either the hospital or the attending doctor's office.
Although this Julia requested payment right now, I did not recognize the name of the doctor she gave to me. Its true that different doctors have seen me during a stay in the hospital and it may not be my regular doctor, but again, the bill would come from the hospital or office and at the least be listed on my EOB! Also, there is no way I wouldn't have recognized this doctor's name. Frankly it sounded made up, just a jumble of letters that I'm surprised she could barely pronounce, let alone how quickly she brushed past it! I told her to send me a letter as I was a bit suspicious. She said they had, numerous times and that they were the last step before it goes to collections. What? They were calling on behalf of the doctor she claimed. As they were not willing to send another statement she said I could go online to hrrgcollection.com and pay it there. I agreed. She wanted to know how quickly I could do this, I said it would be the next day. I wanted to check out the site and I'm so glad I didn't hand over my credit card number over the phone.
When I went to the site I was to look for the section marked PIN Number and input an odd number 1.314.40426.503. There is no such section for a PIN number and that's when I went to Safari and came across this website.
As far as I can see this place is not legitimate. She mentioned that if I had any problems with the site I could call her back. What was interesting to me was that the phone number on my cell phone's ID was an 800 number. But...if I had any problems, I could call her directly at a phone number in my local area code. Someone explain to me how that works!
Be they mean tempered, sweet (as Julia was) or rushing you through the conversation until you're so discombobulated (yes, she did that too) you're ready to hand over your checking account, routing number, charge card or Flexible Spending number-Stop, take a deep breath and conclude you may be just be getting scammed.
calls stating I must call them about unspecified unpaid pill
I have no unpaid medical bills. I have resources to pay all legitimate bills. No medical service provider has sent me a bill that has not been paid already. I have had no hospital medical services in decades. They provide no details about a bill in anyone's name for any amount. No bills received from them. Internet has many complaints from citizens they have called in error, without the information needed to collect alleged debts. They need to be sanctioned for such behavior.
unfair billing and lack of communication
mY DAD a Vietnam vet and 84 years old paid Walton Co. hospital his co-pay for a 9/1/2015 Emerg. room visit. He was there less than an hour and the bills were exorbitant. Pat Peale [protected], [protected] Case number for MedicareR201609750420
We found out that the hospital had identified him as a hospice patient and he was not. Therefor it took me almost a year to fix the problem.
I was able to get a letter from Medicare stating the problem and that it was fixed as of 5/26/16 and i notified with copies of my Medicare letter to HRRG.
They wait until Dec. of 2016 and threaten to garnish my dad's account for over six hundred dollars.
It is their fault if they did not get money because they did not resubmit the bill before a year was up. And i have already paid ASC which i thought was yet another bill and now find out it is also HRRG.
So if they do send garnishment to the bank I will sue them.
Penny Stephens
debt collections
HRRG collected almost $3000 from me for what they said was an outstanding bill. They mailed me a letter asking for payment, then called to say they were going to report me to the credit bureau if I didn't pay the bill immediately. I was told by my insurance company that they were paying the bill and I shouldn't pay. I told HRRG this and they still said they would report me to the credit bureau that day if I didn't pay immediately. They even offered me a 20% discount if I paid that day. I was nervous and upset to have my credit affected by this so I paid the bill.
I found out after that, that my insurance company did in fact pay the bill and most of it had already been paid before HRRG called me, threatened my credit and I paid it. I am now trying to get my money back from HRRG and they won't refund my money.
I have spoken to my insurance company and the doctor's office that provided the service and both have proof of payment. HRRG refuses to contact either company and says they have no way to know that the bills were paid by insurance. They are saying they are a call center and their phones can't dial out! This is the worst customer service but even more importantly they took almost $3000 from me almost a month ago and refuse to return my money.
So I conferenced called them with the provider that hired them to collect the money. And now they are saying it will take another 45 days to process. Meaning they kept my money for three months. And that is assuming I get it back within that time frame.
DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE MONEY
ignorance and abusive representative
I am the guardian of the individual who owed a debt (my brother), and I have been his guardian for a very long time. When I told the lady that she would not even speak about the situation with me, without faxed proof of guardianship. This I expected, I told them I wanted to get this settled. 'But of course I was interupted'; so in my next explanation I expected to tell her I wanted her to understand that I could get my brother to pay the bill and he could be easy to dealt with, but still just as easily abused and I wasn't going to allow them to do that to him. 'But I was interrupted again'; and her comment was to say (as if she was the doctor who diagnosed him) then if he can pay he doesn't need a guardian. But upon this ignorant statement I began to call her a (*%#$@) multiple times. When I agreed to be polite I told her to not interrupt me" she refused and I continued to call her names. Of course she hung up on me and when I called back they wouldn't pick up any of the returned calls from that number... all the way till closing hours. Let me say two words out of my mouth and I would have had him pay that night online. But sense you acted like bullying scoundrels and decided to be ignorant about even listening to me about this and he will never pay... ha...ha ... ha I am guardian and you cant touch my credit cause you don't have guardian papers...and when you touch his it will roll off in 7 years where I will still give him money to pay off his own bills ... however for $34.25 ... you can $uck it! lol
