I am writing to file a complaint against Holiday Inn for their deceptive and misleading timeshare practices. My husband and I were lured in by the promises of a relaxing and rejuvenating vacation experience, only to be left with a burden that is taking a toll on our livelihoods.
We were misled by the sales representatives, who promised us owner pricing for all future hotel stays and guaranteed the ability to bank time and utilize it for other vacations, such as cruises. However, when we attempted to research how to do so, we were told that we needed to join a new membership to access these promised services. The ownership of the timeshare has changed hands multiple times, causing customer service to rapidly decline. The only remaining amenities are the spas, and even those have been reduced from what was initially promised, with the elimination of mud baths and day spa treatments. The financial burden of this timeshare has become an unbearable weight, particularly as I am entering a life of early retirement due to disabilities and ailments. We relied on the health benefits that were promised to us, and now we are left with no use for this timeshare.
It is unacceptable that Holiday Inn has engaged in such deceitful practices. We demand that they take responsibility for their actions and provide us with a full refund for the misleading timeshare contract and false promises. We urge the Complaints Board to take action on our behalf and hold Holiday Inn accountable for their unethical behavior.
