We have not had a very good experience with Orange Lake/ Holiday Inn at all. We have attempted for a few years to have them cancel our timeshare ownership. This experience has been nothing but one disappointment after another. We are not really sure what to do at this point. We feel that we have been taken by this company and we want nothing more than to be free of the contract. We were offered the standard 4 days 3 nights at the resort in exchange for attending a presentation. We were told it was about an hour or so long, 5 hours later we had made the purchase. We were told what a good investment this was, our family would have it for a long time. We could go anywhere they had property, including RCI. Only to find that when we tried to book something it was not available. Our salesman told us about all the places he had been and all the places he could take his family. We denied the offer but the salesman kept pushing. Eventually we gave in and signed the contract just to get out of the horrible situation. Now we are stuck with a very expensive bill that we can’t benefit from. Our attempts to get help from Orange Lake/Holiday Inn have been unsuccessful. They refuse to take responsibility and help us out of this mess.
Desired outcome: Cancel the timeshare and let us out.
