If you're considering Choice Home Warranty, don't do it.
I have had 2 claims that I have had to file over the last 2 months.
The first claim was an electrical issue; they emailed us that the technician would be out between 7 am and 11 am. We waited, and no one showed up. I called the company that was supposed to come out, and they said that they don't work with Choice Home Warranty anymore because they are too hard and difficult to work with. I called Choice Home Warranty, and they said they would escalate the issue and get someone out within 24 to 48 hours. I received another email from a different company, and I called them right away. The technician asked what my address was, and I told him. He was over 2 and a half hours away and could not justify going that far for what they were paying him. I called Choice Home Warranty again; this time, they told me that they had a difficult time finding a technician and that if I found one, then they would credit me back, but I found out that the technician has to follow specific guidelines and if they don't, your stick with the bill. It finally took them three and a half weeks to get a technician to my home and at least me calling them over 6 times.
My second claim has not been completed as of today. I have a plumbing issue, for which I opened a claim on 11/30/24 over their automated phone system. On 12/3/2024, I called Choice Home Warranty to check on my claim. They could see it in their system, but nothing had been done with it; they escalated and said it would be 24 to 48 hours before they got a plumber out there. On 12/6/24 called Choice Home Warranty again because I had not received an email confirming a plumber was coming out. They told me that they had not found anyone yet and that I could. I stopped them right there and told them that is what I was paying them to do and to get it done. They said that it would take 24 to 48 hours; I told them that if I didn't receive an email on Monday, I was calling them back. No email on 12/9/24, called them AGAIN, and they told me that they had a difficult time finding a plumber and that if I found one, then they would credit me back. I told them that is what I pay you to do and to get it done now. they said AGAIN that it would take 24 to 48 hours to get a plumber out there. I received an email on 12/11/24, and I immediately called the phone number on the email. The plumber said that he used to work with Choice Home Warranty, but he can't trust them, he's done 5 or 6 jobs for them and has only gotten paid for two. He said they were a scam, and they rip off the homeowner and the companies that they hire; you need to get away from Choice Home Warranty. I called Choice Home Warranty and told them all the information from both claims, and they said sorry for how long this has taken. We had escalated the issues, and we would get someone out there within 24 to 48 hours. I hung up PISSED as HELL!
No offers to compensate me for the pain and inconvenience this has caused my family.
Dealing with them has been a NIGHTMARE. The customer service is unhelpful, repeating the same canned responses without addressing your concerns. They prioritize you doing the work for them over fulfilling their promises. Save yourself the frustration and wasted money—look elsewhere for a home warranty provider.
Choice Home Warranty is a scam. Avoid at all costs!

I would not waste my time and money with Choice Home Warranty. Their incompetence and refusal to accept certain basic claims processing are absolutely appalling. If you want to charge back to them and prevent them from offering their unethical services again then feel free to book an appointment with your state's insurance. You can also do a dispute through your payment means as you prepaid for this service, and then you state that they did not provide the contracted tasks. Try to look for a better home warranty provider—there’s no point in using Choice Home Warranty.
