Great company for incentives
David, who did my house inspection for new insulation was knowledgeable and helped in every way possible for keeping my home warm. Received replacement of all lights and new insulation. The workers Vincent, Jamal and Dahvam were professional, knowledgeable and so kind... they even noticed a few minor things that they fixed at my home as they were doing insulation. Would highly recommend this company for home fixer uppers.

Very considerate assessment of my house, respectful representative.I told him of my chemical sensitivities and he researched the *** levels on materials to be used so I can come to a realistic decision about what to do.Also, the cost is very reasonable and makes it possible to consider the work required.
Reviewer was on time, gave consideration to COVID policy and was well informed and professional. He went through the entire house, made CO2 measurements and offered suggestions on future energy saving replacements.
The workers treated us with respect and actually did more than what was required of them. Highly recommend HomeWorks!
Excellent service, professional work, pleasant staff. Left our home clean and well cared for. Great experience.

Home Works Energy rep, who showed up to give evaluation for the Mass Save project, was totally conversant with all of our home systems, (AC, *** plumbing, water heater, insulation, etc.) and did a thorough review of how we can save on heat and cooling with the forward thinking of lo arbon footprint with the savings. He also brought a number of free energy saving light bulbs and two energy saving power strips free. Well worth making a call to Mass Save.

Home Works is terrific! Purchased a couple of split heating/cooling systems. From start to finish awesome. Have had it going on second year with yearly maintenance which were administered yesterday! Wonderful people to work with. Answered all our questions and concerns. Cant go wrong! Highly recommend it!
Very knowledgeable and focused with information, ability to provide areas of improvement.
We engaged Homework's Energy to install insulation, etc. The photos show how they sealed the ductwork in the basement. Very sloppily done. When I asked them about it they said they could not do anything to clean up the excess because this the way we always do it. I said really? Imagine if I or anyone else had a finished ceiling and this was done?Very disappointed and would not recommend their services. Also, the application of the spray foam insulation was sloppy as well with some being sprayed on a curtain. The actual attic insulation install was ok but nobody sees it.
The insulation crew was awesome to deal with and went the extra distance to make sure everything was done the correct way and extremely fast
I finally said yes to having the assessment done after numerous times blowing these people off
I finally said yes to having the assessment done after numerous times blowing these people off. Glad I smartened up! The technician from Homeworks, ***, was courteous, professional and knew his stuff! Long story short, I ended up signing up for a significantly discounted insulation job that will no doubt save me $$ on gas bills as well as add value to my home. If you were like me, continually ignoring these guys, I would give them a shot! I believe you will be pleasantly surprised!

Very Professional went thru all the possible savings for me.Have an AC assessment with them today
was great! Very friendly, courteous and informational. Gave me a lot of information on how to lower the utility bills. Everyone should do this free assessment it was well worth it!
Recently HomeWorks completed work aligned with the MassSave program. My home is 16 years old. They put additional insulation in the attic and an unfinished part of my basement. Not only was it inexpensive due to the MassSave program, but they also put in a significant amount of insulation. They spent hours sealing everything before even putting in the insulation and did a meticulous job on top of that and cleaning up after themselves.
Excellent crew
Excellent crew. Approached the insulation job in our oddly built house as creative problem solvers. Installed more than we expected. Lovely young men, considerate, calm. They did an excellent job of cleaning up, though be warned that having insulation blown in is bound to leave some residue to clean up and then restore the last details of order. We'd put off having to undergo the mess of blowing insulation for years. We think the house feels much more even after the job. Sorry we delayed.

Performed a virtual home energy audit for MassSave. Efficient and professional. *** shared new information to prepare me for upcoming direction of home energy use.
This was the third home assessment we have had since the Mass Save program started. From each assessment we have made improvements to our home and become more efficient. This latest review by HomeWorks was the most thorough and beneficial for the long term of our home. A real professional job.Thanks.
So glad I utilized this service and wished I had done it years ago. The service techs were very courteous and explained everything in detail. I now lower my thermostats and the rooms feel warmer. I know I am saving a lot in heating oil. And, the price makes it a no brainer. Request a free energy assessment from them. You have nothing to lose.
Every MA homeowner should do this. It costs nothing and most often saves you money!
Worst company ever to deal with
Worst company ever to deal with. In decades of owning a home, I've never had the problems I had with this company. They had to come 4 times to complete the work, the first crew didn't do 1/2 the job and created such a mess, the apartment upstairs had to be professionally cleaned. There was a lot of debris in the basement. I had to keep calling them to get things done and often no one got back to me. Communicate was awful. Ultimately the work was good but the cost enormous. They are not the only *** Please use another.

Home Works Energy was recommended to us by friends shortly after we bought a home on Cape Cod
Home Works Energy was recommended to us by friends shortly after we bought a home on Cape Cod. We bought an older home and thought it would be a good idea to see what would help to save energy costs during the winter and summer. The representative that came to our home was very courteous and informative. He looked through the house and then showed us what should be done. Everything was explained in detail and all financial information was written out in detail so we knew what we were paying for and credits that were available. I would definitely recommend HomeWorks for anyone interested is saving energy costs.
HomeWorks Energy provided a detailed energy efficiency report for our home
HomeWorks Energy provided a detailed energy efficiency report for our home. They inspected the heating system, windows, insulation status, and several areas of potential heat loss. The tech was very knowledgeable and professional. He provided a detailed report about our energy efficiency including recommendations for improvement. Most services, including the initial inspection were free, and reimbursed by our electrical provider. HomeWorks also provides services to update our home to make it more efficient. I recommend HomeWorks. Start by contacting your utility company to see if they cover the cost of the inspection.

The HomeWorks Energy Specialist who provided our Mass Save Energy Audit was very knowledgeable and highly professional
The HomeWorks Energy Specialist who provided our Mass Save Energy Audit was very knowledgeable and highly professional. He was an excellent listener and made sure to address each of our home energy related concerns. He provided outstanding customer service.Prior to the *** audit of our home, I contacted HomeWorks Energy via the chat feature on its website. I had general questions about the Mass Save Energy audit. I was very impressed by the ease in communicating via this chat feature and equally impressed (once again) by the excellent customer service that *** provided. Highly recommend.

Excellent service, the sales representative was very helpful and thorough
Excellent service, the sales representative was very helpful and thorough. He addressed all of my needs and then some. The crew that did the work were professional, respectful and thorough, explaining ever detail that they did. Also, they were trustworthy. The representatives that I spoke with over the telephone were professional and helpful.I am very pleased with the whole experience. Since the insulation was done, I have noticed a huge difference with the amount of oil that I would have used prior to the insulation. The heat is so well contained that I am able to turn it off at night. I am so happy and grateful. I have recommended HomeWorks Energy to my family and friends.Thank you so much

The crew from HomeWorks Energy showed up on time and explained what they were going to do
The crew from HomeWorks Energy showed up on time and explained what they were going to do. They were there for two days on my two family. They worked quickly and very efficiently. They cleaned up any dirt, dust or materials they worked with. *** the *** even wiped any fingerprints or smudges from the vinyl siding they moved to install insulation. They also installed extra insulation board on outside doors leading to the basement. They installed a nice whirly gig vent on the roof, and vented a range hood vent to the outside, that I was unaware of in the attic. I know the place will be much warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. I would highly recommend HomeWorks to anyone needing insulation done.

We called National Grid and they referred us to a company to schedule a home energy audit
We called National Grid and they referred us to a company to schedule a home energy audit. The gentleman who came to our house was very informative and knew exactly what to check. He pointed out a couple areas where insulation was needed in the basement. He gave us energy saving lightbulbs and a new thermostat. Next, we scheduled an appointment with HomeWorks Energy. They came out and went right to work. They installed the extra insulation in the basement and performed a test at the front door to see how tight the house is and performed a second one when they were finished. None of this cost us money except for a co-pay less than $20. They cleaned up after themselves and were very pleasant, answering all our questions. We are very pleased with this company and grateful for their time and energy. They are professional as well. We highly recommend them.
We called HomeWorks to get an inspection because we felt our heating bills were too high
We called HomeWorks to get an inspection because we felt our heating bills were too high. We got an appointment a week later and the person came and explained all the areas he saw that were in need of better insulation. He gave clear explanations of the work expected, showed us pictures of what to expect and gave us a detailed invoice. We signed up for the work and the crew came a week later. They were very professional, did their best no to disrupt our daily lives and even detailed the work deviation that was required once they started working on the house. It took them two full days to complete the work, out of 1 day that was initially estimated. The crew was polite, diligent and arrived both days on time.Waiting to get the next month's ***, but we are sure the improvements will help to lower the costs. Totally recommended to anyone who is considering improving their house insulation or even if the are curious to know what can be improved already.

The service is really poor
The service is really poor. Lack of communication...it takes a miracle for someone to actually return a phone call. I regret doing business with this company. Once they take your payment, you will not hear from them. Spending over $10,000 for a new HVAC system, in less than 6 months the system won't work properly and when they finally send a tech, the tech basically said that there is nothing he can do to get my system to work properly... while I'm making monthly payments for something that is not working as expected. When they installed the system, they removed my old system to install the new one, the install crew left without telling me anything. After 3 days in the cold, I had to bring my family to a hotel. I have small kids and sick people who can't take the cold. I had to make multiple phone calls to HomeWorks just to have them come to finish the installation. Fast Forward: During the heatwave (July ) I had to go out and purchase window AC units... while I pay for a brand new HVAC. Don't do it.

Bad Salesmanship!
Bad Salesmanship! The salesperson who came to our house did not warn us of the incredible amount of dust we would have during the process. He did not tell us of the many giant wholes in our walls. We have plaster walls. We were told small holes would be placed at the top of our walls. My daughter has lung disease. The day after she was coughing and my dog vomited. They should have told us to cover everything with plastic. The workers were wearing respirator masks! They should have told us to plan for a whole day away from our house and to get the animals out. We had no where to go while they were doing the job. We crowded onto a small porch while it rained outside. Everything had dust on it. I had to take my children out to dinner. We could not use the kitchen. My husband almost fell down the stairs because of slipping on dust. We were not warned. The job was supposed to be done at 1pm and it took until the next day to finish. They were short on staff. The workers were very pleasant and did their best. We had to ask them to leave so we could put our children to sleep. We asked them to come back the next day. The job was done correctly but we were not warned of the mess we would have to clean up ourselves nor the amount of dust in our house. Everything covered in dust. Books, T.V., clothing, dressers etc. Every wall will have to be washed down. Every floor washed down. Counters, coffee pots, kitchen ***. My animals are covered in dust. I would not have done this job again if it was free!

In September , I hired a company for a home energy assessment
In September , I hired a company to perform a home energy assessment. They provided LED bulbs, an energy audit, insulated my attic, and added cellulose to the exterior walls. The crews were cordial but seemed rushed and didn't communicate well. They removed insulation from around my chimney and above recessed lights, causing drafts and heat loss. I had to spend time and money to re-insulate. The wall insulation team broke cedar shingles and didn't properly reinstall them, despite my concerns. Management fixed the shingles and I repainted them. They also accidentally cut an electrical wire, which they paid to repair. While the company tried to address my complaints, my home is now draftier. The LED bulbs they provided failed within a year, suggesting low quality. I advise getting independent energy audits and hiring a knowledgeable insulation contractor who understands building codes and communicates effectively. Homeowners should buy high-quality bulbs themselves. I wouldn't recommend this company.

They keep sending mailings to my house. I have repeatedly asked them online and on the phone to stop. They say they will send it along, but I don't know what that means. The online guy says he will forward it to the appropriate person, but that doesn't work. I just want all mailings to STOP.
HomeWorks Energy installed insulation and a bathroom fan vent on the roof
HomeWorks Energy installed insulation and a bathroom fan vent on the roof. In the process of installing the roof vent they hit my sofit with their ladder and dislocated it. They did send out a field inspector to survey the damage and he said they would repair it. I have made several calls to the company since and they never return my calls.

On May, Homeworks Energy came to provide insulation to my home under the MassSave program. The work was roughly )***, and was scheduled for 3 days. The two men claimed they finished in 2 days because an additional truck showed up to help complete the job. They had my 17 yr old son sign off on the work before I could inspect what was done. They did not complete the work and additionally, they broke a SunTunnel in mg attic and did not mention it.I have emailed and called several times over the last 2 weeks and they have not responded to me.
We had HomeWorks Energy install some energy-saving insulation in our home on April 25 April 27. While the contractors were here they broke a ceiling fan in the bathroom while working in the attic and gouged and scratched new hardwood floors by dragging a hose pipe along with no protection underneath. The contractors stated they would take care of these issues. However, after my numerous phone calls nothing is happening. The voice messages I leave are not returned. We had the inspector employed by the contractor (Adobe Energy Management) come out and assess the situation and he said he would be filing a report. We asked numerous times to see the report and we have received nothing. He advised us to replace the ceiling fan ourselves and get an estimate for the hardwood floors and submit everything for reimbursement. We asked for something in writing that we would be reimbursed and he said someone would call us from HomeWorks Energy and we have heard nothing. SEE ATTACHMENT

Between the dates of April *** I had Homeworks install insulation in my house and attic
Between the dates of April *** I had Homeworks install insulation in my house and attic. They quoted me a price of $1600 for the total job and paid them through a heat loan process. Once the work began I told them that they did not have to install the insulation in my attic. The rep then told me that since I changed my mind on the attic portion, I will then a refund of apprx. $500. Since they were paid already through a HeatLoan, they said they will cut me a check for the difference. I was happy with that.No check as of yet. I have called them over and over and email as well. They keep telling me that someone will call me to resolve but no one ever does. The work done was fine, I just want back the portion that was for the attic area.

Homeworks Energy was hired and paid to install insulation at my mothers house. The original agreement stated that a permit would be pulled for this work however when the contractors arrived they did not show proof of permit. Upon arrival the contractors mentioned that they needed to check our water heater for carbon monoxide leakage. They then moved on and proceeded to install insulation throughout parts of the house. When they had completed their work, the receipt of the work showed that they did not pull the permit as required. We also noticed that our water heater was leaking and we did not have running hot water. The water heater is no longer working. Homeworks Energy is attempting to claim that they are not responsible for the damage. The water heater was functioning properly prior to their arrival and no leak was evident when I directed them to where our heating and plumbing system were located.Date of work: 5/11 Amount Paid: $1,077.11

Through National Grid i requested a home assessment for free insulation, it was done and the gas boiler didn't pass inspection so i was told get the boiler fixed which i did at a cost of $300.00 and up to $250.00at was to be refunded. This process started in JUNE and after speaking to and emailing several employees of Home Works Energy (*** ans ***) and sending required forms several times i finally got a insulation appointment of Mar 26 2021. On Mar 23 I recieved a call that the installation was cancelled because i didn't meet the qualifications after being repeatedly guaranteed I was grand fathered in for 100% free insulation and refund for boiler repair of up to $250.00 I feel that National Grid's contractor Homeworksenergy failed to complete their promised insulation installation and repair refund when they keep telling me I was all set for both for over 10 months
We contracted with HomeWorks energy through *** to do insulation work in our home
We contracted with HomeWorks energy through *** to do insulation work in our home. They contacted us from a previous home assessment (2017) and offered to pay 100% of the project. We agreed to move forward with a virtual inspection in July which determined the spaces that were eligible and then an in person inspection in August which was to confirm that we met all of the requirements (check heat and hot water systems, inspect walls and attic spaces, etc). This inspection (in August) determined that our heat was not working (we proactively shut down our system every summer) so my husband turned the heat on and we scheduled another in person inspection to confirm it was working properly. We were told everything was all set and the work was scheduled for February . When they showed up, they told us the hot water heater was not drafted properly and they were not able to do the job as promised? I have since called twice with no resolution and no call back.

I submitted a Mass Save rebate application after NETR installed an air conditioner system into my home on June 1. The rebate was very significant (over $3500) and I applied to Mass Save for the rebate on 6/4. The rebate was approved. After waiting about a month (July 12), I did not receive the rebate and received the following mail message in response to my email to Mass Save asking about the status of my rebate on July 13: Good Afternoon, Rebate Reference # *** Amount: $ *** This rebate is approved. We apologize for the delay in your rebate payment. The Mass Save program is conducting an overall quality assurance and quality control inspection. Once this has been completed by the Mass Save program administrators, your rebate check will be released immediately. At this moment, we do not have a timeframe available. You may be contacted by your utility provider directly regarding this delay if it continues. After another month, I still have no rebate!

*** was offering free home insulation to homeowners
was offering free home insulation to homeowners. Sep '20 - a representative from HomeWorks Energy ("HWE") - came to inspect my property to see if I qualified &determine the project scope. Their representative told me that I had no insulation in my walls, that I had no insulation in my basement crawl space, and that I had vermiculite in the attic. They said to get insulation installed in the attic I would need to have the vermiculite removed. At an expense of $13,600, I paid vermiculite abatement. After waiting 7 months the installer said they were unable to start the project because I had knob and tube wiring - which I already knew was no longer active. He told me I needed an electrician to come out right then to inspect. This was not mentioned when HWE first visited. The installer told me HWE would reimburse. I spent $454, they sent me a check for $150. The next day I was told I had vermiculite in my walls and crawl space and they couldn't do any work in those spaces.

A Homeworks Energy rep came to my house on 6/23 to provide an HVAC assessment for the third unit of my house - I wanted to install a 3-zone mini split system and rewire a thermostat. They drafted up a contract for the mini split installation in addition to rewiring one of my thermostats for around ($15,000). I proceeded to obtain a Mass Save Heat Loan and was approved for $14,800 at the end of July. Once I received the loan, I attempt to schedule an installation day but there is poor communication by Homeworks account managers but finally get a install date scheduled on 8/13. On 8/13 they inform me they have to push it back to 8/16 and on 8/16 they tell me they forgot to rent the lift required for installation. We push back installation until 8/31 and on 8/31 they finish half the job and then let me know that the lift they rented isn't large enough. They leave my house with baseball size holes on the exterior walls and open tubing hanging outside of my house. 9/8 still not done.

I hired Home Works Heating & Cooling for a tune-up of two gas furnaces in my home
I hired Home Works Heating & Cooling for a tune-up of two gas furnaces in my home. The technician completed the work on October 30th, and I paid for both services that day. Later, I discovered a significant mistake with one furnace. After reporting the issue and sending pictures, the company dispatched a local technician to inspect and fix the problem. He quickly identified and corrected another issue but did not verify the initial tune-ups. Concerned about the quality of the work, I requested a different technician to reassess the tune-ups. The manager agreed to consider my request. Since then, I've noticed more problems without even opening the furnaces. Despite sending emails and leaving messages, I've received no response from the manager or the company. This unsatisfactory service occurred on October 30th.
