Went to buy a car at the advertised / listed price with a loan from our bank
Went to buy a car at the advertised / listed price with a loan from our bank. Dealership would not take our loan and said we had to finance through them. They said we could get around it by financing through them for 3 months and then refinance through our bank... this is a very questionable business practice and has dishonesty written all over it.
Had our 3yo honda in for service. Supposedly checked 27 items, including battery. Battery died 1.5 days later in the middle of nowhere AK. System warnings came on for anti lock brakes, hi beams, etc. Replaced battery & got to Des Moines Honda. Air filter was filthy, brake fluid needed to be replaced & oil needed to be changed. Returned to Ft. Myers, dealer agreed on price to purchase or Honda & then renigged next day.
Very unprofessional and disrespectful...They made me drive 300 miles for nothing. I called just before taking the road to ask if the car I wanted was ready and they said yes. I left work early, called the bank and had all the paperwork ready. After I arrived, I asked to talk to Raphael because I had an appointment with him. They said he is busy and they said I can talk to Chad instead. They only thing Chad has to say was " We sold it". Go somewhere else where they respect their customers.

Worst experience with this "new" dealer. Its is a completely different dealer that what it was before . I bout three cars before in this dealer but now with the purchase of my #4 I feel like dealing with crooks. I liked my my Accord but I will never recommend somebody to go to this dealer. I have spend two weeks calling Michael S. one of the Finance Managers but never return my phone calls , same experience with the Finance Director.Public be aware please , for many reasons this business is never going to be accredited.

The only reason I'm giving this dealership even one star is that my salesperson, Maytee Y., was very honest and tried very hard to make up for the terrible business practices forced on the sales staff by General Manager Ernie Sims. I forget the sale manager's name, but he ultimately was unwilling to even consider violating Mr. S' rules. Mr. S. himself was not at the dealership that evening, or I certainly would have wanted to discuss this with him face to face..
The advertised price for the CR-V I came to see was attractive enough for me to drive 2 hours from St. Pete to Ft. Myers. The trouble started when the sales estimation sheet came out with the Dealer Prep Fee of $999! and the MANDATORY, NON-NEGOTIABLE window tint and nitrogen-filled tire fee of $399! printed right on the page. The price of the vehicle was good enough that I'd swallow the ridiculous dealer prep fee, especially since Maytee told me and the contract later stated (as required by Florida law) that it included profit.
I did buy the car because it was in great condition and exactly what I was looking for, but I left the dealership feeling abused by the mandatory window tint and tire nitrogen, which although treated as a fee on the estimation sheet magically became a dealer installed option on the buyer's order form. Where I'm from, an option is something that is NOT mandatory and non-negotiable. Maybe this is legal, but it seems really sketchy to me.
First of all, I didn't want window tint and resented having it rammed down my throat. But even worse, I was forced to pay for nitrogen-filled tires, which I know as a mechanical engineer and lifelong "car guy" is of exactly ZERO practical value on a passenger car. THis is not just the opinion of an experienced engineer, but is backed up by Consumer Reports and NHTSA testing. They put special "N2" caps on the valve stems, which I took off because they were a constant reminder of the fact that I had been scammed.
But it didn't have to be this way. The advertised price was so good that I'd probably still have driven the 2 hours if it were $400 higher and would have felt fine leaving the dealership having paid exactly the same amount, if a little miffed at the high dealer prep. And that would have been without window tint and with just regular old air in the tires. Instead, I'm spending my time writing this review so that hopefully others can avoid that "just been scammed" feeling.
This business has a cancer running through it; it begins at the top and works its way down to the least senior salesperson. We had begun with emails, which were ignored once we started to ask for a description of their fees which amounted to nearly $2500 above the asking price of the car. Also, their tax computation was not making sense, which I wanted clarification on. They had multiple fees with no description. Howard A. is the one we started with, then after being ignored tried to work with another, Chris J. Again, we were ignored.
We were trying to help work out the financial details remotely (we live out of state), as our recently widowed mother did not have the ability to understand the numbers, and we wanted a fixed, known number that she could go in with to pay. Their goal was to cut us out of the negotiation, and manipulate the little old lady. Further proof of this claim:
With the original written quote from them (the one with all the thousands in fees they never explained) the little old lady went in to pay the exact amount documented in the written quote. This was because she needed to get the car soon. Did I mention the quote was written?
Lo and behold, Howard increased the price on her! Now that he had her sitting there, she was exactly where he wanted her. Leave her there for two hours, where they wear you down, and add extra hundreds of dollars from their earlier WRITTEN QUOTE. She calls us in a panic, as we are still out of state. Our advice to her was run out the door and never go back; she was too exhausted to have to begin the whole process over again, so in accordance with Howard's manipulative plan she agreed to the price increase.
It gets better.
It comes time to pay, so now she heads up to the finance guy. More delays, more 'wearing you out' sitting around waiting. She says she is going to pay the full amount with check. This guy comes in complaining about how many fraudulent checks they have had recently, so their new policy is to only accept checks up to the $10k limit. However, they were willing to "help" her by financing the balance, of course for a small additional fee. But, according to this finance guy, that extra fee should not bother her because "she is such a goodhearted person", so giving the dealer a little bit of extra money should be reasonable.
She calls us again in a panic. Giving up on the idea of "run and never come back", we tell her to put the balance on her credit card instead, but under no circumstances should she finance with them.
This makes Mr. Finance very angry, and his demeanor changes to that of a very grumpy and unfriendly person. He stomps away.
Again, the poor old widow sits there getting her time wasted.
Eventually, Howard comes back asking "what is the problem?" She tells him, and he goes back to Mr. Finance to supposedly make it all right. They finally agree to accept her check in full. Funny how their policy changed from $10k check limit to full amount when she had a credit card waiting nearby...
It is truly incomprehensible to me how a business like this continues to practice in the most sleazy and manipulative manner. Look them up in any review forum and the same complaints occur over and over again. Then you see the standard copy/paste reply from Michelle W, Customer Relations Specialist, for each complaint. She is part of the problem - at no point do these complaints actually get addressed by the business; they repeat over and over again !
I would not be surprised that Howard gets a bonus for this type of behavior, because with this business the dollar is all that matters. If they actually cared in the least, they would fire these salespeople and start over with honest practices. But when you watch the trend over years, it is clear nothing will ever change at this place.
they give you a price and then they don't give you that price ! they have to many running sale people and they can't talk about price and they make you wait for long time in showroom waiting for there manager to come back with a price for car ! i brought from honda of fort myers before they was take over ! they should go back to there old ways ! they loss my buissness , if you send in a bad comment then they call you and said it never happen
Bottom feeders that wont stop trying to solicit sales from my dead father in law
Bottom feeders that wont stop trying to solicit sales from my dead father in law. I have called and asked for a year for MY cell phone number to be removed from their data base with no results. The manager was rude, combative, disrespectful and hung up on me. There is no professionalism. It is beyond me how when someone passes away, you return a vehicle to the dealership, they proceed to put your number into the database for contact to a dead man.

Please read all these reviews
Please read all these reviews. This company is bad news. I have gone there twice, both times with appointments, to check out cars advertised at very compelling prices only to learn once I arrived "that car has been sold". The second time I specifically stated that I wasn't coming in unless the actual vehicle was there. This was in a phone conversation they initiated at 8 p.m. the evening before, which was last night. When I arrived at 12 noon today, Sunday, the experience was just like the first one a month ago, sorry that car has been sold. THEY ARE SCAMMERS.
Horrible experience!
Horrible experience! After the packed my loan by $10k which I cannot afford I would never get approved for that amount, the made mistakes between who finance me and who was holding the title the financial director Jacob got this fixed but barely answers your calls Trainer finally sent sent me a cancellation for all the added insurance I didn't want had contact Rebecca Sedney does not respond! Poor customer service I also feel like I'm dealing with crooks. It's been since July 15,2020 and guess what still nothing! And they won't respond looking for the one era information!
all I can say is trust nothing, trust no one form this facility
all I can say is trust nothing, trust no one form this facility. Read the other reviews. You will see the same shady practices again and again. They advertise super aggressive prices but beware. They like to pack in extended warranties without disclosing the costs. they will tell you other sources of financing are not accepted, debatable. they will say you can not pay off your auto loan for 90 days eluding to a penalty. Calling the finance company, they stated there is no penalty and pay off can be made anytime. the finance department will sell you an extended warranty. Asking about the cost, they will state xx dollars a month. Press them for the actual cost. We were told $1200.00. All signature happen on a big screen desk pc. They move fast so pay attention. Looking over the signed documents later that night we discovered it was $4800.00. Confronting the discrepancy they did cancel and re write the contracts. We were told the original Hyundai warranty was NOT transferable. In fact we were told "Hyundai is unique" in not letting second buyers assume the warranty. Calling Hyundai, they confirmed the warranty was transferable. Would not go back to them again.

they sold me a mess up car and the price was less than $9000 but they charge the bank $18000 last month I went to buy a car at the fort Myers
they sold me a mess up car and the price was less than $9000 but they charge the bank $18000 last month I went to buy a car at the fort Myers Honda, they showed only one car a Nissan Sentra when I asked if I can see another car they told me that was the only car the bank qualified me for. I bought the car because my other car recently broke down and I needed a car to go to work, when I started driving the car I noticed that the car takes time to accelerate and making some noise I went back to the dealership to see if they can switch to another car they told me that I would pay $1000 down because the car I wanted was more expensive than the one they gave me. The car price was under $9000 but they charged the bank $18000, when I text the finance guy to ask why they charged the charged the bank almost the double the price of the car he said it's because of Warranty and GAP that's why they charged the bank over $18000 and he said that when I come back in 6 months to switch to another car he will cancel the Warranty and GAP and use that money for down payment for a nicer which is not true because you can not use warranty and GAP money for down payment, I really don't appreciate what they did and I feel that's very dishonest, it's a shame that during these hard times with the pandemic and everything going on for these guys to be scamming people out of their hard earned money. I will be never recommend anyone to go to that place because they'll scam you, I will get a lawyer because what they're doing is really wrong.

The auto dealer refused to accept a legal Power of attorney. After 6 hrs working deal they refused to complete transaction due to Power of Attorney. We visited Honda of Fort Myers on Friday March 26 and Sat the 27. Salesman was told from the beginning the wife had a power of Attorney for her husband who has late stage dementia, for the car that was being traded-in. Spent over 6 hours at dealership driving cars and completing the paperwork to complete the trade. I was trading in a 2016 lexus and trying to purchase a 2020 Ford Edge. When we finally got to the part of closing the deal the Finance Manager sad they would not take the Power of Attorney for the transaction. They wanted us to get Mr. to sign the document. He is not mentally capable of doing so. Without any other alternatives we left the dealership very frustrated. I am 85 years old and can not believe they treat people this way. I recently sold my home and needed to use the same Power of Attorney and had no trouble at all. The Honda Salesman is Mark B. The Sales manager is John D. Submitted by *** on behalf of
I purchased a vehicle, was told the price of the vehicle was around 25k, out the door would be around 29k. Got home plugged in the USB they gave me. Realized I was given a loan for around 40k. A whole bunch of warranties and contracts were added to my loan that I guess yes I singed for but was never told what I was signing. Was told they had to do all this to beable to make the deal but that it was no problem just to come in and sign the cancelation forms. So I went in and signed the cancelation form. (See attached) sence I've signed it it has just been one date after another of when it would be returned. Was supposed to have about 8k returned to the finance company and a 1200$ check wrote to me for permaplate that was never put on my car. Never wanted it, never asked for it. Made numerous calls and texts to the finance manager Paris. Was told 100% it would be took off the 23rd of April, after originally i was told it would be off within a couple weeks of signing the paper in Dec.
Was given inaccurate information about a tire purchase. I was told by my advisor that my tires were rated for 60,000 miles. I asked the advisor for documentation and was told the part number was on the slip. I checked the part number with three businesses and another Honda dealership and was told it was rated for 40,000 miles. I called the service rep and was told he would call me after checking with the service team. He never called back. I then spoke to the service manager who said he would look into it and that he along with the advisor would call back. I never received a call back. I feel that I am being ignored and that I was scammed by the dealership.
On 7/25 I visited and purchased a used 2011 Honda CRV at Honda Of Fort Myers 3550 Colonial Blvd. Fort Myers, FL. 33966. I have an extreme concern about this dealer sneaking a Lifetime Nitrogen Tire Service charge of $899.95 on your contract saying its a mandatory dealer fee and will not take it off. It is listed on the contract as additional items. It has on the bottom of the contract its a profit fee to the dealer. The dealer tells you its a mandatory fee and can't give you any information in writing what it covers nor do they tell you, you have it or paid for the service. I called the service department to I find out the Lifetime Nitrogen Tire Service is only for the time of your vehicles warranty. The warranty is ten years. My vehicle is already ten years old and I bought as is so this service does not apply to me because I did not purchase an extended warranty. So I have been ripped off! People need to be aware of this scam. I do not want this Lifetime Nitrogen Service or pay
Went to the dealer to purchase a vehicle
Went to the dealer to purchase a vehicle. Encountered extremely dishonest sales tactics. On Tuesday, 04/21 my mother and I went to the dealer to purchase a vehicle. Had a prepaid draft from my bank *** Credit *** Went to use the draft, was told by Chad that they did not accept prepaid drafts and that I would have to finance through them. We haggled the price to an acceptable $15,820. Then we were taken to the finance room, where Kevin proceeds to inform us that for some reason, we are required to purchase warranties and other products in order to qualify for the loan, and that we could not finance with *** if we did not. Got home and immediately called *** and was told that this was completely untrue, and I did not have to purchase a single warranty/ product in order to qualify for a loan through them, and was instructed to go to the dealer and cancel these warranties. As I read through the paperwork, I notice that Kevin has added on about $8,000 worth of other unnecessary products including: $999.00 for "ValueShield", a $4k auto service contract, $1,278 of roadside assistance, etc. This was unacceptable. And to add insult to injury, when I went to cancel the products with Kevin, I was lied to AGAIN, and told that the "ValueShield" contract could not be cancelled, even though it states EXPLICITLY within the contract that it can be cancelled at a ValueShield Dealer (i.e. Honda of Fort Myers). It is a shame that such dishonest people represent a dependable and reputable company like Honda.

I bought a Mitsubishi Outlander from this dealership on 11/3. I have been trying to title the car in Ohio. To be able to do this I need a form that proves I paid Florida taxes. I've been attempting to contact the dealership and their finance department for 2 months now to send me the form to no avail. I left messages. Sent emails. Contacted multiple people with no response! This should have been a form that was given to me in the first place. Unprofessional to say the least.
Charged for a warranty in the purchase contract that is not being honored. I purchased a protection coating treatment on 5/16, the vehicle was supposed to be treated however they never treated the vehicle or activated the warranty. I have contacted them many times & they refuse to address the matter or return my calls.

i was schedule to see a car 2019 dodge durango upon arrival they turn down my bussines because i had draft check suncoat they i was schedule to see a car 2019 dodge durango upon arrival they turn down my bussines because i had draft check suncoat they never told me over the phone i specifically asked about accepting suncoast draft . so the sales lady Maria told me at the spot after i tested the car for a little my draft was no good the financial told me the same and added THERE not enough money in to selling the car to you with your own bank i need you to finance with us ? they even offered me to use same bank but this time they will do the paperwork. something smells really bad on this. Isn't draft same as cash ? called suncoast credit union . i was told the payment would be made as soon they received the title reassigned and all the paperwork. so i would drive the car out from dealer and they will be getting the money . yes just like that but apparently the financial and floor manager didn't want me to leep my 3.25 APR .. INSTEAD THEY OFFER ME 5 APR what? so i have a 28k draft buying a car listed for sale on social media and search engines for 25.700 .. isn't 28k enough to buy 26k vehicles? it is mind blowing that i gave my time to this people with money in my hands and they decided on the sopt . my money and my bussines aren't good enough. or suncoast credit union wasn't good enough . as they said . suncoast pay us after a month or so. not really suncoast loan officer told me payment is in the same week or day . i STILL OPEN TO TAKE MY BUSINESS BACK TO THE DEALER IF THEY REVIEW THIS MATTER.

They pushed a lease on our trade in
They pushed a lease on our trade in. Said maintenance would be covered at any Honda dealership in the US. It's not covered. laughed when I reported. We traded a 2017 Honda CRV. We wanted to financed but told us that leasing would be better because everything was covered on the vehicle. Maintenance would be done at no charge because it was covered for the term of the lease at any Honda dealership in the US. Three finance managers spoke with us and explained the same information. We made a decision based on the information provided for us. We thought we had no worries because of the information they gave us regarding the lease. We signed a contract and left the dealership confident that we made the best choice and believing that maintenance was part of the lease. We took the vehicle to Honda of Yonkers for the first maintenance to find out that it was not covered and we would have to pay almost $200 for maintenance every 5000 miles. When I called Honda of Ft Myers, I spoke with Steve, one of the managers that told me he has nothing to do with my sale (although he was) and that I rejected that plan, which is ridiculous and makes no sense. The finance manager that wrote up our lease was in the background laughing stating that it was him who sold us that vehicle and told us about the maintenance plan. The day of the purchase that finance manager has on a shirt that has the Santander logo and made us believe he worked for Santander. My husband and I are very very upset and disbelief that they did not care at all about the lie they sold to us. Now we are stuck with a lease and paying for maintenance while they are laughing it off.

I trusted the finance manager would bill the used car correctly. He overcharged and now the GM, Justin T.is dodging me and not returning calls. I went to purchase and vehicle for $22777. Plus I traded in my used car and got $1300 for it. I signed and got home and plugged the USB into my computer and saw that I had financed over $32k for the car. This was way too high and I began looking at the add ons that I was not aware of. I submitted a cancellation with Justin T., the Sales GM and nothing has been done with it. I have sent emails to get follow ups and nothing has happened. I have called the dealer only to get hung up by the receptionist. Nothing has been done or taken care of and am looking for someone to at least report them. I have tried but this is my last resort.
Kevin the financial manager approved my loan for a Ford escape 2015. Now Kevin demands the vehicle back and refuses to return the deposit of $1000 Kevin the financial manager approved the loan on a Ford 2015 Escape, with a trade-in of a 2012 Escape plus $1000 down payment. During a time of purchase a week ago Kevin had me to sign numerous papers digitally and very fast without knowing but with a signing, 30 minutes after he gave me the keys. I registered the car in my name and insured in my name. Kevin is now asking for me to come in and sign additional papers in regards to the trade-in vehicle or he will repossess, I contacted Kevin and ask if I was to receive my 2012 escape plus my $1000 for down payment. Kevin's response is we will repossess and Kevin being evasive of returning my $1000 deposit and continues to harass me with we repossession of the vehicle. I have had the vehicle no more than one week, it is registered in my name through the insurance company, and it is registered through my name in a tag, and it has not been 30 days not even a payment is due can he repossess and why? Why is he denying or refusing to give me my $1000 deposit back?
I booked a meeting with the VIP sales manager two days before looking at a specific vehicle
I booked a meeting with the VIP sales manager two days before looking at a specific vehicle. He knew I was on the way, and it's a two-hour drive. When I arrived, I waited over a half hour. As I was walking out the door, they let me look at the vehicle. First, they undervalued my trade by $3,500 less than other dealers. No big deal - we fixed that, but - buyer beware. Then, they presented me with a sales document listing my trade $250 less than agreed and priced the vehicle $500 more than they quoted. Had I not paid attention, it would have cost me $750. Subsequently, I discovered the vehicle was a rental, and a key fob was missing. Finally, after I think we're ready to finalize the sale, they refused to let me use my bank's pre-approved loan. The sales associate told me I'll be able to talk with a financial advisor in 5 to 10 minutes; however, 90 minutes after they verify my outstanding credit, I was still waiting. I had to speak to the most senior person at the dealership to move things along. After 6 hours, I was finally speaking to finance. This large man, sitting in the office by the side door, was unnecessarily rude and disrespectful. This individual's arrogance and treatment toward me killed the purchase. Treating people with dignity and respect is not that hard, simple as that. Furthermore, he ran my credit more times than agreed, and blatantly lied to me. He said the business couldn't accept my institution's money because payment would be withheld for a minimum of 10 days. My bank stated Honda of Fort Myer would have received payment within 24 to 48 hours of the paperwork being signed. If a dealership has no intention of letting you use your bank, they should state that before taking up an entire day and having you drive 260 miles. Disabled veterans, service members, and anyone in a forced unemployment situation due to COVID be cautious.

Mistreatment by financial officer at car dealership
I experienced mistreatment by a financial officer at a car dealership. I purchased a used Honda Civic and had a positive experience with the salesperson. However, the financial officer, Mr. Kevin K., was rude when I chose to pay in cash without an extended warranty. He made several disparaging remarks and questioned my political preferences inappropriately. I reported his behavior to his superiors and have also informed various consumer protection and automotive groups about the incident.

Went to the dealer Honda of Fort Myers to purchase a used vehicle, got ripped off by the finance manager Kevin K
Went to the dealer Honda of Fort Myers to purchase a used vehicle, got ripped off by the finance manager Kevin K. total worth of $12,662.24 Encountered extremely dishonest sales and financial tactics. On Saturday, 07/4 I went to the dealer to purchase a used vehicle. We haggled the price and accepted at $34,888.85 (that includes tax, title, and all other charges) for 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC-300. Then I was taken to the finance room, where the finance manager Kevin K. inform nothing about warranties and other products, but he added about $12,662.24 worth of other unnecessary products without my knowledge, He got my digital signs on screen protected monitor and gave the digital copies in a pen drive(very smart). Later by looking at those digital copies, financial agreement and contracts, I was shocked and found unwanted charges following below Contract #1 JM&A Carco GAP Purchase- Price= $995 Contract #2 JM&A Ding Shield Ultimate Plus- Purchase Price-$996 Contract #3 JM&A Car Care Service Plan - Purchase Price= $1834 Contract #4 JM&A Mechanical Service Contract- Purchase Price -$3638 Contract #5 TWS Appearance Protection Premium Plus - Purchase Price-$1250 Contract #6 TWS Key Key Plan -Purchase Price-$599 (they didn't provide 2nd key but they charged) Contract #7 TWS ValueShield - Purchase Price- $1379 Hope scholarship program Contribution Election = $105 (why should I contribute?) Total unnecessary product purchases $10,796 that I found I still cannot figure out a total of $1,866.24 (($12,662.24 -$10,796)) where Kevin manipulated. Their tax computation was not making sense, which I wanted clarification on. They had multiple fees with no description. Dealer Honda of Fort Myers and finance manager Kevin K. not responding to my calls/emails, I sent contract cancellation from but no response. Kevin mention that I got loan approval from Capitol One bank at %5.7 APR, but Contract agreement says loan got approved from Fifth Third Bank with at %7.2 APR way more then what I have been told. It is a shame that such dishonest people like Kevin K.represent a reputable company like Honda.

Details of my invoice we never disclosed, including amounts of add-on services and warranties
Details of my invoice we never disclosed, including amounts of add-on services and warranties. After reviewing my invoice, (which was never shown to me at the dealer, but rather handed to me on a thumb drive, in an envelope) I have realized there are some extremely dishonest practices going on at Honda of Fort Myers. My complaint has to do with undisclosed charges being added on without making me aware of their effect on my bill. For starters there is the new tag fee: the salesperson told me it would be $499 for a new tag but on the bill there is a $1250 charge for "permaplate". But then there is also a $376.85 fee for "Title, Registration, and License Fees" with a box checked new and an unchecked transfer box (very confused). The combined $1700 for "predelivery service charge" and "tint/nitro" are actually the only added charges, other than taxes of course, that I was made aware of. Then there are the charges for GAP ($1500) and Value Shield ($1299). The amounts of these were never disclosed and I was told that the vehicle I financed which had 41k miles ran out of manufacturer warranty at 36k miles which, after doing a little research, was a lie as the manufacturer bumper to bumper is for 60k miles. The vehicle was listed at $12740 and my bill is for $22786 (a number that was never revealed to me until I got home and plugged the thumb drive into my computer to have a look). These are unbelievable dishonest and inexcusable business practices and people that I have had the displeasure of dealing with. And to top it all off, the salesman takes my temporary plate to go "put it on the car" which I assumed he had done, but when I get home, there's no temporary plate, just the Honda of Fort Myers filler plate! And I can't get hold of anyone there to have them send me a plate! It's not every day a person buys a car, it's not a well-practiced routine for most people. It is a dealership's responsibility to walk their guests honestly and efficiently through every step of the car-buying process rather than do what is done at Honda of Fort Myers which seems to be smoke and mirrors their way through each deal.

I have a complaint regarding the non disclosed of charges posted in my sales contract and also a change on an amount agreed upon for a GAP
I have a complaint regarding the non disclosed of charges posted in my sales contract and also a change on an amount agreed upon for a GAP policy. Went to the dealer to purchase a vehicle. Encountered extremely dishonest sales tactics. On Saturday 06/27 my friend and I went to the dealer to purchase a vehicle. Had a pre approval from my bank Suncoast Credit Union, I was told by Jorge A. (Sales Person) that they did not accept pre approval from Suncoast credit Union and that I would have to finance through them. I then signed some paperwork to get me financed through one of their banks. Then we were taken to the finance room, where Kevin K. proceeds to inform us that for some reason, we are required to purchase a warranty so they can match the 2.75% interest that Suncoast offered me, and that I was getting a great deal so they were losing money if they did not sell me the Warranty. He originally said $2,000.00 and then, when I was signing the paperwork, he had increased it to $2,500.00, arguing that the $2,000.00 warranty was only for 3 years and he thought (without asking me) that it *** be better if I have a 5 year warranty worth $2,500.00. Then, we agreed on purchasing a GAP insurance through them for the amount of $500.00 and I thought that's what I signed in the paperwork he gave me. I was at the dealership for almost 9 hours and the Finance Manager, Kevin, was rushing me to sign the paperwork. When I went home, and as I read through the paperwork, I notice that Kevin added $399.00 on extra accessories that I never agreed upon nor was it disclosed to me by the Sales person or any other employee that I interacted with. Not only that but I also found that instead of the $500.00 for the GAP insurance, Kevin changed the amount of the policy to $999.00, this was unacceptable. When I contacted Kevin to get some answers, he said : "I am surprised you are still looking for discounts when we gave you a lot of money for your trade". I was lied to, and told that the GAP was going to cost me $500.00 not $999.00, I was never told about the extra accessories and I never agreed on paying for any extra accessories. It is a shame that such dishonest people represent a dependable and reputable company like Honda.

I tried purchasing a vehicle at this business and i feel additional charges were included that i do not agree with
I tried purchasing a vehicle at this business and i feel additional charges were included that i do not agree with. I was purchasing a vehicle Blue nissan Rogue 2019 with a price of $13,990.which i was told by salesman Shawn G. would be $17700 with taxes, dealers fees and a charge of 399 for nitrogen in tires and tint which car comes with from fabrication with no option to refuse. I never heard of these. Kevin K. in financing insists on adding warranties and other things even tho i keep telling him i only want gap ins. I say i don't needs extras, I say i want lower payment. Kevin brings in another finance guy who says I can get these things and refinance in 10 months no big deal. I put in $2000 deposit on my Amex credit card that they now wont refund to me. I feel i was taken advantage of because I was alone and female. They don't let you see actual numbers when signing documentation and rushing thru at end you are given usb to make it yet more difficult to review your documents. I review documents and see that even with $2000. I will wind up paying over $29000 for a used car with starting price of $13990, with interest of $5500. which would be lower without all the other charges he added on. I called and email next day I want to cancel and I am returning the car. fees are ridiculous. He says I can cancel warranties. That bank already paid for car and I can not cancel. I took car back and dropped of the keys. I emailed Kevin K. again requesting refund for my deposit he sent me warranties so i can sign and cancel them..But I would still be making same payments on car as if I still had warranty even if I cancel. I emailed Michelle W. at ***@morganautogroup.com who is customer relations specialist and Kevin K. ***@hondaoffortmyers.com on Saturday July 11th and I am still waiting on reply. At this time I don't want any dealings with this company and just want my deposit of $2000. refunded and cancellation of contract for vehicle that is on their lot returned on July 8th less than 24 hours after purchase. I believe from reading their reviews here and online that my situation is not a new one and they keep on scamming customer and bullying until we sign paperwork for things that are not required for the purchase of a vehicle.. According to paperwork my deal was XXXXX Thank you

Inflated price of vehicle and added extended warranty I declined
Inflated price of vehicle and added extended warranty I declined. Purchased the car in July . was told I could not pay cash and I had to finance with their bank but could refinance after 3 months of payments. As a bonus they deferred my payments for 3 months meaning I would not be able to refinance for 6 months. Here we are 6 months later I was trying to refinance but find out I owe over $20,000 on a $12,990 car. Rep at *** says it is because of an extended warranty most likely and to call the dealership. I declined the extended warranty as Hyundai has a 10 year warranty. I called the dealer to speak with someone, they took a message. *** emailed me back and said I could fill out a form to have the remaining balance of the warranty refunded based on how many miles are now on the car. The math still did not add up. I requested the financial documents as those were never provided to me on the flash drive from the day of purchase. Neither was documentation of the extended warranty. I requested both. After careful review, I discovered a discrepancy in the math. Information requested from dealership shows purchase price 12,990 plus sales tax 1335.48 plus predelivery service fee 999, plus government stamp tax 73.50, plus license registration fee 194, plus certificate of title fee 16, plus extended warranty contract 3,518 equal 19,125.98 This amounts to a discrepancy of $1,849.95 from the amount financed of $20,975.93. Left 3 messages at the dealership plus 2 with ladies who answered. The second lady said she would notify finance and the general manager. No one will return my calls. Left an email for *** to go over this again, no response. Called *** and spoke with a rep who said the full amount of the extended warranty can be refunded but must go through the dealership. I explained they will not return my calls and she offered me an email address to the dealer. The attached documents will show the purchase price and tax collected, extended warranty, and finance breakdown showing the discrepancy in purchase price of vehicle that leads to the difference of $1,849.95. Loan documents on the day of sale were downloaded to a flash drive. I received no paper copies of anything. However, I was never provided with the retail sales contract or the extended warranty. By not providing these documents prevented me from catching the sales practices in a timely fashion.

Bait and Switch during signing of contract
Bait and Switch during signing of contract. Explained agreed to services then asked to sign for different undisclosed services with no paperwork. On 11/15, I went to Honda of Ft. Myers to look at a vehicle. While sitting inside, my then vehicle was hit by a customer in a new Honda vehicle. After a lengthy conversation with the sales manager, I traded in my now damaged vehicle. I have always carried Gap coverage and extended warranty on my vehicles. The finance representative added an additional Gap coverage that was not disclosed to me. There was also an exterior warrant coverage that was added undisclosed to me. When purchasing the extended warranty coverage, the finance representative told me that the coverage that I was buying would cover everything except the windshield wipers. This is what I have always bought for my vehicles. This would have a $100 deductible. After very quickly signing on a glass desk top, docu-sign document, I was handed a thumb drive with no paperwork. I didn't think twice about what I signed because the finance representative was very nice and went over the details with me before I started to sign anything. Unfortunately, $4,400+ was paid to a 3rd party from my contract. I was charged for 2 Gap coverages and an external paint coverage in addition to more undisclosed charges. The warranty that I bought was not enough to cover the windshield wipers when in fact, it wouldn't even cover the new technology electronics on a vehicle that had 40K+ miles on it, which was out of warranty. I was charged $2,500 for this warranty. The buyers order does NOT include these undisclosed charges. The dealership has offered to let me buy the correct warranty coverage at their cost of $700 and offered to pay 1/2 of a service that I have already paid for. The have offered to refund the undisclosed service charges but only at the end of my contract long after I have paid interest on thousands of $. The GM, Ernie Simms refused to authorize the Platinum coverage because he already gives to charities, so he said to me. He said that he would spend hundreds of thousands of $$ before he would make this right. He said because I signed the contract, I had no recourse. I requested they write me check for the undisclosed services and deduct the $350 from the cost of the correct warranty with the $100 deductible. I requested that everything be in writing. I have not heard back from anyone since I requested they do what is right. (other than someone trying to call me within seconds of my email on [protected] now 32 complaints have been filed against this dealership in the last 12 months. Most of these complaints are of the similar nature. My vehicle was immaculate the day I traded it in. I would never buy the above undisclosed services.

Honda of Ft Myers to reimburse the Roadside Assistance service and sales tax as per the services cancellation form, filled and signed by them
Honda of Ft Myers to reimburse the Roadside Assistance service and sales tax as per the services cancellation form, filled and signed by them. On Sunday 07/05 my husband and I went to the dealer (Honda of Fort Myers) to purchase a vehicle seen on their website. After much discussion, Alex T., our sale advisor, brought in his sales manager who agreed to give us a discount if we financed the vehicle instead of paying in cash as planned, assuring us we could pay off right away if we wanted. A financial advisor, Kevin B. went through all the paperwork signing for vehicle purchase and Fifth Third car loan in his office. It is significant to note that we saw no papers. Everything was displayed on a huge docupad screen laid on the tabletop, making reading awkward. After signing all, we requested a copy of the documents but were told that they would come in the mail from the bank. He then said we were done and to wait for the vehicle in the lobby, handing us a paper copy of the vehicle registration to take along. Around 3 weeks later, an envelope arrived from the bank, containing only the payment stubs. Still no documents. Thanks to the account number on the stubs, we were able to create a login on Fifth Third Bank to hopefully get our car loan information. There we discovered the loan amount was $21,995 instead of $15,599 agreed car price. Astonished at the unexpected extra financial burden, we called Honda of Fort Myers to speak with Alex T., without success. We also tried to call Kevin B., the dealership finance agent without success. After many unreturned calls to the dealership, messages left wtih the receptionist and emails over the next several days, we returned in person to Honda of Ft Myers on July 27. There, we met a finance agent who agreed to print out the car purchase documents, but no loan documents because, he said the dealership had sent them to the bank, that we had to ask the bank for the loan documents. After reviewing the dollar amounts on the purchase documents, we saw the difference in total price was due to addon services and warranties that we had never asked for. We therefore demanded cancellation of the warranty, GAP and roadside assistance. The finance agent filled in a form requesting full cancellation of the warranty, GAP and roadside assistance plus sales tax. He faxed that to JMAGroup/Fidelity and gave us a copy of the faxed form, saying the reimbursement would appear in the loan account in a few weeks On August 19, an amount appeared showing JMAgroup/Fidelity reimbursed only the warranty and the GAP. Upon contacting JMAgroup/Fidelity they informed us that they do not offer Roadside Assistance, that Honda of Ft Myers is responsible for reimbursing Roadside Assistance and sales tax paid on the 3 items because they did the contract. The finance agent that filled the cancellation form faxed to JMAgroup/Fidelity including all three items and the sales tax for full refund, assured us we would be refunded in full. He either believed JMAgroup/Fidelity was responsible for all the charges or was untruthful to us. In either case, full refund has not been made for the cancelled services. We emailed Honda of Ft Myers, Kevin B. finance advisor, requesting reimbursement of Roadside Assistance and sales tax. No reply has been received.

They financed a vehicle to me that the dealership doesn't have a title for
They financed a vehicle to me that the dealership doesn't have a title for. In 64 days they have been unable to produce a title. On 9/24 I traded in a 2016 Kia Sorento for a 2019 Jeep Compass. We signed all appropriate paperwork, were given the keys and temp tag sent on our way. The temp tag I was given is a few days from expiration so I call/email the dealership, inquiring why I hadn't gotten a permanent plate, I'm told must be something to due with slow downs due to covid. They overnight me another temp tag so I may continue using my vehicle. 50 days after purchase I still don't have a permanent plate. I call on 11/20 to the dealership tag and title office, speak with a woman Hannah, she informs me the hold up is due to the inability to produce a title for said vehicle to DMV. That the dealership will have to give me a rental car until the situation is resolved. Assures me someone from the dealership will reach out to do so. On 11/ 23 I still haven't received a call. I call the title office back, I am told again someone at dealership would call me. On 24th I am told the controller in the title office is having a Jake T. call me within the next hour to set me up with a vehicle to drive. He doesn't call within the hour so I call the number she provided me for him. I was put on hold for 20 minutes to be told he would have to call me back. I explain that it was unacceptable that he needed to answer. 5 more minutes on hold he answers, explains he isn't the person who sets people up with rentals but he would have them call me in the morning when he came in or I could come by in the morning and they would get it figured out. I explained I live 3 hrs away from their dealership and had work the next morning and couldn't do that to have the person call me. In the morning of the 25th I dont receive a phone call, my vehicle temp tag is now expired and I'm unable to drive it legally. I call back the dealership, am sent to a voicemail box where I leave a message that someone was supposed to call me to arrange for a rental car, leave my number and beg for a call back. I got no return call until my husband emailed dealership and said we would be contacting a lawyer, I then got a call back from Jake again. He was very irritated and said if you were unhappy with the car we will have someone come pick it up and give you your money back, I explain we didn't put any money down that I traded in another vehicle which they had already sold. Re-explain my frustration with everything that had happen. I am then told they are overnighting me a dealer tag to use. After the phone call I looked up the use of a dealer tag by someone who isn't a worker at the dealership is not lawful, a ticket able offense. I received the dealer plate in the mail yesterday 11/27, to find paperwork they intended for me to sign stating the Jeep is not financed to me and is still owned by the dealer, (which is untrue i have the contract to prove it) that I promise to not drive it farther that 50 miles from dealer which they know I'm already outside the limit, and that I promise to return vehicle in 24 hours of signature or from my understand it's theft. I have spoken yo my local DMV/ tax office and they said the selling of the vehicle without a title is ILLEGAL. The dealership appears to be trying to put some form of blame on me and get me to do something I shouldn't. This is just wrong, its from my understanding illegal. I just wanted a vehicle and instead I've gotten nothing but lies.

I went to Suncoast again and they gave me an approved draft on the spot, no cosigner or any other requirement. I took that draft to the dealership on Sunday, July 12th and *** K.refused to take it and argued that I needed to sign a new contract with them. I told him I did not want to do that and asked him to cancel the contract because according to him, no bank wanted to approve me. I left the dealer and later wrote an email to him. asking to send me a Notice of Cancellation letter, as it is stipulated in the contract, they have to send me a written notice of Cancellation and I have 48 hours to return the car. I am waiting to receive the letter, I am beyond dissatisfied and disappointed with the sales practices *** this car dealership, I don't know if they *** do something to my trade in car while is in their possession and I wish someone would do something to stop this type of business practice. Not fair for anyone just trying to buy a car; a shame that such dishonest people represent a dependable and reputable company like Honda.

Sales practices, wasted time, forced aggressive tactics, then unwillingness to lift a finger
Sales practices, wasted time, forced aggressive tactics, then unwillingness to lift a finger. We Traded in a 2017 Honda Ridgeline for a New 2020 Ridgeline. During service it was suggested we talk to a sales person because we had kept good care of our car and they would be interested in talking to us about what it was worth. During this conversation they came to value the vehicle at 23,500. We then took the conversation to what would we buy, if we did. We landed on the 2020 Ridgeline. We agreed on a price for the vehicle and went onto financing. Because I own a corporation (Flawless Finish Inc.) The bank wanted additional stipulations to secure the loan, this stipulation was Paystubs. It was late, they told us to take the New 2020 Ridgeline home with us, send them the paystubs, come back in the next day switch over our tonneau cover from the old truck, to our new, get a copy of our paper work, done deal. We did that, sent in pay stubs, went and had our cover switched from our old 17 to the new 2020. We left and were on our way to our vacation in the Florida Keys. When enroute to our vacation I was phoned by Honda of Fort Myers. They informed me the Lender said that since I printed the stubs out myself (meaning me, the owner and operator) they couldn't accept those as valid. I disagreed with that, but asked how we then could overcome that obstacle. They requested I provide them with 3 months of my personal bank statements. I declined. I offered as a middle ground, that since they were concerned about the business being mine, I could send them tax returns and detailed profit and loss to prove the taxes paid ETC. I did that, but I assume that was not sufficient. Long story short, we were no longer able to secure a loan and we were asked to Bring the truck back and switch everything out. This all made sense and even though me and my wife were disappointed, I understood we had a unique situation and its not always easy for loans and things like this. When we arrived how ever everything was much different. I was berated by 2 separate managers that I wasted their time. I was a fraud and was never interested in buying a vehicle. In front of my wife and other customers I was told repeatedly how bad I was to have wasted all of their time. I then asked if they could just please return our down payment and please return our cover back to our truck we would just leave. I was already embarrassed enough prior to their display in the entrance to their store. I was told they would not remove our cover and put it back on our truck unless we paid them 275.00. I said I didnt feel that was fair and I just wanted my truck back the way it was prior to the failed transaction. They still refused. I asked if I could just have them remove it from their 2020 Ridgeline and then I would have someone else place it back on. They again refused and said that I could go get tools and then come back and take it off myself. I said I am not a mechanic, i also dont own the truck it is on, therefor do not want to become liable for any possible and likely damage from me removing it. Long story short, the only way I could get out of that dealership with everything that belonged to me, was to pay the 275.00. Also during this transaction as we were told on MANY occasions the financing was already a "forsure" thing (texts and emails) I asked so many times that it was a "forsure" thing because I had a professional sound system that I would also need to have removed. Obviously at our cost had to be removed from the 17, to put into the 20, just to remove and put back into our 17, just like the truck cover at cost to us. ALSO WE ARE STILL LISTED AS THE OWNER OF THE 2020 WITH THE DEPT OF FL. MAYBE WANT TO FIX THAT.

And they won't respond looking for the one era information!
all I can say is trust nothing, trust no one form this facility.
Scammers, bait and switch. Don't go there. Ripoff. Advertise great prices but don't have cars in inventory. Stay away grom these criminals.
