unethical behavior

On Oct 23, 2018I ordered for Thanksgiving Dinner from Honey Baked Ham Online and within minutes received a reply with the wrong date (my error). I called Customer service the system was down and the lady said she would take care of the date being changed for delivery. On their online website this morning said the order was pending. I got and email saying my order was shipped and I would receive it today. Called customer service again and they said even though the site was down and I had called I could not return to them and they would not refund my money. I told him this was not my fault that the system was down and customer rep told me it would be taken care of. He hung up on me after stating I should order again and they would give me free shipping. I will never order from them again.

bogo promotion
Local store states that their register is not able to honor buy one get one promotion for 1/2 pound packages. The coupon does not state that the purchase must be one pound packages each. Reached out to corporate office and they state that they are unable to do anything and this should be discussed with the local store. Apparently corporate office is not fluent in customer service and they had a problem understanding the situation. They asked me what I would like them to do for me and when I suggested a gift certificate she indicated as I stated above call the local store. The representative indicated that she would file a complaint on my behalf, but I am unsure whether or not this will be done. I called the store in Birmingham Michigan wanting to speak to a manager but there was no answer. I then reached out to a local store in Troy Michigan where the manager told me that this was a simple fix and I should come into his location and he will make it right by issuing me a gift card. I have no idea why the store I initially went to in Birmingham, as well as the corporate office could not and would not help out.

I received an email pretending to be from Honey Baked Ham confirming an order that I did not place. It came from [protected]@hbham.com. I checked and there is no such web address so I attempted to report this to the company. After being left on hold for over 25 minutes when I called the Customer Service number, I let it continue to hold while I attempted to find an email address to forward this information. There is no email address on the Honey Baked Ham website. I called my local Honey Baked Ham store, asked for the manager, and he said they weren't allowed to give out email addresses and I should call their Customer Service number. I let him listen to the hold music and message and told him that option has not worked for over thirty minutes.
What is wrong with these people? This pathetic Customer Service situation has left me determined to never be a Honey Baked Ham customer ever again and all I wanted to do was help them protect their customers from hackers.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.

gift card
I was given a gift card for Honeybaked Ham in December 2017. When I tried to use it I was told it had no value. The receipt that accompanied the card showed a $90.00 available balance. I tried calling several numbers for customer care and the number for card balances and all are automated and no live representatives to assist me. Poor customer service.
honey baked spiral ham
I spent almost $90 for a 10 lb honey baked spiral ham for Easter, it was only cut spiral for half of the ham and the bottom had the biggest piece of fat that I actually pealed it off and there was also a large fat pocket in the middle. I paid for about 2 lbs of fat. I am so disappointed and will not be buying another honeybaked ham. I picked up the Ham in Monroeville Pa on Friday March 30th for Easter Sunday, it was ordered ahead of time.
baked bean recipe altered?
I've been a big fan of HBH for years. As the local franchise often runs out of BakedBeans, I've been known to drive for 30miles to score some! but this year (2017) the recipe was somehow altered and they were a significant disappointment. HEY HQ! If you're reading this, answer me: can the local franchise cook the beans any way they chose, or must they adhere to a time-tested recipe? VERY disappointed -- hope its an anomaly
honey baked turkey
We purchased a honey bake turkey on December 24, 2017 along with a ham. The ham was good. The turkey was frozen. We were unable to serve it. We cooked it like a normal turkey but it came out dry and disgusting. There were no directions. Disappointing that the store is not answering their phone and the customer service number loops. I was never able to speak to anyone to get resolution.

12/16/17 at 3:04pm. I approached the cashier to ask for a smoke whole turkey that was reserved a few days ago by phone. She pointed to a turkey breast in a box with see through lid. I then repeated that I had a WHOLE smoke turkey reserved and gave her my confirmation number. She went back to the refrigerated area and produced the same product as above. A co-worker then explained to her that whole turkey meant the 'whole' turkey and not the part. 5 minutes later, she came out with the whole turkey but it wasn't frozen. I've been getting this smoke turkey for 12 years a week before the event, so it thaws in the refrigerator. So I asked her for a frozen version. She told me that there's no such thing, and I told her after 12 years, I know I have been doing this all the time. 5 minutes later, she came out with what I requested. A frozen smoke whole turkey. I was rung up (Ref#5414, UID # [protected], Batch #290). I told her the reason it was best frozen was that it took 7 days to thaw in the refrigerator just in time for Christmas. She then rolled her eyes and said "Whatever". I asked her for her name. She refused to give it to me. I asked her co-worker Sally for her name, and she said "Allie". Allie did not have a name tag. How could HoneyBake Ham hire such a rude person, let alone a person who could not distinguish a turkey breast vs. a whole turkey. On our receipt, she was clerk #[protected].
I shall also follow up with the manager of that particular store either tomorrow, or Monday.

Your husband will need to be submitting the complaint as he was actively involved in the situation. He will need to contact Kroger directly however as this website is not directly affiliated with them. They most likely will not see your complaint here. Your complaint also sounds like it should be with Kroger only, not Honeybaked (unless the individual giving out the samples was an employee of Honeybaked). I'm a little surprised this happened on both sides however since the company that created the samples is literally called Honeybaked Ham.
thanksgiving dinner
So for the past three years I have ordered thanksgiving dinner from honey baked ham.So it upsets me that my order this year will not be delivered today and of course I'm unable to contact any because every single one of the numbers I have called have been busy.Thanksgiving is very important to my family and I was hosting 10 guests .Needless to say that my holiday has been ruined .This is a nightmare come true.

Ordered my ham and turkey for Thanksgiving and didn't receive my ham.After waiting all day for my order I started to worry so I called to find out that my order wouldn't be shipped until after Thanksgiving on 11-24-2017. What good is that to my family that will be here for Thanksgiving? I placed my order 2 weeks in advance just so this wouldn't happen. If I wouldn't have called I would still be waiting on my order that wasn't coming. I received an email on 11-21-2017 saying my order had been shipped and was on it's way when clearly it wasn't. When I called the only thing they would do is refund shipping cost. Wow thanks Honey Baked Ham for ruining our Thanksgiving dinner.
horrible customer service
I ordered a wonderful and good looking Boneless Ham Dinner for upcoming holidays and never received it. Even if I receive it, not sure it will be fresh.
Oh, I forgot to mention that I bought it two weeks ago. The company was aware of this, but they just blamed the UPS for non-delivery like real cowards. Now I can see I am not the only one having the same problem. I bet the UPS guys have no idea they were supposed to deliver something and that they are constantly accused by HoneyBaked.

I'm not really here to Complain, but more so to make you AWARE of a SPELLING ERROR in your Southern California Advertisement. The word "Extended" is misspelled with the "N" in the word mis typed with an "R." Because the R is in Cursive, it is probably not caught by many people. "ETERDED" hours...instead of EXTENDED hours.
I am writing you not only to inform you of the TYPO, but also to show my Video Production students that you must DOUBLE/TRIPLE CHECK your work before it is sent out to the Public for Viewing.

I had a horrible experience at your Overland Park, KS location. Store # 8101. I went to try out Honey Baked Ham’s lunch for the very first time. The food was absolutely delicious BUT the customer service was AWFUL. Was treated VERY rudely by an employee named Becca. I ordered a Ham Classic sandwich with a side of potato salad and Becca brought out my sandwich and walked away, well, after waiting a couple minutes, I figured she had just forgot my potato salad! So I went up to the register and Becca was in the back room and I said, “excuse me, I ordered potato salad too” and she replied in a very rude manner, “I know that” I said, “ok?” She looked at me and said, “I’m just one person, can’t u see that?” Oh wow! Why just not bring the potato salad out with my sandwich? I’M VERY APPALLED BY THIS.

I ordered food for Christmas from this service HoneyBaked and received nothing! I had no food to serve and that was their fault! These people from HoneyBaked were terrible, they said that I need to contact the delivery service because that was their fault. They did not refund my money and they scammed my entire family. These clowns are unreliable and not to be trusted, they ruined our Christmas!

Horrific service. Ordered a ham/cheesecake long before Christmas. My order was never delivered. I called and sat on hold for two hours after it was suppose to be delivered but before Christmas. They blamed UPS. I was hung up on today. Called back and customer service said they had no idea where the order was. Then I was transferred to some who said the order was never sent! Stay away from this company! Not worth it!

I went to the Honey Baked Ham in Canton Ohio in Belden Village on Thanksgiving. In 2004 we received a cruddy unsatisfied ham because they burned it and dryed it out. and at that time I was not aware they had a complaint line and I was not able to put that complaint in. we returned back to honey baked ham in 2016 3 days before Thanksgiving and we noticed that not only the ham was dry the glaze was burt and the ham was only glazed half was and the employees did not want to show me another ham. also we realized that the honey baked ham in Buffalo New York is fantastic because the ham is cooked thoroughly and the ham was perfectly glazed and not dry. I feel that the emloyees that are glazing the ham and showing people the ham should be flexable and should have knowadge on they way to produce a good ham for your company. To end this situation the emlopyees need to be trained on the subject on producing ham on a perfect slate they need to slow down untill I see this change I will not be shopping at your resturants. I visited the Honey Baked Ham in Florence, South Carolina, eager to see what they had. As I came in their was only ONE worker. Taking the orders and making the sandwiches. That is very TERRIBLE. I am a owner of a seafood restaurant. I make SURE that if we are busy EVERYONE IS WORKING. If im there I will help run food, prep etc. Even my managers work. These managers here must be terrible. I asked to speak to one and she said she would have to go outside to get them. THATS HORRIBLE. A manager should always be inside the premises with workers. Especially since their was a line and wait. I ended up leaving but I will never return. I've already given you bad ratings any other way I could. Unfortunately I trashed my receipt. and I will be sending a letter to corporate. This was terrible service for a Deli shop! Maybe the owner should be informed because if I got a complaint of this sort I would be FURIOUS!
