I received confirmation for a hotel booking on Friday 18th confirming my stay for 19th-20th at The Dragon in Swansea, upon arrival they advised they can’t find my reservation on the list, I showed them confirmation but they did not have my reservation, they could not provide me with a hotel room as they didn’t have any available, I explained I wasn’t sure what to do as I live 2 1/2 hours away with nowhere to stay and it was around 0100 / 0130 due to finishing work, they advised I should call the Hopper App where the Hopper App would find me accommodation however I tried to call and didn’t receive an answer. I further tried several other hotels within the Swansea area + but there were no rooms available anywhere. This led me to being stranded overnight with nowhere to go, I had to get the first train home which was the 08:07 train from Neath to Worle where I live, I walked from Swansea to Neath for this journey. I am requesting a full refund despite the hotel room being ‘non refundable’ I think it’s disgusting that a 28 year old lone female was left on the streets overnight due to confirmation seemingly not reaching The Dragon, not only has this been a very frightening experience it’s also been massively costly having paid £146.99 for a hotel room that didn’t have a room for me and train fayre costs. This is the first time I have used the Hopper App as I have heard good things but sadly my experience has left me very upset and angry and I wish for no one else to be in the position that I was last night. I attach confirmation email, I am unable to attach anything further (please send me an email address for evidence) however I have price paid emails and the many phone calls I made to other hotels to get a room which resulted in 23 in total. I will continue to check the status on my complaint regarding the above
Desired outcome: Full refund
