Hover Hover Review: Unresponsive Help Center, High Fees, and Account Shutdowns

I've been a Hover user for a hot minute now, and I gotta say, I've been pretty happy with the service and the help function. But, like, over the past year or so, I haven't been able to get any response from the Hover help center. I've sent them, like, 20 emails asking for help, and they haven't said a word back. It's like they're ghosting me or something. And now, when it's time to renew my account, they're sending me reminders every day to pay up. Like, I get it, you want your money, but maybe respond to my emails first? Just a thought.

Honestly, I'd recommend checking out other options before committing to Hover. There are plenty of other email and web server options out there, some of them even free. And with Hover, you gotta pay $35 a year just to keep your email account. That's a lot of dough for something that might not even work properly.

To make matters worse, Hover straight up shut down my email account today without any warning. So now I can't access any of my emails or stored data. It's a total bummer, man.

So, like, be careful if you're thinking about signing up with Hover. What you pay for is definitely not what you get.

Hover Disappointed with Hover's Domain Registration and Customer Service

So, I had this awesome idea for a business name and website, and I thought, "let's just call it something.com." I mean, it's simple, catchy, and easy to remember, right? So, I did a whois search to see if the domain was available. I usually use whois.net, but this time I did a GoDaddy whois search instead. And guess what? The domain was available! I was so excited that I registered it right away and set it to private. I paid $60+ for it, which I thought was a pretty good deal.

But then, life got in the way and I got so busy that I forgot to check my email for the receipt. And when I finally did, I realized that my credit card didn't go through because I hadn't updated my billing address. I was devastated. I had lost the domain that I had worked so hard to get. And to make matters worse, when I did a whois search, I found out that someone else had registered the domain on the same day that I had tried to register it!

I was desperate to get my domain back, so I tried to contact the person who had registered it. But when I contacted Hover, the domain registrar, they told me that I would have to pay $199 just to talk to the person who had registered the domain! I couldn't believe it. I had already paid $60+ for the domain, and now I had to pay even more just to talk to someone about it?

I started to wonder if something fishy was going on. Maybe all whois.net traffic is monitored by Hover.com, and someone is using that data to quickly grab domains that people search for. It's just a wild theory, but it's the only explanation that makes sense to me.

Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with my experience with Hover. I feel like they're taking advantage of people who are trying to register domains, and their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who is looking to register a domain.

Hover Hover's Security Breach: Frustrating Account Recovery Process

Hover had a security breach and had to reset all passwords for accounts in their webmail system. I was one of the unlucky ones who got locked out of my account because I didn't update my alternate email address. It was a bummer, but I understand that security is important. However, I was surprised that they didn't email my actual hover email address to let me know about the reset. I mean, that's the whole point of having an email address, right?

Anyway, I had to jump through a bunch of hoops to get back into my account. I had to find someone to create a notary for me, which ended up costing me more than my entire email subscription with Hover. I was offered a few apologies, but nothing else. They wouldn't accept a copy of my passport or a list of past emails as proof of my identity. I had to go through the whole notary process.

To make matters worse, the person who was dealing with my request went on sick leave, and my issue got put into a new queue. I had to wait for three weeks to get my account back. When I asked if I could be prioritized, I was offered another apology, but nothing else.

I've had this email address for a long time, so I'm not going to switch providers just yet. But if I hadn't been with Hover for so long, I would definitely be looking for a new email provider. It's frustrating to have to go through so much trouble just to get back into my account.

Hover Hover: A Complete Disaster - My Experience with Their Domain Registration Services

So, my experience with Hover has been a complete disaster. My husband suggested that I use their services to register my domain, but it turned out to be a huge mistake. I tried to register my domain with them four times, but each time I was unsuccessful. They kept encouraging me to try again, but it was all in vain. In the end, I decided to register with netregistry and it went through without any issues.

But the worst part is that Hover took my money every time I tried to register with them. And to make matters worse, they promised to refund my money each time, but they never did. I have copies of the emails they sent me, promising to refund my money, but they still haven't done it. It's been 72 hours now and they still have my money.

Their support team told me that the transaction had been cancelled and that I would receive my money back in 48 hours. But that never happened. And when I contacted my bank, they told me that all they could do was cancel my card in case Hover tried to take my money again.

I'm extremely disappointed with Hover's services. They took my money and gave me nothing in return. And to make matters worse, they promised to refund my money but failed to do so. I'm a small business owner and every penny counts. I can't afford to lose money like this. I would never recommend Hover to anyone.

Hover Hover: The Best Domain Registrar with Unbeatable Service and Trustworthiness!

Hover is the absolute best! I mean, seriously, they are the real deal. I'm not one to support SOPA, and I know a lot of people feel the same way. Go Daddy, for example, supported it until they got called out by the Internet. I mean, they lost a ton of customers, including me and my friends, and even Wikipedia! But then they tried to act like they were neutral and didn't support it anymore. But let me tell you, that's a bunch of hogwash! Hover, on the other hand, never supported SOPA and spoke out against it before it was even cool to do so. They are built on OpenSRS and owned by Tucows, so you know they are legit.

Now, let's talk about their service. It's amazing! They offer great service at an affordable price, but what really sets them apart is their trustworthiness. You can't put a price on that! Even though there are cheaper options out there, you definitely get your money's worth with Hover.

Their DNS management interface is super sweet. You can edit multiple domains in bulk or only certain types of entries. And let me tell you, their domain privacy is included. That's right, INCLUDED! And don't even get me started on their surname email service. It's the bomb!

I highly recommend this company, and I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are about. They are the real deal, and I give them an A++++!

Hover Hover Email Provider Review: Unreliable, Incompetent, and Untrustworthy

Hover claims to be the best email provider out there, but let me tell you, that's a load of bull. I've been using their services for my family's email for over a decade, and suddenly out of nowhere, they tell me that my domain is no longer available and I have only nine weeks to switch to a new provider. What kind of crap is that? And when I read their terms and conditions, it's clear that they have all the power and can terminate the contract whenever they want, leaving me with no rights and no recourse.

To make matters worse, each new provider I've switched to has been even worse than the last. Mailbank, Netidentity, Tucows, and now Hover - they're all incompetent and unreliable. But I keep renewing every year because I don't want to go through the hassle of switching again.

But now, with this latest email from Hover, I've had enough. They're giving me just 63 days to migrate all my email addresses to a new provider. Are they kidding me? Is this some kind of scam? Have they sold off my domain to a big company? I don't know what's going on, but I'm not sticking around to find out.

I've found a new provider that's cheaper and gives me more email addresses for the same price as Hover. And best of all, I own my domain now - I'm not just renting it from some shady company that can kick me out whenever they feel like it.

So take my advice and avoid Hover and Tucows at all costs. Don't be fooled by their own positive reviews - they're just trying to cover up their terrible service.

Hover Hover (TUCOW) Review: Premature Renewals and Double-Billings

I had some issues with Hover (TUCOW) when I first started using them to register domains for my new business. I was pretty busy at the time, so I didn't really have the chance to switch to a different provider. Last year, I ended up registering 10 domains with them, and everything was going pretty smoothly until the beginning of this year.

That's when I started noticing a lot of charges showing up on my account. After taking a closer look, I realized that Hover had been renewing some of my domains before the 12-month mark. Sometimes it was just a week early, which was okay, but other times it was a month or even six months early. There didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it - it was completely random.

To make matters worse, I also discovered that I had been double-billed for some of my domains, and even for a small mailbox service that I had signed up for six months earlier!

I decided to give Hover a call to try and sort things out. They have a call-back service, which I thought was pretty convenient. However, when I finally got a call back 45 minutes later, it was just a robo-call that said "I'm sorry, no one is available to take your call" and then immediately hung up on me. I was pretty frustrated by this point.

So, I decided to send an email to their customer service team at ***@hover.com. I wrote a really detailed message explaining all of the issues I had been having. Unfortunately, it took them three whole days to get back to me, which was pretty disappointing.

When I finally did get a response, it wasn't exactly what I was hoping for. They didn't offer to credit me for any of the premature renewals or double-billings that had occurred. Instead, they just told me that once the registry accepts a payment for a renewal, they can't reverse it. I didn't really understand why I was being held responsible for their mistake.

In the end, they suggested that I turn off the auto-renew feature on my account so that I could control when my domains got updated and avoid getting double-billed in the future. I guess that's good advice, but I still feel like they could have done more to make things right. Overall, I'm not super impressed with Hover's customer service, and I'm not sure if I'll continue using them in the future.

Hover Hover: The Best Domain Name Registration Service with Fair Prices and Amazing Customer Service

Hover is an amazing domain name registration service that is both ethical and cheap. Their prices are realistic and fair, and their services are easy to use and understand. The customer service is amazing, and in my experience, they're the best out of all domain name registration services. I couldn't be happier! I love the way they handle domains!

I switched over last month from my old registrar who did things like put 60-day locks on my domain names or spammed me with advertisements constantly. For example, the prices at my old registrar seemed low but all of the hidden fees kept stacking up. For example, their. Coms were really cheap, but private registration was an extra $9.99 yearly, making the total costs to me around $20. Hover's. Coms are only $15 and private registration is included free. It can easily be turned on and off via Hover's intuitive GUI.

Hover's website is easy to use and free of annoying, flashy, spammy advertisements unlike the big, popular, misleading registrar. Hover's checkout process is simple and easy, and they don't try to constantly push additional products along the way.

Hover is amazing. The prices are realistic, fair, and direct. There are no hidden fees. Also, for those who are curious, people may often ask how to buy a domain name through Tucows. To buy a Tucows domain, go through Hover.com since Hover is Tucows' personal front. It's all OpenSRS anyway.

I discovered Hover from a Yahoo! Answers post linking to http://www.hovercoupon.com/ which had a 10% off hover.com coupon code, HONEST, and a lot of really useful information.

Switching was really easy but remember to disable private registration at your previous registrar first or all sorts of Hell can break loose. =/

Overall, Hover is a great company that provides excellent domain name registration services. Their website is easy to use, and their prices are fair and direct. The customer service is amazing, and they don't try to push additional products on you. If you're looking for a reliable and affordable domain name registration service, then Hover is definitely worth checking out!

Hover Disappointed with Hover's Lack of Customer Support and Loyalty

So, I had a bit of a problem with Hover recently. My credit card got hacked and I had to cancel it and get a new one. Unfortunately, my annual fee for my email address with Hover was due and they tried to charge my old card, which obviously didn't work. I reached out to them to see if I could defer the payment or pay another way, but they didn't respond. Instead, they just cancelled my email address without any warning.

Now, I've been using Hover for over twenty years and I've registered domains with them for almost as long. You'd think that would count for something, right? But apparently not. Loyalty and a history of paying on time don't seem to matter to them.

The worst part is that I use that email address for work - I'm a contract software engineer - so I was really stuck without it. I couldn't even see if any other automated charges were failing because the notifications would have gone to that email address. Hover didn't do anything to help until I finally got my replacement credit card, which took over a week, and was able to renew my email address registration.

Their excuse was that their emails requesting assistance were backed up. But that's not really an excuse, is it? Their automated processes, like the one that cancels registrations, weren't backed up, so it seems like they're more interested in getting rid of customers than helping them make payments. Not a very smart strategy, if you ask me.

To give you a comparison, my internet provider had a similar issue with a failed payment. But they were much smarter about it. They let me defer the payment for 14 days with just a click of a button in my account. Now that's a company that knows how to keep its customers happy.

Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with Hover. I've been a loyal customer for so long, but they didn't seem to care about that at all. I'll be looking for a new email provider and domain registrar from now on.

Hover Avoid Hover.com: Fraudulent Domain Removals & Billing Issues

Hover.com is a registrar that has caused us nothing but headaches. We had only been working with them for less than 10 days when things started to go wrong. We manage over 1,000 domains for various businesses and an employee suggested we use Hover.com to diversify our registrar portfolio.

After 10 days, we tried to log in to our account to purchase more domains, but we couldn't. We didn't receive any password reset emails or account ID information. We had to wait for 25 minutes to talk to a live chat representative who told us that another department had to deal with our account issues and that they would send us an email the next day.

The next day, we logged in to our account and found that NONE of our domains were there. We had to wait another 10 minutes to talk to a live chat representative who found some of our domains that were paid for and registered, but others were missing. We had receipts and confirmation that we paid for them, but they were not registered. We also had billing issues, refunds, and unauthorized charges on our credit card. The representative couldn't resolve the billing issue and told us to "keep checking our statements" for the excess charges to be refunded.

The worst part is that the domains we paid for and were charged for have since been registered somewhere else and cannot be registered again. One of the domains was worth four figures and is now gone!

We have not received any communication from the Hover team throughout this ordeal, and the live support has been unhelpful. We plan to file a dispute with ICANN and may pursue legal action for the domains that were fraudulently removed from our account.

Overall, we strongly advise against using Hover.com. They have caused us nothing but trouble and have created an accounting nightmare.

Hover Domain hosting

I pay $35.00 a year for my domain name. It auto renews. When I examined my credit card statement they had charged $35.00 twice. My credit card company removed one of the charges. Hover locked down the account and will not unlock until I pay $35.00 plus a $15.00 fee. Then they will refund the second $35.00 charge. Only a shady company would do this to a customer when they are the ones who made the mistake.

Desired outcome: Be responsible for the $15.00 fee that they caused and just unblock the account.

Hover Hover Review: Unreliable Email Service with Poor Customer Support and Sudden Termination of Contracts

Hover is a company that I would not recommend doing business with. Recently, Tucows has been selling off domain names that belong to Hover, which is causing a lot of problems for their customers. Some people have reported that they were only given 10 to 45 days notice before their email contracts were terminated. This is a big problem, especially if you have been using the same email address for a long time.

In my case, I had been using my email address for 16 years when it suddenly stopped working. I had no idea what was going on until I called customer support. They told me that they had discontinued my service and deleted all of my files. I was shocked and angry. I had no idea that this was going to happen, and I was not given any notice.

The customer support representative agreed to refund the money I had paid for the remainder of my lease, but they refused to compensate me for any actual damages. This was very frustrating, as I had lost a lot of important files and information.

Overall, I would not recommend doing business with Hover. They have been having a lot of problems lately, and it seems like they are not treating their customers very well. If you are looking for a reliable email service, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Hover Hover Domain Service Review: Terrible Experience, Website Suspended & Unresponsive Support

I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with Hover. When I first signed up for their domain service, they asked me to upload all my ID documents. I did it, no problem. But then, four months later, they went and suspended my domain out of nowhere. And you know what that means? My website got taken down by Google. Not cool, Hover. Not cool.

So, I reached out to them and they asked me to re-upload my ID docs. But every time I tried, their system kept spitting out an error message. I mean, come on. How hard can it be to receive a document? I spent over three hours on live chat with them, but they still couldn't fix the issue. And now, my ecommerce website is still down. Useless.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend Hover to anyone. They have terrible reviews all around, and my experience just confirms it. Save yourself the headache and go with another provider.

Hover Hover Review: Terrible Customer Service and Negligence with Expired Domains

So, I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with Hover. They went and bought Bulkregister, which is how I found out about them in the first place. But then, get this, they didn't even bother to contact me after the buyout. I mean, come on, that's just rude.

Anyway, a few months went by and I realized I needed to access my account. So I called them up and, get this, they had let a bunch of my domains expire without ever telling me. I mean, what kind of business does that? These were domains that I had owned for years and were worth over $10,000.

And get this, they didn't even have a credit card on file for me. I mean, I wasn't even their customer and they had access to my account. That's just plain unacceptable.

Overall, I gotta say, this was the worst experience I've had with a company so far. I wouldn't recommend Hover to anyone.

Hover Disappointing Service from Hover.com: Domain Cancelled Without Explanation

So, I was looking for a domain registrar to register a domain name for my company. I came across Hover.com and decided to give it a try. I registered my domain name using my prepaid debit card and got everything set up, including my site and email. I was excited to get my business up and running.

However, after just two days, I received an email from Hover.com telling me that my domain was unregistered and my service was cancelled. I was shocked and confused. They provided no reason for the cancellation and didn't notify me before removing my domain.

I was extremely disappointed with the service I received from Hover.com. It's frustrating to have your domain cancelled without any explanation or warning. I don't understand why they would offer domain registrations if they're not comfortable with people using their registrar.

Overall, I would not recommend Hover.com to anyone looking for a domain registrar. Their lack of communication and customer service is unacceptable. If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy domain registrar, I suggest looking elsewhere.

Hover Disappointed with Hover's Service and Customer Support

I've been using Hover for a long time now, since they were still called Mailbank. I've been a loyal customer for around 25 years, but recently I've been having some issues with their service. For the past 4 days, I haven't been able to send any emails, even though I can still receive them just fine. It's been a real pain in the neck, and I'm starting to get frustrated.

The worst part is the customer service. When I contacted them about the issue, they asked for full access to my mailbox so they could investigate. I don't know about you, but that seems a little sketchy to me. I mean, what are they going to do with all that information? It's like they're trying to spy on me or something. And even after I gave them access, nothing happened. It's like they just forgot about me.

I'm really disappointed in Hover. I've been paying them for decades, and when I finally need something from them, they can't even be bothered to help me out. It's a terrible company, and if it weren't for my email address, I would have switched to a different provider a long time ago. I just want to be able to send my emails again, is that too much to ask?

Hover Unprofessional and Incompetent: My Experience with Hover

Hover, man, they got some issues. So, like, I was trying to forward my URL, right? And it just wasn't working. This was like, yesterday at 8 pm and it's still not fixed as of 8:45 am today. And get this, they didn't even tell me about it! I had to find out from another customer. So, I sent them two emails and didn't hear anything back until I called them this morning. And let me tell you, the guy who answered the phone sounded like he just rolled out of bed. No automated greeting or anything. And when I told him about my problem, he was just like, "Sorry, no compensation for you." Like, what the heck, man? This company is totally incompetent and unprofessional. They don't care about their customers at all. So, yeah, stay away from these bull$#*! [censored] people.

Hover Hover.com Review: Poor Customer Service and System Glitches

Hover.com is a domain registration company that is part of the Tucows group. They've been around since 1993 and are now a public company. They seem to be more focused on "investor relations" than on helping customers with domain registrations. According to Wikipedia, they're the third-largest accredited registrar in the world as of March 2019. That's pretty scary considering how their system works.

I tried to transfer a domain to Hover.com, but their system couldn't handle it. It barfed twice and charged my Paypal account twice before barfing a third time. I tried to contact their "online chat" for help, but it was unavailable for 30 minutes. I finally got a rapid reply to my email, but when I asked to cancel the order, there was no follow-up. They didn't even say "we're sorry" or "can you give us a chance to look into this?". Nothing. It's really sad that they treat potential customers like crap. I wouldn't recommend Hover.com to anyone.

Hover Honest Review of Hover: Reliable Support, Limited Value

I been using Hover for a while now, back when it was still called NetIdentity.com and even before that when it was Mailbank.com. The original deal was pretty sweet, only $9.95 for a real POP email account that was supposed to be for life. But things have changed since then, with different owners and management and a few price hikes that left me feeling disappointed with the new pricing and service plans.

But I have to admit, from a support standpoint, Hover has always been responsive, responsible, and reliable. They're always there to help you out when you need it, and that's something that's hard to come by these days.

If you're looking for an easy one-stop provider of high-demand custom domains, then Hover might be the right choice for you. But if you're looking for more flexibility, I would suggest purchasing your own .com/.net/.org domain and buying a hosting service instead. Sure, $35/year for a single email may be okay, but I'm pretty sure you can get much more for just a little more money.

Overall, I think Hover is a decent option for those who want a simple and straightforward domain provider. But if you're looking for more options and better value for your money, you might want to look elsewhere.

Hover Hover Review: A Bumpy Ride with Billing Issues and Poor Customer Service

Got myself a domain name and a small email box from Hover. But let me tell you, it was a bumpy ride! I had a heck of a time getting that email box to work with my Gmail account. I even tried using a business account, but no dice. Finally, Juanita came to the rescue and got it working just fine.

But the next day, when I tried to log in, I got an error message saying my account was "invalid". I received an email from Hover saying they had wrongfully established my account and cancelled it. I called in to find out what was going on, and the representative told me my account had been improperly created. He tried to create a new account for me, but it just wouldn't work. He said it would take about a day to sort out.

The next day came and went, and still nothing. Meanwhile, I noticed that my PayPal account had been billed twice for over $33 for the initial account. I called PayPal to dispute the charges, and they locked my account because of the unauthorized payment.

But that's not all. Just two days later, I received an email from PayPal saying there was ANOTHER billing on 11/19! How could this be, when my account was locked? I tried emailing back and forth with the Hover managers, but they just didn't seem to understand the problem caused by their PayPal transactions.

In the end, I had to refer the matter to the FBI IC3. It was a real headache, and I wouldn't recommend Hover to anyone.

Hover Unacceptable Service and Lack of Communication from Hover Domain Registrar

Hover, man, let me tell you, they got some serious issues. Like, I used to be with Enom, and then they changed their name to Hover, but I didn't even know because their emails were going straight to my spam folder. And then, when they finally transferred everything over, they didn't even transfer my payment info! Can you believe that? And they didn't even bother to call me or anything to let me know that my domain was gonna go into redemption because of their mistake.

So now, I gotta pay $250 US dollars, and they won't even reimburse me for it. Like, come on, guys, you gotta stand by your "auto renew" feature. It's not my fault that it didn't work because of your own actions.

And don't even get me started on the customer service. I talked to this lady named Lei, and when I asked to speak to someone in management, she put me on hold for like 15 minutes and then told me that nobody could talk to me right now. And then she said they would email me to confirm a phone call later, but guess what? I still haven't heard from them.

Honestly, Hover needs to wake up and get their act together. This kind of service is just unacceptable.
