Taking initiative before the trigger of feeling completely prepared can contribute towards personal growth by creating speed and trust. It helps people break their comfort zones, practice each and every movement and adjust in between. This way people are able to convert a sense of being stagnant into one of being able and hopeful my making the previously seamed insurmountable things manageable and making the harshest tasks seem attainable.
"The pain of feeling stuck is always worse than the pain of taking action."
I love that quote..."You don't need to know every step...just the next one." Very powerful statement.
You have just helped a suicidal person get momentum when she had none to talk to. I hope this warmth returns to you too, Laurie. You made me fall in love with you in a short amount of time.
"Every day you stay in place, is a day you're further away from living the life you really want." That's a powerful statement.
"Clarity doesn't come from waiting...it comes from doing." I really gravitate to this...thank you
Clarity doesn't come from waiting, it comes from doing! Thank you Laurie!
You don’t have to be great to get started, but you have to start, in order to be great
Start even if you are not ready ... I WILL I spent all my life getting ready for things I couldn't even start. Being a perfectionnist is hard. I didn't take any step before too much planning. If something was missing, I ended up canceling my goal. I didn't live in the past & I didn't live in the present ... I was always in the future. 2025 will be different. My happiness will be my goal. I will learn to be braver and to challenge new things without too much overthinking. I will balance between work and fun because all my life was centered around studies and work. I was always ranked first in everything I did but it didn't bring me joy. I want more balance and I want to do what I love. I will start a new journey without thinking about the outcome. Thank you for this inspiring content
You are so right when you say that we should just start before we are ready. Magical things will happen! That’s what I recently did with my channel. I just started, and I noticed as I go along, I learn a little something almost every time I record and upload it. Thank you so much for sharing all of his wisdom. Have a great day!
the "clarity by doing" comment was eye opening. I'm sure there's some neurological explanation to it, but put simply, nothing beats experience. And your comment on not knowing what the next step is, if you haven't read Michael Crichton's "Travels" (non fiction), I recommend it> He relates to climbing the Kilimanjaro. Basically you can't see the top from the starting point, but as long as your putting one step above the last step, you will end up at the top! Thank you for such clarity.
I started in August and it is as though scales fell off my eyes. So much is happening and I’ve evolved a lot in just the three months. Don’t wait on whatever it is people. ❤
"Clarity comes from doing, not waiting".
Beautifully put.
"You don't need to know every step; just the next one" Awesome!
You don’t need your know every step, just the next one.. such a wise statement! Thank you for this great advice. So true ! We need to learn to enjoy the journey of like every step of the way.
I love the " begin before you're ready" statement. This has come up a couple times for me recently; I'm taking it as a sign. Time to begin! Thank you Laurie. Blessings everyone.
This resonates so well for me. Been hesitant to publish my stories for years because I always think I ain't good enough yet.
Then one day, a few months ago, i thought "F-k it" because i will never be good enough, but if i start, i will get better. That is how stuff works.
We get better at what we practise. Even if i dont even have 10 people reading, it is still worth it.
For me.
Wow.. I am taking at least two sentences I wrote down while reading.. "Clarity doesn't come from waiting, it comes from doing" and "You don't need to know each step, only the next one." Thank you, very motivating. You got a gift to catch people attention and provide much more that they expected at the beginning.. Staying for longer to explore more of your content.
This is about to change my life, I’m going for it guys!
Thank you Laurie =) Your content helped me to take a step back and rethink about my actions. I really changed my live couple of years ago and I'm now in the change process. I really try to live more in the now, let go of the past and trust in future. I also just do things I like and I get energy and an meaning from. So I quit my job about one year ago and now I really TRY things instead of thinking about them. "Clarity does not come from waiting, it comes from actions" I really liked that one :)
I launched my business today and really needed to see this!
My problem mostly is, I don't know what the next step should be
