This website is a joke. I signed up for a trial for a dollar, I used the website one time and one time only because it was not what we were looking for. we bought a home.. anyways weeks later my account was billed 39.80 . I called the 800 number wow what a joke that was. hung up on by debra, other guy i called plain out just rude did not care tried to make you feel like you were stupid. Plain out told me they do not do refunds. I am just shocked I see things all over google about people that have went through the same thing. usually a REAL company will not hesitate to make a customer happy with there experience even if somehow they did something wrong, even though I feel like we did not.. but they just plain out scam people and dont offer to make things right.. i hope this will help people see the true colors OF HUDFORCLOSED>COM

continuing to charge bank account
When I phoned to try to cancel my account, I am given bogus information and when I do put in my name, email and phone number, I am told the info is wrong and yet they (hudforeclosed)
continue to debit my checking account for the past 13 months, at 39.40 each month.
They don't have correct info on me to cancel my account, but they certainly have the info to take money from my checking account each.
This is definitely a scam. Oh, I thought one day since I am paying on this every month, I might go ahead and use it. No luck! Seems I don't have the correct password, but of course they will send it right? Wrong! I am told the password will be sent to my email shortly. Shortly has come and gone so many times and I still have no password
can you help?
Out of options
Thank you so much

fraud!
Richard,
Just reading your message today.
Sorry our CSRs were rude and did not handle your concerns.
I know it's a bit belated, but I just issued a full refund to you.
Best,
Greg
Unfortunately, I just ran into this complaints today.
I immediately looked up Connie Tinker in our database, to find that there indeed WAS an account to that name.
However, that account was never billed - it declined our first billing.
This puzzled me, and with the help of our CSR manager I did some research.
Turns out the Tinkers had 2 accounts. This account was NOT billing, her husband's account WAS.
And thus, of course Connie's credentials were not working!
I just got a hold of Mr. Tinker on the phone.
We're issuing a full refund to his account, and we're hoping this will handle their concerns.
I only wish we had figured out the problem sooner.
We do have a Toll-Free cancellation number posted on our site (contact us > "How do I cancel").
It's just that this '2-account' issue stumped us as much as it did the customer.

I authorized a $2.95 fee to be withdrawn from my credit card which they withdrew, but they also have made many hits on my credit card to withdraw $39.80 which was not authorized at all. I never received the password I was supposed to get for my trial $2.95 membership in order to view their web site to look for foreclosed properties in my area for a limited time. I even emailed them on two occasions requesting the password I needed to login to view foreclosed properties in my area, but I never have received a reply. They have hit my credit card every other day trying to withdraw $39.80 even though I have never authorized them to do so. Whey would I at this point when they never have kept their word and sent me the information I paid $2.95 for (a trial membership).

Hello Roxann,
I am sorry to hear you had a negative experience at our site.
We actually do stand behind our products and it is our intention to provide a valuable service - sorry that we did not achieve that so far in your case.
It seems that the problem is that our administrative emails never reached you. This happens occasionally and the most likely cause is that they accidentally went to your SPAM folder.
The good news is that this situation can easily be rectified.
Would you please get in touch with us via email (through the contact form on our website) or by calling our 800 line?
The information you'll need is your phone number and email. The phone number you'll need is the one that ends in ...4 and the email account you used is your yahoo account. Please send us an email on how to best reach you, and we'll ensure this is resolved to your satisfaction.
Sincerely,
Chris Jenkins

After I logged on to their web site, I selected a ONE month membership because I had one client that was interested in a foreclosed home. I selected one month because I knew this was a short term deal from a single client. The membership was for 7 days free and then for one month. However, I was again charged Dec 2008 to Jan 2009, and Jan to Feb 2009. I wa...

I never authorized charges to my account. They do not provide a phone number to get this cancelled. I am being billed 39.80 per month and want it stopped
Dear K. Kelley,
I am sorry I just became aware of this board today. I would have like to have addressed your concerns earlier.
Our cancellation process is actually quite simple.
1) If you go to our site's main page, you will see a "cancel account" link at the bottom. You can use that link to cancel.
2) Also on our home page, you will find a "contact us" link. By following that link you'll find our contact information, along with a link for "how do I cancel my account" - you can also use that link to cancel.
3) You can call our 800 number, as listed in our Frequently Asked Questions: [protected]
Feel free to contact us any time to voice any concerns you might have about our service. We truly do want satisfied customers.
Sincerely,
Chris Jenkins

You can remove your account via their website. Go to hudforeclosed.com (or .net ) and look at the footer of the page for " Cancel Account ". You will need your email address and phone number you signed up. For those that didn't explicitly sign up (which wasn't my case), I posted the number I found below. Cancellation process was quick and easy actually and I received an email confirmation. Physical proof it nice...
Alternately, in their FAQ if you are logged in (reposting for those not able to login). The important bit is the phone number - [protected] which is seemingly not published anywhere.
How do I cancel my subscription?
• Login to the site with your User ID (your email address) and Password (your 10-digit phone number).
• Click on the “My Account” tab at the top of the page.
• Scroll down to the Member Information section and click the “Cancel“ link next to Membership Status.
• Click the Cancel Membership button to complete the process.
You will receive a confirmation number displayed on the page. If you do not receive a confirmation number then your subscription has not been canceled. We will also follow up with an email confirmation. You can also cancel by phone, by calling us toll free at [protected]. Close
Hope that helps someone.
I am suffering the same. I am looking into how to get it stopped.
I believe this is a service that I thought was a free trial advertised on the radio. I still hear the damn ads. I suppose enough suckers like me sign up and get sucked in that they can afford to keep buying radio spots. yuck.
took money from account without authorization
www.hudforeclosed.com and www.hudforeclosed.net are the same company and if you quit one the other one will bill you so you can't
get out of the cycle of being billed. So if you buy a 7 day agreement and don't cancel your credit card, your keep on paying even if they give you
a confirmation #. I reported them to my Credit Card company and
it looks like I get a new number and the Fraudulent Department is
looking into the bill because the charge changed names from .com to
.net. What a crooked bunch of so and sos', you think
On Monday, September 11, 2023 at 8:59pm there was a charge to my bank account for $49.60. I did not approve this transaction, nor receive any services. This must be corrected, and I should be fully reimbursed. This is unacceptable. Please rectify this as soon as possible. I didn't buy anything, I want my money back.
This company Hudforeclosed charge my account 49.00 and then another fee of 1.00 .I didn't order this product . My bank of America account is looking into it. On May 5th 2023 is the day they charged my account. I want my money back and the cancel anything they have me signed up for
I only signed up for 1 dollar, and now they charged me 49.60 dollars out of nowhere—totally scam website. The owner from the CA should be behind the bar.
I tried their web site as a trial and it's just another one of those that steal money if you forget to cancel. I am on social security and was in the middle of moving to an area without good phone service and no internet.
They keep taking out $49.00 every month and I never applied for it
Don't sign up for a membership. The only way to cancel your membership is to call [protected]. They'll put you on hold for 30+ minutes and still won't be able to talk to anyone. Go figure
Sept. 19, 2019
As today i want to stop my subscription within your company, and you are no longer authaurize to withdwral money from my bank account anymore.
Your company is about getting people's money, not to helping them to buy a house.
I am going to call my bank to stop any further attempt in your part to get my money.
Thank you,
These people are criminals and will add thing to your account that they say are free and then charge your credit card every week. Stay away from this scam company. I am out almost $100 for less than 30 days of nothing. Watch out what you sign with the unscrupulous people/company. I would like a full refund or I will not be happy.
I dont want this crappy website and cancelled it before the trial period. They charged me 49.60 and havent reversed it. Horrible cust serv sucks. During the trial period, I got nothing useful to my prerences and cancelled. My 49.60 was taken out of my acct and caused bounced checks. NOT COOL. I want my money back...
I canceled this service back before the trial period ran out and I just noticed that they have been charging me close to 50 bucks a month
I hope discover will help me reverse charges
terrible

After signing on trial day on the 6th day call the 800 numbers the leaved a message to cancel my membership. I was surprised when I received my amex statement on 16th of sep. i'm still charged $39.80 and also charged for a book that I didn't order with the amount of $ 29.95.
This website is a scam...many houses on the site are not Hud foreclosed. They are on the MLS site as regular houses for sale with the same exact pictures...Don't fall for this false advertisement, SCAM...they'll steal your money !
According to our records, Nestor joined our site on 2009-08-26 at 10:16 AM, and cancelled his account on 2009-09-17 at 2:08 PM (nearly a month later).
His account was cancelled as requested.
We do not feel there's any valid reason for a refund, since the customer was aware of our terms of use and kept our service for nearly a full month.
I spoke to Richard today (I just found his complaint on this board today) and issued him a refund.
I believe his concerns are now resolved.
Sincerely,
Chris Jenkins
