I closed on my house late and went to the bank and it was closed. I was leaving the following morning on vacation so I had no choice but to deposit my check in the Huntigton Atm right at the bank drive through. When I got on my vacation I was locked out of my account. After several phone calls and receiving different information from everyone I spoke with, I was told they had closed my account due to me being a risk for depositing a large check in their Atm. I was on vacation with no access to funds. I cancelled the remainder of my vacation and came back and physically walked into the bank and was told that they have the same information I had received on the 1-800 # and could not assist me, that I should just wait for a check to arrive in the mail. My lawyer called the title company in which the check was from and was told they could not cancel the check because Huntington already cleared the check and had the funds. 2 weeks later and 30 phone calls later, I was told that my account was closed and they would be sending me a check for my funds in the mail. So I am being punished and left in dire straits with no access to my own money for putting a title company check in their atm, yet now they are trusting all of my funds to come to me in the mail. Today which is almost 3 weeks later I was told after being put on hold for a half hour, that that info was incorrect and that only under $500 could go through the mail and I should call back in 30 days to check on the status of my funds. This should be illegal. This is my money that I can not access. I can't pay bills or do anything and all I receive is misinformation from call center workers in another country. Avoid this Bank like the Plague!
Desired outcome: I want my money!!!!!
