wrong charges on credit card
I have tried all I could but could not raise a relevant request to my query. The process to raise a complaint or service request(as ICICI likes to call everything) is complex. None of the options available match easily and if they match then sufficient details are not taken from customer
I have been fradulently charged INR449.44 by ICICI Bank Credit card department for no mistake of mine on 2nd April as a late payment fee for Jan 2013.
My ICICI Bank account shows that INR3168.54 was deducted on 10th Feb but the transaction was not reflected on ICICI Bank credit card until 14th Feb as ICICI bank systems were under upgrade. This is clearly a system problem and not a customer problem. I spoke to phone banking officer and he promised that the charges will be reversed but the charge has not been reversed yet.
I am not sure how people continue to bank with ICICI. I would never advise anybody to open an account as this bank is always ready to defraud customer the moment customer drops his hat.

I have received a call from one of a telecaller who has requested me to apply for a ICICI Credit Card. Since I was having a requirement of my 2nd Credit Card, so I have agreed to his proposal and also requested the concerned to send somebody to get the documents collected from my office. I have also verbally confirmed about the benefits, terms and conditions of holding the said card.

Mr. Rocky Saha bearing Mobile No- [protected] has visited my office and verified all my original documents with the photocopies required to fulfill the criteria of holding your bank's card.
At no time I have provided him the photocopies of the following documents-
1) 1 Passport Size Photo
2) PAN Card photocopy
3) Voter's ID Card Photocopy
4) Last 3 Months Salary Slip
5) Last 3 months bank statement of my Salary Account
6) Office ID Card Photocopy
7) Front side photocopy of my existing SBI Credit Card
He has filled the application form in front of me and also asked to get them signed in the required field. I have also kept a photocopy of the filled form for future reference.
Before leaving he has assured me that I will receive the Credit Card within 10 days of post positive verification.

The verification against the applied card has happened at my office and as well as in my residence. The concern person has met me in the office and my father was met at the residence on the same day as I was in office. They have also called up in my office landline number to verify my presence.

Post the required verification from your bank, I have received a sms stating "Dear Customer, your ICICI Bank HPCL Platinum Chip Credit Card has been sent through BLUE DART Courier, AWB43512761154 on your registered mailing address.

I was not having any communication regarding the delivery status of the consignment, so I have tried to check the same online and absolutely astonished. The status of the delivery on 15th Mar '13 was "Consignee not found at the mailing address", and I was not having any update on the same, earlier.
At no time I have called up the Blue Dart helpline number [protected] to know this in details. The lady who has attended the call, instead of assisting, she has charged me with all irrelevant questions. I convince her to take another request for the delivery. Finally she has informed that there will be a second delivery which will happen on 19th Mar '13 at my office address within 2pm to 4pm.

When nobody has turned up, I again called up at [protected], and got a verbal confirmation that my office address could not be found/traced and thus the delivery could not happen. I have confirmed them that I have been in the present organisation for 4 Years 3 Months and I work in the same address since then, however, instead of listening to me, they were continuously accusing me as if I am a defaulter in your bank. I have finally requested them to get the same delivered to my residence address. After few hours I have received a call from the delivery supervisor and got another shocking comment that my residence address is also incorrect. I have got the address confirmed from them and got the exact address as to where I stay. I could not control my sentiment at that point of time, because I have got all my correspondence in the same address and I have been staying here since birth then why are they denying to send the consignment there. Most surprisingly, the delivery supervisor has also taken the security supervisor in conference without my notice who has threatened me that he will ensure that I should not receive any Credit Card from ICICI Bank. Everytime they have charged me as if I have done the greatest mistake of my life in applying a Credit Card of your company. Finally I have disconnect the call and thought of getting the issue raised to you.

What happened to your case Prasun ? I have also applied an ICICI Bank Card and received the SMS from Blue Dart that the card was shipped to my address. However if I would have read your post first I would have never applied for ICICI Credit Card...
Same Problem arises with First Flight courier to me from Gachibowli branch phone no: 040 [protected]. But the number is switched off. CITI Bank credit card issued through Blue Dart and it was delivered to me promptly.
again CITI BANK issued PIN number through FIRST FLIGHT Courier.
No Person called to me or No one came to me for delivery. When i checked status of courier through online it was not shown.
after 1 day, i rechecked through online and the status is "NO SUCH PERSON AVILABLE". Immediately i called to the Begumpet branch. they said that the courier was sent back to HUB and provided the HUB number 040 [protected]. i make a call to that number and one lifted phone and given another number 040 [protected] and called to that number. One lady picked call and said that the courier was sent back yesterday. and given the Gachibowli branch number 040 [protected]. i tried to call to that number. but number switched off at 3PM Friday.

I got coral credit card from ICICI bank, When they have provide me card, then their Representative told me I should pay 500 for joining fee and 500 annual charge becuase your company(in which I am working) in A catogary and i will get 3000 gift from ICICI . When I started use card, And i got first month bill, which have 1000 joining fee. for this issue I called to ICICI customer care, believe me ICICI customer care service is one of the worth service in india. they log my complaint, and told me they will call back me for my issue. But you believe me from last 2 month I have still not received any call from ICICI bank. I tried many times to ICICI customer care but they didn't my call and after 10 minutes my call is automatically dropped. Now they are sending me continue bill . I have told to them I can pay only bill, which I have used, but they are sending bill every month. with interest whenever my card is blocked from last 2 month. manager compelled to take an insurance/mutual fund (showing it as rd) to own a locker : cheating/misleading

My mother approached ICICI bank to get a locker. They insisted to open an account and she did. She also deposited the required money for the Locker fee. And some amount to the account.
But Inspite of that the Bank manager insisted that she should take an Recurring Deposit (with recurring payment of 50000 Rs). And only then My mom would be able to get the locker facility.
So My mom thought it was necessary to take the Recurring payment and So she said she would take the RD to the manager.
But This manager has made her to sign documents for "ICICI Prudential Life Insurance" Guaranteed saving insurance plan. Without explaining her that this was an insurance and not a Recurring Deposit. He made her sign with false statements. The key part is she thinks this is an RD until we noticed no RD account created even after 6 months and that we received the Insurance Documents.
Please help us with this regard. We do not want to pay any insurance now and We have been mislead/cheated.
Please help or I am planning to take legal assistance.

Since last more than six months I am not receiving the monthly statement from the icici bank credit card and tthe last time I received the statement on last day of payment I e on 22nd/feb /2013 than they charged late payment fee. Dear Sirs I purchased a life insurance policy through icici bank Mumbai, Fort Branch when I visited india in February 201. The bank debited my account with 50000.00 Rupees and raised a draft in favour of ICICI Prudential Life insurance To date I have not received any policy documents. When I wanted to complain about this they would ask for an eight digit Policy number. The bank supplied this to me yesterday and when I gave the same to ICICI Prudential they could not recognise it. I was also recently coned into applying for another life insurance policy in January of this year for which I paid a Cheque of Rupees 100100.00 again no surprise as I have not yet received any policy documents.

I think that there is fraudulent activity taking place at the bank and the insurance co. because I purchased the insurance policies in my name but they have written the policies in the name of somebody in india whom I dont even know. As I have living in the UK for more than 40 years and I have no relatives in India so why would i pay for the life insurance of somebody I dont even know.

I think fraud has been committed at ICICI Bank in collusion with Icici Prudential because when I purchased the policies from icici bank my account was debited and the policies have been written in the name of somebody unknown to me. with Indian address. This information I got from one of the customer service officer at ICICI Prudential Life . I have lived in the UK for over 40 years and I have no relatives in India so why would take out a policy in favour of somebody I dont even know. As you know that I am not a charitable org. 1) Harassment for getting information for account related issues (inward remittance) by way of using RBI verbally and refusal to put the same on via email.
2) Outright denial of information with regards to preferential rates for my remittances, when asked to put the same on mail, i was told query has been forwarded
to concerned department, no word on the same yet.
3) Witholding remittance until the information was given and refusal to put on mail why the same was asked for. Repeatedly saying RBI has taken your account under scrutiny but not putting the same on mail by both Ms Jaya Kachhwaha and Mr Ravi Chandra
4) Constant calls and emails for marketing and promotional information, even though i have specifically asked not to be called for anything apart from account related issues and i am also registered with the Vodafone DND. Yet when there was a problem with my cheque issued for my insurance no call was made and had i not visited the branch for the same i would have lost my insurance.
5) At the time of account opening i had clarified and was informed that no charges whatsoever will be levied on my account for the remittances and yet i am continually charged.
6) At the time of account opening i was forced to agree to maintaining a balance of Rs. 50, 000/- to which i flatly refused as this is a savings account.
7) At the time of account opening i was informed that the Debit card is F.O.C. and if i opted for a credit card i would be charged annual fees. I have a debit card and i am being charged annual fees for the same.
8) Absolute refusal to put any of the information that i have been given on mail by Ms Jaya Kachhwaha and Mr Ravi Chandra and the person who aided in the account opening.
9) I had asked for information by way of mail from Ms Jaya Kachhwaha on whom i can take my issues to next, my mail was ignored and i was not provided with the information. I had to go to the bank and take a picture of the information on who to contact next in case of unsatisfactory resolution.
10) Further to this i have addressed their customer care a Ms. Preshetha Unmesh, who keeps going round and round and assuring me of a resolution, but none is forthcoming. After whom a Ms Rajni Nair took up the case, who is an absolute champ at making excuses for the Branch officials behaviour and asking for 3 more days please, 3 more days please. Again on asking for who to take my complaint to next so that I can get a resolution instead of a run around, no answer. She outright ignored the mail. KYC is useless, they call me by my dad's name and call me MR. Just how much more can they show their ignorance. This is AFTER correcting them twice!
11) I was asked to close my account and told to go elsewhere by Ms Nivedita Suvarana, who called herself Branch Manager a few years ago.
Their so called Branch Managers and CServ Cluster Branch Manager Mr. Anand Ganediwal know nothing but intimidation and how to speak nonsense and yell at the client. He calls me for a meeting post banking hours, even though I clearly mentioned that I can come during banking hours, to which his response is I have other things to do, I am very busy. Even though I specifically requested that henceforth all communication should be via email so that I have proof of what they are saying to me, he calls and yells and asks me to drop the complaint. “Aap ko samaj nai aata? Ek baar bola toh drop the complaint!” I am not going to drop the complaint.
It is supposed to be protocol that when these people take ANY documentation from you that you are to receive a copy of the same, dated, signed and stamped by the Bank official. Yet when I asked for the same, I was told “Oh, YOU want a copy? Is it?”
This is an ongoing issue and i am being harassed for no reason, even after providing information.
There is not one person that i have come across who can actually read and explain a SWIFT copy and its charges ... I tried calling Mr. Anand Wasker on 022 [protected] for 3 days continuously and got no answer. So i went on to the next step of meeting with Mr. Shiva Kumar Tadikonda as per the address below and the intimation by the Ombudsman. However, when i reached the BKC office i was kept waiting outside for almost 45 mins before a security pass was issued so that i could go in and register my complaint (Please note: A day prior to my visit for lodging a complaint with the BKC office i called - 022-[protected] which is routed to Hyderabad and i spoke with a Ms. Sandhya, who said please give us one more chance and someone will get back to you. I gave her one more day and NOTHING. I had called to ask about the BKC office timings. She did tell me 10-5, but she did not inform me that a prior appointment is necessary so that the security at the gate is informed with your name and time of arrival and you are duly issued a security pass for your visit.). I carried 2 copies of everything and had them receive and sign for it. – Ms Nessie and Ms Diana
Then too i was met by a Ms Nessie Athaide and Ms Diana Abey who assured me that they were meeting with me in lieu of Mr. Tadikonda. I was assured by Ms. Abey that i would recieve the minutes of the meeting, but i did not. After repeated calls to Ms Athaide, she says sorry that it was conveyed to you, and she did not mail me the minutes of the meeting. Again I was assured of 1 week, but nothing. I am looking to meet with Mr Tadikonda. Ms Nessie only informed me that the senior official is on leave for a week via phone, not mail. But who is this person, I do not know.
How do I meet with Mr. Tadikonda?
I could go on and on about their ineptitude and I have 43 pages of mail which have gone back and forth since September 2012, and similar harassment in the year prior. This time I am taking it up and I do not intend to let it go until i get a resolution.

I have gone through a lot of trouble to finally get the meeting with Mr. Tadikonda and there has been no follow up or no desire shown to address the issues Again in the meeting Mr. Tadikonda, Mr Wasekar and Ms Diana all who were present had lots to say, but when it comes to action they are outright zero. There is no resolution power. Is there anyone who is capable of taking a decision? DIfferent branches of ICICI give different information for the same thing. When it comes to putting on mail what waws discussed, they do not know how to do so apparently. I had to mail them a sample of a minutes of the meeting format so that they know what it looks like and how to mail someone the minutes of a meeting. All thier staff that i had the misfortune to interact with only know how to behave badly and harass someone, especially if you ask them to stop harassing and repeatedly calling to DROP the complaint!
Please note anyone else who is facing issues with ICICI, when you do go for the meeting, please take an unbiased third party with you and insist on minutes of the meeting - no matter at what level you approach, but if possible hire someone to take the minutes of the meeting real time. Right up to the nodal officer Mr. Tadikonda, Regional Person Mr. Anand Wasker, say something during the meeting and then outright deny that they said that during the meeting. This is the classic scene with all ICICI people that i have come across during my interactions pertaining to the concerns and issues raise by me. The minutes of the meeting are sent heavily edited and by thier person who will not include all points discussed, but only what works in thier favour. Mr. Wasker speaks on behalf of Mr. Tadikonda, and outright denies saying things which he was very vocal about during the meeting, including informing me that someone similar had come from Delhi with some housing loan issue and "He (Mr. Tadikonda) told him to take a walk." I dont know if he meant to say the same to me in a round about manner, but if so then i would like it on mail, which i have repeatedly and consisitently told them, via email and in person, but on some level i dont think they process this information. There is no revert of any kind from Mr. Tadikonda at all. The officials at ICICI are very fond of saying äap ke paas proof kya hai ke hamne yeh bola tha, at least the ones i have had the misfortune to come across, and at the managerial level i have come across 6 such persons. Have everything on mail, thats the only proof. Even the nodal officer Mr. Tadikonda goes back on what he says and has Mr. Wasker speak and mail on his behalf. I will be filing the complaint with the Ombudsman as well and i INSIST that the records of Mr. Anand Ganediwals call to me be procured along with the transcripts and heard. It will show them exactly what the calibre of the person is and how they speak with the client. Apparently on asking the Mr. Tadikonda to get the same and listen to it, Mr. Wasker who "speaks"on Mr. Tadikonda's behalf says they made it clear that they will take my word for it, BUT on things they said during the meeting, now they turn around and say they have not said it.
ICICI Bank customer service team, please excuse from giving some mundane run of the mill revert. Are you capable of proving a resolution? Then do so.

icici bank exchange rates
ICICI Bank seems to be taking advantage of its long-standing customers. I have had accounts with them over 12 years, and recently have noticed that they are taking undue advantage at customer's expense.
In both cases below, I understand they are a business and need to make money and I don't have a problem if they take advantage of the spread in exchange rates or wait for the best intra-day rate in order to convert USD to INR and vice-versa. However, I do have a problem if they take undue advantage by having a large margin above and beyond the highest and lowest exchange rates.
1. Money2India transfer service: They indicate that the E-Transfer service takes about 5 working days. However, I've sent out 2 e-transfers 1 week apart, and they both arrive on the same day, about 5 working days after the second one was scheduled. This is plain and simple taking advantage of the lowest rate with disregard to the customer who's waiting for their money.
2. NRE account repatriation: This is a bigger scam than the Money2India as well. In their defense, the online system is great and the money or Demand Draft is sent out within 12-14 hours. However, they seem to use an exchange rate that differs by more than 1 Rupee from the highest mid-market rate. I noticed it with 1 transfer, then did a second transfer a month later and saw the same pattern. I then sent them an email requesting an explanation but have not heard back (as expected). To prove my point, attached are 2 screenshots showing the same.

[b] On the same day, Money2India.com "indicative" exchange rate was Rs 52.58
The rate they used for my transfer was Rs. 54.3 i.e. 1 Rupee more than the highest mid-market rate for that day.
Now, I realize that the xe.com highest midmarket rate is going to be a little off from the highest "buy" rate for the day, and also that there is a difference between "buy" and "sell" rates. I also realize that ICICI bank needs to make money. What I don't get is why there is such a LARGE difference between the published rates and what ICICI uses. This seems like a classic example of them taking advantage of NRI customers who generally don't review the rate in detail and compare it with the market rates prevalent for that day.
And don't even get me started on their customer service and how quickly they respond (first initial "standard template" response is that we will get back to you in "5 business days"). If they screw something up, then they just start ignoring your emails. :)
To wrap up, I am generally a satisfied ICICI bank customer for 12+ years, and have recommended them to many friends and family. Last 3 months, I am finally getting disgruntled at their service and at the realization that I am being taken advantage of.

I have initiated repatriation of money from NRE account. I am reading horror stories here where ICICI has charged excessive rate during repatriation than the market rate and people have lost considerable money in this transaction. I am really concerned. I will post my results.
I am the next victim of ICICI money repatriation cheating. I am an ICICI customer since last 11 years. This time I wanted to bring 20 lakhs rupees to Australia in AUD. Before using the repatriation facility for such a big amount I though of transferring only 10, 000 rs. And to my surprise, ICICI gave me only 185.02 AUD which is at the rate of 54 rs for each dollars, whereas the actual exchange rate is 49.23 rs. I lost almost 5 rs every dollar I transferred.
Called up customer care and they did no do anything about it. I request everyone to refrain from using this facility with ICICI. I have also decided to move to another bank.
I was planning to bring my Indian Rupee from my ICICI NRi account to AUD. Glad I checked the review online. Thanks for providing the information. Now I will have to find some other means to get the money in Australia.
This hasn't changed at all. I repatriated money yesterday. ICICI has charged Rs 2.5 over the xe.com rate. For the money I repatriated, that was equal to nearly 50, 000 Rs lost to Icici hidden charges!

I have paid the amount Rs.27123 through SBI bank cheque no. 749609 on 13 jan 2013. as per latest information from you stating that you have collected Rs. 1581 as interest charges and rs.408 as late payment fee and service charges of rs.195 collected on [protected] and one more service charges of rs.50 collected on [protected]. since these 10 yrs i was very punctual in paying the bill amount. so i request you to remove the interest charges, late payment fee charges otherwise I am forced to discontinue the usage of this credit card anymore. icici mobile number update
Hi,
I would like to bring to your kind attension about the pathetic operations at ICICI Bank. I have an ICICI savings account in Monunt road branch, Chennai, Tamilnadu. I came to Canada on a professional assignment.
My mobile number (India) registered with ICICI is currently not in use and there is no means for me to receive the URN or OTP! It is quite strange to learn that, the phone banking officer says URN through phone when we provide the account number, PIN, security password and other details to authenticate myself.
But, the same does not hold good for URN to confirm a payee! I was asked to send a postal courier to ICICI bank requesting the change in mobile number with proof of identity (Hard Copies). The entire process can take upto 3- 4 weeks.
Spoke with N Number of phone banking officers and all they could say is sorry for not being able to provide URN/ confirm payee even after I authenticate myself with all the necessary details. What is the point of having phone banking service, when you cannot provide a simple service to confirm a payee?
I was totally fed up of this irrational process and the customer service officers were not giving answers to the questions as they are not even trainned to give valid reasons.
One time icici site open-up change personal detail screen. Then I did update my canada mobile number on icici site. But for URN still the old india mobile number is showing
ICICI should either provide a feature to change the mobile number online or improve their phone banking services to help us better.
I want to transfer my money to my family immediately. Please some responsible people contact me immediately to my email ([protected]@hotmail.com) or mobile or I may take other possible measure.

With collecting relevant documents he has given well -come kit. This is the account No: [protected]. The DCA Mr. Gopi assured he will activate my account 3 business days.
The next DCA Mr Gopi called and asked for my PAN No, Native Pin code No. I had given both information on the same day.
I dropped my salary check after 6 working days. After 10th working day i checked for my money in the account with internet banking. It was showing zero balance. Then i contacted the Phone Banking. I received the SR34527044 on 15-08-2007. Then the Phone banking executive mentioned there is problem in your account opening it self, We will resolve within 3 business days.
Today i fortunately get to speak with speak with Mr Pradeep salaried manager Velchary Branch Chennai. He speaks as if he is favoring me and mentions he don't have any knowledge and he will get back to me tomorrow.
Again few minutes back Mr. Vijay from ICIC has called up saying that my account opening form has been tore up. I need fill new form for the same. I really don’t understand what is going with ICIC bank.
The check has been credited from my employer and ICIC is enjoying the money and playing games with me. Please help me how do I approach to legal case against ICIC bank.

Yes, I completely agree on the issue here. I also faced the same issue with ICICI Bank.
To reach to customer care you need to know 12 Digit account number + 4 digit last debit/credit card number + 4 digit ATM PIN
After this long process customer care person will suck you. He will ask you aroung 20-30 questions Like Full Name, Mother Name, email_id, pan number, register email id, address, all the details related to you or your account. In between call will disconnect or If you don't remember any of these they have excuse "Sorry we cannot help you if you will not provide us details"
To get the OTP I need to call them 4 times and after all these process lady again transfer to OTP person he again asked all these question which really not helpfull. For fraud access knowing OTP will not help unless you have login_id, password, Internet password, Debit card, Grid details. Not sure if this is to help online system worse.

I had secured a loan of about 1 Lakh in 2008 and paid back in total about 1lakh 42 thousand against loan and interest. Now in Jan 2013 ICICI bank alleges that there were bounce charges accrued for a pending installment for last several years and harasses my relatives for payment of the bounce charges and pending amount of about another 30, 000. The payment is being cleared out now because I do not want to get into any more mental agony. But I would like to fight till the end to Sue and file a law suit against ICICI bank with the help of a Government agency to pull all the records from last several years where ICICI bank has been collecting those several 100s of criers fo rupees though these illegitimate and tricking practices of over draft fees or bouncing charges. I would like to bring justice to all those who are victims of thisractice from ICICI. I seek help of a right consumer protection agency to take this forward. Please help.

I applied for a NRE account in October. The officer who coordinated told me to send all the documents by scan so that it can be verified.
After his satisfaction, I agreed to send the documents and a cheque of 250 by post. The same was sent by me from my residence in Brussels and received in Mumbai office.
For address proof I had provided the rental agreement and rental receipts. I had also provided a copy of my resident card in Brussels which is the visa. However it was due to expire.
I had sent a bank cheque of 250 Euros from my bank account in Brussels, Belgium.
I was later told that the rental agreement and the resident card are not proper. I had got the renewed resident card by then so I sent it by scan to them.
But the officer insisted that the documents are not proper. As I had no other choice I requested to cancel my application and send my documents and the cheque of 250 Euros to me.
Upon my request I got an email stating the same things that my application is pending due to the invalidity of the above said documents. I again requested them to return my documents and
cheque and cancel my application. As a response I got the same email.
Frustrated I called the NRI customer care but they told me that they can not do anything and asked me to send an email.
I have been stuck in an infinite loop since them. I send the mail to cancel my application and send my documents and cheque to me and I get an email that my applicaiton is pending due to
invalidity of my documents. I clearly see that the mail has been sent by an officer and are not automated but I wonder if they read my mails.
I call customer care only to be told that they can not do anything and I have to send a mail.
It has been more than a month that I requested cancellation of my application and return of my cheque. I clearly see that amount of 250 Euros has been deducted from my BELGIAN account.
It has been causing mental harassment to me and resulting in loss of time and mental peace.

I have been banking with ICICI bank since 2001, having my NRE Account ( [protected] ), NRO ( [protected] ).
In the year 2009, when I approached ICICI Bank for opening DEMAT ACCOUNT, I was suggested to open SB Account, instead of linking DEMAT Account with NRE/NRO. The bank also took me the Voter ID, as the proof of residency, as my Passport copy was being used against NRO.
I had NRE FD and RD, along with few MUTUAL FUND investments.
I reported this to ICICI Bank BUND GARDEN branch (Pune) and requested for the change of bank account numbers for these Mutual Funds, and accordingly to close my NRE Account.
Though they have closed my FD and RD on the 31 October 2012, my NRE Account is still not closed.
I have been constantly following up with various bank personnel. Sending SMS, Sending Emails, and seeking desperate help to get my Mutual Fund account numbers changed and also get my NRE account closed.
Despite of my several follow-ups and reminders, its been months. But I dont see any action happening from ICICI Bank.
I reminded/followed up with Ms.Sneha Mutot (Bund Garden Branch), Ms.Asavari Patankar (Bund Garden Branch) - On several occasions. But they neither have will nor any Accountability.
Then I wrote to Customer Care, Marking Mrs.Chanda Kochar. Sadly - I dont see any difference as well.
Despite of me following up with ICICI Bank several times, and see no action from ICICI Bank, I will opt to close the below services;
1. Closure of my Banking with ICICI Bank (Includes my Salary Account).

non receipt of bonus
I had taken two Life insurance policies from ICICI Prudential(Life Stage Assure) in the name of my wife and myself at an annual premium of Rs30, 000.00 each(Policy no-[protected] and [protected].Till date three premiums were paid by me (10/09-10/10-and 10/11).
Today i received a call from one Megha Arora-from IRDA UP(Mob No.+91-[protected]), stating that i am entitled for a bonus of Rs1, 25, 000.00 against each of the above policies.As per her the agent for my policies has given his code no.and got the bonus credited to himself.
For claiming this bonus i was asked to generate my own code by sending a cheque for Rs30, 000.00 against each of the above policies along with Passport Photos, address proof and photo ID proof to one Mr.P K Raheja c/o Shriram Life Insurance co. Ltd Plot no-B-51, Sector-6, Noida, Gautam Budh Nagar-201301 UP.After doing this i am supposed to get Rs1, 25, 000 against each of my policies besides refund of Rs, 30, 000.00 as well.
Since i have already been deceived by various agents, i would not like to trust any more.I as such request for help, ie whether the claim of Megha Arora is genuine or not.

I don't even know where to start with my complains against ICICI NRI banking. First of all we have to do everything online and if you get stuck we call their phone # and person who picks up the phone is in a hurry to hang up instead of assisting you all the way. And if you punch in something wrong the the system locks you down and you Will not have access to your funds or transfers no matter how emergency your need is for the money. They tell you they can't do anything for 3 full business days. Their customer service sucks. They don't have the capacity to handle NRI accounts. Recently I had to transfer money to India and till today I was unable to do it. They asked me to wait till they send me a transaction password via courier. I am stuck with ICICI till I visit India to open another Bank account and then close this ICICI account. Another thing that annoys me is if I don't use my account they make my account INACTIVE so that I can't write checks till i send them a written signed request. Anyways all I have to advice to every one about ICICI BANK is open an account only to save your money and forget that it exists because accessing your account or transferring money for medical or any other emergencies from this ICICI BANK ACCOUNT WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE OR CHAOTIC. There are No Supervisor's or Managers who come forward to help you . This Bank is only for people who live in India, Its not equipped to help NRI customers.
Employees and management @ ICICI have to go get trained for customer service and how other international banks are operating. Or if you think it is too much close your NRI services for good. That will be so great ! Thanks for offering to help directing me to customer care but I think that department @ ICICI needs lot of help .
My NRI account with ICICI has been locked out for years. The reams of paperwork I sent to make the account operable have not even been acknowledged. The account is still dormant. This is a status that the RBI designed to help customers by preventing fraudulent use of inactive accounts by insiders at the bank. But the banks have cleverly used that to lockout customers from their own accounts. There is no way to use the money, close the account, other than by going through the tedium of overseas mail to their Mumbai headquarters which anyhow will never be acknowledged much less addressed. If you think this has all the marks of a fraudulent system, you are probably right.
Their phone banking is a joke, an illustration of how you can have lots of people at work and still do nothing for the customer. Without reservation, their customer service ranks as the worst among all the banks I have dealt with. They also deserve the highest marks on bureaucracy, incompetence, outdated modes and methods that make life unpleasant for the customer. Perhaps this is the true mission of the ICICI Customer Service Department: Make life hell for the customer so they will never, ever make the mistake of contacting customer service.
On the rare occasions that I happen to visit their branch in India, the expectation is that I have to fall on their feet for them to provide any service to me -- for the simple mistake I made years ago by opening an account with their bank.
Save yourselves a lot of grief. Stay away from ICICI.
fraud during the money transfer

I have used the ICICI Bank Money2India to transfer the money with the amount of 19500/- using 2day power transfer mode . At the time when i transfer the money they show me the exchange rate of 52.19 as indicative. and When they deposit the money to the bank, they sent the money with the exchange rate of 51.44. And i checked the graph of exchange rates on these two days, it never went down to 51.44rs. it at least stopped at 51.77. This is real fraud and they stole almost 20000RS from me. They attract us with good rates and free of transfer cost, but they eat money during the transfer.
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY BAD. WHEN WE ASK THEM ANYTHING OVER THE PHONE THEY WILL KEEP ON HOLD FOR 2MINS AND SAYS THE SAME THING AND ASK US TO SEND THE EMAIL. THEY DON'T GIVE PROMPT RESPONSE OVER THE EMAIL AND IT GETS DELAYED...
I DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE ICICI MONEY2INDIA. IT IS FRAUD BUSINESS. THEY ARE STEALING THE MONEY DIRECTLY. WHAT WE SEND IS NOT EASY MONEY, WE EARN WITH HARD WORK, BUT THEY EAT IT VERY EASILY.

fraudulently sold the policy
My father Mustafa contact information 91-[protected], and he holds policy number 1229732. he owns this policy for last three years. He was fraudulently sold a policy and I am writing this complain on his behalf.
In Aug 2012, I got a call from ICICI Prudential life Insurance manager Mr. Vishal Agrawal from number [protected] and his supervisor Divya Agrawal phone number [protected]. He said he is a manager with ICICI prudential in Delhi and told me asked me if my agent is providing with desired service. When I said no, he said the agent has claimed Rs 1, 50, 000 on my policy as commission and benefits and he can remove the agent code from my policy and pass on the benefits to my policy provided I directly establish a relation with ICICI prudential by taking a new policy. He called me multiple times and also his supervisor Ms. Divya Agrawal. Vishal spoke and convinced me that as per IRDA regulations it is sensitive to remove agent code and I should not divulge any details to anyone other than Divya. They gave me a customer Code and told me to confirm the same with anyone who calls me from ICICI Prudential before providing any details. I was convinced and agreed to make a new policy for Guareented Savings Insurance Plan # [protected] with a premium of Rs 72000 for one year term. They told me that one of our Indore agent will come and ask to fill the new policy and they will confirm that the policy will be 15 years maturity and premium has to be paid for 7 years but since they are agent don't divulge the information regarding the agent commission and anything related to 1 year which the actual policy will be. Once we receive the documents we will change the policy and make it one year and will send you the documents in 40 days which will confirm the one year new policy.
I got the policy documents on 27th Aug 2012 and to our shock we found the policy to be 7 years premium and 15 years matuiry. When I called Mr. Visahl and Ms. Divya to find out why this policy is 7 years they keep saying that your policy is still one year and you will get another set of documents in 40 days. He said to ignore this documents as this documents are provided by agent services like sending statements etc. As I got suspicious, I told him to send me an email from his official ICICI prudential email id which he did not do saying he is not allowed to do so due to company regulations. I searched on the internet and found out many people have been cheated like that and then called customer service who confirmed that it was fradulently sold to me. I went to the branch on 17th Sept. 2012 and gave a written complaint and hope that my policy will be cancelled and mymoney will be refunded to me. I strongly urge ICICI prudential to take action against the concerned people who are running this fraud. I have a long standing relationship with ICICI (Bank, DMAT, Loans, Insurance) and all of this is at stake due to the unethical practices followed to agressively sell products. Anyway, I will never ever consider a policy from ICICI prudential even if it is offered to me for FREE.

I don't blame caller rather i would blame the greediness in ourselves that we trust anyone who is luring us to give monetary benefit. You consider yourself to be educated wherein how can you think that someone within Multinational organization would give you monetary benefit without disclosing it to other members of the company.

otp issue - very very awful
I want bring to your notice about the pathetic operations at ICICI Bank. I have an ICICI savings account in Kamnahalli Branch, Bangalore. I came to USA on a professional assignment for a long term. The only mistake I did was that I did not update my mobile number in ICICI Bank and how would I? When I don't have any in USA while travelling?
My mobile number (India) registered with ICICI is de-activated and there is no means for me to receive the URN or OTP! It is quite strange to learn that, the phone banking officer says 'OTP' through phone when we provide the account number, PIN, security password and other details to authenticate myself.
But, the same does not hold good for URN to confirm a payee! I was asked to send a postal courier to ICICI bank requesting the change in mobile number with proof of identity (Hard Copies). The entire process can take upto 3- 4 weeks.
Spoke with N Number of phone banking officers and all they could say is sorry for not being able to provide URN/ confirm payee even after I authenticate myself with all the necessary details. What is the point of having phone banking service, when you cannot provide a simple service to confirm a payee?
ICICI should either provide a feature to change the mobile number online or improve their phone banking services to help us better.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
This is total crap, i see the same comment from ICICI on all the complaints. We are sorry made a note blah blah.
I am going to switch to another bank ASAP. I am literally tired of this stupid thing.
