Didn't believe it at first
I tried the sleeping angels one first. I admit that going into it, i didn't know what to expect. i admit i was pretty skeptical and that i didn't expect much to come from it at first. But within fifteen seconds into the sleeping angel dose, i felt a weird sensation coming over me. Like two different sized waves pressuring my head. It scared e at first because i felt it through my whole body and it intimidated me so i ripped out my headphones, but when i restarted the dose and put them back in, I focused through that part and found it almost relaxng. This will work on you if you are suscptable to binaural beats, which is about 60% of people. then another 15% or so are affected a little by them, and eveybody esle not at all. They are the negative reviews on this app. Download and enjoy
Great Deal!
For 5 bucks you get 20 doses. that's an AMAZING deal. somebody else on here said that you don't get any good doses and i honeslty have no idea what they're talking about. You get Astral Projection and Hand of God and A-Bomb and White Crosses and tons of other great doses. plus i really love the things down in the corner that can add an extra level of calm or stimulation to the dose. All in all this app is a great deal and I-Doser really does work and u should definatley get this.
I have heard though that Black Sunshine costs $200. well don't be stupid and pay 200 bucks for it on here. go and buy the whole Designer Simulations cd here on itunes for $10 and u'll also get Divornum too. And about Black Sunshine, everyone's all saying how crazy it and Gates of Hades are but no one's ever even HEARD of Satan's Jackhammer...
Needs an overhaul
So far I've tried the Hand of God, Lucid Dream, and Divinorum doses, and have noticed zero results. I even tried the Condition dose. I've also followed the instructions in the guide. I do not doubt the science behind this app, so I am left to believe that either some people just aren't susceptible to binaural beats, or, and I find this just as likely, SOME PEOPLE ARE DISTRACTED AND ANNOYED BY THE UNNECESSARY AND DISTRACTING BACKGROUND TRACKS! Seriously, can we please get an option to turn off the backing tracks? Please? For the grownups? The backing tracks cheapen the app. I mean, in the middle of the Lucid Dream dose, it sounds like someone banging a spoon on a metal pot. Who decided this was a good idea in a dose meant to induce lucid dreaming? There should be a pink noise option for those of us who don't want to be distracted by annoying music.
cheap at the price
I swear that I am not commercially motivated when I report the truth that there is something very real here. Just in what is given for five bucks is more than worth it. absinthe really wastes you like totally numb. If you have ever used music to ride the mind then you will love this. try a bomb for a real blast. I thought my head would explode. white crosses worked this morning for both my wife and myself. It works well on the speakers or headphone and we are still experimenting with this. On the downside is adding some of the pricey additions but haven't tried them yet and I love it. It should have moving light show integrated with the sounds which it lacks but the variations it allows on the sound are really interesting. get this very interesting and entertaining app my friends. some people won't understand this app but it's very special. Interesting, but not to get high
First I am intrigued in general by binaural beats. A bit skeptical and perhaps my experiences are placebo effects. But they relax me and help me sleep.
As for I-Doser, I read all sorts of articles that made me too curious not to try it.
I've just finished my first "dose". I didn't completely follow instructions and was interrupted during as well. As for the outcome: it does something. Made me feel a mild stimulant affect. My legs and body are very tingly. Feel a little silly. (I tried the dose called aftermath)
I would definitely recommend this over other apps because the pure tones are very good. I fell asleep last night just by listening to the first "conditioner" sequence.
As I get a chance to experiment, I will update my review to reflect my experience.
***
update: this app would be better if they didn't pretend it gets u high.
It works only as well as any other binaural app.
Silly gimmick.
Been using it off and on since 2010 I think
You have to get this app if you’re into dreaming. The drug ones are cool, but sometimes don’t work for me. I think you have to use the app a lot to get used to how it works so that might be why. But I will say, get this app for the lucid dream one. I used it back when I was in high school and tried outer body experiences and lucid dreaming. The lucid dream one is spooky, because for me personally, I would wake up in a completely new location, and felt completely normal. But there’s things that are off, it’s like I’m being watched or something. The you realize you’re in a dream, but not one where it’s bits and pieces, you’re in a completely new space with weird things all around. The lucid dream one is by far my favorite dose. It’s just kinda scary is all. Lol anyway, great app. Give it a try. And no you don’t have to buy doses more than once. Some of the reviewers on here have no idea, but gave it 1 star. Doesn’t make sense. Great app, will be getting back into it
3.5 Really, couple things need improving
I just want to echo a previous review of this 3.0 update in pointing out a few things that could be improved upon.
1. I really dislike the sound effects of the UI. The whole robotic/metallic effect is silly and should be able to be switched off.
2. The Slipstream is cool, but I really mainly use this app to help me fall asleep, and so being able to link a few Sleeping Angels together would be great.
3. (This suggestion isn't a deal breaker, but more of a preference)
I've been using iDosers for like.. 5(ish) years now and back in the day it was only the frequencies and white noise, as far as I understand/would call it. If there could be a way to have those original ones on here, as well as the ambient noise ones, that would be stupendous. I feel like back then they were much purer, in that for an experience it relied on the binaural beats and the frequencies, rather than the sounds that you think correspond with the effect you're trying to deliver.

I use it multiple times daily
I know I-Doser has been ALL OVER the news lately (Miami Herald just did a huge article on them, times, wired, and local fox news did a 10 min segment just on i-doser). I must say that this is one of the few apps on my "must have" list. I actually bought all the doses available (yes, even the expensive ones) and to say this has been a LIFE CHANGER for me is putting it lightly. It has improved my sleep patterns, my confidence, my mood, and so so much more.
Ive tried the others, some that people here have suggested, and found them to be way too weak for me. Ill stick with the leader.
For all of you giving 4-5 star reviews, I'm with you. The doses are perfect mobile length, amazing quality, and great design - to put it lightly - it works, its amazing, and you wont be disappointed if you hit the BUY button now. Guaranteed a good trip.
For those saying its a scam - not true. Sure their is an expensive dose, but if you dont want it to buy it. Its clearly marked premium.
Amazing! Works for me!
I love I-Doser! I noticed the more you listen and get into a meditative state, the more the beats sink in. Everyone talks about Hand of God being so intense, it was inspiring and spiritual, but not freaky. Feeling like bed moving slightly and very relaxed fuzzy feeling. I get headaches though, I try to get through the intense beats, but it's hard. I would give it 5 stars if there were more options for playing and where are the opiate doses? I'm going to use pc version too I think this one is just for a quick dose. I also like the acidqh because of the astronauts talking, I don't really trip out I just enjoy the sounds. I learned that you don't want to think about the dose too much as you enter it, deep breathing and accept your own experience, whatever it may be. And hey if you don't like it, stop the track, there's no waiting for weird side effects to wear off... reminds me of futuristic movies, it seems to be where tech is heading, using our minds, and the body listens..it's so cool!
give it time. it might not work the first time but it will eventually
i got this app hoping to experience the effects it would have on me but it didnt work. i kept dosing almost daily and became very frustrated with the lack of success it had on me. after about five failed dose sessions i was convinced on giving up but i did one more session just in case before officially giving up. and im glad i did. the effects were minimal but the next day i tried the same dose again and again and each time i did it the effects became more powerful. now, i can do the trip dose(my favorite) easily and without any issues. the trick is to be persistent and not give up. you might get it in one or two tries, or maybe ten tries. but pnce you do get it, it is WORTH IT. justbpick one dose and ONLY THAT DOSE until you perfect it. only THEN can you start to do other doses. trust me, it is worth every penny. eveybody who "cant get it" hasnt tried enough. no matter how long it takes, THE EFFECTS ARE WORTH IT. i wouldnt waste my time on this big of a review if i wasnt completely impressed. its a no brainer; buy this app
Excellent companion to the record
As someone pointed out below, there is a record available on i-tunes with four of these tracks including Black Sun for $10. As for whether the binaural beats work, I have used these types of programs before with sounds but not music, and the music, for me, is a bit of a distraction. It does work, but so does any good ambient music. Black Sun is interesting and haunting, and it scared me to the point where I saw black shadows surrounding me after finishing listening to the track. I'll chalk the $200 price here to bizarre marketing; using an unreasonable fee to help publicize an affordable record with the same track has probably brought more attention to the record. But if you buy the record and the app, it still comes out to the price of a CD. If you burn the music tracks onto a disc (which you are allowed to do with i-tunes purchases) you even get your CD that way. At the end of the day, even if the meditations don't work for you, this is an excellent ambient music album app which goes well with the record on i-tunes. And if you are bold, try Black Sun (but buy the $10 record, not the in-app purchase).
You Guys Don't Listen
The UI interface is nice, more dosages available, iPhone 5 update that's great and all, but your company seems to have a problem listening to the main complaint about your app: You don't let the user turn the music off of the dose.
Brainwave doses work on their own without needing any added noise or music. Not giving the option to switch it off let's a novice user believe that the music is a necessary part of the dose. I've been using brainwaves for many years and find the (quite honestly) silly soundtracks & sound fx for each dose quite distracting.
Also, you've taken any description of each dose off, which I can understand from a liability perspective: you don't want to give the impression you're condoning some of the more controversial doses. But it comes off thin skinned, especially since the original UI explained quite clearly what each dose did. Now you will have users who have no idea what some doses do, beyond the 1 word descriptor.
As a whole, I support your company & this app, but I think you should look at your own website for guidance : most of the doses have Zero music. Let the brainwaves work on their own.
Ongoing Review: day 1
I don't trust most of these reviews for this app in particular, but I've always had a curiosity for the binaural beat bandwagon, and all the press convinced me to at least try it. I am going to maintain my best evolving, objective review here. Here are my thoughts so far:
1) The name "I-Doser Premium" suggests there is a free, limited version. There is none, but it would be a great way to let people try a few of the "doses" without buying. I don't think binaural beats work on everyone (thus far they have limited if any effect on me).
2) These folks really need to watch their spelling/grammar. So many misspelled words in the app; very unprofessional and easily avoidable. The prose looks like it was written by a stoned 16 year-old, although that may very well be the case.
3) While the app is considered expensive ($5), it's important to know that this "premium" version (as if there was another option) only contains a handful of full doses. If you want the marijuana dose (Green), you have to drop another $4. Buyer beware.
Log:
7/17: I am going to try the Sleeping Angel dose tonight. As I went to sleep I noted little change in my tiredness.
Worked in the business
I have worked developing binaural sequences for about 5 years now and have evaluated just about every piece of software out there - I have to say that I-Doser has it nailed. They have made something considered "scientific" and made it fun, easy to use, and extremely powerful. The uniquely understand the ins and outs of the process, and integrated that knowledge into their tutorial so everyone can understand it. I have also achieved results with their tones that I have never felt with any other binaural CD, program, or method out there - and I've been an acting member of the Monroe Institute. I can tell you that their intricate mix of tones, music, and carrier waves is mixed with such precision that you will simply never achieve the same level effects with the other apps available - maybe, just maybe, you can come close with the Monroe stuff, but you need years of experience. For the every day joe, this fits the bill perfectly.
And for Mr sundis-whatever - um, this app is clearly in the terms of itunes conditions and it warns you that you need to me 17+ for drug and sexual reference. Dont spread misknowledge, its bad karma. If you dont like it, fine, but dont claim it should be banned. You arent authorized in the least to make that kind of justification.
Awesome
This app is great! I tried several other binaural beat apps, nothing. Then I got this and it was just amazing. Now i wasn't able to immediately get results my first try. I am aware that many people can, but for the people who can't like me, don't give up. That's the key. It's imperative that you cover your eyes if not in a dark room, wear headphones that cover over your ears( normal iPod headphones don't really work), don't move AT ALL! It will ruin your chances of falling into a trance, and you must not let your mind wander. I have not yet determined whether concentrating on the binaural beats or concentrating on breathing works better. I am not able to achieve a deep meditative state yet so I don't know if getting there works.
I've done many doses and every time I do one they seem to become more affective. They all seem to work but for people like me who have to practice, I do not advise doing the strong doses first because you most likely will not get results as good as you hoped until later. Just about an hour ago I used the inspire dose, immediately afterward I engaged I'm an hour of classical guitar improvisation which, it seemed, was more original than my usual. I am very satisfied, though, they definitely need to add more doses. Anyway, it's definitely worth the money.
FAQ?
I've been reading a lot of reviews about the app and the outrageous pricing for Black Sunshine and hope to clear things up about it. For one, Black Sunshine is SUPPOSED TO BE $200. It's practically the strongest dose they have so it's not going to be cheap. Ok so now your telling me that you can't get the doses to work? Did you read the guide that was included in the App? Are you sure? Well there shouldn't be any problems if you read and understood the guide, your obviously doing it wrong. The guide stated that the effects INCREASE the more you've been using the specific dose and the app in general.
The app comes with plenty of pre-paid apps, most of them being crap in my opinion. There are some good ones though, although I wish they didn't make you pay for the app, we could of used that money to buy additional doses!
My first and favorite dose would be astral projection(think that's what it's called). It's pretty much a limited version of Out of Body but still gives you those intended feelings. Ecstasy was just weird and A-bomb didn't work for me although I most likely did it wrong.
Thanks to anyone that read this, I'll be reading more reviews to help me figure out which dose to buy in the future. I would give it 4 stars, but I'm not a fan of the added music and the countless spelling errors that the app has. Fix that! :3
Torn
I've purchased more than 7 binaural apps so I have something to compare it to. First, add a timer.
As oposed to most other apps this one calls tones very dramatic names like "hand of god" and "black sunshine". Which is fine, but a little over indulgent. I don't mind purchasing additional content in-app, since they kinda sucker you in to spending right off the gate. I've already purchased several, but $199.99 for black sunshine? As much as i paid for my headphones? No that isn't a mistype. There is a beat for 200 bux. NUTS! FIX! Plus the basic fundamental sounds (Alpha,Beta, theta, etc) should be free. This is a binaural app, and competition is killing this app as far as priceng and tonal range go.
The audio quality is less than average. The tones that are supposed to be the ones working on you aren't as clear as in other apps. I'm sure alot of this is because it seems more attention was paid to the 'white noise' or background, rather than what they call "Pure" sounds, which are the frequencies that are reported to do what the advertizers and supporters say they're supposed to. That is easily my main complaint, spent more time on frills than actual binaural tweaking. Second, the app directly links tones/settings to drugs. Illegal, kill you if you try type drugs. The setting says "snow" with a picture of a plate and a big pile of white powder. There's another setting called green, etc. More or less linking some possibily good results from therapy to a drug isn't a good idea. Period. Other than that Is ok. An update is much needed.
Guys please read.
For All The Sceptics
I-Doser is one of the best companies out there that provide Binural Beats, and like someone said before, some people are not able to experience the effects of them. The first few times i tried there i didnt feel anything, I actually quit for a while thinking they were a scam and people lied about the effects. But a month or so after i quit, I decided to give it another shot; and im glad i did. Doses like Rave and A-Bomb really made me feel weird. I could feel the effects come on strong and to be honest it scared me, because i couldnt understand how something you listen to with headphones can make you physically feel something. But once you understand the concept and science behind Binural Waves and how they can be used to change the way you see and feel things, you're able to feel more comfortable. Now the effects of the doses only last 5-10 minutes depending on how long they are. The 15 min. doses last 5-10min, the 30min doses last even longer.
For all the people who complain and whine about how its a scam and it doesnt work, if you read the description and those things called words before you buy the app and doses, youll know exactly what to expect. There is a dose for $200, but its not forcing you to pay for it. Pay attention before you act and use the brain you have. The sound loops for the doses are not meant to be top notch quality, they are simply there as ambience while you listen to the binural beat. So before someone else decides to waste their time by providing a negative comment, understand the basics of this app and learn that complaining gets you nowhere.
a REAL reviews
I say real because a lot of these bad reviews are rival devs looking for a quick sell. Lame.
Ok here is the deal with no bias. I-Doser has been doing this for years, but i just recently found out about them. I have actually bought almost every binaural app in the store and was very very disappointed in them all - they all look like they were designed by 12 year olds. Its sad I spent this much money, but i guess you have to search to find a gem - and thats what this is.
On the first dose I listened to I thought "FINALLY! A company that gets it" - beautiful music mixed with VERY POWERFUL binaural beats. Plus, for less than 5$ you get a whole library of 20 sessions - and the ability to purchase more. This works great because it gives so so many right out of the gate but you can always add to your library. Oh, and the dose they "recommend" you buy - nowhere do they say its recommended - its just there if you are not getting the best results and want to condition yourself.
Plus, oh man - integrated guides, audio tweaking in real time, great design and descriptions - it all works so perfect its amazing.
Finally, I do agree on one thing. Visit I-Doser forums! People LOVE this app there and cant say enough good things about it. Also, there are hundreds and hundreds of positive experience reports on I-Doser.com and on the forums. Go check it out.
One of the best rated binaural apps for a reason, and it shows. From a company that has been doing this longer than anyone else, I can say that most apps on the app store are just cheap rip offs of I-Doser brand stuff, so why not stick to the source?
Amazing is the only word I can think of. You have to try it. It has really changed my life. Truly amazing. Life changing for me, really.

Hoping for an update
I don't feel this is the best binaural tone application on iTunes, but it isn't too bad. The 'doses' are short and 1-3 minutes in length. The ambient noises are good quality but their loop is way too short and there is a considerable gap when it cycles back to the start of the track. Hopefully with an update they will expand the number of doses, increase their length, and fix the gap on the ambients, if they do those this could be a five star application, but as-is, it's a two star.
support?! please???
the app works alright, it really needs to be a little more polished. i’m only leaving one star review because there’s a REALLY ANNOYING clicking or popping sound while navigating the app and i DON’T mean the ui theme! it’s REALLY ANNOYING! PLEASE FIX!not sure how to contact support.. also there really needs to be independent controls for the beat and the audio track. if it’s not too much to ask also please bring back the ability to mix with my music. not sure why that was ever removed.
Great program, but seems gimped
I really love I-Doser. I just think that this seems more like a demo or preview. The computer version has much, much longer doses and you can purchase more. Since your purchases are saved to your account, I would GREATLY appreciate an update that allows you to link your account with this iPhone version. I payed good money for my dose collection and I think I should be able to use them on this. Make that change and I will gladly change the rating to 5 stars. Thank you for the consideration.

Scam
What people don't realize is that you can get any of those effects by following the "guide" without listening to this waste of money. It's all in your head. Told that it will make you feel like you're out of your body, you will hallucinate it because relaxing makes you tired. Switch around the tracks with the wrong names and you'll get the effect described because that's what you expect to happen. The sound does nothing at all, and has no real effects on brain waves. You can't control brain waves with sound, it simply has no scientific basis. The music may be somewhat relaxing, but that's all it does. It relaxes you, as can any calm music.
Most of the positive reviews are fake
The only free doses are hardly useful at all. Each dose after that is 3+$ each. That’s a bit steep for a 5-10 dose that still doesn’t do anything more than what you can get on YouTube for free. These doses should be 50 cents to a DOLLAR at the most. Also, i fell asleep to a dose and was SHOCKED awake by the loudest sound in history saying that i unlocked some achievement or something on the app. It frightened me so much i woke up on the verge of a panic attack. I bought this to help me sleep because I’ve been having seizures lately and was looking for a way to relax. This was not worth the money. I think a lot of the positive reviews on here were written by the makers of this app.
Don’t buy this-just go on YouTube and get the doses for free.
This app deserves zero stars!
I wish I could give this app zero stars and tell everyone to avoid it at all cost. It shouldn’t even be on the App Store. This app is a scam as far as I can tell. I purchased the app and a few doses, only to find none of the doses work. The samples play, but the actual doses would not play for some reason. The app would recognize the dose I selected, but neither the progress bar nor the timer would change, and I would get no sound. I contacted support twice over the course of several days and got no response at all. I saw online that someone else had the same experience, so I am not alone. It would have been disappointing had it been a free app, but when it’s a purchased app from a company that’s been around for a while, that’s inexcusable.
Misleading
This is a paid app but you still have to purchase the tracks individually in-app

Terrible
Good Idea but thy worst interface. What a headache to use. Its actually sad. I rarely write bad reviews... thats how terrible this app is.

Idols er Insomniac
I can't get back to Insomniac. I desperately want to go to sleep, yet hear I sit. Very frustrated. Why won't my doses load into the slipstream?

Why is there talking in the background?
Listen to HGH and Jacked or Juiced in workouts. There are two guys having a full conversation about headphones and other BS in the background. Annoying.

Purchases bugged
Some of my in app purchases are locked for no reason, other than that I have no complaints. I'll change this to 5 stars once this problem is fixed. I would like to get what I payed for

What??
WHAT? I JUST BOUGHT THE APP FOR $5 WHY DO I HAVE TO BUY ALL THE DOSES FOR LIKE $1 - $5 EACH
AT LEAST MAKE THEM ALL FREE WITH THE PREMIUM APP AND HAVE A 30 SECOND AD PLAY BEFORE DOWNLOADING A DOSE

scam and fraud
this app obviously doesn’t work one bit. not to mention how i try to cancel my subscription but everytime i try to, it just loads infinitely and i can’t figure out how to fix this so i’ve been charged a total of $40 and i haven’t heard back from developers on what to do. this app steals your money.

Great App, poor sound quality
I love the idea, the doses, the selection available, but the sound quality is terrible. The “hiss” of the poor recording quality drowns out the dose/music and is really annoying. I bought the app because I loved the demo doses that are available on YouTube, only to find that the two I listened to on YouTube (one was 6 hours long and the other was 8 hours long) aren’t even available in the app...and they don’t have the “hiss” the app does. Please improve the sound quality and get rid of the hiss so I can enjoy the great sounds that I know are there. I want to give this app a 5! Thank you!

Terrible
Most doses are sold as a single dose so you end up paying like $200 to get a months worth of antistress doses- ridiculous - also opens your phone playlist every time I try to use it...total bomb. So far I have received 2 nastygrams from I-Doser saying my review is false but ZERO help! When you click on a dose to purchase your description says good for 1 DOSE! How is that good for life? And you are welcome to call me & the # provided in my 2 support tickets opened - because I can FaceTime you & you can see for yourself that when on my iPhone & I hit a dose to play my iPhone music downloaded from iTunes starts playing!
Why would lie about that?!?
