Intoxalock review: Interlock device

I had an interlock device installed in October 2019 just prior to the Covid pandemic. I was delayed in getting a restricted license so the state of Tennessee required me to extend my monitoring for an additional year. I complied and in October of 2021 I asked to have it removed because I had met my obligations. Intoxalock told me to send them a copy of my driver’s license. Then they told me I needed a letter from Tennessee. Tennessee said they needed a letter from Intoxalock. No one would help so I gave up trying. Today, August of 2023 I called Intoxalock again. The person told me that my account was “too old” and she could NOT give me a completion letter because my final calibration in 2021 indicated an alcohol alert. This did not occur! I did have to have the monitor replaced in 2021 because it malfunctioned. They agent further told me that she was issuing an order to have it removed and I would need to “take it up” with the state. I am still in the same holding pattern. I just need a pathway to freedom. I have complied for nearly 4 years now. It was only supposed to be for 365 days. Both parties say “there is nothing they can do.” Please help me. Thank you. Alan Watt
