internet service
Hiya I am one of Italks customers my ref number is t215129 I've been with them since September 11 and till this date now I have no Internet service they keep calling me daily asking me for money. I am not willing to pay money for something that I'm not getting. Every week since I have got this service they say to me an engeenier will come out and fix the problem yet no one has came. I was meant to get someone in Monday and Tuesday this week and no phone call and nobody came in. I have spoken to ofcom and I will be seeking further advice. I wish to terminate this contract without paying the fees because I don't see why I should pay a fees if I'm not getting any Internet at all I'm really disappointed. I've also been told that if the engeenier can't fix the problem then I have to pay them 150 pounds and no way that is actually happening I want out of this contract I'm really sick of it now.

phone and broadband
iTalk promised to reduce my monthly bill. It has gone up! I have been touch with customer services about charges they have made which I did not agree to. They have charged me for retaining my previous number, a router delivery charge and line takeover charge. They took 3 weeks to resolve problems during which time I was without services. Customer services are difficult to get hold of. They don't reply to emails - apparently there is a backlog and this from a communicatons company and phone calls cost money hanging on to be answered for ages.

landline
I cancelled iTalk land line to go back to BT. The operator said I would have a cancellation fee. That was 9th Febuary, on 12 th Febuary approximately 1500 hours, I had a call from a man from iTalk asking why I was leaving, he got very aggressive, he said BT Lied to me, he knew I was a pensioner, this was badgering, in the end, I had to say " I'm going to BT on 25 th Febuary, thank and put the phone down. The outcome is he cut my phone line off. I'm a pensioner with medical problems who lives alone, I have no phone in an emergency.

off line with the internet for two months
Back in June of 2015 when I received a telephone call from the sales office of Italk stating that if I should choose to have my telephone line and Internet service with them as a package they would provide this service at a lower monthly cost than that of BT of which I was with.
I agreed over the telephone too allow I talk to take over as a provider of my current line.
I admit that I forgot abound the current contract that is in place with any given provider in general. However BT were quite agreeable in weathering the withdrawal contract fee charge if I should return back to BT plus a low bill tariff so I agreed to go back with BT I am now awaiting for the day to go live with BT again.
The basic problem is currently still with Italk as they also have the charge for withdrawing from their contract. However I may be able to get out of this contract with them on the following grounds. The connection for Broadband did not connect on the day of going live the network and the general facility did not function on my line and all I was receiving was a working telephone Line.
My Internet was off for a period of two months due to the incompetence of the Italk administration within the network. I was given two separate dates for a telecoms technician to call on me back in July 2015 . No service Technician called until more recently and has now found the faults in the insulation and their networking.
Plus there call centre can take some time to respond to any given customer call. And to cap it all the Italk charges are around £5.00-a possible £11 higher for the package deal that some of the other providers of the telephone and Internet service utility.
Italk have caused me inconvenience and possibly a job on the current web sites plus time. I will pay them for use of telephone and for the days currently now in service on my line but not for any bill that is for a internet service not received back in june, july and up to the 26th of August 2015 or any withdrawal from the Italk contract fee.
I believe that any given provider of any service when making cold calls should state or ask if the potential customer/s if they are in a contract with their current provider of the relevant utility.

cold calling and mis-information
I was called by Italk who I understood to be saying that I was entitled to free and cheap calls via BT Openreach. Her exact words were 'Have your free calls been set up yet?' so definitely not phrased like an approach from a new company. I'm not totally gullible and feel there was definitely an intention to lead me to believe I was talking to BT. On providing my current bill details the caller remarked that they were 'ridiculously high'. I started to feel uneasy when she requested my bank details. After the call I found many complaints about the company online and immediately rang to cancel. They were not happy about me saying I felt misled but did accept they should not have called me as I'm registered with TPS. I'll be keeping a close eye on my bank account!

rip off
Back in November 2014 my 76 year old mother was cold called by italk telecom, claiming to offer cheaper calls than bt, they tricked her into a verbal contract for two years, after I did a bit of research on this company and discovering the absolutely dreadful complaints about them I advised her to cancel with them immediately and go back to bt(who are far better!), when she tried to cancel, the sales people turned nasty, trying to bully her, since then she has been continuously harassed sometimes several calls a day from italk, demanding money and threatening legal action.
These people are ###, they prey on vulnerable people, the sales staff are callous, rude, evasive, and blatant liars, they try to talk over the top of you, and if they cant they just hang up on you!, there methods are questionable, clearly a dishonest company, their American affiliates have been investigated for obtaining business by deception, do not allow these scammers to get away with it, we are currently having them investigated by bt,

Stay away from ITalk they will be Harrassing you for the rest of your life.
I am sure they recruit people from the local Pub, and the more dishonest they are the better the job they get.
Lies, more lies, THREATS...
They are so dishonest they disgust me.
Look up the founder and read about his bad behaviour...
Stay away from italk...im still with this company and stuck with them for another 6 months, once my contract ends yippee.
I've been with them for 3 yrs never had a proper running service I even upgraded to fibre a year ago still not had a full service every time open reach have been out I was charged £150 even though no work was completed inside my property. I rang to tell them this and they tried to say it was I disputed this, then because I set up a payment plan each month through standing order I was told I was being charged £10 fee even though I have had this set up for over 2 years. Please avoid this company you never get your full service and they harrass you and threaten you when tou try to leave. Im considering leaving early and getting the additional charges if need be.
Italk telecommunications are not straight with you from the beginning when you take out a verbal contract with them.I got contacted over a year ago to take out a Phone line & Broadband package with them Worse move ever especially when I moved home!.OMG talk about harrasing you because your moving away from them!.Had no choice to cancel my existing contract with them as I no longer needed the contract!.They made my life a misery as I cancelled my Direct Debit with them.I offered to pay up the Contract they Sold me & they quoted me & unrealistic figure. They tried to persuade me to carry on with package but I wouldn't have benefitted from it in anyway but they weren't interested in anyway they just want your money!.Now I have & ongoing issue with this company as I have payed up my Contract but now they're trying to apply further charges on me & constantly harassing me for me money!...STAY CLEAR!.
ripoff company
italk cold called my mother-in-law offering to supply her call services cheaper than BT. Both my wife and I were present and my wife took over the call as Mum is 88yrs old. We asked the caller to send the details of what they were offering for us to check. To our horror three days later a confirmation of the setting up of a direct debit arrived. At no time were they given her bank details and when I rang they insisted that Mum had given them the details? On checking with her bank italk had actually set up a direct debit despite not having been instructed. Further more they had contacted BT to change her line over to them in just over a weeks time.
This company and their kind need stopping.

I would appreciate knowing a contact for the above customer, as this is almost an identical action carried out on my 88 year old mother.
Thanks you derekfletcher@sky.com
lying & high pressure sales
This company cold called my 80 yr old mother promising her she could get a cheap rate with them for landline & broadband. They told her she would have a two week cooling off period and she would get a contract to sign through the post, so she gave her bank details, . Later that day she got cold feet and rang them back to cancel the contract.
Now they are ringing her daily, one has told her cooling off periods were abolished. One has told her they will take her to court and sue her for £4, 000. Another has told her the phone has already been switched over although she had no written documentation & her previous co BT has not contacted her. She was asked "did you notice anything when we changed it?". When she said no the chap said "well that proves how good we were at swapping over". (I'm not convinced it was swapped-there was no notification of the day/time it would be swapped.)
She rang her bank& said not to set up the direct debit . In fact it had already been set up but was cancelled by her before anything was paid.
The latest phone call they rang and asked for her credit card details saying that she had to pay £21 for the three weeks that they provided the phone. She refused. I think they are an appalling company that lies and harasses an 80 yr old. (They asked her date of birth & know full well her age.)
They are obliged to record their calls. If you request an SAR (Subject access request) they will provide a transcript. If you complain to http://www.cisas.org.uk/CustomerInformation-4_e.html you can get resolution. iTalk repeatedly lied to us about what had been said on the phone. However eventually they took money on a direct debit from the bank after having already written acknowledging it had been cancelled. The bank refunded but we then threatened italk with reclaiming our costs (Call-barring, registered letters, being without a phone service and so on.) Confronted with a CISAS reference number they dropped all demands for payment.
Several examples of their lies. They are obliged to keep a recording of the calls. They charge you £10 for an SAR (Subject Access request) which will give you an independent transcript of the call.
Following on from my report above, italk later demanded sums ranging between 130 & £400 for termination fees and even took money on a direct debit two months after it had been cancelled at the bank &after italk had written to say so. (The bank immediately refunded this, as it was their error.) italk denied having ever said that the £21 above was final payment. After 8 weeks if the issue is not resolved you can complain to http://www.cisas.org.uk/CustomerInformation-4_e.html I did this and when I quoted the reference number italk immediately offered as "goodwill" to drop all demands for payment. I had threatened to reclaim our costs for barring anonymous calls and for the SAR if we had to pay to get one. I had repeatedly asked for details of their own in house complaints procedure but this had been ignored. Only deal with them by recorded delivery letter. They will lie & harass on the phone and later deny what they say.
I talk r lying robbing horrible company I got 1 live date for internet didn’t happen got 2 love dates didn’t happen got 3 live date still not broadband I took two days of unpaid leave from work to wait for an engineer who didn’t show twice three months later still no broadband they have too over 300 pound out my bank there harassing me for more money another 93 they took I cancels my direct debit as no internet was provided by them send them there router back then they took an authorised payment out my bank of 101 pound with out my authorisation how do I make them stop please I have asked them I’ve spoke to there management team they not assed I just want them to please stop harassing me taking my money it causing me anxiety stress left me in debit how can I make them stop
How the hell are these rogues getting away with it ive been harreased daily for a service ive never even had during the desth of my son. pressured and harrased daily stealing money from my sons funeral fund. cant take much more ive never ever had the service it didnt work. legal action imminetly these people are rogues and beyond disgustiing
Italk is a joke from in becoming active, throughout contract with different payments take. Monthly ranging from £30.50-£48. Unclear about fone prices and unhelpful with router problems. Insisting electrical sockets removed etc as instruction. £3 offered as compensation for 6 days no Internet (apparently only pennies per day) rest of cost is for fone line? Now trying to switch have had 4-5 calls per day plus messages from company. Bill paid 5 days ago. A joke of a company claiming £19.99a month
I am a current customer of talk and i wish i hadn't of joined them. I have to ring them every month to complain about the same thing over and over!
I initially requested monthly payments to be made on the 4th of every month and this request was accepted and set up...so i thought!
In actual fact between the 1st & 4th of every month i am disconnected and have to ring them and have the exact same conversation with them that i had the month before...word for word!
Oh! And todays date is...wait for it... Yes you guessed it! 04/12/2018/
I need to find a better affordable provider as italk are defiantly NOT! recommended by myself.
They certainly Do Not do what it says on the tin!
I have bin with Itak abit now they kept messing up my statements as i wanted them sent them through email but they kept sending them through post all my router does is goes off three lights go off crashes everything can't connect 2 devices as italk said we can connect two devices they keep saying that they're going to sort my router I keep losing speed and they sent me a £2.50 box I have had BT people come out to check my speed see if there is any problems they have found out there is a lot of people are having a lot of problems with these stupid zyxcel router they turn around same it's down to the router and I got told that they should have sent us a proper italk box which they will never do they are very rubbish I advise everyone to stay away from on the [censored] company they are
Today 2/1/2018 I was meant to pay italk of £29 something they rang me this morning but missed the call and was gonna call them back.in the afternoon. But this afternoon my sister went the bank for me was not money in and there should if been my child benefit in so I phone up my bank and italk had taken money out my bank and I cancelled the direct debt two months ago because I have been phoning up to pay them and they told me they still had my bank details so they took it out as a card payment i was fuming because I told them I told I would phone them up and they took money without asking when I phoned them up they had me waiting on phone for over and hour and now my mobile sim contract is £51 so not happy over that. And they said they can take money out as a payment card without asking me is this true
I am afraid this is true but you can claim it back as an indemnity claim through your bank as you have cancelled the direct debit. What you also need to do is tell the bank you've lost your card so they cancel your old one and you get a new one
OK thank you was fuming with them over it they never listened when I said I would phone them up to pay
just be careful as my wife also tried to pay over the phone but gave up after 30 minutes but they did take the last payment from her account after the direct debit was cancelled. Were now waiting to see if they try it next month
After having ITalk supply my broadband for 3 months and having had to phone them numerous times as i either had no broadband or it would always cut out i decided to get my wife to phone them (account was in her name) which she did. She told them she was cancelling the broadband due to poor service and was told that she hadn't contacted them since October about this so my wife replied saying "i work to 7 pm during the week and can never get through on a Saturday plus your closed on Sunday how am i supposed to talk to you". Although the person was apologetic about this he then said that there would be a cancellation fee at this point i took over the call. The person stated that if we didn't pay the fee that we would be taken to court and we would get someone at our door. I stated back that if he wanted to take us to court then to go ahead and i would then counter sue for the rubbish service they provide and also that it's against the law in Scotland to come to my door and that as it was a cold call i would then complain to ofgem about them. The call was then ended and a few days later they called back as another provider who i contacted was going to take my broadband over. My wife then had to go through all of this again at which point they said to her that they would take the last payment at the end of the month and there would be no cancellation fee
I have since had a letter from I-Talk demanding £344.38. for cancellation fee and for the router. I emailed them asking for a return box to send router back and also for proof of contract and direct debit, also i asked for them to listen to the recordings of the conversation and to send me a copy of them but so far they haven't replied
I-Talk phoned my wife today saying she has an outstanding balance to pay so my wife went through all the same rubbish again. Eventually my wife told them that i had emailed them which they confirmed and she told them to only contact me through emails and that if they continued to call her she would complain to ofgen
I-Talk opened the direct debit that we cancelled, we only found out because we got a text message from the bank. This DD was cancelled again. I emailed I-Talk stating "they don't have permission to open a direct debit and that this could be seen as fraud and it they tried this again i may have to consult my lawyer regarding this". My wife got a call from them again a few days later from them saying they would not be contacting us regarding this so called debt anymore
I was also lied to salesperson saying it would only be 21£ a month but with billing charges and vat nearly £30 . The modem has to be re booted several times a week if not a dy and i had no internet service for 3 days . They do not reply to E mails . I have now sent them a e mail saying i am cancelling my contract and they called me saying i have to pay 600 £. . They also refuse to refund 2.55 a month caller display charge which i told them i did not want .
Me exactly the same
Me too *
my mother is being scammed by these as in the other comments she was promised lower bills but don't get them and now cause shes cancelling shes been told she has to pay £650 within 7 days or will be going to get baliffs involve I recommend all people stay away from this company I will be doing more research and find out just wat can be done to get this company closed down I wonder if trading standers could do anything
This company has been bankrupt and have changed thier company name 4 times they were raised few years ago by trading standards and I don't see them lasting it's a dodgy company they don't know how to operate or have any clue they say they have techniions which is a lie
I was cold called today by ITalk who asked who my current telecom provider was, also what package I have and its monthly cost. They then offered a package for £42-50 inc VAT. I said I was happy with my current provider even if it was slightly more expensive. The ITalk girl ignored this and proceeded to tell me they would transfer me to their package. I again stated I do not make any agreements with cold callers but require to see something in writing but she replied they don't provide written material. She continued to proceed down the path of transferring me to their package; it was like a dialogue with the deaf. I said I would inspect their website since I was unfamiliar with the Company and would not proceed any further until I had done so. She somewhat huffily finally terminated her sales spiel. Hence I am on this website and forward this comment to join the others .
mis selling of product, product didnt work, awful company to deal with
In September I received a telemarketing call asking me to join italk and offering substantial discounts. At the time of the call I asked not once but several times what this would entail with particular reference to email addresses. I was assured there would be no action for me to take and that my email addresses would transfer over- no action required from myself. When I spoke to BT about leaving I was told I did not have automatic right to my email addresses and would infact have to pay a monthly fee to retain them. I phoned italk immediately and said I did not want their service as it was not as described to me. The only response I received was that I had a contract so tough! I asked italk to review the sales call I received as they would see I was particular about my needs. They refused and said they did not keep recordings of phone calls and would bill me £500 if I tried to move. Unfortunately the day came when I received the 'Demon' (quite literally) box even though I had made many calls to italk to stop the service. The box didn't work. At first it was claimed it was my fault however after many failed attempts I found one agent who was prepared to help. The others just told me to push off because I had a so called contract. Diagnosis confirmed I had set up the box correctly and that there must be a problem with Demon. This call lasted 45 minutes and the agent put me through to demon who after 10 minutes I realised had hung up on me. I then began a series of phone calls trying to get my internet connection as I am self employed and could not work without it. I was asked to unscrew the BT box- are they having a laugh and tinker with this. I refused on the grounds that I have no idea what I would be doing, if I broke anything I would be held responsible, and thirdly my screw drivers came out of a cracker and I always get the appropriate trades people to fix things. I was told eventually that a new box would be sent to me and had been despatched. This was a Friday morning. By the following Thursday I still had no box so I phoned iTalk. After initially having a record of the box being despatched they now could find nothing about and weren't even clear why they had told me this in the first place. By this time my internet had been down for 9 days and I was unable to work. This being the case I contacted BT to resume service with BT. Strangely enough as I put down the phone to BT italk said they had found the fault. I said too late I could not wait any longer to be connected. My bank equally recognising I could not pay businesses etc. cancelled the direct debit. I wrote to italk asking to no longer be involved with them as they had not delivered a service. They said you have a contract. I received a bill which I offered to pay as a gesture of good will to get rid of them. They have now upped that bill even though I said I would pay it and are threatening me with legal action in 7 days. I have been upfront with this company from the outset. They are scoundrels and I find their attitude bullying. They also want £500 of me. I signed no paper work and have no contract. They have delivered nothing but misery and lost income. Can you help?
Our phone line went down on Christmas day, my fiancé has been on his mobile for one hour now, and all he is getting is that he is 1st in the queue and will be answered shortly. this is appalling service, and as soon as we can we will be going back to BT.
my try in contacting them failed
I paid $150 to iTalk.net for my computer repair. When I got my computer back I discovered that it is still broken. I wanted to give it to them one more time but my try in contacting them failed. I am very disappointed. Don’t trust this company!

unusable
I used italk card to call Thailand. I loaded it with my cell phone number. The transaction to buy the credit was done very fast, but the services I get is the worst. I tried to call my friend in Thailand but there is no sound at all after the operator mentioned how much the duration available for the number I called. My friend on the other side heard the ring but the call remained silence when he answered it.
To make sure the phone line is working, I did call without using my italk credit and the line got connected. I tried to make a call to TM customer service line but my call was transfered a few times and was HUNG UP. I did it again for 2 more times and the same thing HAPPENNED. In view of the worst services they had, I would not recommend any investing company to help such a loser country I lived in. I would advise some companies to set up as a competitor to explore this monopolized sector that had not been challenged for a long time.
Finally, tried not to buy italk card, it is not worth it. Use internet or other form of international calls.

I have the same experience.
Rip off / scam
I was conned into having italk as my phone company by false promises. I cancelled in april after 3 months overcharging by them. Later, they said my cancellation was rescinded externally (Alleged, no proof) worse was to follow. Notwithstanding the fact that i cancelled, and that their "service" was for calls only, and i was the only person in my house for 6 months, and i am a man of few words, they are now trying to get £517 from me! They even include a charge for september, a month after they themselves say the "service "ceased. Basically, they are lying about the entire matter. None of their figures are real. Figures have simply been "snatched out of the air", and the entire bill is a fabrication. They even phoned today pretending to be bt and falsely alleging that the £517 owed to bt! They will use any sly conniving sneaky swindling tactic to try to get peoples' money. I wish they would take me to court so that i can expose them to the adverse publicity they deserve. They are a bunch of scamming fraudsters, and it is long past time they were stopped. Be warned, don't sign up with italk, they will rip you off, and if you cancel, they will find some way of charging you an extortionate amount of money for nothing. I think they must only employ staff who have no principles, otherwise they would not work for such a slimy no - good bunch of criminals. If you have been ripped off, make it public, and if they are trying to rip you off, refuse to pay and make online complaints like mine. We can bring them down if we all fight them together. My next step is to go to the police to make a formal complaint against them for fraudulent business methods for which they already have a record in the usa.
DCS150 This is the same problem I’m having. I phoned them in March 2018 to say I wanted to terminate early and I cancled direct debit and phoned them and gave them new bank details for my other account. They sent me a termination letter which stated I had to pay £790. They have been taking out of new bank account. But the sneaking robbing c**ts have made a regular card payment on my old card details and took £179 four weeks ago which Bank gave back to me and said they had stopped the company. But this morning I checked my bank and the b*****ds have took 187.56 and I can’t get the money back as bank or saying they are doing a fraud investigation in to it. But the sneaky part is they changed there name slightly to www.italk to do this. I phoned italk and the women had a disgusting attitude ect. Please don’t anyone ever use this company
My partner has pancreatic cancer and an aggressive type 1 diabetes, so as you can see, he is quite ill, I cancelled italk in March 2018, after receiving 12 months of complete garbage, I never missed a payment, this month they have STOLEN £148 of my partners disability money, out of my personal bank account, I spent an hour being passed back and to, just so an ignorant idiot in so call customer services could yawn and stretch, talk over me repeatedly telling me it's not their problem and they won't be refunding it, when he got bored of saying it he hung up on me, I don't intend to let this drop, I am going to go to the ombudsmen and trading standards, and anyone else i can report them to, I am going to my bank on Monday, they knew that money should not have been paid to them . Everyone should fight them, they can't get away with treating people this way, it needs to go national for the whole world to see, maybe that way nobody will take their services, they should not be allowed to carry on trading .
Yes please do. They’ve took money out of my bank and made it look like a card payment even tho I changed bank details months ago and when I phoned them up I got the same attitude
I gave instruction to my bank via online banking to not pay them + cancelled the d/debit... - I keep getting calls to my junk voicemail from hg clarke... - six calls a day now...
I was with italk then I moved and told them but then I'm with another broadband and right now that saying I owe 336.00 I said il pay 10pounds a month but now that got a check to ask me that that want to see how much income I get are that stupied if it was sky or any other broadband that would ask how much cud you afford to pay not can I see your income lol pure joke that should take me to court and I will tell them what's going on
Avoid Italk UK all together. We have had problems with internet being non existent quite a lot when you complain on their Facebook page they block you. My bills are always paid, sometimes a little late, but there is no flexibility with them. They cut you off if only two days late paying. It's disgusting they get away with this. They are adding extra charges on, every month because it's not always paid on time, no other company does this. This company is ruthless and their attitudes are awful. Last time they cut my service off they left us without phone, so couldn't get help if my daughter needed her doctors calling. Despite telling them it is a vulnerable household they don't care. They have stuck me on a contract for two years! Awful wish had never gone with them
I to joined i talk as i was promised cheaper bills but they for got to add the v a t . i was told that they would do all the change over from Virgin. When the engineer came to set this up he could not get all the phones in the house working. he got the broad band working and one phone which was up stairs, This ment that every time the phone went you would have to go up stairs to answer the call. So i had to purchase extra wire and fittings to make this work. The second thing was that they said thet would all the change over from Virgin to I TALK i then received one bill from i talk and one from Virgin. I phoned i talk after waiting nearly halh an hour they said it was Virgin's fault. I phoned Virgin and they said that it was Italk's fault as they did not have the pass word for that account.
This cost me another £92 pounds and had to do the disconnection my self. I also sent aN e-mail to I talk, no reply. i have also requested a phone call back but am still waiting. There is no customer support with this Co. My advise is steer clear.
so wish i had read reviews on this company..and i knew should stayed with talk talk..my live date was yesteday after waiting nearly three weeks to be connected..my wifi runs my tv and im a student so need laptop.yesterday plugged all equipment in..waited and rang to be told takes upto 24 hours but bet im being billed from yesterday morning..waited and rung again to be told try test socket and other sockets to be told there no fault on there end.so u would think they would send somebody its early enough, but no am told they will do more tests there end and may be up and running mon..now am i being dense but how can u fux aline at ypur end that shows no fault..would that not suggest they beed to visit my property..so come mon i know what going to say cant find a fault so have to send somebody out as i was told on phone its weekend no its fri..when asked if bill date be changed was told would look at it once sorted no why should i pay for a service not provided and now im gonna have tp get advice to get aeay from this company ...stay away from this company
I've been caught up in the Italk telecoms Web.
I signed up, and noticed with immediate effect that the broadband speed was almost non existing. I called and emailed them, and eventually Open reach rectified the issue. Important to note that I had previously encountered no speed issue, based on standard broadband speed.
Despite sending emailed transcripts to italk following any conversations, and requesting feedback, information and confirmation, they blatantly ignored any emails. Their representative admitted that emails are not read or actioned for a minimum of 7 days. I have also copied in their Md on all emails, who didn't even have the courtesy to respond.
6 weeks have gone since I switched back to Sky, the sharks have now sent me a penalty invoice, despite them cancelling the contract and comiting to an early release with no penalty.
Try calling them, the wait is about 25 minutes, and they are, supposedly, a telecoms company.
I'm letting this one go to court, ignoring any letters off them until the court papers arrive.
Utter shambles
i totally agree that ITALK is a scam company, i feel like going there and shooting somebody I signed up for 19.99 full stop they advertise thats all it would be and they don't take anymore than the £19.99 which was false . look at the advert which states that then they're breaching there contract, see them in court the [censor]
Hi Everyone ive been reading through some complaints, I to im one of them whos been getting threatening letters, I rang them up complained that id had payments taken out of my bank account luckily I found the transactions was early, As I my complaint was that I was cancelling before the due date it was getting switched on, the first communicator I spoke to explained there deals he went on for that long time I got bored listening to him I hung up, He then phoned me back telling me he could give me a good WIFI Broadband deal Fibre he said all calls with it £37.00 a month, great I said, but im wanting my old phone point moving in room, yes he said we can see to that free of charge, be fore my due date I rang them back confirming before my due date switching on im wanting to know when there coming out to mine to sort out re-installing my phone point in house, by this time im speaking to a lady communicator who says nothing was mentioned she didn't know about it, she put me through to another dept who deals with the matter I explained to them what waned doing, THEY Explained it would going to cost me £250 JUST TO MOVE AN OUTDOOR CABLE AND A PHONE POINT IN MY HOME (on another wall) in same room I said thank you but no thank you, im not paying that, could you please put me back through to dept I was in before, Luckily I spoke to same lady I was on phone with I said just found out its going to cost £250 to move a point point I SAID NO THANK YOU I DONT WISH TO PURSUE WITH THE DEAL ...CANCEL! That was 5 days before the due date switch, they over rided my cancellation activated the line, until weeks later I spoke to a bank clerk told me ITALK been taking money out of my account I stopped it, cancelled debit spoke to them the same day explaining WHY YOU TAKING MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUT, When I already cancelled before the due switched on date started, they said id had an account with them ive argued many time over and over they wont resolve the situation now sending me final notices court proceeding plus cost and admin costs running into many hundreds of pounds, ITS DISCUSTING
I am going through the same experience. I talk make out that they are this good company that there chargers are at a cheap rate. When I receive the italk box plug in the sockets etc expected to get the Internet no. I got no internet at all rang them up they went through the the connections nothing worked. By that time l was fed up they gave me a cooling off period. But by that time I was fed up.l phone them up to cancel they said l had to pay £400 pounds then it went up too €) £500- £600 rip off.
billed for cancelled contract
I cancelled a contract I had with italk and got an email confirmation from them in Jan that my last bill is supposed to be at end Jan 2008. I have subsequently on 2 occasions been charged (without authorisation) at the end Feb, end Mar as well as end Apr. When I call them, they have repeatedly agreed to sort this out but have not to date - and my credit card company is not authorised to intervene on my behalf since the debit order is with italk and can only be cancelled WITH ITALK - this is extremely FRUSTRATING and ANNOYING - anyone out there have any suggestions?
I have moved address 3 months ago. I was with italk at old address. Its take 3 month to provide my Internet and phone. Have complained to italk as still have no Internet service. They have not got back to me as they promised me compensation as gone over 30 days. And now still charging me £26.99 a month.. I have had to bye more Internet on mobile.
They are the lowest of the low, praying on vulnerable people, too old or ill informed to know the difference. We (family members) are now undoing the mess. Never deal with them
You have been taking money for well over a year for a service that has no API or KEY PIN I don't have a company or website
I have never been with italk, but my account was charged £40.13. I emailed them multiple times with no response.
I am writing to complain about my internet being cut off after you took £75 out of my bank without my permission so i either want a refund or my internet put back on ...
I have mention a few times about my box going off. I paid bill today for then I can't use the broadband at all. this is getting beyond a joke it needs sorting or I will be leaving this company and I will do a bad review on you aswell you guys are quick to take our money but u can't sort our problems
Joined Italk August last year and right up to December no service. Got told in December if I upgraded the situation would be sorted and would be done by the end of the month. Not the case so I put various complaints in including Ofcom. Direct debit was cancelled, today they took £219 out of my bank and left me with £4. I'm literally in tears!
italk is an utter joke plz do not use this company unless uwant to lose money i am paying for internet to work atleast an hour a day utter pish. will defo be leaving italk
DO NOT BUY RUBBISH LIKE THIS
Took 270 from my account today leaving me in financial hardship. Without my authorisation once paid with card kept my details despite me asking them not to take any further payments but card.
THIS OUTFIT (I-TALK) DEMONSTRATES A CONSISTENT "TO HELL WITH YOU" ATTITUDE WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO CALL AND GET THEM TO RECTIFY A PROBLEM.
A CLOSE FRIEND OF MINE PURCHASED THEIR DAMN SERVICE AND WAS UNABLE TO MAKE OR RECEIVE CALLS WITHIN SEVERAL DAYS OF ACTIVATION. SHE WAS OVERSEAS AND I REPEATEDLY CALLED THOSE ### AT I-TALK EXPLAINING THAT THEIR CUSTOMER WAS UNABLE TO USE THE SERVICE. I ASKED THEM — SEVERAL TIMES, DURING SUCCESSIVE CALLS — TO TELEPHONE MY FRIEND (THEIR PAYING CUSTOMER) AND RECTIFY THE PROBLEM. EACH TIME THEY PROMISED TO CALL "RIGHT AWAY" AND DID NOT CALL. AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED A FORMAL COMPLAINT TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE AND TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION IS AN EXCELLENT IDEA. I AM ADVISING AND URGING MY FRIEND TO DO THIS, HERSELF! THESE MONEY-GRUBBING ### SIMPLY WANT TO BILL AND COLLECT MONEY . . . THEY DON'T GIVE A S**T ABOUT SO MUCH AS COURTEOUSLY RESPONDING TO THEIR CUSTOMERS! A LOUSY, LOUSY, DISGUSTING, INCOMPETENT RIPOFF OUTFIT, IN MY EXPERIENCE. ATTORNEY GENERAL/BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU/FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION. THESE ### WILL HAVE TO SIT UP AND TAKE NOTICE WHEN PROPER AUTHORITIES CALL THEM TO ACCOUNT FOR THEIR REPREHENSIBLE, UNETHICAL MANNER OF DEALING WITH PEOPLE. GO GET 'EM!
