Purchased Jackson Catnapper recliner sofa

Retailer put me in touch with representative from Jackson Catnapper
He was VERY RUDE !
He suggested I was overweight without meeting me or seeing the sofa and that was the reason for the poor workmanship in their product
There is no phone numbers to reach customer service...Hmmmm
Recommendation: Do not purchase product from Jackson Catnapper
Overpriced garbage that takes months to be delivered
We ordered 2 recliners on 10-25-23. A brisk 13+ weeks later, the chairs were delivered on Jan 30th, 2024. The reasons were varied and many, and as far as I could tell, just lies, because none of what they said occurred.
Now, just 30 days later, we already have handles that are falling off the chairs.
13+ weeks, $1300 and the best catnapper could do was ship defective crap.
You would have a better experience setting $1300 on fire.
Recommendation: Free is too much to pay for CatNapper garbage.

I purchased a catnapper recliner about 5 years ago. The workmanship and quality of the product is horrendous. The headrest, arms and anywhere your body touches as peeled and frayed terribly. This recliner was used infrequently by an adult. I paid $650 for a chair that will go in the garbage. There marketing material states their furniture is made to last. They should add barely five years. Their customer service was useless with their recommendations. I could purchase replacement parts from them. That would be an entirely new chair. Do not buy anything from this company.

This will have been my third catnapped chair and last one.Your company don’t stand behind there product the recliner I purchased never reclined from day one know it won’t recline at all and when I email you want to chair me for parts and me to fix the chair that suppose to be under warranty sorry no I’ll just invest that money in a new chair in a company that stands behind there products so thanks but no thanks and I will let everyone that I can not to purchase your poor built products and also your customer service is very slow and no responsive

"lack of support"
I recently , 3 months ago, bought a cat napper recliner from a local dealer going out of business. the chair was in brand new condition , unpacked at the house and installed by them. Since they have gone of of business and i started to have a problem with the chair not function properly and the reclining was getting really hard to release the chair back to sitting position. well a week later the chair locked up tight as a drum of oil. wont rock, wont recline , fells weird to sit in the ting when your able to.
I tried reaching Catnapper support or only number , and the whole company was on vacation for the week of July 1st which apparently is about 2 weeks long.
Finally got a email response from the emails to support and they tell me to go to the company that i bought it from, replied back stating the obvious to me that the store was closed. i have sent 3 replies and no answer back since the last one where they asked for pictures and receipt.
I after 30 days of this called again this time tried reaching by the operator and choosing the person to whom sent me the email and believe this , they are out of the office, female and who knows when or if this will ever get resolved.
No real Way to contact a live person, no way to follow up on an issue.
If I were to be asked Right now in this Moment, I would warn others to stay clear of their products or even doing any business with this poorly run company when it comes to support the product you make your lively hood from.
Desired outcome: The company would call me back and work through supporting their products like a real company of the 21 century.
Catnapper lift chair
Do Not Buy a Catnapper recliner!
Bought one in April 2022 It worked for 2 months then the problems began:
June 2022- 1st was the creaking and groaning, then the mechanism failed which destroyed the motor.
3 tech visits to fix issue ,,,, Chair not used for 4 weeks.
August 2022…Creaking and groaning of chair again, the mechanism failed again and motor was destroyed.
3 tech visits to fix issues and chair again not used for 4 weeks.
October 2022….Chair would only raise up, controller did not stop the rise and chair was in fully upright position on the foot rest. 2 Tech visits chair did not work for 5 weeks/
Dec 2022 I asked for the chair to be replaced. It was obvious this is a lemon chair! It now will not raise up and motor is not activated. 3 tech visits chair again out of commission
for 5 weeks.
February 2023 Chair now Drops from reclining position, mechanism defective..could not get tech to house, finally went to store where purchased with video of the chair dropping my husband to sitting position. Again requested a new chair or refund. 4 tech visits..replaced mechanism and said all is good chair mechanism would be under warranty for 5 years..
April 2023 Chair controller would not work correctly. Tech dropped off old replacement controller that would not work, messaged and called tech with the issues. Tech finally brought out a controller…the wrong one and it would not work. Chair out of commission for 6 weeks now, Tech states warranty is not out and Catnapper will not cover controller.
As of today I have a 1500.00 chair that has not worked properly since I purchased. This is a complete Lemon Catnapper Chair. I am out the money, my husband is in dire need of a lift chair. I do not have the money to get another chair.

Potential safety hazard of electrical furniture
Beware and please research thoroughly any & all reputable review sites before you buy. Make sure your research includes safety of the product, design and workmanship of the product and customer service to warranty. Do they stand behind the workmanship, quality & warranties as stated? Read them all. We will never buy their product again nor shop this retailer. We have been ignored & became irrelevant after purchase with no safety concern for me, my family or the hard earned money we spent that contributed to their wealth. We were left homeless in July ‘21 until April ‘22 when our new home was finally ready for move in. Sadly it was a total loss.
Desired outcome: They should’ve already considered my families loss. We only wanted back where we were. A 5yr mortgage is all we had left. Now its a 30 yr new mortgage with quadrupled payments. This company should be ashamed.
Living room set
I bought a sofa,loveseat and reclining chair in 2018 from a furniture store in my area which was made and sent by Jackson furniture. After only a year my back cushions on the sofa fell flat and I had a warranty in which I had them fixed,then 6 months later my swivel rocking chair broke and my warranty had ran out,so I fixed it myself only for it to completely brake 2 months later and the loveseat and sofa cushions have fallen flat again. I spent 3000 on this set and it only lasted 2 years! I will never purchase any furniture from Jackson or any catnapper furniture or recommend this to anyone..Complete waste of money.

J'ai acheté le sofa inclinable électrique en mars 2023 (UGS : [protected]), chez Léon à Québec, après 2 semaines d'utilisation ma conjointe et moi, nous avons des maux au bas du dos, et nous considérons que l'appui pieds est trop court. Chez Léon on doit laisser sur la table 500.00$ pour pouvoir changer de sofa, nous l'avons gardé, mais nous aimerions savoir si vous avez des modèles plus confortable pour le dos et les pieds. I purchased a recliner and love seat 2 years ago. The love seat has been repaired x 4 with motor replacement. My recliner needs a part that I have been waiting for at least 2 months and this furniture is stuck in reclining position. I have called King furniture and that are still waiting for parts. Catnapper Sectional
I purchased a catnapper sectional in 2021. I rearranged my living room to find pinkish stains on my carpet everywhere that the sectional leg touched. The company told me my carpet must of got wet. My carpet has never been wet under legs. I cleaned my carpet where people walked, never where the sectional sits. I’m very disappointed and can not get the stains out.
Desired outcome: I think the company should pay for my carpet to get replaced.
Catnapper henderson power loveseat
We were told it was leather on the leg rest of the recliner. It has started ripping, cracking, peeling off after only 5 years of use and only 2 of us in the household so not any neglect or abuse to it. The loveseat is ruined. We purchased the whole set in 2017. The store we purchased it from is no longer in business so we have no one to talk to about it, or anyone to come and look at it.
Desired outcome: Some financial reimbursement, or replacement of the love seat.

It has been over one year since i purchased my livingroom set. i've yet received a forth replacement cushiion that was originally poorly made and ive yet to receive the ottoman i purchased. i find it hard to beleive they have not run a single ottoman in over a year. This company quality is digusting. i could go on and on. several promises from Americas Furniture in Myrtle Beach has still yet to produce what i paid for over a year ago. now i have have one year older furniture and no complete set. Disgusting for a company that says made in the USA.

We bought this catnapper 2 1/2 years ago and are on our fourth recline mechanism. This is getting old and now we are past the point our local retailer covering the cost of the labor. We have had catnapper recliners other than this one and had no problems. This particular one has been nothing but problems. It is easy to offer a warranty if they dont respond and have to honor it.
Recliner frame broke along a support bolt. We have no children to jump and damage anything. Heaviest adult is about 180 pounds which obviously wouldnt cause damage. On their site you have to type in your issue and submit it. They do not have a customer service person to speak to. You have to have a name to get through their computer directory. They indicate a response in 2-3 days. Over the past couple of months I have submitted their form 5 times trying to get a response. I received 1 email asking for purchase info for warranty which was sent. Then nothing again. No response to follow up emails asking for update.
This company is a fraud and needs to be shut down.

Broken recliners - one after 7 months, the other after 11 months
Husband and I bought two Catnapper recliners in February 2021. One chair broke in September 2021 (after a mere seven months) and the second one broke in January 2022 (after 11 months). We notified them in September 2021 right after the first chair broke and they him-hawed around for two months, offering no solution to the issue, until I reported them to the Better Business Bureau in December 2021. They initially agreed to replace the chair and said it would ship in March 2022. Meanwhile, in January 2022, the second chair broke and after numerous emails about that one, they decided they were not going to replace either chair – they would send parts for us to repair the chairs ourselves. That 24-lb box of loose parts arrived yesterday. Worst customer service imaginable! We are seniors living on a fixed income and spent $1700 from savings on these recliners. We have no children at home so there is no misuse, and we are both well below the 250-lb weight limit.

Catnapper recliner
I purchased my CatNapper chair I believe August of 2020, from Furniture Direct in Hastings, Ne. It has been a nightmare. I have already had it in for repair, material coming apart and not at the seams on the arm. Now I am waiting for it to go back in due to threads in the seat coming undone, which has taken months for the material, there are holes appearing on the arms and they are not from wear and tear either. The handle to put up footrest has come apart. On the back, the bottom corners have wear on them and little shavings of wood have come off as the chair hits the floor when rocking. David stated the chair is uneven. Where the first repair was done, the staples are nothing better than staples I use at my job for paper.
I am very disappointed in this chair and its quality. I have talked to my Furniture Direct manager, David and he has been helpful, however this chair needs to be replaced not repaired. He said he couldn't do that. I understand he is standing by his business, but this is not the way to keep business. I have discussed this with him and if this has to go back in for the third time, I will take action to get my refund as a new chair I am sure will cause me the same grief. Times are too hard to be selling quality items like this. I expected it to be of good quality. I would have been better off going to an auction or reuse furniture store to get better quality.
Desired outcome: I would like the chair replaced at your expense or my refund. This chair is not worth what I paid for it. Like I said, not happy at all and would not recommend your furniture. I would like a response.
Catnapper furniture wears out too fast
We purchased an entire set (couch, loveseat and chair) for $3000. Within one year of the purchase, the material started wearing out (peeling off). We were told by the sales woman that the fake leather would last a long time but they did not. We are very disappointed and do not recommend Catnapper furniture. When we purchase a replacement, it will definitely not be Capnapper!
Catnapper recliner
Chair was purchased and delivered in may of 2021, After a couple of months the closing mechanism started to be hard to close. Its November 2021 now and I found that both right and left long bars in the mechanism are bent badly. The metal is not hardend and will bow out easily when the chair is reclined and then reclosed . I can't repair the chair. I put another chair behind this one to support myself from tipping over backwards.

Sofa recliner and two oversized recliners
I NEVER write negative reviews, however this one has frustrated me so much that I feel compelled to let others know. I had a Catnapper sofa years ago which held up well and I loved it. When I was looking for furniture for a SECOND home I was thrilled to find Catnapper in the color and style I was looking for. That was only 4 years ago. This home has not been used much over the past 4 years due to schedules and COVID. However, my furniture is failing. All three pieces have fabric which is peeling. I have reached out to Catnapper. They in turn asked for model and serial number information, etc. I drove to the house and sent the information to them. They have since said "we cannot help you". If this furniture had been used a lot maybe I would feel differently. However, it was not and was in a temperature controlled environment and was wiped down with leather moisturizer each time we were there. So this should not be happening. Be careful choosing Catnapper as their material composition has declined over the years. (Comparing my original sofa to the one purchased four years ago). So frustrated and now looking for a replacement. Obviously Catnapper WILL NEVER be purchased by me again.

Sofa lounger, loveseat, wedge piece
Purchased a Catnapper Sofa and Chair at the end of 2018 purchased a wedge piece right after in 2019. All are cracking & peeling. The wedge piece looks like it has literally dry rotted. It's ready for trash. We are just heart broken for this furniture cost 2300.00 in total. I'm ashame to have guest over. I did call furniture store (Kings Furniture). They stated we didn't have a warranty & they gave me an upholstery business to contact. I didn't think we needed a warranty since it was supposedly top leather.. I would gladly participate in a class action lawsuit.
