unethical behaviour
I have a morkels account. Until recently I became unable to pay the full installment fee due to financial problems. I still pay a amount every month and call every month to make arrangements for this payment. I am constantly sent sms for full payments even though I call every month for arrangements. I have never had a bad credit record neither been able to not pay my accounts in full up till now. I called the jdg GROUP today to make yet another arrangement and also to see if my payment on the 1st of December was reflecting, as I have received numerous sms that my account was in arrears. I spoke to a man who was extremely rude and unwilling to help me. I was threatened and told my good would be collected and that I will be taken to court. I understand fully that my amount that needs to be paid every month, but due to circumstances out of my control, I cannot pay the full amount, so I have been paying a smaller amount each and every month and call each and every month to make an arrangements. I even let him speak to my employer as well. Surely the call was recorded, I know my rights and also know that If I pay an amount each month, then he cannot be threatening me the way he was.

I bought a few things from Hi Fi Corporation on account through their Hi Finance which is financed by JDG Trading and Maravedi, a week ago my home was broken in to, my goods stolen. I went through all the right channels, I then queried my account with JDG Trading to see if I was insured and if my goods would be replaced, to which I was told it would be, I was told that they would do their on investigation and seeing as I am insured, they will then replace the goods. When I went to Hi Fi Corporation on Friday, I was rudely greeted by on of the clerks, then told that I only have life insurance, so when I die, they are covered, but that I don't have replacement insurance as they no longer do that. But that is not what I was told. I was assured that my goods would be replaced, that is why I went through Hi Finance, because of the insurance so that I would have peace of mind incase anything happened. I am not happy with them at the current moment. They haven't apologized nor have they tried to see if there is something we can do, these people don't care about their customers, so as a paying customer, why should I care about them?
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

During the months of May to July, the call center hired new part time employees for a two and a half month contract for a fixed amount of money. The agreement was that we will work from 8am till 5pm. A week and a half into the project, they demanded that we work unpaid overtime from 8am till 8pm, and promised that we would receive our money at the end of every second week. Half way into the contract we have still not been paid, but we were all offered permanent positions. I declined, but my colleagues all accepted as they desperately need the money. The general manager (Mitch Samuals) then used my CV that I submitted at the start of this contract, to apply me for all sorts of jobs in the JDG company without my consent. I told the general manager to undo what he did and he said directly that it’s not his problem and he won’t undo it. I still have not been able to unregister from all the things he set me up for as there is no option to delete my CV (with all my contact details, all my personal information) from it. The contract ends tomorrow, they refuse to pay me the money I'm due unless I accept a permanent job with the company (a very unfair job position and offer). During these last 2 weeks I have been harassed both physically and mentally and insulted by the general manager (Mitch Samuals) and his colleagues. I have been yelled at, sweared at, told I'm an idiot, told that I am an “useless black ### ###” without any reason, Mitch Samuals has taken photos and videos of me while I was working and sent them to his friends and said I'm a [censored] in the videos, he even followed me into the women's bathroom once. Lately he has been following me to my car. Its bordering sexual harassment and I am scared as well. As a South African female my human rights have been violated by this man and company, and I have nowhere to voice my complaints in the company as the people there do nothing about it. Furthermore, worse things have been done to the people who work the same position as me but they won't speak out as they desperately need the money. Please, somebody, help to fix this. Mitch Samuals, the general manager of the Randburg Contact Centre for JD Financial Services, is the main problem.
They will only debase your claim and try to cover it up with lies and claims of "investigation", such as posted previously by that "wonderful" member of management. The sad truth is that no matter where we complain, nobody will listen, not even people in upper management or parts of the JD Group parent company, most likely because they treat their employees in the same way. There is no open door policy, just as you said. If everybody who has been treated wrongly by this company speaks up on here, somewhere, someone has to do something, but they are too afraid. Management threaten's the employees below them, I've seen it happen, if you even try to stand up for yourself, your threatened with dismissal. it has to make you wonder, what else have these people gotten away with that was left unspoken, especially to us women?
August has arrived, I have still not been paid, and to the member of management who sent that response, I want to make it very clear to You and the public that I DID complain to VARIOUS members at the branch. Your so called OPEN DOOR POLICY is a load of trash. I was told directly that I'm wasting my time, NOBODY would pass along the complaint as they all fear the general manager. I complained to the senior manager on duty at the time, as well as to some members in the Human Resources department, I even told managers in the other departments such as the debt collectors, they all told me that I should just leave it and that there is nothing I can do. My friends who still work there have done me the favor of keeping an eye on the events in that branch, so far NO INVESTIGATION took place and its been 2 weeks since you received this complaint. Your values and policies are worth nothing when you spew lies just to cover your company's reputation. While I worked there, the branch was visited by two MAIN members of the JD group parent company, they did their sort of inspection, one of the men was a director of the parent company I believe. The morning he paid his visit, but before he arrived the same manager I complained about yelled at us all to make it appear as if we are working when he passes through, meanwhile the computer systems have been down for 3 days, we were told to come to work, sit and make it look like we are busy doing something while in fact we were just wasting a lot of our time. We werent paid for sitting there, we werent compensated for the transportation expenses we had to lay out every day, hell I still havent been paid a cent for more then 2 month's work that I did for your company. Mark this ticket closed if you wish, but the public has to be informed of all your wrong doings, and to anyone who is considering seeking employment within JD Financial, this is exactly what you will be faced with every day. What Anon2013 said is true, there are some wonderful people in that branch, but the management is pathetic and corrupt especially your "OPEN DOOR POLICY" that proved to have no credibility at all.
I have submitted a claim on the warranty I have on my bed at Russell Germiston branch. On the 23rd May 2016 i have paid in on the warranty. It was suppose to take 6 weeks for my new mattress to be delivered. I get one excuse after another. It is now 12 weeks and I am still waiting. All the airtime i have used to follow up I could have bought a new bed! Who is going to compensate me?
I am currently working for JDG Finacial Service in Randburg and i have a problem with my supervisor, Oriel. He told me about the job openings and i applied and got the job. A month after i had started he started threating me and treating me unfairly, because i refused to be in a realtionship with him. I approached Sussan, the snr manager and all she did was dismiss the whole problem and told me that i have a target to reach and should make that a priority. I then approached Sheldon, the HR manager and he assured me that he would speak to my supervisor and will let me know the out come of this. What is this open door policy? There is no such at this particular company. If your supervisor and snr manager like you, you stay, if not you simply out of a job. The staff of JDG fear speaking out as that will result in you not getting your contract renewed. This company needs to be exposed for their ill threatment. The contract that i have states that if they need you to work additional hours they will let you know 24 hours in advance, however on 07/08/2012 at 15:40 we were told that the following day all staff members were expected to come in from 10am - 7pm and it was not up for discussion. This is a violation of my human rights. What has JDG and it's management got to say about this?
I have worked for this company before and something similar has happened to me, though not as severe, but with the same manager. On many occasions I was scolded without due reason, I was humiliated in front of other staff, and the manager did have a disturbing attitude that made me feel very uncomfortable around him. I'm a white woman, and he a black man, and I dare mention that he treats "non-black" staff differently then black staff. I did approach other staff members at that time but my complaints fell on deaf ears or, as I was told by staff that worked there during the time, they do not wish to take the case further as the manager is already giving them trouble as it is and they do not wish to "lose the employment that their families depend on". All that said, I should mention that there are other staff members in that same contact centre that are absolutely wonderful and were a joy to work with.

From the outset, it should be noted that it is imbedded in our Group's policy and values to ensure a safe and non threatening environment for all people whom are engaged by our Company, may it be employees, contractors, customers or the like.
Unfortunately the complainant named "Jevash" did not approach management or our group Human Resources department with her issue, thus it was only by viewing this site that we became aware of the allegations. It disappoints us that the individual did not approach management who has and always will have an open door policy as far as such matters are concerned, to find a resolution to the complaint. We have fully investigated this matter, taken appropriate action and regard this matter as closed.
scam and theft!
Came home from work to find the wife could not say no to a carpet cleaning demo for the Kirby Sentria. Basically nothing bad went on to my knowledge other than I suspected that when I asked if the cleaner he demoted was actually right out of the box or was I buying the demo that was used at prior homes I was told the unit was brand new, never used anywhere but in my home. I was charged a lot of money for a cleaner but can't really complain about this as I've seen much worse.
The 'sales manager' had promised to bring us a sample of Kirby products and did so 2 days after our initial purchase. My wife was at ease with this guy by now and did not feel alarmed when he asked to use the bathroom. And then remembering the logical one was probably a mess (kids) she directed him to the master bathroom.
Well, all I know is this - My wife could not locate the diamond engagement ring I gave her 16 years ago. I searched to the point I was sure that it was not in the house.
Today an ex worker for this guy gave me quite a bit to think about. He confirmed that the cleaner was used at many homes as a demo prior to the sale to us. He told us what what our price should have been for this cleaner. Well, that's not my biggest problem as it's not THAT bad in my opinion. But when then casually told us that his boss was bragging to his friend about stealing something from us, and said he think it was some jewelry I knew that I could not allow this to go without some sort of action by me. Cheat me on a sale is one thing - I did not have to say yes. But walk through my home as a Kirby representative and steal the diamond solitaire ring given to my wife when we dated is beyond belief - I'm not sure exactly what my course of action will be but I have to do something about this mess.

I made a call at 09h10 2016-12-06 and I was transferred to your debt review department and no one picked up the phone.
I did a bed lay buy at sleep masters in December, a week later I asked for a refund because I had bought a bed elsewhere. That was on the 9th of December. No one calls me, when I go to the branch where I bough the bed no one gives me an answer. I need my money.
Order product #[protected], on 27 August 2018, and after complaining twice to JD Group, changed status to be delivered on 5 September to be delivered on 10 September, it is now 17 September and still no delivery or status change.
I've never experienced such in incompetence my entire life! Why do you take my money then send me treating messages that i owe? I sincerely doubt there is someone who will call me. I will return your TV on weekend - I just can't anymore.
