I hired Johnson Storage and Moving LLC for my move from Georgia to Kansas. After the move, a couple in [location] contacted me. They had four of my boxes and they found me on Facebook. I reached out to Johnsons about the problem and they said they would fix it. They asked me to have the boxes shipped by [date] and they would reimburse me. I did as they asked and sent the receipt and proof of payment to them. However, despite multiple calls, texts, and emails, I have not received any reimbursement. I just want my money back. It's important to note that my current address is different from the address they delivered to.

My family moved from Long Island to *** on 7/10/2022. Unfortunately, it was a nightmare of a move using this company. They changed the amount per sq foot in my original contract from $3.85 per cf to $4.00, which was not what we agreed upon. We ended up having more sq feet than expected, even though I clearly informed the representative about our belongings. As a result, they charged us an additional $900. Moreover, they delivered our items late, despite the contract specifying that we needed them on a Wednesday. When I called to inquire, the person on the phone insulted me and questioned my ability to read. They demanded an extra $250 because they were supposed to stop at a storage unit across the street first. Initially, when I mentioned the storage unit, I was told there would be no extra charge since it was nearby. Finally, when we received our items, a day later than expected, we discovered that my good dishes, including teacups and saucers, were broken. My stemware, which included wine glasses and a martini glass, was also shattered. Additionally, my daughter's desk was broken, and our bedroom furniture, including my daughter's dresser and bedframe, had scratches. I am extremely disappointed with the entire experience. While I can understand going over on sq feet, the disrespect and attitude I encountered were completely unwarranted. Furthermore, the broken items hold sentimental value, as they were given to me by my grandmother and had never been used. My daughter cherished her desk, and now it's ruined. This move was a complete disaster from start to finish. I was deceived, treated unfairly, and overcharged simply because I am a woman.

I hired them for their full-service package, which means they were responsible for packing and safeguarding my belongings. However, upon delivery, I discovered numerous broken and damaged items, including some irreplaceable broken furniture. I expected minor wear and tear, but was appalled to find special packaging items utterly ruined. This includes unique plates, tea sets, porcelain Victorian figurines, and a Vintage Singer Table Sewing Machine with a broken leg. I attempted to report this to the company, but their 'Contact Us' feature is unresponsive, and my calls have been ignored. We even had to purchase new couches to use for two weeks before establishing contact. I've included photos of the damage and seek your assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you.

On September 30 and October 1, 2022, the movers arrived in Catskill to load the truck and deliver the contents to an undisclosed location. We weren't informed that everything required boxing, including vacuum-sealed items. Confirming pick-up and drop-off times was challenging. I called them the day before, and they mentioned the possibility of needing two days but aimed to complete by 9 am. Consequently, we incurred a $147 hotel expense for an overnight stay. Despite the contract specifying loading on September 30 and delivery on October 1, and our rental agreement starting on October 1, the movers planned an early delivery at 7 am but arrived at 8:30. They overcharged us by $600 due to additional boxes and a kayak, contrary to our agreement. Contacting the company revealed misinformation provided during contract setup. The movers hastily packed and loaded items, leaving no time for labeling, causing confusion between items destined for storage and those for the apartment. The movers, who were bilingual, predominantly spoke Spanish and misused our bathroom facilities without permission, neglecting cleanliness. After lodging a complaint, we received a $100 discount. Additionally, we were offered to keep the moving blankets for $100. Despite repeated calls to the company, my concerns remain unaddressed. The initial customer service was pleasant, but subsequent interactions with the staff and movers were disappointing, resulting in an overcharge of $700 and an unnecessary hotel charge.
