Remove the sound for when you get it wrong
I have been playing Kahoot! a lot of times in school but the most thing I hate about Kahoot is the sounds it makes when you get it wrong and this is basically based on speed because the person who made or hosted the Kahoot could just put a 10 second timer and it goes down fast so we are forced to answer quickly and it doesn’t make sense why you need to be fast to answer questions because if you get one wrong by focusing and the fast person gets it right when they are like 1,000 points away they just for some reason get 1,000 points and beat the player infront of them and it doesn’t make sense For the player who is taking their time. And for the incorrect sounds they just go low and it starts to get annoying the more you play Kahoot and I have been playing it ever since 1st grade just get rid of the incorrect sounds and the extra points for speed. I’d also rather play quizziz or quizlet of prodigy instead of Kahoot
EPIICCC but needs a few changes
This game is epic I’m not saying anything like I hate it I’m just saying there is a few problems that are kind of taking the fun out of the game 1. problem when you put in an intro song it doesn’t show up unless you’re on the challenge its a little annoying but I didn’t take that much fun out of it I still got to play! 2. this is not really a problem it’s just that I would like to make it so then you can play around the world like for example you didn’t have to get 100 friends and make them come to your house just so that you can play Kahoot! Maybe can you make it so that you can have multiplayer but with random people around the world? 3. I am on an Apple iPad but it’s crashing even know I’m not on anything else and I have the best Internet it doesn’t make sense! And same for the other person it just deleted it self! But this time it did work to reinstall it. This is very confusing but I still love the idea of Kahoot!
Forced to pay
I’ve been using Kahoot! for so long, I didn’t expect this to happen. But now I have to pay to use features that used to be free, and I find this very annoying because I do not want to pay for this app. Please give back some feature to the free users please!
1. I feel like the standard one that we have to buy should be free, because that is what Kahoot! used to be like before you started charging us for basic things
2. There was also a problem when I was trying to save a game I made, it kept saying that there was a feature I used that I needed to pay for, but I went through the quiz and all the features I used were the basic ones, (which is not that many now). Now I can’t even save it without upgrading to standard.
I want to love this app, and I used too. But now that I have to pay for almost everything, I don’t want to use it anymore. Please consider making the standard plan free for users! I know many people would be happy!

Not worth it
Kahoot is a terrible way to learn.Kahoot is mainly focused on speed, which teaches kids to be inaccurate. If they get it wrong kahoot will give a disapproving message such as “You meant the other one, right?”This is might be upsetting to most kids. There are also inappropriate images and quizzes that are not suitable for kids.Kahoot forces kids to keep doing the same quiz over and over again just to get only a few emotes. If you are not sure what emotes are, they are rewards kahoot gives.Emotes are like emojis kids can use when they are in a hosted game.Kahoot shows you that you have different choices when making quizzes. But this is not the case.In the app, they will only give you two choices.Kids can not go against real people unless they are in a challenge or live hosted game.If you are a parent, please choose something else for kids like I-Ready.Do not choose this for your child.Do not waste your time.If you are reading this, developer you need to fix Kahoot.Thank you for reading this review.I hope this helps!
Love the game but really hard to play with friends and family if you don’t live with them
Single player kahoot is fun and all but should be more fun to play with friends and family! Instead it’s SO HARD to play with friends or family unless you have them at your house that way they can see your screen! I tried to play with my friends. We went in a game and told everyone the code then started I had to say every ANSWER and the QUESTION they had never played kahoot before and I tried to tell them how to play. One of my other friends called one of my friends and they answered so now we have another player but some of my friends went somewhere and called my friend right back then we went in a game on kahoot with her and she made an account so she made a game and we all played it but then a couple games after my brother says he wants to play I say ok and he plays but when we got in a game of one of my friends he HATED that he couldn’t see the answers and question so he left on the first question!
Please make it so the players of a kahoot can see the question and answers not just the shapes and colors.
USED to be highly recommended
This app is great!I don’t really know if I have any suggestions; it’s all there!I am a dog expert and I make quizzes for my mom and my sister so they can learn about them.My mom is really progressing, she can almost tell mixed breeds!I honestly don’t know what else to say except for:whoever is looking for a “making your own quiz” app or a “doing trivia” app,I would (like I said in the title) highly recommend it for you guys!
Edited: Hi guys hope ur having a good day,I normally don’t put bad reviews on apps but the new update really changed the app.It keeps telling you to “buy the bundle” and it is only for kids!Sure,I’m a kid but I’m not 4 years old!Maybe, if there is sry I didn’t notice, you should ask if the player is a certain age because I’m pretty old and this app is way to young for me.I mean,u can’t lose!I know, always winning sounds cool but mostly when your a toddler, now in the rocket speed quiz it is pretty much like ur invincible lol.Hopefully the developers change the update because now I can’t play the game!

I love Kahoot
Kahoot! can quickly become a go-to for teachers looking to run quick and lively checks for understanding or exit tickets. Try establishing something like Kahoot! Fridays for quick review. If you don't have time to make quizzes, search millions of public Kahoots to play or remix. Go beyond memorization of facts and allow Kahoot! to introduce scenario questions/prompts with multiple decisions; stimulate conversation from the results. Insert slides between questions to introduce additional information, allowing Kahoot! to become a content-delivery platform. Quiz templates make it really easy to build a thoughtful learning experience that does more than solicit rapid-fire recall. Build a "collection" of quizzes and share the collection with students. The asynchronous features are great for independent review and distance learning.
Don't forget professional development. Use the Team mode to pose pedagogical questions and promote food-for-thought discussions among colleagues and cohorts. Use Kahoot! to break the ice at the beginning of the school year or bond with members of the learning community.
Annoyed and frustrated
I have been playing Kahoot ever since is first came out when I was still in school and when I got older and I found out that you could make kahoots for fun I fell in love with marking them. I have made a bush of them but when I made them to be public they won’t let me save them so people can play them they just keep saying that somethings need to be updated but your guys version of “updating” is buying one of the your guys “plans” when I don’t even want to buy one and when I figure out how to make them public I log into my settings to change my profile from student to personal it wouldn’t let me change it even though I looked up a video that let the person on the video change his profile and I did exactly what the pop-up asked on create.Kahoot.it by using Kahoot Support for help see if I can change it there or call someone that can change it for me and even on the support help it said that I couldn’t change it. Please this is been a huge pain in my side and a really huge waste of my time. I still love Kahoot but I would love it a lot more if you can change up some stuff on your settings.
Thank you
Poorly designed
I’m an educator and I’ve repeatedly tried to make Kahoot work for my classes. They have strict character limits that make it unusable for more complex questions/answers. Thankfully, they now have a work-around that allows you to import slides. So this morning, I spent several hours of my precious time setting up a kahoot with imported slides. After several hours of work to set it up (precious hours of an overworked, underpaid educator’s time, time that I could have used grading, preparing other lessons, etc., time that I will NEVER GET BACK), it wouldn’t let me publish the kahoot without entering my credit card information. They wanted me to authorize a $180 charge on my credit card (after the 7-day “free trial”) just to use the quiz game I had already spent hours creating. I am LIVID. I know these marketing techniques are common, but using them on overworked, underpaid teachers (especially during a pandemic) is just plain cruel and disrespectful They shouldn’t have allowed me to import my slides and go through all that effort. And they really need to get rid of the character limits. (People have been asking them to do so for years, but I guess this would undermine their scheme).
free education tools
hello. i understand that you need to make money, but do you think charging people to make a kahoot the best option? so many of us either aren’t paid because we are in high school or middle school, or don’t have enough money because we have to spend money on other things to survive or we are underpaid or both. I am speaking out for all of the teachers, the families, the students who don’t have the money to spend on this. Money isn’t life, money is honestly made up. It is created to put value on other things. And money is losing its value. We already have to pay for quizlet. now we have to pay for this? AND YOU ALLOW us to make a kahoot, to HELP US LEARN AND STUDY, and then an hour later when we our finished, we can’t “post” it because we don’t have the stupid plan that you want us to have. PEOPLE ARE STRUGGLING RIGHT NOW AND ARE RELYING ON DOING GOOD IN SCHOOL TO PAY FOR COLLEGE AND/OR GRADUATING SO THEY CAN GET A JOB TO PAY THE BARE MINIMUM. and please do not say “the reason why you can’t publish your kahoot is because you don’t have this certain plan that you need to have.” I know i don’t have that plan because I can’t afford it. so thank you for taking away my last study option, i greatly appreciate it.
Everyone please look AT THIS review. You will learn a lesson
I hate this website because of your praise for talent. EVERY TIME A PLAYEr ANSWERS a QUESTION IT SAYs “pure genius?” “classroom perfection” AnYTHING that praises talent and I want EVERYONE to know this. When you are praising talent you make players feel stupid when the get a problem wrong and make a player feel smart when they get a problem right when you praise like that. People will feel judged when you say this because if they get a problem wrong they will think their stupid. And when they get problem around you sometimes say “better luck next time” AND YOU DIDN’T EVEN SAY TO WORK HARD TO GET THIS QUESTION RIGHT all you said was better luck next time. That’s makes players believe in that they could get a question right by Luck instead of skill. Really luck comes from working hard and when you see pure genius your classroom perfection or like better luck next timeYou make players believe in talent and think that they could get everything by lick instead of skill. 1 billion people use this device so people would very trust you that you could help people learn and if they do trust you they will your praise, and if you’re trusting your praise they will trust talent and luck. You may teach people good things on the outside but really you are teaching people that you could get everything by luck instead of skill.
DEVELOPERS, PLEASE READ ME
Kahoot is an amazing way to simply create school quizzes or just a fun family trivia.
I know that this doesn’t Count as the app but I have had some trouble on kahoot’s website. Now I know you’re immediate thought, this guys review has nothing to do with the app. You are definitely correct. Nowadays it’s so hard to rate stuff online because the developers can’t take criticism. Basically it’s a classic non-existent complaint box situation. I say this in almost all of my reviews, not everyone is fortunate to have amazing WiFi. I know this already is getting ridiculous, but I’m about to get to the complaint part.
Anyways, my WiFi is super horrible so this isn’t entirely Kahoot’s fault. I just think that Kahoot should not require such high speed internet to complete, only the simplest of tasks, such as even being able to save you’re work. I know you’re thinking that this guy is super impatient, but the screen flat out said that it could not save after a few tries.
I know that this is probably more of a problem for the Kahoot support team, but I for one don’t want to speak to some random person. 2, I don’t want to speak to some one who is just going to put me on hold for an hour and I don’t want to listen to them blame the issue that I’m complaining about on me.
Point being, don’t require such high speed internet and make a way to save you’re work offline. I know it’s a lot to ask but I really enjoy Kahoot and hope that I can still use it.
Note to cellphone providers: please only sell the amount of cellphone contracts that you have the capacity for. And think about people who live in the country.
Kahoot! This needs uupdates so it is more fun!
Wow‼️this is a game where you have to be an IT specialist to work around everything. It is hard to make a Kahoot and tough to try to play one. Now I know how to because I'm good at stuff like this, but for others, it can be difficult. I love Kahoot, I play it with friends, family, classmates. I love it but it needs a lot more updates so it can be more fun and easier for people to play. Here are my recommendations:
1. When you are playing a game you can not see the question or the answers on the screen, which makes it hard to play because you have to look at one screen and then the other, to see your choices and your Question. Can you please make this happen in the setting option?
2. When you choose a personal plan where you don't have to pay, it doesn't give you a lot of images to choose from. Can you please add some more pictures to the plan where you're not paying?
3. With the new update where you can have a collection of Kahoots, all in one is confusing. It's shared with the public when you make a collection and I can't seem to turn it off. Is it a glitch? Can you please help me only to me?
4. When you on an iPad, iPhone, or iTouch you can't do collections, folders, assign a bitmoji for your contact picture, and you can't save it when you want it to be a draft and you can't make it a draft when it's saved. Can you please update this?
5. When you are not paying you aren't getting a lot of stuff and you can't do a lot of things for example you can't do the type feature or the puzzle feature and we have to pay to get it which isn't fair to some people who can't pay. Can you please make more things able in the none-pay plan?
That is it but please listen to my updates and take them into your consideration. Thank you!
Love It!
I started playing Kahoot! at school a couple of years ago. I was unsure about it at first, but once I started playing it, it instantly became one of my favorite things ever. Within a week or so, I had created my first kahoot, a grammar quiz. I had just started out with the app at the time and was still learning its features, but I loved it so much. I remember how happy I was when I got my family and friends to play the kahoot, and it ended up having almost 50 players!
In December, I created a new account because I wanted to start fresh. I now have made over 20 kahoots, and my profile has more than 1,100 total players total! Kahoot! has allowed me to share my knowledge with family, friends, and others. Thanks to Kahoot!, our family now plays trivia on Saturdays, and it has connected us during the pandemic.
In addition to making kahoots, I also play a lot. The content created by Kahoot! and its partners is interesting and engaging. Kahoot! also has games about pretty much any topic, so you can play to your heart’s content.
If there was one improvement I would want made to Kahoot!, it would be the accessibility. The accessibility is already very good, but there are minor details that make it harder to use at times. For example, on the “Active Games” tab, VoiceOver reads every game as “Opens it”. You have to select each individual game to see what it is called. Also, you can’t select a theme within the app, and topics on the homepage are not displayed as headings, making it very hard to find the topic I’m looking for.
For anyone who wants to learn and have fun while doing it, you should download Kahoot!, because it allows you to create your own games, play games created by others, stay engaged, and learn a lot along the way.
Some amazing features with some big pitfalls
Kahoot! has such great features to make playing interactive and group games engaging and fun. It’s really easy to build Kahoots and test and deploy them. The new 360 version, while more expensive then I would like has some nice add-on’s and enhancements.
I won’t go over all the great features of Kahoot! because is a huge list and they have done a great job, and I don’t want my feedback to not reflect the numerous positives about Kahoot.
Here is where I’ve got some major issues with Kahoot!
1. Allow interactive game play where answers show up on people’s devices! Kahoot! has a comment forum where they have SO MANY that have asked for that feature. They give the excuse that would take away from the interaction. It’s a weak excuse at best and it shows they don’t listen to their clients. Also the forum is silent from Kahoot where some C level rep should get on and really listen and learn what their clients are saying and not just have the portrayed feeling IMHO that they know better and aren’t going to change. Having the OPTION where we as the Kahoot! creator could decide if we want answers on the screen for interactive games (or not) would make a huge difference because then WE decide what is best for our group, not Kahoot! The two screen method doesn’t work in SO many situations. Too many people don’t have two screen ability or can’t go back and forth fast enough, etc. Kahoot already has it with its self paced game, now just enable it fore interactive games.
2. Have the ability to randomize the colors per slide, so even if I put the correct answer on a certain color when building the slides, having the option to select if it wil randomize the colors would be great.
3. Have a multi select limit option. If I enable multi-select, I can’t specify how many I want to allow (eg 2 or 3 or all).
4. Give the ability to have the images full screen and have the questions on top of that entire background image.
5. Let me have the option to disable music right from the creation screen. Having to go and quickly turn the volume down is a pain and distracting. I’m sure they would love Kahoot! Music to be as common as the jeopardy theme song, but again let me decide when to enable it.
6. Come up with more learning game options, that take Kahoot games to the next level
7. Let me create a self paced quiz where we have the option to not display the correct answer. For example, if I want to do a pre assessment before a training or class, I don’t want to show them the right answers. Let me have the ability to turn it answers off or on. Also it would be great if I could give them correct answers after the entire quiz (or send them after and show them what they got correct/incorrect.
8. Listen and respond to your clients. I realize this feedback has more to do than the app, but seeing the frustrations of so many who give feedback on their forum and having no interaction or a “we know best” type response (is how it’s feels to me) is a huge red flag to your clients. I hoped putting it here would get traction and help them see that we want to take all the great Kahoot features and make it better.
I think Kahoot has done and incredible job and can make it so much better and help interactive distant learning be dramatically better than the two screen method we currently face.
Kahoot! Play & Create Quizzes Complaints 11
Is usually really good!
I love Kahoot, it’s a nice, fun game to play and quiz yourself and others on. I took a pretty big break from using it on my account, so yesterday I tried logging in but it made me fill out my information, like my birthday, e-mail, etc. I didn’t mind, but it after a couple tries it didn’t work. It was telling me either my email or password was incorrect, but neither of them were incorrect. I had a couple Kahoots made on there, so I’m upset I can’t log back in.
Other than that, it’s great! It works perfectly fine (again, other than that issue that has happened recently).

Bugs for everyone?
I’ve had the app for class for about 3-4 months, and whenever my teacher(s) host a Kahoot game (mostly my Spanish 1 teacher) the app will NOT load! I’ve tried using it on the schools WiFi and even my data, but every time I go to type in the pin code, it will not load. I’ve deleted the app, and I’m about to re-download it to see if it’ll fix it, but I don’t know if it will.
It’s been doing this to every friend I know that also has the Kahoot! app, and it also does it if I try to go to Kahoot in the safari browser for the iPhone.
Is it a bug involving iPhones only, or is it affecting everyone?

My kahoots disappeared
I spent 4 whole hours on my kahoots, and then after a while, they were gone. Is there anyway I can restore my kahoots? This is so MAJOR of a bug. It deleted all of my 16 levels, and now I lost my kahoots. I know you didn’t sacrifice my kahoots on purpose, this could only happen from a glitch. My kahoots went away, and I had no favorites. Please please fix this, Otherwise I am never downloading this game again. First, Pokémon Unite, Second, Animal Jam, Third, Bricks Ball Crusher, and now this! I hate me being treated unfairly.

Used to be good, the new update is
I’m a student trying to create a Kahoot, it won’t let me add anything but a question and true or false. I wanted a slide or a poll, I’m a student working in science and the Earth, Thank you. The class needed a ‘Kahoot’ so I went ahead and tried making one, The teacher said “You need a poll and slide.” I’m not pleased, in the last version, or a few versions ago, you could use everything for free, now, it’s just pay to win, thank you for reading my review, if this helped, mind changing it? Thanks! (Also everything is pay to win, they made it so you have to pay for everything. Including making it public, and adding more players.)

What is this supposed to be?
I just don’t get it. We downloaded Kahoots to play quizzes with kids but most of them seem to be really above kid level or they don’t seem to be quizzes at all. A lot of them seem like they are just lectures on what or how we she think or feel. I understand people are allowed to make their own quizzes but if it’s not really a quizz then, what is this even for? I just deleted the app because it’s too hard to find an actual quiz or anything age or grade appropriate. If it had better quizzes and they moderated them to some degree to ensure they are actually quizzes, and maybe had age and grade level categories we’d probably use it again.

Love the app but hard to play with a few friends or over the phone
Please please please let people be able to see their answers on their own screens. I want to play with people over the phone and stuff so putting the question and answers on their screen would be amazing. I’ve seen a lot of comments that ask for this to happen and I think it would be a great idea. It would also help people who are nearsighted or unable to look up at a screen and pick their answer on their device. It would also make playing with a small control device(like if you just want to play with your friends and you don’t have a computer) easier. Please at least make this an option. If this happens I will definitely give 5 stars

Value Proposition No Where Near the Asking Price
This app is promising, yet it’s complete garbage when the cost comes into the evaluation equation. The “premium” features that are locked in Kahhoot! are available in competitor apps for a quarter of the price Kahoot! Offers. This seems like a mediocre app that’s price gouging because it’s solution is in high demand due to things like a pandemic that force people to learn remotely, so it seems to me that’s the motivation behind this unreasonable subscription price that nowhere near matched the value the app has to offer. No wonder why Google’s education apps partner with a much reasonable Quizlet App and not Kahoot! Thumbs down on this app.

Games won’t start or load…. Very disappointed
I initially found out about Kahoot! Through my daughters homeschool. I absolutely loved the games. Her teacher gave her a free student pass but she loved it so much I went ahead and purchased it. She can only access games while in class and it’s only the games her teacher creates. Anytime she tries to open one of the games we downloaded and paid for the screen freezes. Im glad that there’s something educational out there that she’s excited to use but it’s discouraging for her when she can’t even use it and has to settle for something else. It’s hard keeping her interest in learning. This isn’t helping. I’d love to see the issue resolved rather than having to delete it altogether. Thx.

Great but not really
It's a great idea but to help others that are not in the same area or room not so much. The questions and choices need to be on the pad that is trying to answer the questions so they can see what they are answering. If you can't see the main computer with the questions and choices on it you just have a bunch of colors and shapes on your device and you have no clue what you are answering or choosing to answer. I hope this helps. It may be a bit confusing but I would like to actually use this app with other people in my college class, we just cannot be in the same room at the same time to study; we're at home or something. Can you please fix this? I think it will benefit you all a whole lot...

Epitome of sunken cost fallacy
Growing up I loved playing kahoot games in class and with friends to study. I get that app developers and investors need money, but their financial strategy is slimy. Before I signed up to make a Kahoot account, I checked that the free version still included all the features I needed. 20 minutes into creating a set, I find out that there’s a character limit (aka with a free account you are limited to sets with like 5 questions). Since I had already invested my time, I decided to purchase one month premium subscription. Even though the subscription levels are priced monthly, you can only purchase an annual subscription…grrrr. So instead of spending $9 on something that used to be free, I saved $108 by completing my game on a free platform.

Business Model is Built on Deceit
As an online educator who’s always on the lookout for interactive technology I could use in class, I tried Kahoot’s 7-day free trial. Of course I wouldn’t be able to access its features unless I link it to my PayPal. Then, forgot all about it until I was charged $180! True, I should have read the fine details that said after 7 days it will AUTOMATICALLY charge my card. But if you’re a harassed online educator like me, you easily forget these things. Would it have killed their business to alert customers that their cards would be charged? Of course they won’t generate a lot of income this way, but if their products are indispensable to people, they would cough up the money and not be coerced into using it simply because they have already paid $180. Kahoots business model thrives by catching people off-guard.
