We bought a $3000 white gold engagement ring from Kay's. We bought the lifetime warranty also. Only after the 90 day return mark was up did I notice the white gold fading significantly. I didn't have the ring for a few weeks of this 90 period as it was out being sized (and to my unaware also being dipped). I have only had the ring since Nov.2013...this is August 2014. I had been led to believe that I might have to have it dipped once or twice in my life. I have already had to have it sent off 3 (if not 4, I've lost count but I know at least 3) times to be re-dipped. And I'm being told there is nothing that can be done outside of the 90 day return policy except trade it in and to double up in value. In my venture to try to get them to make this right I have been told they were going to get me an identical "rental", that I could wear while mine was out being dipped every couple of months. I was also told by this same store manager that the ring itself could be a fluke. And she promised to make it right one way or the other whether it be the rental ring or a total replacement. When I came back to the store she told me it couldn't be done. Needless to say I am not buying our wedding bands at Kay's. ~Amanda Henderson

They lost my engagement ring in the store and have done absolutely nothing to make me feel better. Me and my fiancé are really upset.
Purchased ring and bracelet for Christmas and was told with this amount of purchase I would be given a card good for $100 to use later. When I tried to use the card - I was told I had to spend $300 more to get to use the card. THIS WAS NOT WHAT I WAS TOLD EARLIER WHEN I MADE FIRST PURCHASE.
We purchased A $ 5, 000 dollar wedding ring had it just about a year diamond fell out took it to be repaired on 4-27-11 due to be back 6-1-11 keep calling them to locate my ring now the company is telling me it could be the end of july untill I get my ring back this is outragous who does this and expects to continue to get business
Ordered and paid for an item with two day shipping for anniversary. Item arrives six days after item ordered. Insulted by "customer service." (what an oxymoron). Will never order from them again, and will never recommend. You have been warned. Don't be sorry and make the same mistake I made.
Bought a expensive diamond necklace less than 5 months ago. Worn about 10 times. Clasp breaks. I take it back to Kay and was told should have bought there warranty policy. How about you sell merchandise that last more than 6 months. Never again. Have probably spent more the $10, 000 at Kay Jewelers over the past 20 years. Not another dime.
I WILL TELL YOU AND ANYONE WHO READS MY COMMENT HERE: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A JEWELRY WARRANTY!
PEOPLE PLEASE STOP PURCHASING THESE ALLEGED JEWELRY WARRANTIES BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT REAL!
MOST OF THESE JEWELERS WILL "NEVER" HONOR THE JEWELRY WARRANTIES YOU'VE SPENT YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON, SO DON'T BE FOOLED INTO PURCHASING THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Bought rings and have been unsatisfied with their service. Would never buy anything from Kay Jewelers again!
I am going to trade my wives rings also, so I don't have to go back to Kay Jewelers for anything!
It clearly states the certificate has NO CASH VALUE and it's good for money off a future purchase. Some people. Wow. It's sad but reading isn't a requirement to buy jewelry, clearly.
