Keeper password manager
I initially tried the free trial of Keeper Password Manager, and I found it a bit clunky. Extra characters kept popping up and despite discussing this with their support team, the issue persisted. Despite this, I was impressed with their quick and kind support, so I decided to purchase a one-year subscription. My partner also committed to a three-year subscription.
Unfortunately, the product continued to be hard to use on my mobile — more of a chore than a help. Disappointed, I requested a refund after only a week of usage, having paid for an entire year. To my surprise, Keeper brought up GDPR law as an excuse to refuse my refund. When I proposed they charge me for a month and refund the rest, their response was that my subscription would simply end at the end of the year. This didn't address my issue, and at this point, I started to lose trust in the company.
My partner, facing similar difficulties, also requested a refund. Yet again, Keeper cited GDPR law and implied we'd received three years' worth of value, despite not even a day of usage. This was both baffling and frustrating.
Anticipating that they might not automatically issue the referral voucher, I requested it explicitly while stating that they should hold onto it until we resolved the refund issue. Despite this clear instruction, they issued the voucher anyway. When I raised the issue with their support again, they pointed out that I had already claimed the voucher. This left me feeling both upset and disappointed. It seemed to me like a shady business tactic, further eroding my trust.
While their support staff appeared polite, their policies seemed desperate and greedy. The product did not deliver the value I had expected, and I simply want to get my money back for the service I did not find useful.
I appreciate the space to share my experience here, and I hope others don't have to go through the same ordeal.
Desired outcome: Refund for the 11 months not used minus the amazon voucher value. Refund for my partner who has already requested it.

I have been charged an automatic payment for Keeper security that I apparently signed up for last year. While I have used the service in the past I no longer use it. The payment was taken from my account today without warning and I would have cancelled it if I had been made aware it was pending. I have now cancelled the subscription, however, would like to request a refund on the payment taken

I purchased 3 years of a password management service and I did not like it. I should be able to get a prorated refund on the time I did not use. I sent an email asking for a prorated refund and was denined. I am not asking for a full refund, just a prorated. I have emailed them many times with issues and they were not able to get some of them resolved. I initally asked for a refund but they used a tatic of asking why I wanted a refund (even though I stated it in the email). I then briefly changed my mind and then started having issues again. I then asked for a refund a second time and now they said it was too late. They should have cancelled my account the first time and refunded me and I wouldn't be going though this now. This is not the way to do business!

I ordered software online for a password assistance package for my family. I decided to use it on my own first to make sure that it was easy to use as they suggest in there materials. I found it to be extremely hard to use for me after playing around with it for a couple of weeks. I know that I'm more computer savvy than others in my family and if I'm having issues with it then they would probably have more issues using it. So I decided to uninstall it from my computer and browser and request a refund. When I approached the company for this they refused to refund my $157.48 saying it's in their terms of service. I've actually never heard of this before with any product or service. Any other time for any other product or service I've always been offered a refund if I'm not using the product.

I purchased an annual subscription to a Keeper Family Plan + BreachWatch Family on May 7 (receipt attached). After using it for nearly a year, I decided the product was not for me and decided to cancel my subscription well prior to May 7. I thought 2 weeks would be sufficient. On April 12, I received an automated message from Keeper stating that my account was expiring in 30 days. On April 17, I noticed that my credit card had a pending transaction from Keeper. On April 18, I sent an email to Keeper support stating that I was not going to renew my subscription (which was still not due for 14 business days) and that I wished to have the pending charge refunded. Support told me (email thread included) that "the auto-renewal takes place prior to the expiration date to avoid service interruption". Unfortunately, when pressed, they could not say exactly how far in advance this is, which means the customer has no reasonable way to cancel in time without penalty.

This company has a free password vault for one device--no time limits on this use. They charge for, and make money, but charges for more than one device and syncing passwords between devices. I was using the free single use package to try it out. It was a nuisance because there were constant pop up to entice you to upgrade and no way to stop those. I found the interface a bit awkward to use, as it required a lot of pointing and clicking to activate various passwords. It was distracting and slow because of all the popup and having to click "No" on upgrading. Then I started getting notices that my password vault was about to expire. I wrote them and was informed--this was the second time, that indeed my software would continue to work on one device. Then it disabled all my passwords, which makes my life very difficult now. I could have downloaded all these and had them handy in a text file to continue my daily functioning, but I was ASSURED it would continue. I contacted them directly, and they reset something to allow me to use their software again. I thought it was fixed. But after one day, it is broken again and they are asking for money, holding my data hostage to retrieve it.
