Order cancelled, charged anyway
I tried ordering with the app the other day and it said there was a problem with my card. Figuring it was a glitch, I retried the transaction, no dice. I tried reentering the card information and ordered one more time. Received a message saying that my card information was bad. In the app I received notifications that my orders had been cancelled. I then go to look at my card and find I’ve been charged 3 times for the orders placed. To make matters worse, I tried emailing the email address provided in the app and it bounced back as an invalid email address. Hoping I’ll get my money back on those orders I never received. Been days at this point, fingers crossed.

This app is very mediocre. Personally I prefer to avoid contact with all people and just order my stuff online and you can’t really do that with this app. It overcharges you it’s like $24 for a $20 fill up. Not worth the extra $$$$ to save a few minutes. I know it’s a new app so I’m giving it 3 stars because it will get improved. It is missing a rewards system or even a coupon system. To me it appears that they are using a third party system such as Uber eats when you place a mobile order for pick up and that’s why it costs more. Ordering through the app should offer rewards and convenience and this offers neither. It charges you more money which I can’t get over.

We have had KFC in our town for decades and I've never had a problem with an order using the drive thru.
I've used delivery a few times, with great success, but last night when they handed my delivery order to Door Dash they handed off all responsibility for my order. The Dasher never showed up. Never responded to my texts. So I got in the car and drove over and bought our dinner. Again.
Today the contractor that handles KFC customer care said they investigated and basically called me a liar. No refund for the customer that bought two dinners and only got one.
Don't have a freaking app if you have to job out delivery and farming out customer care. It's a original recipe for destroying your company image.

Useless if app doesn’t tell us accurately when order is ready
I give this app and the disorganized location on McCully Street in Honolulu very low marks. I submitted my order via the app at 6:07 pm and it told me my order would be ready at 6:13 pm. I arrive at 6:20 only to see the location changed my pick up time to 6:25, then 6:31, 6:41, 6:45 and 6:50 pm while I waited and waited and waited….I had even checked in to let the staff know I was here and was told I was 4 more orders away. I told the staff I’d be waiting outside and to come get me when my order was ready. Of course no one did and the app NEVER told me when my order was actually ready. I checked again when the ready time again changed to 6:50 only to find out my order was waiting for me. Extremely disappointing experience- will think twice before using this app again!
App order submission
When you order thru the app, there is no communication on your order when the store has issues.
I ordered thru the app in advance specifically to avoid a line.
However when I arrived the store lobby was closed due to staffing issues.
I had to wait thru the drive thru line, then only to find out they were out of extra crispy chicken and could not satisfy my order.
My option was to take original recipe, or go thru the app to try and get a refund… after already waiting thru the line.
I understand running out of product.
I understand being short staffed.
Turn off the online order option thru the store to alleviate issues like this.
I would not be as upset had I just arrived at the store and experienced these issues.
I am upset because the app offers a service it cannot in good faith fulfill.

The manager abruptly started shouting at us to leave they were closed really very rude talked down to us my partner was offended I assume he had a terrible night I hope each and every night is just awful for him the poor guy sounded very offensive language spewed from his filthy mouth. My partner was going to curse back to him but I waved her down and responded we need to take the high road. Worst experience here ever. This happened on Friday night about 10:09 pm close at 10:30 pm apparently they ran out of food a truck was unloading in the parking lot as we were trying to order an 8 piece meat only order the attendant was talking to us and the managed just came up and started acting unprofessional that were closed and to get lost in so many choice words. Terrible customer service I hood he gets fired.
Needs improvement. Employees need more knowledge
I had to say that my experience was definitely bad from downloading the app to picking up my order.
I placed an order, it showed estimated pick up time, I gave another extra 10 minutes and went to pick up. Order was not ready in the tray. After a while, they handed me the order, I tried to look for my name but employee just gave it like she knew its mine. I stepped back, checked it and it was someone else’s order. I gave it back and waited. In the app, the ETA kept moving further. And later they got my order but were about to hand it over to a different customer, I had to step in and get mine. The interesting part with the app is, it still kept moving my order estimated time pick up further and further even next day like my order hasn’t been picked up yet.
So I decided to delete the app because it’s better to just go in person and order.
Crashes and adds 20 minutes
This is for the consumers and the developer. I don’t usually write reviews but this app deserves zero stars.
It sometimes crashes when adding items to bag and other times when checking out.
This app will take your money and reschedule your pickup after you pay.
If you add a third item the app changes your pickup time 20 minutes after the time you scheduled your order pickup. This 20 minutes occurs when adding a third item to bag. It can even be an order of fries. The 20 minutes is added no matter how far in advance you schedule your pickup. I placed an order at 2 p.m. to be scheduled for pickup at 5 p.m. The app changed my pickup time to 5:20 AFTER I paid for my order. If a three hour heads up isn’t enough of a heads up for a fast food order please tell me how much in advance I need to place it. I couldn’t cancel the order in the app either.
Worst of all the major fast food chain apps by far
First of all, KFC needs to learn a lesson it still hasn’t learned in decades of evolving fast food competition. Mainly being make things easier, cheaper and more accurate for your customer along with tasty food. KFC has mostly had tasty food. The prices for what you get are high for the most part due to lack of easily obtained deals in this app. Heck, I JUST saw an ad for a 3.99 chicken sandwich on TV and the deal isn’t even in the app?! There are literally NO app deals in the app whereas Wendy’s, McDonalds, Subway, Taco Bell etc ALL have app deal exclusives and some type of loyalty reward digital coupons. Apps should ALWAYS have the best deals. It’s the point of downloading them and gobbling up data and the time in using them. Loyalty rewards etc tied to the app as well. Come on KFC stop giving us reasons to go to Popeyes or Church’s instead.
Just call in your order
I ordered and fully paid for my food through the KFC app , only to be told when I arrived at the location that: 1) they didn’t have most of what I ordered on hand, and 2) I would have to call KFC’s 800 number to cancel the order and get a refund, as the local store has no way of doing that.
So this app basically takes your payment upfront and then messages your order to the local store with no way of the store confirming that they can actually provide what you want at the time you requested. And then you find out after you’ve driven to the restaurant whether or not you will actually get your food, AND whether or not you will have to (like me) sit on hold for 15 minutes to request a refund from their customer service department.
Picking up the phone and calling in your order to the local KFC would give you instant feedback on whether you can get what you want, without paying for food you can’t get upfront.
Do not waste time on this app.
I would delete it twice if I could
Awful app does not change wait time what so ever I go into kfc EVERY-TIME I end up WAITING AND WAITING AND WAITING either as a customer or a doordasher I get frustrated because as a customer I am going to a fast food place hungry expecting to get my food FAST and I end up waiting 30-45 minutes for a few pieces chicken why would I do that when I can go to any nicer restaurant and dine in and order food and probably wait a shorter amount of time for a whole dine in entree. As a doordasher it’s beyond frustrating because I am on a roll with good earnings for the day and I am motivated to continue BUT THEN I go to Kfc and everything changes I end up losing my whole momentum just because I decided to accept a doordash order from kfc I end up waiting over 30 minutes! Keep in mind in that time I’ve just been waiting I don’t get paid I get a bad review instead for taking too long because kfc doesn’t have any chicken ready but somehow it’s my fault and I can never explain it because it’s no contact delivery

This app is as worthless as the day is long. Not a single coupon, deal or even incentive to use the stupid thing. You folks realize you are probably THE LAST fast food company that’s so greedy you can’t even bother to show the customers who floated you through a *pandemica modicum of appreciation? You disgust me. You’re like the banks we bailed out back in 2008; we bailed them out and they thanked us with foreclosures and higher interest rates, subprime mortgages and enough tears to fill an entire ocean…
Your “chicken” is garbage and what you put those poor birds through from birth to death is something every one of your smarmy higher ups should be forced to suffer…. I hear it’s more delicious and cost effective to breed two chickens together that should never breed, just so you can slaughter them at 13 weeks even though many die from suffering to death after their big fat legs break under their weight. Colonel Sanders is turning over in his grave I’m sure because of the way this food establishment has gone downhill. The chicken pieces are ridiculously small and have very little taste. The sides are pitiful. Biscuits are cold and hard. The service is terrible. Very unfriendly and seem to not care. This was a revisit from 6 or so months ago when it was just as bad. We were trying to give them another chance thinking it couldn’t be as bad, well we were wrong! IT WAS WORSE! We won’t go back. The prices were terrible also. We ordered the 8 piece bucket meal ( carry-out) thinking we’d have enough for next day also. Ha! We didn’t have enough meat on those eight pieces for one meal for the two of us. It was unbelievable! How can they continue in business like this? I’ve loved KFC since I was a little girl and have eaten at many different ones all over the US! This one is a bad example. I sincerely hope they correct the problems and get better chicken cuts and workers. If not, I hope it is closed in respect to Colonel Sanders.
Worst Experience Ever
what are KFC at 9900 block of E. Washington St. in Indianapolis the chicken was raw. The skin was uncooked and most of it missing missing.
I was so hungry I returned to the store to see if I can get the chicken replaced and it was replaced with what looked like normal chicken. However, when I got home I realized it was only brown on the top part and it was sitting in so much grease. It was an edible the chicken look like it had been refried and I was short a piece of chicken and the replacement
This has got to be the worst KFC ever I can’t believe when I went to return the chicken I was advised it’s delivery only after stressing that my chicken wasn’t done the young lady was happy to let me trade it off. However, when I got home, this chicken was just the same undone, greasy and an not edible I would’ve returned and requested my money back however, they close at 11 and it was about a 15 minute drive maybe 20 to get back to the store KFC if you have a hard at all if you want your customers to come back please replace my mail. It works kinda
The app desperately needs work. It’s missing a lot of menu items. I had assumed they were removed from the menu so ordered different then a then what I actually wanted. So when I got there I seen the actual menu and was disappointed with what I got because everything I wanted was still available. Just not in the app. Also ordered sauces with the app get charged for it. Get up to drive through window they ask did I want any sauces I said no just the ones I ordered with the app. The employees informed me they can’t actually see what sauces I requested. So if they didn’t as or I just assumed it was good. I would have paid for sauces and not received them. Disappointing because I act find using apps to order more convenient. Rather then siting at the menu board try to order food and after each item being asked is that all. For real is it so common for people to just say an item and sit silently waiting to be asked if that all. That now it’s gotten so bad that people can’t take more then half a second to say the next item before being interrupted with is that all. No I will say and that’s all at the end of my order thank you very much.
The app lies
I placed a $75 order, and within less than 10 minutes, the new “tracker” that is included, stated the order was received, then was being prepared, and then said it was completed and ready for pickup.
When I got to the restaurant, I checked in with my name to the customer service cashier, and she went in the back to look for the order.
I ended up waiting at the restaurant, in the dining room, for an hour, before another staff member asked me what order I was waiting for, and another manager came up and said they hadn’t even started that order yet.
KFC, why are you going to lie about the status of the order? Why, are you going to include this feature, if the restaurants don’t actually have a procedure to acknowledge the status of said orders? Why, are you going out of your way, to take an idea, used by other companies, such as Domino’s, who’s app is actually accurate, and use it under false pretenses?
Honestly, stop paying your corporate marketing teams and technical divisions, and use the money to pay for better wages, better work incentives, and proper training.
I have been to multiple Restaurants in the Hampton Roads, VA and they are all the same. Poorly trained Management, poorly trained Staff, and little to no customer service skills.
I worked in the Fast Food industry for years, and this is abysmal. I would have at least apologized to my customer, offered them a coupon, a free meal, or a free desert, something to show my actual apology and appreciation. I received nothing in regards to these issues.
This app, is not correcting the issues at hand.
It is making the experience for the customer even worse than it already was before.

I visited KFC in Jacksonville, NC, today for Chicken Littles. I ordered them with just mayonnaise. I also ordered a small coleslaw. I got home to eat and the Chicken Littles had excessive mayonnaise and pickles, which I had ordered without pickles. I feel like they need a school on working the drive through window. The person had to ask me 3 times for my order.
My coleslaw had a piece of corn in it. I took pictures of it. Needless to say I didn’t eat anything.
Desired outcome: Replace my money or a gift card.
Online Order
Useless app which only allows online ordering…you still have to wait in the drive-thru lane 45 minutes because employees won’t let you in to the store despite what the app says, “come on in!” Nope, food was very cold after waiting forever in the drive thru.

Poor location services and does not load
I’m sitting in a parking lot at KFC and the app is telling me that no KFC’s are in my area. So I click on just show me the menu and I cannot get connected to the app. At the same time I can connect to the Internet through other apps and websites without issues.

Horrid app
We have to use the app to do carry out… BUT WE CANT ORDER IF THE APP DOESN’T WORK. I tried 3 times, gave up and left for Panda Express. I saw another couple doing the same thing, fiddle with their phone, give up and leave same time I did. Then I deleted the app.

I downloaded the app, selected the closest store and hit Order Now…nothing happened. Clicked on menu…nothing happened. Went to KFC.com and the same thing happened. Gave up and deleted the app. Ordered food from somewhere else! I would have gave no stars if I could!

Terrible app
Warning don’t accidentally add or change your mind about what’s in your order, because there is no way to remove items. I even tried deleting the app and reinstalling items where still there. Ther is an edit button but using that still doesn’t allow you to remove or delete items.

No deals no promotions no daily discounts just full price no over priced chicken. Jack in the Bix and Burger King rule with there free food and daily low price deals. I’m going to delete. KFC must be losing so much money from people who love deals. Tbh this app is totally worthless

Very upset
I ordered food from my local KFC in Bryan, Ohio. I am so extremely disappointed. I ordered $26 worth of food and never received my food. Apparently they are closing at 7 pm because of short staffing, and the app didn’t tell me that, so I lost $26. Is there any way I could get my money back?

Doesn’t take ApplePay
I don’t understand why these companies make food app that doesn’t accept ApplePay, and instead try to force people to store credit card info.
I’m not putting my credit card info on every single food/restaurant app, so until this app supports more convenient and safer payment option (ApplePay), I will not be using this app.

No way to know if store is out of what you order
The problem isn’t the app as much as it is the way it works with the store.
I used the app to order and when I got home there were several substitutions.
They did not ask or bother to inform me of what they did.
Kids at the store said they could not refund me unless I bought through them. Not the app.
Not worth the trouble. Just use the drive through.

KFC How are you not gonna have a deals tab on your app? The $5 deal is nowhere to be found on the app, none of the cheaper meals are listed. We’re getting the app and selling our data souls for some points and a free chicken leg every 6 months once we accumulate enough points to earn it. Let us get the cheap meals too. Out of chicken
Downloaded the app just to order online. Place my order and less than a minute later they call me on the phone to say they’re out of chicken and have been for several hours.
Why, on the app, doesn’t it say, “out of stock” or some other notification? Why am I now responsible to call corporate to cancel my order? She can’t just cancel it? There are so many head scratchers here.

This app is so screwed up
This app is a mess. It took forever to get the payment part to come up so I could populate it; then the “place order” bar never became active. Get it right, or take it down, guys! This is a simple app and the difficulties with it are frustrating in the extreme. Now I have to watch my payment card to ensure I wasn’t charged despite never being able to click that place order bar.

Dose Not Work!
I down loaded the app and set up the account. Placed an order only to be told it was canceled, not once but twice. I have now decided to never use or eat KFC again and this is due to when I went to the location they would not honor my order stating that is only an online thing. I showed them the 2 cancelations and they were like oh well. This company has gone down hill withe there service.

Waste of time, outdated
There’s a kfc right down my road but instead it tells me I can only go to the one 11 miles away? If you can only use this at certain locations it shouldn’t be an app. This is not a problem at any other fast food chain that offers a mobile app. Not to mention why can’t I scan for points? I download all the food apps just to scan for points when I occasionally get food there. Clearly the kfc app is just as outdated as their stores.

How do you finally build an app after being a decade late and manage to not even add your entire menu to it? Like just the main thing to point out, you don’t have popcorn tenders/chicken in your app menu. I have not been able to even order through the app yet because there are missing menu items or things are only bundled in a specific way on the app and you can choose what you’d like. Seriously your parent company is PepsiCo, you have the money to do better…

Still no refund since 3/8; sent in my order number and nothing. Beware!
I ordered via this app, got to the store and discovered they were out of both items. No one watched out to me until I got there. Tried to cancel so I could get a refund. No cancellation choice. Had to call the customer service #, was told credit may take 2-3 days depending upon my bank; a week has gone by and still no refund. Please do not use this app. You will never get your money back.

BEWARE
This app will allow you to order items that are not sold at the location. I ordered wings on the app and drove 15 minutes to pick them up. The drive thru informed me they do not carry wings at their location and I will have to refund with whatever service I ordered them on.
This app does not have a button for cancellation or order issues, the only way to contact them is through “feedback” on there website which is typically used to review your experience.
Please fix these problems. Big waste of time.

Around 7pm Thursday October 4,2023 I placed an order for the 8 piece spicy wings with ranch I only received 6 wings,I ordered a large cole slaw and biscuit...I received a small coleslaw and a small Mac and cheese and no biscuit. Then I ordered the 3pc combo with a mash potato and Pepsi and didn't receive the drink nor potato
