This is Mohammed Ahmed, a repeat customer of Kuwait airlines
The reason I am e-mailing you is, My mother, Anowara Begum flew on 21 March with the flight ku 0102 (JFK-LHR). My mother took a handful of gifts and jewellery and Cash dollars as she is visiting my sister in London. Unfortunately, after reaching her destination she finds out all her expensive gifts are missing from her luggage, which includes, $800.00 cash, two Invicta Mens Watches, around 50 grams of 22k. indian gold. The tag number of the bag is KU 833164. I am emailing you to please help me by doing the investigation on this issue this is a shame, In country like in America Luggage thieves are in the Airport.
I am sure Airport has the maximum security and cameras all around. How this happens I wonder ! I hope to hear from you before I go any further with this incident. Kuwait air ways have good reputation among our community, Great service, Reasonable price, But this incident will bring all that down.
I am sure if you look at the camera you will find the thieves. I will save a copy of this e-Mail for police report later, If I need it.
For your convenience of investigation I specified exactly what the items are missing from the bag and I would really expect to get an answer from the air line service. Inform me what have you done or how this investigation is proceeding! Should I report the matter to the Police ! Please advice me what I can do too !
My sister Rikta Luna Is flying on 26th March by Kuwait airways to London for Easter Vacation.She is uncomfortable to fly because of this incident. Rikta Luna used to work at JFK air port as a TSA security officer by Lufthansa Airlines. She don`t want this incident to happen to her.
The missing gifts was carrying my own personal feelings and I really regret to lose them. I wouldn't bother you unless it was a matter of my expensive stuff which I really cared about and its also about the reputation of the airline. misbehavior of airport counter staff
I, kutubuddin sutarwala frequent flyer with your airline. I would like to bring to the notice of upper management that what kind of service do you provide to passenger when they report for check in at the airport?
1) if passenger has already done online check-in then why there is no special counter for such passenger? If those who have done online check-in and that passenger also should stand in the same queue where other passengers are there then what is the benefit of doing online check-in?
2) there is hardly 2 or 3 staff attending passengers whereas, the amount of crowd of passengers is huge during peak hours in the evening and specially in the peak season.
3) behavior of counter staff attending passenger is very rude.
4) no proper indication that which destination passenger should stand in which queue. All chaos. All are in cloud of dark. Suddenly at last moment they announce passenger for bombay stand in this queue. So whoever is standing first has to go at the back because when announcement is done that time those who are in the beginning of the queue they cannot suddenly go in another queue.
This is kuwait… and local airline and look at the way your staff treat the passenger and dealing at the counter?
When we travel from bombay to kuwait there are 6-7 staff on the counter and there is separate queue for those who has done online check-in. Counter staff at bombay airport very fast, responsible and well behaved.
Yesterday my wife travelled to bombay and counter staff arrogantly replied “ this how we are working. If you are not happy cancel your booking and go home”.
Is this the professional way of dealing of airline staff with their passenger?
Do you have any video recording at the counter so that airport supervisor can review on a daily basis as what is going on at the counter and number of staff attending to how many passenger. Yesterday I reached on the airport at 7:25 pm and I was in queue from 7:36 pm. By the time my wife turn came it was 9:16 pm.
Please look in to this matter seriously and take action against arrogant and unprofessional staff who are simply spoiling the name of reputed local airline.

I have vowed to myself and to whoever is planning to fly abroad in the near future, to never use Kuwait Airlines again. I would rather pay a debt for a higher ticket price than board any Kuwaiti flight. I have to say, I have never felt more disheartened and saddened to go through the stress and tension of the poor service this airline provides as well as to have these Kuwaitis ill-treat my people the way they had. I know this complaint will go unheard of but I will make sure this never goes astray. Me, being a Journalist, you will know how this will end up. I am not asking for compensation. Check for the main Kuwaiti male-steward (or someone who seemed that way) who was serving on board Flight KU 0364/ECONOMY. Unfortunately, I could not catch a glimpse of his name as he sported one of those detailed badges and was moving in quick succession. I can read, write and speak the language so I understood every damn thing he was saying. He also clearly favoured his Kuwaiti or Arabic passengers better. He was extremely rude to many of the female 'Ceyloni' passengers as these Arabs call us and I had to watch him blast most of them to move to their seats and so on and so forth. This flight was SUPPOSED to leave at 05.15am from Colombo on 07 June, 2014 and land in Kuwait at 08.00am. But, seemingly, the airline decided to wait for MORE passengers before it left Colombo. This was a stop-over for me to get the next flight to Frankfurt Airport at 08.55 from Kuwait and obviously, not enough time was available for the staff to transfer the bags of about 6 or 7 other passengers including myself who were supposed to catch the same flight. Well, disaster after disaster ensured and highlighted the incompetence of the ground staff and their ill attitude. First of all, I can go in detail explaining the entire incident to you but I have decided to blog about it. You can have a nice read online if you manage to find it. But, I won't waste more time here. I recommend you allocate more training time for all your staff members; ground and air-borne. They seriously need it. I will be keeping note and will even take lengths to go to Kuwait and meet the Sheikh if I have to. The Kuwaitis better treat everyone as they would like to be treated themselves.
i agree totally! walk or crawl but don't fly kuwait airlines. I was detained in kuwait for 40 ours and with no explanation or apology at all.further the airport hotel staff took our passports and were extremely rude. they refused to give us back our passports and sadly even the police were of no help. the airline and airport staff were extremely arrogant and it was disgusting the way they behaved with us.is there any way we can complain to someone about them? I had a confirmed ticket from kuwait to chennai on 16-8-12 by ku343 at 2055 hrs, pnr- cyi5s6, name kuppusamy uthaman, e tkt-229 [protected] and ticket status ok..
I was in check in counter 6.00 pm and long queue but no body in the counter due to fast break time. When enquired in the enquiry, the staff mentioned that the flight will not leave without taking all passengers. At 8 pm, some staff showed in the counter, but vanished after clearing some passengers. At 9 pm, when my turn came, the staff told the flight is closed and should try for next day. This is bizarre since i was there before 3 hours and i was denied boarding for a fault of not my own. Due to important engagement, i had to take another flight by air india on the same night by paying heavy price ticket while kuwait airways did not give any compensation.
I need the compensation for my difficulties and paying for new air india ticket.

Avoid avoid avoid at all cost, We had a really unfortunate pleasure of flying withKuwait airways from london to sir lanka via Kuwait, horrible horrible and terrible thats all i would have to say, we flew with an 18 months old baby and my God it was hell, extremely rude staff, if you complain they don't give a dam about it, only 2 toilets for over 100 passengers and 2 for 10 business class passengers and for some reason you as economy class passengers cant even use their toilets like they are gods and those toilets are made of gold, My wife was 7 months pregnant and air hostess pushed her back and stopped her for using the business class passengers toilet which i think is extremely rude, It seems like all they care about is their special business class passengers when they totally forgot their business is run by middle class people who fly economy class.We choose our seats and booked our flights 6 months in advance and some clever git decided to change our seats because some Arab family decided to sit there in the seat with bassinet, racist as hell, people who have children's would know what i mean in sitting in the middle row tight as hell, with 12kg of baby sleeping on your lap, and when we complaint to the chief air host instead of giving us another seat he lied to us that there is nothing else available which clearly wasn't the case and he gave feedback comment card and told us to write a complain and he will send it to someone with his report, which i am pretty sure will end up in garbage . Trust me you are better off by flying any other airline but this specially if you have children and would like to avoid racist situations.

on 9th of Feb 2013 morning

This to bring into your knowledge that our whole luggage was not received at New Delhi Airport which was including
5 pieces of suitcase & 1 SOny 32" LED model EX330.
We waited for a long time for the luggage at the New Delhi Airport and later it was informed to us that our luggage
dint arrive at all from kuwait as it was not loaded with the flight and would be sent to our respective addresses in India by Airport authorities once it is received
from Kuwait within 2 days. This happened to many passengers like us.
Due to this incidence I am in great trouble as apart from many valuable items,
I had a lot of neccessity items like medicine, milk & other for my 3 yr old daughter and It would be hard for me to
survive till the luggage is not received.
This happened with us earlier also and now We beleive Kuwait airways has made this as a normal practice to delay the
luggage delivery .
Hence I demand an apology & some amount of compensation against this inconvinience happened to my family.
I would be looking to hire a lawyer if Kuwait Airways is not kind enough to provide me a suitable compensation in terms of money or other.

I, Rahman Sadequr am filing a complaint because of the occurrences that happened from my flight from Dhaka to JFK with my wife, Afsana Islam and my daughter, Moumita S. Dighol. The Dhaka airport promised that they will give kids meal and wheelchair. The Kuwait ticket agent said he will provide for the services. When we boarded, they didn’t give anything. Ajaj Ekram was the chief parser and said the food ran out and said that his crew did not do the right thing and he’s not supposed to do that. Another crew member named Samir and he witnessed that incident and said that was wrong and said they will write a note. (January 28, Boarding Number: KU 284, Seat Numbers: 10E, 10F, 10G)
At the Kuwait Airport, they put us in the hotel for three members. I asked many times for three beds but instead gave two beds. I had to make a bed on the floor and I was in pain. It was a tiny bed and cannot sleep with three people. Room number was 413. Also, the hotel management behavior was wild. I asked for another room or bed but they said they had no more but they said next time that they will give it to me as a joke.
From Kuwait to JFK via Hitro Airport at London, the same incident happened and they didn’t provide for what I asked for. I repeatedly asked the crew member named Rifat and without any answer or explanation he just kept on going and coming back and later on he said sorry and that there’s no kids meal on that day. Then, I called the supervisor and his name was Nohat and he was making a lot of jokes and teasing me. Moreover ignoring the fact I was a passenger. But he did not even explain what the problem was or why he was called. He yelled at me and gave me a bad attitude and from his expressions seemed like he cursed me in arabic and threatened me that he was a kuwaiti to make me nervous and scared. (Boarding number: KU 101, Seat numbers: 30E, 30F, 30G)
Finally, on the arrival to JFK (Boarding number: KU 101, Seat number: 10E, 10F, 10G), I discussed with the supervisor and he listened to me. He felt very sorry for me, He acknowledged every problem then checked the paper and there was a child meal indication. All in all, the time was just miserable. for all of the flights they had no service. They said the system was down and that nobody could use. Then why are people flying on it? If they claim to say that the system is down then how will we spend time? It’s a long journey. So essentially, I did not get my wheelchair, my extra room/bed, the kids meal, and other facilities. It was terrible. I am paying for all this. It’s not like I am making this up. To have good ratings, your services should be the best but to be honest, it just wasn’t. If this matter isn’t resolved, then I have no choice to take this to the court. I hope through this investigation you may find the truth and know what is best and get back to me as soon as possible. stolen goods from bag which missed at time of arrival
I Kamlesh N Brahmbhatt traveled from Mumbai to USA (JFK) by Kuwait Airlines. Ticket number : KU/ETKT 229 [protected].
I arrive back to mumbai on 13/11/2012 by flight number KU/301.
I do not find one bag from my luggage from the belt and claim for it at airline counter. Also having receipt for so.
I received the bag by courier service at my home on 17/11/2012 at 1:00 A.M. I opened bag in front of delivery man and found that few items newly purchased are not there in bag which have been mention in complain too. (LIKE, 2 cordless phones, 1 LG cell phone of my use And 5 New brand T-shirts) which cost me 15000 (Fifteen Thousand INR only) .

My wife and Kid travelled in flight Kw102 on 26th October from London to Kuwait. The services of Air Hostess is very poor. No kindness, No hospitality. My wife asked for water for kid to Air hostess, but they didn't respond and after asking several times and fight back they provide the water after one hour. Similar they didn't provide the food for kid also, after chasing them several times for food, after one hour they said food is not available. A case need to be filed against them.

My Self Abdul Azeez. I had purchase 1 Return Ticket Doha to Cochin and Cochin to Doha on 9th May 2016. My Journey date it was 13th July and Return date is 4th August. I had one problem while traveling with Cochin to Doha. My Flight was connecting. And I m waiting for Doha flight. No one inform to me. Queue is very long. No one inform to me for Doha flight. Then I missed my connecting flight. It was Kuwait airways mistake. Because no one inform to me in airport. After that they gave to me another boarding pass for travel. And they ask for money. Why should I pay money its Kuwait airlines mistake already. I lost my valuable Time. They not gave any refund and they ask for extra money and they call me regarding payment. I never pay any amount. If it is my problem I will pay but its Kuwait airlines problem.
Yes they are mean people. Especially if You are from India and black they consider as second class citizen. We paid money and expect a minimum service that they do not give. I had a similar experience, I asked the male flight attendant that my seat TV screen is not working. While I was asking him about this issue the pilot announcing in his poor English. The flight attendant asked listen announcement rather complaining about it then he went and sit in his seat and rested. I am so embarrassed. I realized from this is hell better be quite. I determined I would avoid this airline even if I have to pay more on other planes. Also I realized that as an Indian they could drag you into problems even if you do not create a problem. So I keep quite until my journey is finished and determined I would not fly this airline again.
loss due to strike
I was supposed to travel by Kuwait airways today 17th March. We came to know about the strike so called on 171 to enquire about the strike but they asked me to come at ckeck in. so with my luggage I reached airport before 4hrs. The dealing with the passangers was like an insult. I have a great loss due to flight cancellation. Who is going to compensate this? We never ever will travel with Kuwait Airways. Do not behave like this to the passangers please.

My 2 bags from Delhi to JFK via Mumbai and Kuwait did not arrive on my Kuwait Airways flight on Jan 2, 2011. I was given a customer service number which constantly goes to voice mail or is placed on hold. I have still not been able to trace my bags yet. Dear Sir, Myself Nafisa Bai was flying from Mumbai to Kuwait on 24 Aug 2010. I was issued valid boarding Pass after verification of my luggage. Usually Kuwait Airways allows 40KG as free allowence of luggage but today they insist on 30KG which we had accepted. But even after getting boarding pass, I was not allowed to board on flight saying that I can not take luggage with my hand. My boarding pass number is ETKT2291627002065-2 Seat no- 27C.

I hate kuwait airways big time. Believe it or not there was a big fight between passengers and duty officers of ka yesterday (Can u imagine).in spite of over booked flight kwi-del and cancellation of ka tickets the staffs are getting on our nerves to surprise us more for the long waiting hrs already spent. Compensation paid was very less for 24hrs waiting and other passengers got shifted to b-class due to recommendation (Wasta) and there was some harsh talks and physical arguments. I saw indians recording the whole show on their mob-cams to take the issue up.. Final verdict kac sucksssssssss big time…. Sorry about the language. This is the least you can expect after getting abuses from kuwait airways staffs. We look forward to take this issue up to the faa and dgca.

I was waiting for my boarding card in front of the checking counter to be checked for at least 2 and a half hours but, when I finally came to the front of the line, they told me to step aside because, apparently, I was not too late, though I waited for so long. I came to the front of the line about 2 hours before my plane was supposed to set off. I wanted to talk to the in charge about my issue but he kept ignoring my request. Every time I went in front of him, he just turned the other way and ignored my existence instead of listening to anything that I wanted to say. When my brother tried to help me out, the in charge started telling us to get out of the building. My uncle works at an airport and we both know that people should arrive at least an hour and a half before the planes sets off. The behaviors of the people was like a racist discrimination. Right in front of us, some arabian people came and easily got their brodingcards checked after us and they were able to easily just slide by and get on the plane. My whole generation and I live all over the world and we've never encountered this racist issue. We are never going to use this arabian airline ever again because we don't want to experience this issue again. The person in charge of flight #Ku118 on February 12th, 2010, departure time 9pm was a really crude person full of hatred and ignorance towards others' needs. He doesn't listen, he doesn't answer and he was doing all illegal work for an airline.

missed baggage
Kuwait Airways lost my luggage on flight from USA to India. Inspite of filing proper forms at the destination, they refused to compensate me. After 3 months of communication with their representative in New York, they found the bag and returned the bag to my home (starting location), bag and items all damaged.
Unless you are ready to hire an attorney, better spend little more money and travel by other airlines.

I had lost my luggage while I travelled from DXB KWI on 15 Jul 2010 and I never got it. Kindly someone help me from Kuwait airways they never response as good manner and no serious consideration. I am very upset about it due to I lost all my education certificate and National citizen ship along with my all-important belongings.

Kuwait airways is taking more time to process refund. It a long alomst two months and still no news on refund status and information. When we called to customer care.. They are really sucks. No information found and no place to track it. I suggest not to use kuwait airways.

Worst airline ever. Havent refunded the money even after 2 months. They should see how the airline market is competitive when it comes to customer service. Infact I had a business class ticket and this is how they value your business by keeping your money and earning interest from it. I wont be surprised if they are closed down soon.
One of the worst and ignorant customer service staff. I booked my ticket through skyscanner.com with a long stopover (more than 8 hours) returning back from Frankfurt and going back to Delhi. On approaching the check-in desk, I was informed that I have to pay 110 euros more to get a boarding pass as I need to have a hotel booking at the Safeer airport hotel. SO LITERALLY THEY BLACKMAILED ME. Else no flight for me. I was helpless in a foreign country. I had to pay and the hotel was toooooooooo bad. Renovation noise disturbed me a lot. Now I have written to Kuwait Airways many times but they won't refund my money. Why nobody on my outward journey bothered to ask me to show the booking for my return? Why before booking my ticket these rules were not in the instructions? KUWAIT AIRWAYS HAS BEEN A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND NOBODY HELPS OR MAKES ANY ASSISTANCE. I WILL PROBABLY WIRITE TO SKYTRAX and authorities in India.
In September 2017 i was travelling to Pakistan from USA and upon reaching Lahore I was informed that my baggage was still in Kawait. I fill out a form and after a week I was learnt through my own sources that the lost baggage arrived. I went Lahore to get my baggage and to my disappointment my bag was opened. The lick was cut off and my laptop along with precious Eid Gifts were missing. I made a complaint with Kawait Air but nothing happened so far.
This getting worst by having bad service, I need my refund back if the re-book not happening, it's not fair to lose both ticket + money.
Who can help me as i pay for this i'm not getting it for free.
One of the worst airport and service. I cancelled my return flight because of this. Still not get the refund, sent so many emails. I purchased tickets online using Kuwait airways website. There is no option to cancel or modify the booking. Worst carrier. Never think about it again travelling by Kuwait airways.
I agree with this compliant. I am currently facing the same problem and no one is really bothered to pickup the phone and answer. This is really putting in financial stress as I am paying interest to my credit card for Kuwait Airways inefficiency in their refund process. Also I booked the ticket in March for December travel and there was atleast 20 SMS messages received informing about flight timing rescheduled. For me it was a connecting flight from Dubai to Kuwiat and Kuwait to Chennai. My Kuwait to Chennai flight timing is much ahead of my Dubai to Kuwait flight and when I ask, they simply say that you can take the previous day flight so that you can catch the next day which means i need to stay with my kids at the airport for 24 hours. If this is the attitude they show, I cannot imaging how the airport service would be. It is too horrible.

I received the bag by courier service at my home on 17/11/2012 at 1:00 A.M. I opened bag in front of delivery man and found that few items newly purchased are not there in bag which have been mention in complain too. (LIKE, 2 cordless phones, 1 LG cell phone of my use And 5 New brand T-shirts) which cost me 15000 (Fifteen Thousand INR only) .

Our flight on ku air ways dated on 27th june from kuwait Airport to Tunisia via Cairo lated 4days instead of 11hours.
In fact the flight n541 on june 27th had a delya of 6 hours.We lost the connection of our second flight on tunis air n814.We spent 2days in a hotel near the airport .When we flew to cairo on 29th june we were not allowed to board the tunis air plane because their system cant read our electronic tickets.So we spent an other night in the transit hall assuming the delay and the mistakes of the others

I travelled from US to India on Kuwait Airlines and my baggage was lost and it's been 13 days till now and I still do not know the status of my bag. I had to buy new clothes as the missing bag contains all my clothes. The unknown status of my baggage caused a lot of mental agony and ruined my total schedule as it had many important documents. I made several calls to find the status of the bag to, made many round trips to the Hyderabad airport all of which went in vain. Hope I find my baggage?
