We are instructed to provide you the formal Notice against your employee who harassed our client before boarding on the airline as well as harassing in the social media.
Our client’s flight was on 21 August 2023 at 03:10 am from Dhaka, Bangladesh and her flight number was KU 284.
On her departure from Dhaka, Bangladesh, she along with her two minor children has already passed the security and luggage checking area and also passed through three scanners. However, while they were waiting on the lounge before boarding on the plane, a few employees of Kuwait Airlines set up a table and opened all the passengers’ cabin bags and checked them physically.
At first, one male employee checked our client’s bag and then a lady took her cabin luggage at the side and informed her that there was a small packed ceramic pot in the bag which was life threatening object and she can not take it to the flight. However, she proposed her, if she gave her some money, she will allow her to take the packet. The lady took BDT1000.00 from our client.
Not only she took money from our client illegally, she tried to defame our client through social media. Our client is a media person. Our client shared her experience online which she is entitled to do. After looking at our client’s review, she started harassing our client online by disgracing her character. The airport lady said to a news that our client had a lighter in her bag and our client was being rude while she told our client to put the lighter away. In fact, we are instructed from our client that the airport lady did not speak the truth. Our client is a
social media influencer and the lady tried to defame her by giving wrong information to the media. We are instructed that the airport lady has harassed her in real life and through social media as well.
Our client has undergone a very terrific experience. Further, as her two underaged daughter witnessed all the chaotic situation, they became distressed.
Please be noted that harassment is the criminal offence and this ends up the employee in prison. We reserve the right to claim compensation and court judgement against your airline
Therefore, we are putting you on notice to take necessary action against your employee and offer our client appropriate compensation for harassing.
Please response us within 14 days from this letter which is 30 of October 2023.
We would be grateful if you would take necessary action and response us before the Notice expires. If you failed to provide us a satisfactory response us by 30 October 2023, you will leave us no choice but to go to the court. If we go to the court, you will be liable for all the legal costs including our legal fees.
