From start to finish it probably took about three months
From start to finish it probably took about three months. And the finish process is amazing. We sit out there every morning drinking our coffee just in awe. Our backyard is simply beautiful.

I highly recommend using Lakeside Pools for your pool building experience
I highly recommend using Lakeside Pools for your pool building experience. The staff was responsive and patient with all my questions, along with my special requests. Eric, Katrina, and David were great to work with. I would recommend Lakeside Pools to my friends and family!
Me and my wife are sooo happy with our Lakeside Pool
Me and my wife are sooo happy with our Lakeside Pool. They always keep us in the loop and tell us what's happening next. This was our 4th pool and it was the best one yet. We totally recommend Lakeside Pools for your next pool.
I'm really happy with my Lakeside Pool
I'm really happy with my Lakeside Pool. Victor was a big help in designing my pool. Katrina and Junior then took over in the construction of the pool. They called me at every step of construction. The pool is great and I'll sign up for their pool service. I highly recommend Lakeside Pools.
I'm really happy with my new pool from Lakeside Pools
I'm really happy with my new pool from Lakeside Pools. If you work in the trades, you know that there's been a lot of chaos with materials, costs, and finding workers. But the communication from the office was always on time and they met all the deadlines. They're a great company with a great team, and my family really loves the swimming pool. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends. Thanks again!
Our Lakeside pool was compleated four weeks ago
Our Lakeside pool was compleated four weeks ago. Lakeside was a pleasure to deal from the initial meeting with the salesman through the completion of our beautiful pool. They completed every element of the design on time exactly as presented. Junior and Katrina were always available, professional, and courteous. We are completely satisfied with our pool and would gladly recommend Lakeside.
I've been waitin' for a basic lap pool to be done for 15 months
I've been waitin' for a basic lap pool to be done for 15 months. They passed inspection on Monday. They asked me to pay up on Tuesday so they could finish the pool. Now they're tellin' me it won't be done 'til September 30th. That's a whole 16 months for a simple lap pool. Even if there were supply problems, this is just unbelievable. I'd tell anyone lookin' for a pool builder to go somewhere else. When I complained, all I got was a half-hearted "I'm sorry."
They never show up when they say they will and give unrealistic completion dates
They never show up when they say they will and give unrealistic completion dates. It's really unprofessional for a company that's been around for so long. Don't waste your time and money with this company, it'll just add frustration to your life. They told us it would take 3-6 months to finish, but after 5 months, it's nowhere near done. All we get are excuses after excuses. They keep telling us that the pool industry is booming and all pool companies are facing the same problem, but I don't believe that. They send emails asking for payments, claiming they can't schedule the next step until it's paid. But once we pay, they tell us they can't schedule anything with the subcontractors. It's all just a bunch of nonsense from this company.
We love our backyard now that it's finally done
We love our backyard now that it's finally done. The workmanship is great. Lakeside Pools designed and finished our big project. They added a heated pool with a waterfall, a separate covered area with electricity, a raised patio with lights on the steps, travertine patios all around, stonework, 3 fire features, 2 fenced-in yards, fake grass landscaping, and a custom RV gate. We know it hasn't been easy for anyone, especially with the shortages, but Lakeside never sacrificed quality. The staff was patient and attentive. Overall, we're really happy and even used the pool and spa in the winter. Thanks to everyone at Lakeside for their hard work.
I had a contract with this pool company to build a pool with an 85 perimeter in December
I had a contract with this pool company to build a pool with an 85 perimeter in December . I had some job issues and wanted to cancel the project, but they kept it on hold and agreed to it. After a month, things changed. I wanted to build a bigger pool with a 100 perimeter. I removed some options worth $5,000 from my old plan. The change from 85 to 100 perimeter cost around $12,000, which should have been $4-5,000 in the market. They said that all labor and material costs had changed within a month. So, I asked them to cancel the project and go with another builder. But they are asking me to pay a cancellation fee of $2,500. I already paid them $1,000 in advance too. They haven't done anything other than getting city permits and laying out the plan. Also, I'm switching to another company simply because it's too expensive. I asked the manager to send me a detailed new estimate so I can compare the costs. The manager replied saying that I have no intention of building a pool and he won't send me the new estimate. Also, they are very slow in the process. It took them more than 3 months to get the permit and layout. They made mistakes in the layout and had to do it twice.
We signed a contract back in March and it's now July 2022 and we still don't have a pool, grill, or fire pit we can use
We signed a contract back in March and it's now July 2022 and we still don't have a pool, grill, or fire pit we can use. We paid the whole project in cash, $153,000. They owe us work, we don't owe them money. First of all, we had open trenches in our backyard for 10 months waiting for concrete to be poured in the pool. They said there was a lack of concrete and labor causing the delay. It was dangerous for us, kids, and pets. Then, the hardscape manager told us that a landscape employee threatened a hardscape employee with a gun right in front of our house. Lakeside Pools did nothing about it and denied it happened. In April this year, we had a grill, fire pit, and fire feature partially worked on. But it's July and we still can't use them because the gas people never came back to finish the work. Once again, they said there's a labor shortage. We've been waiting since April for the pebble tech to be installed in our pool. The appointment has been rescheduled many times with the same old excuse. All we want is to have the work in our backyard done. It's been 17 months and we still don't have a pool, grill, or fire pit we can use. They never told us upfront that it would take this long. We interviewed 6 other pool companies and wouldn't have chosen Lakeside Pools if they had been honest from the start.
We signed with Lakeside in November
We signed with Lakeside in November . We are STILL waiting for our pool to be finished. Communication is awful. We have gone WEEKS without any sort of update. Then we are made to feel bad that we bothered them for an update at all. STOP telling us how we should feel and just do your job as we have hired you to do. SUBCONTRACTORS: EVERY SINGLE SUBCONTRACTOR HAS MESSED UP. Thank goodness our superintendent is the one who catches their mistakes. Even the dig was wrong (they didn't follow the plans on the blueprints). I watched subcontractors throw their lunch garbage on the dirt in our backyard, NEVER to pick it up themselves. Tile line was not done correctly, so we had to wait 3 weeks for them to come back out, remove SIX tiles, then had to wait for shotcrete to come back out, that was another 3 weeks. We failed the plumbing inspection three times in the summer (something COMPLETELY out of our control). Lakeside NEVER has a sense of urgency and it's always an excuse. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Currently waiting on a single electrician to lay another line; we have been waiting for 2 weeks and just today were informed AGAIN of another delay. Typical Lakeside. We were forewarned by others who have used Lakeside that the process with Lakeside is one to test your patience, but we had no idea that it would be this bad. When we ask if we will have a pool to swim in this summer we NEVER receive an answer. Our signed contract states completion date of October 2022, as in 6 months ago! (And please, stop with the "Supply chain issue" excuse. That's so 3 years ago.) We just want Lakeside to finish their job efficiently and CORRECTLY. We will never recommend them to anyone else. It's a shame too because when we were looking for a reputable pool company, we truly did our homework 1.5 years ago. It's sad that Lakeside talks the talk, but does not walk the walk. We have many people in our community who agree with us. JUST FINISH YOUR JOB, LAKESIDE. PLEASE.

They said the pool would be finished last December, but it's been a whole year and we still have a huge hole in our backyard since last August. We started building the pool last April, and now they finally put the tile in, but they ran out and can't complete it. The tile was ordered a long time ago and now they don't have it in stock?
We signed a pool and landscaping contract with Lakeside Pool's 551 days ago (18 months) for about $304,000
We signed a pool and landscaping contract with Lakeside Pool's 551 days ago (18 months) for about $304,000. Right now, the project is around 40% done. I want L.P's to agree on a timeline for finishing, and I want them to stick to our agreed price of $304,000. I'm hoping for a completion date of May 28th. That gives them 3 months and 1 week to wrap things up.

I hired Lakeside Pools to build my pool on 12/08, and we agreed verbally that it would be completed within 4-6 months. However, it's nowhere near finished yet. The company doesn't communicate with me at all. They never answer my calls or emails regarding my concerns about the completion. The excavators even caused damage to my house, yard wall, and front yard landscaping. They keep blaming it on a supply issue, but other pool companies in my neighborhood are finishing their jobs. Moreover, they never show up on the scheduled dates. They either cancel at the last minute or show up unannounced days or weeks later. On April 13, I received an email stating that the final completion date would be in 2-3 months. I emailed the company again expressing my concerns about the completion two weeks ago, but I still haven't heard back from them. If they continue to ignore me, my next step will be to visit their business office, assuming it still exists.
We bought a pool and landscaping from Lakeside Pools
We bought a pool and landscaping from Lakeside Pools. They said it would be done in May , but it got delayed a bunch of times for no reason. Finally, on July 7th, they planted 4 queen palms, but they didn't put support beams and one of them broke right away. I told Lakeside about it on July 15th and they said they would replace the broken tree and stake all 4 trees. They also said we had a 180-day warranty for the landscaping.
A month later, the same palm tree broke again and died. I sent a picture to Lakeside on August 22nd and asked them to check the tree and the irrigation they installed. They said the tree wasn't covered by the warranty and that the landscaping was only covered for 90 days. They said they wouldn't cover damage from extreme heat. I told them that if they finished the project in May like they were supposed to, the extreme heat wouldn't have been a problem. They didn't respond, like they always do.
Then I contacted the owner, ***, about the situation, but he didn't respond either. According to their email, we should have had a 180-day warranty that covered these issues. This problem happened within their new 90-day window too. I told them that if I knew they would use "extreme heat" as an excuse to not cover the landscaping, I would have canceled the job. After I complained, the other 3 queen palms died too. I didn't bother telling them because they hadn't responded to my emails. I just want them to replace all the trees like they should under the warranty.
We met with 3 local pool contractors in January
We met with 3 local pool contractors in January. We thought we did our research. After a few meetings with *** and finalizing the design and cost, we signed the contract on February 20th. We were informed that it would take around 5-6 months to complete the pool after obtaining the necessary permits. Our pool is pretty simple, just a rectangular shape with 110 feet of edge and a depth of 6 feet, including a water feature. No fancy extras like a barbecue grill or fire pit. We live in ***, so we knew there would be additional costs for excavation. The excavation subcontractor charged a fair price. So, all in all, we spent less than 60k on this straightforward project. The pool permit was issued on March 1st. The layout and form work were installed on April 8th. However, the excavation got delayed until June 17th, which forced us to seek an extension on our financing from the bank. The rebar, plumbing, and electrical work were completed between June 17th and the installation of Shotcrete on September 28th. From September 28th to November 23rd, when the pool decking started, there were numerous emails and discussions, but little progress or effective communication. During this time, we were even told that if we changed our travertine choice, the project could be finished earlier. So, we made the switch, but we're still not done. The construction took so long that the slate for our water feature was no longer available, and we had to choose a different option. On December 14th, after meeting with Coty, our Lakeside superintendent, and pointing out the issues with the finish elevation of the pool decking and the water feature, we haven't seen any work crew returning despite our written communication with the superintendent, who assured us that the pool would be complete and ready to fill by the new year. It's been almost 11 months, and we just want it to be finished.
