The lady Ambiga was not fixing a convenient date and time for trial make over... Also doing very very very very very poor service for bridal makeup... I didn't expect this from Lakme beauty salon... I feel disappointed with Lakme beauty salon service given by people there. I didn't find beauty experts giving services in Lakme beauty salon in Katpadi...No expert beautician is there in that branch.

Complaint- Permanent damage to my hair after undergoing straight therapy
I, the customer had done a ‘straight therapy' treatment as suggested to be the best suited for my hair with Miss. Sailee, a staff at the Lakme Shivaji Park Salon back in December 2016. The result was good and satisfying (though not worth the price which I paid for which was very high as close to Rs. 12000). The said staff had assured me that ‘Straight therapy' will not make my hair poker straight nor it will damage my hair which was somehow true I felt after the result I got. (Not completely true because 2-3 strands had got a burnt like look) but still I was happy with the result.
I had selected ‘Lakme' for my first ever hair treatment since it is known to be a good brand in the industry with many years of experience and assured myself about the quality of products and staff services.
After 2 years when my natural hair with mild waves were back again, I decided to visit the same branch again on December 10, 2018 to get my hair a fresh look because of the wedding season coming. Luckily, the staff was the same and I got her appointment back again. She again suggested me to go for a ‘Straight therapy' since it would suit my hair the best and I will get a naturally straight and silky look. I was skeptical about the damage it might cause since I had fine and thin hair and the treatment involved using a straightener for ironing the hair. However, she assured me that the ironing is not to make the hair straight rather to penetrate the product applied and was very sure about no damage to be caused.
Also, after prolonged argument about the length of my hair being till waist (which would have costed me Rs. 10000), she qualified my hair to be below waist without any justification and claimed the charges to be Rs. 12000 and when I went arguing further asking for any senior staff to check upon my hair length, she rudely denied to do my service in a very harsh way. There was no other hair stylist staff available at the salon that day and also since I had after lot of difficulty managed to take a day off from work that day, I decided not to waste any time further and agreeing for Rs. 12000 hoping to get result worth the price I am paying.
She started with the treatment which went on for 5 hours between which she asked me if I would like to order anything and I agreed for a sandwich. While I was eating it, she got me the bill of the same which was Rs 240 for just a veg toast sandwich which was supposed to be paid by me and not them.
After the treatment was done, she got my hair rinsed and dried and to my shock my hair from the bottom upto 10 inches was completely damaged. They were completely burnt had very rough texture. I was annoyed and shocked and had tears in my eyes. She convinced me to get them cut and I agreed on getting not more than 4 inches cut. After the hair cut, there was still no improvement and I knew that it was a permanent damage caused. She was trying to convince me that it will be solved over a period of time after a few washes, but I just wanted to get out of the salon and rush home since I was all shattered. While making the payment my hair were no more below the waist and infact were much above the waist because of the hair cut done, they agreed to consider it below waist (Rs.10000) for payment. (Rs. 2000 was given as discount because of some offer)
They did not even provide me with any solution to treat my hair right or to reverse the damage they had caused to my hair.
I had waited a year to grow my hair so long so they look great during all the weddings I had to attend. I was left with neither long hair nor good hair!
As many people I met suggested me to get back to you and ask for any help or solution from your end for my damaged hair caused with your treatment request and so I am writing this complain mail to you (since I choose to not go into any court proceedings for now). Also I got rigorous spa treatments done once every week post my treatment with you in other salon. I am attaching a recent picture of my hair (more than 20% better because of spa treatments I went through). I regret for not clicking any picture on the day of damage since I was not in the state to do so.
Request you to look into the matter and help me get my good hair back!

I got my hair smoothened a day before post which I was very happy and content. I was called a day later for the wash and trim. The staff that day was different because of the difference in timings.
The girl chopped down my hair length and even trimmed inappropriately.
I am totally in despair today. Felt lyk I wasted 10 thousand bucks. That employee was a total disgrace to the company who could not even trim the hair straight properly!
I would hereby never recommend Lakme to anyone.

I had recently visited Lakme Salon at Delhi for blow dry hair styling . I dint want to spend too much which is why I decided to go for the normal blow dry . After looking at my hair the stylist told me about some spiral curls which will stay for at least 3-4 hrs, I was fine with it . I had checked the price before hand at the reception who told me 575 . Now this person did some ultimate blow dry without my consent and then the final look was good though . At the time of payment the receptionist told me 950, there were few more customers standing there and I dint want to look like a scape goat and argue there so I agreed to pay the amount as I was happy with the results . I left from the salon and walked down 5 mins to my hotel and by the time I reached to my disbelief I saw the spirals were half gone and within another half n hour I was back to my original hair . I was so unhappy that after spending so much the blow dry came off in half n hour . I was so dam disappointed with Lakme services . I will never go again . I wish I get the refund back.

I dont know whether putting here complaint is going to get addressed but certainly need to address this as I was badly humiliated and moreover rudely spoken by the receptionist. I had taken an appointment at 10am sharp and i reached around 10:06. I saw one boy (cleaner) was cleaning the desk and one girl sitting on hair cutting chair facing the mirror and doing something in her phone. The cleaner informed her that there is a customer standing and waiting for her. I was standing there for 2 minutes and later again that cleaner reminded her about my presence. God knows what she was doing in her phone during her office hours and moreover she was not bothered and not present on her desk chair where she should have been seated. The lady from whom i get the services done was on her way. so meanwhile i started discussing on the rates and was getting the bifurcation of the services from the
receptionist. She was very rude and her tone was something like that i disturbed her in the morning. I asked her on the freecharge coupon where i had a discount of 200 off on availing service worth more than Rs. 1000. Since this coupon was not valid on
wax service, i had no option to leave that. Later i asked her for discount as usually they do give me discount whenever i visit and moreover if the bill exceeds 2000/-. She informed me that since it is Sunday she cannot offer me discount and hence she said to come on Monday. as it is there were no customers in the salon and so much lean time that she could have easily taken me. I told her that rather saying no to a customer on Sunday morning, lets get the service done today and do recheck with the franchise owner. She raised her voice and started sharing the email id where i can complaint. She ignored the fact and was behaving as if she doesn't care if i leave at that very moment.The lady (employee) came and i started discussing with her and told her to check if she can. This receptionist started intervening between us and disturbing our talks in a rude way.I left for that moment and surely visit on Monday. But this Girl was super rude and moreover she doesn't know how to speak to a
customer at all. I thought its better to get the service done on Monday or either from other outlet or the same outlet.
P.S. I had to get the services done worth Rs. 3600/-, so thought 15% will definitely help. I am so loyal to this place and using their services since 2yrs+. Also i had never seen this lady in the Salon, surely she is a new joinee but the Franchise owner
should give some training on customer service to his staff.

I had taken pre-bridal & Bridal services from lakme Jammu Gandhi Nagar branch. They have charged Rs 36, 900 for the same. But their actual package and services cost is lesser value. They have charged me for the services I never availed. Have emailed them as well but now they are coming with stories that my cousins etc came & took the services when no one came . I went to the Lakme HSR Layout, Bangalore branch and was really really disappointed. I took full body waxing service. A worker named Saraswati was very rude and not at all into her work. Kept on going out again and again after every 5 mins and also burned my skin. Then two others came and they also did not do it properly.
Then, they were not ready to accept the prices in the rate card. Claimed that rate card prices had changed and they were not yet updated in the computer. However, they gave the same rate as in the rate card to my friend but not to me.. and when I told them I wanted to talk to their senior, they denied. This was the worst experience and never going back to that place again

This is with regards to the Lakme Salon at Bellandur Road, they are employing anyone and everyone with no background checks, I went to their parlour last month and found this lady by name Anita who does not understand a bit of English and doing facials their, she applied an expired cream on my face and I ended up with terrible rashes, when questioned she says she does not know how to check the expired dates, on the top it she calls me from her personal mobile number [protected] and threatens of dire consequences if I complaint about her, I just cant believe Lakme is employing such cheap people.
You guys are looting money at a premium prices and the employees are not even certified and educated, I am filing a complaint with the consumer forum of India about you guys, you either shut down this parlor or fire that lady Anita for misbehaving with the customers.

Cysteine hair treatment

I opted for Cysteine Hair treatment from the Lakme Salon in Viman Nagar (Pune). I got the treatment done on 30 July along with a haircut. The treatment lasted about 2 hours. I specifically told the stylist that my hair was frizzy and i need a treatment to relax it and she suggested i opt for the Cysteine treatment as its chemical free. I wanted the Keratin treatment, but she said they no longer offer the Keratin treatment. I was charged Rs 7200+15% Tax for this treatment. I even Purchased the Shampoo and the Treatment recommended to use after the Cysteine treatment for Rs 2080.
The haircut was as good as a trim . I specifically asked for a change of style, but it didn't look any different from what I already had. I was charged 900 for the haircut which is supposed to be a designed haircut. I wasn't even advised about the charge before hand. When i said i want to redeem my Lakme reward point i was told that the cost will be adjusted in the points itself.
I was called again on 31st July for a hairwash. I noticed no difference even then. I requested the stylist that i was not happy with the haircut and wanted her to give it more shape and layers. She made me stand while she cut my hair and at the end i was left me a shabby and horrendous haircut.
While paying the bill i told the manager and he agreed to give me another appointment to fix the haircut on 6 August. ( I'm definitely not taking up any free service even if it's free). There's barely any length left to work with.
I even opted for a full hand wax ( Normal). But when i went for the Waxing sitting i was told only Flavored wax is available, as the normal wax is not suitable because of the humidity. I was charged Rs 500 for the same.
I had my first hair wash on 2nd August after the treatment and noticed no difference in the texture of my hair. In fact i found my coarse and dry than before. I used to use Bed Head shampoo and conditioner and after the wash it felt super smooth. But this De Fabulous Revive shampoo and treatment made no noticeable difference to my hair after use.
I was told i wont need to blow dry my hair of use a straighter after the treatment and the knots in my hair will reduce. i have since the treatment noticed dandruff falling all over even at the slightest brush of touch of my hair. I did have dandruff but not to the point of the flakes falling but just touching my hair.
I'm utterly disgusted and disppaointed with the service and the product offered by Lakme.
I just want them to fix the issue or reimburse me the cost of the service which has not lived up to what was promised.

I agree Lakme salon (Vimannagar) is [censored]. I've been to many other Lakme salons in Hyderabad and Bangalore, but this is nothing like a Lakme salon. Such cheap, unprofessional and unskilled staff they have. I feel Lakme should revoke franchisee licence of this branch.

I went for hair cut to my daughter aged 12 yr studying in seventh standard at Rajajinagar, Lakmesalon, Bagalore on sunday, 22-08-2010 at 1:32 pm.Stylist named Manjula v did the hair cut named layer cut.The service is so unprofessional, their was no pre hair wash, and very few layers, but charged Rs 600/-, A normal salon would do better work and charge very nominal of Rs 150/- I had wrong assumption about these salones.In the price list of lakme salon it was mentioned Rs 450/ for hair cut, when i quetioned she said it is only for college students, What about school children? Infact the charges must be less compared to college students.At least now on stop such exploitation .I would not recommend any one to visit your salon. would never do such mistake again.

Bad service
I went to Lakme Beauty Salon (Preet Vihar, New Delhi) today in noon .Its was my 2nd visit over there. I went there for Re-bonding of my hair. Those people were only interested in fetching money not in what kind of service they are providing. The girl who attended me was only focused on discussing about the price.
I asked her to do the re-bonding of my hair but she did the the touch-up without informing me and even asked for high price than earlier one. A guy was also helping her. Their method of applying the Straightening Cream & Neutralizer was so wrong that i lost my temper. I interrupted them twice but they did not listen to me & started giving advice to me.
They only want to sell their PPODUCTS by any how, but their service is so LOW STANDARD.

I gladly payed them after 4 sittings the lady who attendedme went for a marriage in january 2010. AFter that wenever I call them they would tell no one is ther to do the facial . Beauty Service gone wrong
I am writing very strongly against Lakme Beauty Salon - Mulund (W), Mumbai. I had gone to there to do few services on eve of my Engagement.
One therapist (named Sangeeta) did eyebrow & forehead threading for me, & god only knows created HAVOC on my skin. When i came back home my skin was so badly bruised with bad cut marks, as if someone had cut my skin with a knife!
I was in an utter mental stress (when i should have been happy doing my engagement preparations)
Thanks to my wonderful make-up artist, my cuts got concealed for my D-Day.
It's now been over a week, & i feel the cuts will take a while to heal (imagine these are just threading cuts - & how much can a person go wrong!) I had to take dermat's help & i am now under some topical treatment.
I sincerely urge this complaint forum to take a strict action against the salon & the therapist in question who just did not cause physical, but mental stress to me as well.
I want to take this matter ahead & i will make sure the salon pays for their unprofessionalism.
I urge all the ladies to NEVER EVER GO TO LAKME SALON. It's the most down market, unprofessional salon i 've ever been to.
Guys, let me know will consumer court help me in this? I want a written apology letter from the salon along with a compensation fee + entire reimbursement of my bill.

LAKME and STREET WEAR selling Expired Cosmetics
LAKME and STREET WEAR are selling their Expired Cosmetics and products whose Expiry date is fast approaching/near.
Incident No.1: I bought a LAKME High definition Eye-liner from Health & Glow store at Bangalore's shopping mall 'The Forum' on June 2009.
I used it twice and started feeling itchiness on the skin above my eye lashes. Once the upper part of eye lids slightly swollen with a kind of mild infection.
Later I realized the Eye liner was the culprit and checked its expiry date. It was expired 2 months back when I bought it at the store.
Unfortunately i did not have the bill to register a complaint against this incident.

Also there was one more Lakme Product (Lakme Nine-To-Five Defining Lip-liner) I bought on the same day. Its Expiry date was fast approaching/near.

Yesterday (23rd January 2010) I bought a STREET WEAR lip-liner/lip-definer from HEALTH & GLOW at Koramangala, Bangalore.
Today I half-tored the bill for the product and immediately realised to check the expiry date of the product.
As suspected the product is an expired one (or near approaching the expiry time). There is no Best before usage date or the instruction when it reaches the Expiry date from the day of its manufacturing.
It just printed only the manufucturing date and has not mentioned the expiry date on any of the STREET WEAR products.
I still have that half-tored bill with me. I'm not sure if it may suffice to register any legal complaint against the Health & Glow store or the STREET WEAR Company.

So I want you people to be aware of all the LAKME and STREET WEAR Products (any cosmetic for that matter..) and the greedy and cheap stores like HEALTH & GLOW.

I walked in to trim my hair; I chose Lakme a well popular salon so I can get a better look. Well, I was wrong. I went in with better hair but came out with rats cut..! have heard of it before.. I had washed my hair when I went in but the stylish said that my hair need a wash and it will take hardly any time. She took an hour just to wash my hair and trim them. And don't ask me what have she done with my long hair- she looked like she was barely out of high school. She even billed me more then it deserved and the fee I was told before. Lakme fleece people out of their money and dignity. Now I walk around in a cap till my hair grows back.
