leather couch and loveseat
First off, it's no real leather as sold to us. Its leather look. Second, within two years it started showing wear and leaves pieces of the vinyl all over the floor and on anyone who sits on them. Purchased 09/04/2013. Here is what they look like now. There are two people in our household and we each have a recliner so these are rarely used guest seating
simmons peeling furniture
The synthetic leather/vinyl is peeling on the Harbortown Vintage furniture. The material is peeling on two Recliners, one Sofa & a Loveseat.
The Loveseat, Sofa and one Recliner was purchased at Fayetteville Georgia Big Lots #05195. The second Recliner was purchased at Stockbridge Georgia Big Lots #01171 for $ 304.95.
Please advise on replacement or repair.
I'm a customer that bought a couch
I bought a couch in Marion VA at Aaron's and I have had to call Aaron's 2times to come back and fix it. The spring on the bottom keeps popping out. And the cushions are worn out. I haven't had it a year yet. So Aaron's said that I had to call the manufacturing company. This is not good quality whatsoever. I paid good money for this and now I wish I didn't...

bought from BJ'S material is cracking and coming off on both chairs they are hardly used these are extra chairs. Feel that the material used was defective and should replace . These chairs are over a year old but have only been sat in a dozen times like I said they are extra chairs not the ones we use at our computers as seen in pics. We bought them and they where to high for desk so we sat aside to use if we needed an extra chair like said before maybe got sat in a dozen times if that. They have cracks and now the top of leather on head rest I flaking off. We have bought lane furniture before and that these would be well made but seems we were mistaken in this case.
reclining loveseat
In 2014 I purchased a Lane Reclining Loveseat from Home Comfort Furniture which has since gone out of business. The sales lady told me Lane furniture had a lifetime warranty, that's what convinced me to purchase it. Now, the stitching is coming out in the front of the seat. I called Lane and was told there was no lifetime warranty and when I said i would never entertain purchasing another piece of their furniture if they didn't honor the warranty she hung up on me. Says a lot about Lane and their customer service.
poor service on delivery of purchased items
We purchased a living room set that was to be delivered Aug 27 in Marathon Ontario
When the delivery was received, the delivery was missing a back on our glider rocking chair and they had to replace an end table, because of poor conditions (cracked)
We were the told that we would receive missing pieces on Sept 24, I called the store in Thunder Bay and was told that we should receive the end table on Oct 15 ?
When I asked about glider chair, I was told that they had no eta ?
I will be lucky to have this piece of furniture for Christmas
I have to tell you that is probably the worst service I ever received as a customer
I am an owner of a grocery store in Marathon, if I treated my customers like this, I would be out of business
Hope to hear from a Manager that knows how to handle this type of issue
Thanks

couch
I special ordered a couch from Lane specifically because I wanted red leather. The cushions are now cracked on inside. I know this is from being made of bonded leather. I purchased from you because I thought it would be good quality and would last. This is not the stores fault. It is shoddy manufacturing. I feel I should have my cushions made good because I was told the couch was leather. I even had more support put in at an extra cost. Please resolve this or I may have to contact someone else to look into it.
recliner chair
I purchased a Lane recliner chair from a local Lane Furniture dealer in Clarksville, AR about 2 years ago. Now the upholstery is pealing off all over the chair. The local dealer had no interest in helping me because the upholstery is only warranted for one year. I have owned many pieces of furniture in the las 55 years and I have never seen anything like this happen, especially in a two year old chair. I think Lane should stand behind their "quality made" product longer than a year. This chair looks like something pulled out of the garbage dump! I would like either a refund or a new chair.
Sorry, I was told this was a Lane recliner, but it is NOT. It is a Barkolounger recliner. I have posted under Barkolounger.
reclining sofa and loveseat poor quality control
I took delivery of a new reclining sofa and loveseat on 11 May 2018. I contacted the retailer the next business day and the manager came out and inspected the pieces for the following issues:
1. Staples under the fabric on the foot rests not completely driven, sticking into ankles and heels when reclined or closing recliner.
2. Three of four edge seams not stitched on back panels.
3. Sharp staple points sticking out of side of back panel, potential injury hazard.
4. Right lower return of sofa center section has fabric cut short exposing the padding and waferboard frame. Also, the fabric is under strain where it is stapled to the frame.
5. Brown sofa and loveseat with blue-head upholstery nails on the back.
The room arrangement has both pieces away from the wall, so the back panels and upholstery nails are clearly visible.
The Lane area rep told the manager that they would only offer a $200 refund of the purchase price. While this is better than nothing, it is far from adequate considering the price for the new pieces and just how long I am stuck with poor craftmanship.
Lane needs to stop touting their quality in their advertisements if the company will not deliver on their promise.
bonded couch was sold to us as leather
On August 25, 2013, we purchased a Lane leather couch from Hudson's Furniture in Tampa for $2, 487.63. We told Lynn, the sales associate, that we were not interested in anything that was bonded leather, and she assured us that this couch was not.
Lynn also suggested we purchase the extended warranty stating, "The couch will be replaced even if you accidently poke a hole in it with a pencil." Naturally, we purchased it.
Almost immediately we had problems. Not realizing until I vacuumed behind it, the delivery company sliced a 12" hole in the back when they were removing the packing material. Since this was several weeks later, Hudson's took no responsibility for their delivery people and thought we did this ourselves; however, they sent someone to repair it.
Shortly thereafter, we noticed the peeling on the cushions. Since real leather doesn't peel, we reached out to the store with our concerns. We were told that our warranty did not cover this. We then called Lane, and they said they would "look into it." We never heard back even after numerous attempts on our end to contact them.
We called Hudson's again, and were told by one of the managers there that Lane had been experiencing significant quality control issues for several years.
It was literally downhill from there. We started seeing where the couch was peeling off not only on the seat cushions but also on the front of the couch and between the cushions. We called Lane, and they said there was nothing they could/would do about it. They said it was probably from body creams. When I said that there was peeling BETWEEN the seat cushions, they had nothing to say.
About two weeks ago we sent pictures of the damage to the Lane. A couple days later, they called and again blamed it on body cream. They took no responsibility for the damage or the fact that this was defective merchandise. They did, however, offer to return our $212.93 payment for the warranty, which we found insulting. How convenient of you to return the money we spent on the warranty as opposed to standing behind it. Very poor customer service.
We have had leather couches in the past, one that lasted for over 20 years while raising two children on it, and never experienced any peeling on any of the leather furnishings we have owned.
This is an obvious effort on the part of the manufacturer and the distributor to disavow any responsibility for their product. How sad that a company like Lane, who has had such a strong history of good products in decades past, should devolve into an operation whose products cannot be depended upon to perform at the most minimal level of expectation.
I would NEVER purchase anything associated in any way from Lane or Hudson's.
This is exactly how my couch looks. I special ordered leather for the endurance. I thought Lane would be better since it is in US. Now I know nothing will be done and I’m stuck with it
reclining sofa/loveseat
our loveseat has had its mechanism replaced 4 times by the people of Minnesota furniture in dubuque iowa and it is still not working...they said now they are waiting for the part and continue to put us off.
the sofa--the springs came out of the back of it and the leather is peeling. they have come to take pictures for the last 4 years to send in and they said they lost them 3x's and now they are playing the out of warranty card...
i am fed up...why is the furniture not holding up and why are we not getting replacements...
this is my second request for an answer back...did not receive one from a couple of weeks ago
recliner chair
A recliner purchased on 12/06/2017 and delivered 12/15/2017, item used two weeks in december and then not again until may 5th (we were in florida all winter) on app. May 7th I pulled the chair away from the position it was in to plug something into an electrical outlet and saw that right in the center of the back of the chair what looked like a piece of a spring had poked out thru the fabric and was sticking out 3 inches. The chair was purchased at carson pirrie scott in lombard illinois. This store is out of business.

I have placed 5 calls to lane and left messages 4 times in the last 4 days all resulting in no response. I placed a call today and was answered with a voicemail by asusan peterson who said she will not be in her office for a week. All of this process is a pretty poor response to a customer inquiry or request. I would like to know what lane furniture will do to remedy my problem but would at least like the curtesy of some type of response from a human rather than unanswered voicemail requests.

couch and recliners - fabric 5116-13
Hello,
We purchased furniture in Jan 2013. We did not get this furniture until June 2013 due to some problem at the factory -wish we would never have gotten it. After just 4 years, the fabric 5116-13 is coming off the furniture. The place we bought it from - Floor Show & Outlet in Dubuque, IA after talking with them the past 5 months decided there is nothing they can do to help and we should take it up with the manufacturer.
lane ladies recliner/customer service
On February 1, 2018, I searched diligently to find a customer service number to contact Lane Furniture. After calling 3 different numbers found on the Internet, that were no longer in service and without further information, calling 3 times to a working number, with the extension for customer service, but no answer and mailbox full and another 3 calls to the number, I finally reached an unfriendly lady. Upon reaching the unfriendly lady and trying to cheer her up with a good morning, she was of no help and passed me on to another completely rude lady, who hung up on me after she continued to repeat I have no information about recalls on any recliners, of which I replied that I found my information on the Internet and was concerned about the recliner that I had. Before she was able to hang up, I kindly told her that my family had a folder of which I had the serial numbers and all information pertaining to the recliner, along with many other pieces of Lane furniture we purchased over the last 30 years, but in the future we would not be purchasing anymore.
leather & wood mission recliner and leather sectional / "leather" disintegrating
I bought these pieces along with two wood & stone end tables, coffee table, and two mirrors. The tables and mirrors are doing well and look great. The electric servos for the reclining sectional are doing will. The framework and structure of all pieces save the left hand recliner all doing well. The left hand recliner has always been "rocky" as if something is broken structurally.
The problem is that the sitting furniture was sold to me as "Leather". It's not ... it's bonded or bi-cast leather. For Lane, or any furniture company for that matter, to sell bonded or bi-cast upholstery as "leather" is nothing more than careless, disrespectful of their customers, and downright deceitful. How can Lane sell their upholstered furniture as "leather" for thousands of dollars with a 1 year warranty knowing full well that in 2 to 4 years it will begin disintegrating to the extent that it will require reupholstering or replacing.
Does Lane not understand that anyone who makes such a purchase will never return as a customer!?
Are Lane sales so good that the power of social media to share experiences of Lane's incredibly poor quality will have no adverse effect on sales!?
Lane used to be a mark of superior quality but this is no more.
I think there should be a deserving name change for this furniture company from "Lane Furniture" to "Lame Furniture".
I'm so disappointed in my Lane furniture purchase and as with most, if not all, other customers with similar complaints, I'll never purchase another Lane product unless my problem with the furniture I bought is remedied.
loveseat and couch
I thought that Lane was a company that stood by there furniture but I guess I was wrong. I purchased a couch and loveseat at Darvin furniture in 2013 which was a big purchase for me. My love seat is pealing so bad I am embarrassed to have people over. And I noticed that the metal bar underneath is broke which is making the seat lean to the rt. The couch is not pealing but the arms are separating and you can see the screws. I don’t have small children jumping on my furniture and I have no pets. I contacted Darvin but I’m out of warranty and I called Lane to hear that I can pay someone to come reapolster it and it was made exclusively for Darvin. I really hope that Lane can step up and do the right thing and fix these pieces. I can’t afford to buy furniture again. I know nothing lasts 20 yrs anymore but I would think 10 is fair.
sofa and loveseat
We purchased the set late Feb 2017. The seats are almost flat. They do not puff back up after being sat on. The sofa looks terrible now and is extremely uncomfortable. We need to replace this furniture and it is only 7 months old. This is ridiculous and I would like a refund. I have attached a photo of one of the cushions and you can see it is totally ruined.
two leather recliners are peeling
I guess I will join the many other customers that purchase a Lane product expecting to have it for years. Obviously this is not the case. The so called "leather" material is not really leather, but is peeling and cracking all over the seat and leg portions of the recliner. I have had these two recliners for 4 years, but they have had minimal use being located in our media room. Now I am somewhat embarrassed to have them in the room. However, instead of spending another $1000 to replace them, I will keep them where they are an explain to EVERYONE that this is typical Lane furniture and do not purchase their products lest you end up with the same problems. Lane, this will be the last product unless I hear from you on how to replace them. I have lots of pictures, but you get the point. Avoid any product that says it contains leather (or anything else for that matter).
imitation leather double reclining sofa and loveseat
The material on both lane products started peeling after a year and half of product use the love seat was so bad at two years that I removed it from my living room while couch which had occasional use is now peeling. They were purchased in late 2014 on line and delivered to my home. I could see this failure if I had pets or small kids but not for adult use. The first place to begin peeling was on the headrest. For a year of this time they were not used I was only home once a week.
