I purchased the Power Reclining Expedition Shadow 2-Piece Set (sofa and loveseat) from Mathis Brothers in August 2021. They were delivered 8/21/2021. A little less than a year later, the springs in the middle sofa began to give out and was concave. The cover of the console between the two seats on the loveseat also came off and the screws would fall out any time we tried to put the hinges back on. I wanted to contact Lane to address the issue, but their website does not provide contact information for their company and, instead, refers all customers back to the original store from which they purchased the merchandise. I contacted Mathis Brothers on August 18, 2022 and they claim that neither of these were manufacturer defects, but instead normal wear and tear (after less than 1 year!). I communicated that we barely use the loveseat and the middle seat on the sofa is hardly used, in comparison with the other 2 seats/cushions of the sofa and they refused to help me or provide me with contact information for Lane. I have been searching for ways to contact Lane directly since then and have not been successful, as they want everything to go through the store selling the merchandise.
Claimed loss: $1729 (including $146.88 delivery)
Desired outcome: I'd like a full refund so I can purchase sofas that are not going to fall apart in a year.
