Larry & Sons are on time, and provide consistent call-ahead reminders. The service tech we received was useful, and although our particular problem has been intermittent and not directly solvable thus far, the work that was performed was acceptable and the advice useful for us to be able to get a more clear understanding.

My service call was for between 8:00 a.m. - 12 noon. I received an email at 7:46 a.m. that the technician was on the way. I was impressed that he arrived promptly at 8:00 a.m. in full PPE. Now, that is quality customer service. I told him that this was the second time that I had to repair the same problem. He told me about a service that the company offered to prevent repeated repair. I am going to make the investment for a peace of mind.
I have used Larry and Sons on three occasions
I have used Larry and Sons on three occasions. I have learned my lesson though and will not ever be using their services again. The first time I used their services was to have the furnace PMed at a home I had recently purchased. The technician merely looked at the gauges and glanced at the furnace for maybe two minutes if that. Before he left he went into a sales pitch in trying to talk me into using their services to install an air system. Despite only glancing at my furnace and doing no work I was charged $100 for the PM service. Second time, I inquired for a price quote on a tub surround. They sent a salesmen to our home, and it became a high pressure situation where the salesmen wouldn't take no for an answer. The sales pitch was dragging on for hours and I eventually agreed to services just to get the man out of my house. They attempted to get $8,000 for a tub surround install. If you know anything about remodel work, then you know that is outrageous for a simple tub surround install. The going rate is half of that or less depending on contractor. I canceled the service the next day and ending up doing the work myself, spending a total of $450. The third and last time was to inspect a gas line in my home going to my gas range. The tech again barely looked at it or the connections. He glanced at the back of my stove for about a minute and said "Yup looks good!". He was about to go out the door when i stopped him. I asked him if he could at least go to the basement and look the line over for safety. He agreed he could do that and I walked him down. I asked him about the gas line being bonded/ grounded. I had recently seen a safety advert talking about the importance of grounding the gas line. He agreed that if they install a gas line they have to make sure it's bonded. He then told me they could do that for me and he could get me a price quote if I wanted. I agreed I'd like a price and he went to his van for about a half hour and came back with a price quote of nearly $400! Unfortunately, I really wanted this done because of it being a safety hazard and wasn't aware of the work involved to do it. So I agreed I would pay that for the service. Well, and old work friend of mine who is an electrician agreed to come over and check things out for me after the fact. Showed me that the materials used were about $30 if I bought them at the hardware store, and when I told him that the tech was only downstairs for about twenty minutes tops he agreed it's a quick job and a very easy install. Told me the most he's ever heard of anyone charging was $100 and that's even considered high. So in short I won't ever being using their services in the future, I feel like I got had. Avoid this company if you don't like dealing with pushy salesmen, dishonesty, and/or price gouging! Only reason I'm leaving two stars is because despite it all, at least the technicians were kind and prompt, showing up exactly at the start of the time window they gave me.

I got the service contract 2 years ago that I am paying every month 20 dollars and my service charge will be free. I have not been able to have the company come and service my AC unit since then. I made an appointment in January for the 24th of August and when the time came no one came to service my AC and I had to call them to find they were not coming because they were sick so I scheduled another appointment on the 7th of September which no one again came to so I had to call and this time spoke to a supervisor who suggested I cancel my service altogether and would not pay me back the service fee I have been 20$ a month for for 2 years.

5/18: I ran a load of laundry and that evening discovered that the washing machine was not properly hooked up and emptied into the basement. My storage items were in front of the washing machine from the previous day, which resulted in damages to items including area rugs, Christmas decorations, clothing, shoes, electronics, and two baskets. I immediately called Larry and Sons and requested they come out the following day.
5/19: The receptionist stated they could not assist me with clean up. A professional cleaner completed my clean up. I have requested payment to the professional cleaner in the amount of $1,526.60 and $1500.00 for my damages; however, I believe my damages are greater. David M, the manager, has been unprofessional. The professional cleaner and myself have requested to talk with the insurance company/owner and were denied. I was able to talk with the owner on 7/26, and he stated he would meet the request. He is now not returning calls.

In july i called Larry & Sons concerning my air condition was not working.They informed me that they would send someone out to check on the problem.On july 6th a technician came to my home and said he would check out the unit to see what the problem was causing the unit not to work.A while later the technician said there is a freon leak and caused by a coil leaking.he said that he would have to replace lost freon with more freon and add a gel dye to find out where the leak was in the coil..The cost would be $ 749.00 which I paid with a visa debit card,The tech said he would be back in 2 weeks to determine where the leak was situated and that the house crispy cool.No such improvement with air.On july 21 another technician came to my residence to check where leak was sitiuated.he said leak was with the coil in the unit and it would cost an additional $800.00 to complete fixing and correcting the problem.I declined his offer.. I called the company on monday july 27 and asked to speak to one in management about correcting the problem because freon is most likely being released into th environment. Finalll the service manager reached me. and he said he could only reduce the $ 800.00 to $643.00. I decided to reject that offer because he could not guarantee that would remedy the problem and all i would be doing is putting more money out with no air condition working.I declined his offer. On july 28th I had another HVAC to come out and repair the problem in less than 2 hours for a lot less money.The problem was in a copper pipe in the sump pump and not the coil.I have had air in my home since july 28th, I am 79 yrs old and did not have air for over a month and was somewhat confined to home because of covid-19. temperature was in the 90s with a heat index of 100 plus. The air condition was installed by LARRY AND SONS less tha 3 years ago and i I had a service contract with them.
