Leaf Home Water Solutions Buyer Beware: Leaf Home Water Softeners - Short Lifespan, Costly Maintenance

In less than a year, I had two Leaf Home Water softeners installed, each failing within months. The first stopped filtering after only 4 months, and the second one after 6 months. Disappointed, I contacted Leaf Home for support.

Leaf Home offered no real solution. They pointed to a clause in their contract that eliminates their responsibility if the source water changes. The contract vaguely states "water conditions can and often do change seasonally” and that additional supplies may become necessary in the future. This broad wording allows them to claim my water chemistry shifted and that maintenance is now my problem.

The only way to sustain proper filtration is to replace the carbon media every 4-6 months, at a staggering cost of roughly $500 per replacement. Essentially, if I don't continuously pump money into the softener, I’m left with a $4,500 lawn ornament.

Leaf Home Water softeners clearly lack long-term durability, and their warranty seems designed to be unhelpful. Don't waste your money and time – look elsewhere for a reliable water softener solution.

Recommendation: Use a different provider if you need a water softening system.

Leaf Home Water Solutions Ripped off and felt pressured.

I am a senior female. I was sick and loopy on Valium because I don't really leave the house. I fell for the sales pitch. The rep KNEW I was not in a good mental state and foggy brained from the meds. The confusion of the back & forth to the water spigots, calculator action and text messages to their boss left me overwhelmed. I ended up paying $7600.00 for a $5000.00 or less system.

Recommendation: Don't fall for their tactics.

I felt the same way. I hate this system. I was never told that I was going to have to pay a annual service fee of $198 now it $398 . I was truly misled by this company hate them.

Leaf Home Water Solutions 389 dollars for yearly maintenance

So was sold the system just over a year ago, bought into the elite system. Was told since I went with this system everything was included. Maintenance, everything and that all I had to do is watch the salt. Now just a year later and my system uv bulb says it it burned out. Call this number for Maintenance and nope. They say we can schedule you but it will cost 389 dollars. I was like why I was told everything was covered. No one gives, no one cares always saying sorry I can not help you. I am a military veteran and feel they preyed on my feelings because I wanted soft water system. Yet nothing has been done and some guy in Pennsylvania calls me for Maintenance no one from Minnesota. I feel, lied to and they are totally dishonest. I would not recommend them to anyone, go with mulligan or kinetico. Just stay away from leaf home water systems.

Recommendation: Do not get this system, they charge you 8000 and only provide less than perfect customer support.

This happen to me too. I was never told that I had to pay annual fee until it started beeping. I was mad because i wasn't told about no annual fee I would have never got it. The annual fee started $198 now its 398. I wish I never got this system.

Leaf Home Water Solutions Don’t let them rip you off

First quote I got was for $12241 good for a year if I make a Decision on the spot the price is $7984 3 day of negotiating I got them down to $4825 and beware of their scare tactics I wouldn’t let that system in my house if they gave it to me they are in business to rip people off at least 3 times I was told the company is worth 3 billion who cares and their $25000 water testing machine came up with just about the same results as the $25 one you get at the hardware store. They have been in business since 2021 and claim they are the best. I felt much better going with the mom and pop business down the street that came in told me what I needed and didn’t try selling me on anything and gave me a $3950 price out of the gate

Recommendation: Explore at least 3 companies for the same set up at the same time before buying

They got me $6,000 then later tell me that I have to have pay annual fee after I bought it the annual fee was $198 I was pissed now it's $398. I refused to give the another dime. I am so pissed. I am trying to find someone else to service it. And this company is so rude.

Leaf Home Water Solutions Overpriced and dishonest.

Overpriced and dishonest.

Got a filtration system from them last year, and then the filters needed normal replacing. It had worked fine until then, so although it was vastly overpriced for what it did ($700 + $200 a year for filters, compared to about $50 and $50 a year from store-bought solutions), we were happy enough with it.

Commence the nightmare. (Well, LONG list of disappointments, abbreviated for your sanity.)

Complaints at this point (after 6 WEEKS of disservice AND COUNTING):

- It should've taken ONE visit to replace and check that it was working. However, they made 6 visits over 5 weeks, in none of which did he stay a second longer to check that it was working (would've taken about 5 minutes). Not only is this a lack of desire to do the job correctly, this is also a lack of preparedness to have the correct filters on hand. (On the 7th visit after 6 weeks, he finally stayed long enough to find out it STILL doesn't work.)

- These filter installation companies charge VASTLY more than store-bought solutions (~$1000+ vs ~$100 for system, and ~$200 vs $50 a year for filters), and according to them (once you've bought the system and need filters replaced), their systems are also vastly inferior to cheap store-bought products that actually DO clean the water, so their real product is convenience. However, at time of sale, they said filters would cost $100 a year (which was pretty ridiculous), but for this first replacement they wanted $200. Is it going to go up to $400 next year? I can still get a store-bought solution for a lot less than $200 a year.

- In virtually any other industry, if they screw up, they offer some kind of compensation, like a discount, or even a freebie. Imagine going to a restaurant on a slow night, waiting 2 hours for your meal, and the manager NOT personally apologizing and offering something for your inconvenience; you aren't going back, assuming you even keep waiting for your meal after so long. After a month of delays, during which I must secure drinkable water by some other means, Leaf offered nothing more than perfunctory apologies. I finally asked for my money back, and they said they wouldn't do it after a year of ownership, but would send someone out again to try to get it working. They have not offered any sort of satisfaction guarantee or compensation for unnecessary inconveniences of their causing.

- There seems to be only 1 day a week the technician is in my area. Maybe they should hire a second technician? I'm not in the middle of nowhere, but their nearest office services an area of at least 100 miles, which means their one technician can only handle calls from one county a day. Fine if they do the job right the first time, not fine when they can't do the job right even after 7 visits in 6 weeks.

- Though I've received many promises of a visit or call, these promises have only been kept a few times. More often than not we are forgotten. I'm starting to think the office and technician rarely talk to each other, or the office routinely ignores the technician.

This is a company that doesn't seem to care enough about its products to ensure they work as advertised, nor to honor the prices they advertise (doubling the price of replacement filters without warning, not carrying the correct filters, not checking the customer's specific installation, and then not even replacing all of them or checking to make sure they work). Instead, what I get is, "Our product isn't supposed to clean water, despite the fact the salesman sold you on that claim, and it DID clean the water for a year." Not in those exact words, but may as well be, because now that they've TESTED the water and found that the system is actually making the water WORSE than from the tap, they STILL INSIST it's working normally and I'm just fussy and don't know what I'm talking about (again, not in those exact words).

To their credit, they have been unfailingly polite, and have been decent at letting us know when they expect to arrive. The technician is polite and considerate about property, and doesn't mind questions about what he's doing. I hope he finds an honest company to work for some day.

The bottom line here is: these guys are a scam. I've been lied to constantly by management about what the unit is supposed to do, and their implicit admission that I would never have bought the thing if it didn't do what they currently claim it isn't supposed to do, coupled with their refusal to acknowledge this outright and refund my money, makes this nothing but a scam, and I will vehemently recommend to any person who doesn't want to be ripped off to avoid them like the plague. A little bit of education goes a long way.

Recommendation: Avoid,unless you like being scammed.

I got rip off to. Mines don't do what I was told it would as well. Customer server suck. I wasn't told about a annual fee until after I had the machine installed in my house. It was $198 now its $399. The service man told me if I don't want to pay for service just un plug it. They claim I missed a payment I had just paid this system off today. Then it started beeping called the service # and they hitbme with a $599 bill saying I didn't pay them for a service bill

When I never missed a bill. Even though I hate to pay them. They did a service when it was not a annual service it was a manfacture defeat on machine now they what to charge me for it. I hare this company. God going to cover me.

Leaf Home Water Solutions Absolutely the worse...

BUYER BEWARE!

We are both Veterans, Navy & Army...

We live in a small town with city water, just my husband, myself & and our 4 little dogs and one cat... I really missed my soft water I had before moving here so my husband and I talked and Leaf Home Water Solutions kept showing up on Facebook along with a few other water softener companies, I gave a few of them a call over a couple months and got process and listened to all thier little "why they are better then everyone else" speaches... well we ended up going with Leaf Home Water Solutions, becuase they lied the best I guess, they set up a install date, the first guy came out to install only to tell us we were suppose to run electric for him, which was never told to us, SURPRISE SURPRISE... and he liked like a homeless man, he was dirty, clothes were dirty and wrinkly and we were his first appointment of the day and he was late and informed us it was becuase he decided to stop for coffee and a oil change, to top it off and extreamly unprofessional in every way, so we had to make phone calls to thier office to find out what that was about, then go through the cost of hiring a electrician to run a outlet for the system to be installed, then ask them to send someone else as we were not comfortable with them sending the person they sent the first time. They sent another installer and helper and it was suppose to be 3-4 hour install that took all day, I mean all day and once they were done they left us with a leak that they are now trying to say was there to start but we know it wasn't there till they started messing with our water line, to top it off, we've called Several times now becuase it's still not giving us soft water in our home but all they can say is it test Good at the system! Isn't the point to HAVE soft water IN THE HOME! I told them I'm done dealing with the games and being talked to like I'm a dumb woman, they need to remove thier piece of junk system and return my money in full... I'm a Veteran and I can't believe we put our butts on the line for people like this! So disappointed and disgusted with this company and the way some of thier people talk to you... I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy! I just want thier system gone and my money back in my account at this point. Funny I was told when the sales man was in my livingroom that if for any reason I wasn't happy they would just refund my money no argument, and obviously that was a blanton lie as well!

Recommendation: Don't use this company if you want a working soft water system or a company to stand by thier word.

Leaf Home Water Solutions Water pressure greatly affected.

Don't do it. Don't believe everything they tell you about water pressure after installation, their price, or the quality of water you have before installation. 1. The water pressure is greatly affected. After installation, the water pressure is so low that filling a glass of water can take a minute. All the water faucets, which worked fine before, now have very low pressure. 2. Don't believe the first price, it's a farce to see if they can charge more. 3. Look closely at the water quality reading that is shown to you. Find out first what the standards are from independent sources before you believe what the seller tells you.

Recommendation: Don't install it and don't believe them.

Leaf Home Water Solutions Leaf water solutions

Product seems to work well. Installation was great and informative, sales rep was outstanding. I still have questions since I am not a water expert. Like how does all that salt effect plumbing and I have to say, I am satisfied with how the end product saves money due to not needing to purchase drinking water by the gallon and the hot water is hotter and soap seems to be more concentrated.

Leaf Home Water Solutions Run as fast as you can from this company

Run as fast as you can.

Dishonest, inexperienced, unprofessional. Here is a quick breakdown of the 3-day nightmare I was forced to endure:

1. Only authorized a $500 deposit (and told rest would be charged after installation), but they charged the entire cost to my card even before installation was completed, even when they know I was having big issues with it.

2. They installed the water softener/filtration system on our irrigation line instead of on our main water line. The guy who installed admitted it to me but then denied it the next day and 2 people were sent out to convince me that it wasn't done, even though the installer told me to my face what he had done. I had to push and push for 3 hours until finally they admitted they had installed it incorrectly. They'll tell you they have the 'best line locating instruments around' but they do not. They had to come out twice more to fix it. I was told if it had been left on the irrigation line, it would have killed all my grass and plants. Fixing this took hours and hours of stress, confusion, frustration ... just a complete nightmare.

3. They also installed a Reverse Osmosis system on our kitchen sink. The day after they installed, burning hot water started coming out of it ... I messaged them and apparently the installer put the Reverse Osmosis system on my hot water line in error ! They had to come out and fix it the following day. I have no idea if the hot water damaged the system.

4. We agreed where the outdoor filtration system would go when the sales rep came out ... he told me it couldn't be installed on concrete. And we agreed a corner of the yard would be ideal. Then when the installer showed up, he said it actually HAD to be installed on concrete, and had to install it in a less than desirable location on a fence I am re-doing soon, but said it was the only option. Just another example of inconsistency within the company ... so many times one person said one thing, another would say another thing ... it really was ridiculous.

After all this, I told them their quote was much higher than other local providers of the same equipment, and went with Leaf because of the promised 'white glove service' ... but the service I received was an absolute joke . Fortunately , even though it took hours of stress , frustration , and confusion , they did end up fixing it (hopefully it works as promised, but I am doubtful based on my experience) and the managers did at least respond to all my texts and calls, even on the weekend when they had to come out for a 3rd time to fix things. However, I reviewed all my texts with their team, nobody ever apologized to me, even once, on phone or text. I asked if I could receive some type of discount or compensation for all I went through, and I was denied.

I highly recommend that you go with another company, one who takes their business seriously and cares about whether they put their customers through so much unnecessary stress. I'm just hoping this system they just installed works ... it looks very cheap and I definitely don't trust these people.

I am 40 years old, own 4 properties across the US, have done major remodels, have worked with so many companies to install various things, and I can tell you that hands down this was the worst experience I have ever had with anyone installing anything in any of my homes. That really is saying a lot ... please don't give these people your money, there are definitely other more deserving companies who care about how they run their business.

Recommendation: Do not hire Leaf Home Water Solutions

Leaf Home Water Solutions Scammers - beware of this company

SCAMMERS- beware of this Company.My system has been installed for three months now. The *** has crack in it after the little freeze in *** and I have been calling the office for someone to come fix it. ***/*** is now telling me that the warranty does not cover it and it is my responsibility for the repair cost almost $2,000, after paying almost $8,000 for the product. This is a natural disaster and I got nothing to do with it. The company should have a better way to protect their product in cold weather. I also realized that they are taking advantage of a black woman who is trying to have a better life. Poor customer Service, communication, and personality.

Leaf Home Water Solutions I had a water system put in several months ago

I had a water system put in several months ago. I wanted/requested 2 small reverse osmosis systems, one for under my sink & one for my ice maker. They were only able to install one for under my sink. I went through their finance company and I'm being charged for 2 systems, and only received one. They do agree that I only received one, but they continue to charge me for 2. I have called numerous times and they always answer the phone and say that someone will call me back, never happens. I also own a *** am totally disgusted with the way their handling this issue. Please help me and take off these extra charges. I live in ***, . I want this resolved immediately!

We are enjoying our new water system. Our water flows freely and frees us from worrying about water and its use. Our fresh water flows into our glass or cup for drinking or cooking. Our softening system is working great and I loaded it with fresh salt. Warned by the digital window on the tank. Easier process from our previous system. All in all we are very thankful for our new system.

We really needed to purchase a water filtration/purifier and softener system due to our well water smell. *** was our consultant that came out and educated us on our individual well water after he ran the water test, which was not the generic strip water test. This water test was a full read of exactly what our water quality was and everything we would need to have a custom water system built to our specific needs. The water we are getting now after they system was installed is by far the BEST outcome we could have wanted! Now our showers are so refreshing and amazing! We thought we would have better quality water of course, but this system completely exceeded our expectations! We would recommend to anyone looking for a system upgrade!

So far (about 2 weeks after installation), I am very happy with the operation of the saltless water softener, and reverse osmosis systems! The installation went great, and the guys doing the install were fantastic! I look forward to many good years of service with these two systems.

The representative from Leaf Home Water Solutions came out and reviewed and tested our water. After determined what options I had to install a water system we chose our system. He was very professional made me aware of how the system was going to be installed. The very next day the installer came out and installed the system we had chosen. After he installed new water treatment system he showed me how the system works and how to operate the computer panels. He made it very clear if we needed any further assistance don't hesitate to call. We have had the system only since April 23, 2022 so far I have no complaints about the new water system. It was also nice that the company offers discounts for seniors and veterans, among other types of discounts.

This water system has gone far beyond my wildest expectations. I have had to deal with rust for 27 years. We had a water softener and whole house filter. They did nothing for rust. I saw an ad for Leaf and called them. Boy am I glad I did. NO RUST soft water and great drinking water. Great co. The installation was quick. The young man was very polite and respectful. No mess when he left. I highly recommend this company.

The water system itself is excellent. The salesperson was very knowledgeable. The installer was very professional and completed the installation as stated. Our only problem comes from the flush drain line that exits our garage to the outside of the house. It is a 1/2 in. solid pex line that freezes every time we drop below 30 degrees. Then when the system cycles, the salt tank overflows inside the garage.

They did a great job! The install was about a month ago and the water is clean and odorless. Even my wife who wouldn't drink the water before enjoys a glass right from the tap. Plus we noticed our fixtures are not turning brown and cruddy anymore. Great job Leaf and thank you for your excellent service.

Leaf Home Water Solutions Rural area, well water from a local water company

Rural area, well water from a local water company. Was never able to use the water for drinking or cooking. Several loads of white clothes stained from minerals in the water. I am now very happy with the Leaf whole-home water filtration system and reverse osmosis tank under the kitchen sink. Used to buy bottled water weekly and haul it home - 5 gallon jugs for drinking and cooking. Now I can drink water and use for cooking right from my own sink! My most important "test" - used RO water in an ice cube tray to make ice - my ice cubes were *** CLEAR! Big noticeable difference in the shower - skin feels so much better, shampoo *** up great and best of all NO MORE HAIR LOSS in the shower clogging up drain! The purchase was worth every *** and highly recommend!

Leaf Home Water Solutions Sales rep was not pushy at all

Sales rep was not pushy at all. In fact, due to our water quality he said he really didn't think we needed the two tank system, just the water softener which is what we were most concerned about due to buildup and scale in pipes and water lines, plus available dollars to spend. They were able to install the system the very next day as they were already scheduled into our area for another house. Installation team arrived exactly when they said they'd be there and were quite proficient in the installation. No messes were left at all. Explained system settings to us. However, in hindsight we wish now we had gone ahead and spent the extra at the time to get the taste controlling tank as we don't like the taste of the water at all. As soon as we can afford to add it, we will be.

Leaf Home Water Solutions Sales rep was on time, professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable

Sales rep was on time, professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They are NOT the only company with their treatment technology, even though they may be the first or best. But we haven't found a better system OR a better price. We no longer worry about the nasty city water we are drinking or the chlorine they add to kill whatever is in it. We have pure, chemical free, bacteria and virus free water. Also, we have had the system over a month now, and have only used about a third of a bag of salt in the softener part of the system. Our previous water softener didn't treat our water, and we went through about one whole bag of salt every three weeks, or two bags every six weeks, compared to half a bag now. Completely satisfied with everything and highly recommended Leaf.

Leaf Home Water Solutions Our water treatment system was severely damaged by hurricane Ian

Our water treatment system was severely damaged by hurricane Ian. Had been waiting months on the company that was contacted to take care of it. I went out one day looked in the brine tank full of water and bugs, every fixture inside broken. Looked on the Internet found Leaf Water Solutions, called, gave my info. Within an hour 1 was given an appointment for the next day. Steve showed up , tested the water had high concentrations of bad stuff. Gave us a quote that included a RO system for the kitchen. They came the next day had it installed and running within 2 hours. We are immensely impressed with the system, taking a shower leaves your skin feeling like just had a spa day! And the RO system makes the best drinking water and coffee we have ever had! It is a system well worth the money. We have well water.

We are new residents for the state of *** and were happy that we stopped by the company's booth at a home show. For some reason they were able to put a softener system in our home very quickly. The install was really a *** show. The first install was put in the wrong place and a hole was drilled through the cement garage in the front of the house. We called to have it moved where the plumbing was set up already previously for this type of service. The first technicians that were here were very nice but installed it in the wrong spot. The gentlemen that came to move it (by himself) didn't hook one part up the correct way even after I told him there was an existing exit spot for the drain. I now have to have the hole from the first install filled in and painted due to the system being placed incorrectly. The first system was not set up properly and our water was very salty. After the system was moved to the correct spot and the timer was figured out correctly the water is now tasting and feeling fine! It would have been nice if they provided more than 2 bags of the salt for our bin, we had to go and get some bags very quickly. So basically, they worked harder/longer than need be.

Leaf Home Water Solutions A month ago I decided to invest in a water softening and filtration system

A month ago I decided to invest in a water softening and filtration system. I am on city water which is generally considered to be clean. However I have had persistent problems over the last 10 years I have lived in my home, which was built in 2006. The problems included an unpleasant taste, calcium deposits along with a black slime (manganese bacteria) on my fixtures and appliances. I decided to call the Leaf Home Water Solutions team to perform an analysis of my water as well as take a look at the problems I was having. The decision was simple for me. I wanted reduce these problems significantly by having them install a whole home water treatment system. This was accomplished by having their team install a water softener, catalytic carbon filter and UV water disinfection system. Within one week I could tell that the water tasted better. After installation I cleaned all my fixtures including shower and glass doors. No longer do I have calcium deposits anywhere. They are completely gone. The black slime is also not present. I also noticed some other benefits I was pleased to experience. You use less soap! It only takes one-half the amount I used to use to clean myself, the dishes, laundry, etc. I also dont feel like I am still wet after toweling off after taking a shower. I actually feel dry. This is a decision I highly recommend making if you have water problems, or simply have them test your water even if you dont suspect you have any issues.

Leaf had earned my loyalty with their gutter guard product so when we needed a water solution this set them apart from the others. Their sales representative was amazing. But once install time came the team changed. They did not show up with the tools and materials needed nor did they understand the install scope that was agreed to with their sales resources. I called Leaf Home Water but was never allowed to talk to anyone in the install and service department. Long story short, after they made several trips to *** the install was complete, but I was not given anything to confirm or substantiate that the system was working, this was the last, "I don't have that piece of test equipment with me today" associated with the install. A week or a bit later their sales rep came back with the proper test equipment.It is too early to tell if this system will help with hard water scale which is why we purchased it.I will tell you this, they said salt would last a family of 2 for a few months. At 4 weeks I checked the salt container, and it was empty. Did the install team not fill it properly (salt was one of their trips to ***? Or is there something wrong with the system and it is using too much salt? If it was out of salt, what does it do? Why isn't there an alarm, a beep, a light, or some feature to let the owner know it needs salt.I'm a bit frustrated with myself, this was not one of my better purchases. In the end and if I exclude their sales resource (he rocked) this was a very "average" experience.

I was miss led by company Leaf Home water solution. When I Purchase there product I was never told that I had to pay a annual maintenance fee would never had got it. The fee is $198. now it's 398. I need help with this company the system do do what I was told it would do was make my skin feel soft and that it is good for my health every since I had this since I have had issues with my skin and stomach. Can some please help me.

On 9/23, a Rep from Leaf Home Water Solutions LLC came to my home for a scheduled appointment & conduct a FREE water test. The estimate was for an install of water treatment equipment & a sink attachment for drinking water. After the water test was completed, although no test results were visually/physically shown to me, the Rep continued writing the contract & proposed the final costs & the install on 9/25. I wrote Ck #*** for $1950 & the Rep put my credit card # in his phone for the balance of $1950.The contract states BUYERS Right to Cancel (The Buyer may Cancel this transaction at any time prior to midnight of the 3rd business day after the date of this transaction). I changed my mind late that evening about going forward with the install. I called Leaf Home Water Solution on 9/24/[protected]@9am to CANCEL the contract. Although they were persistent in their attempt to persuade me not to, I was promised my Ck would NOT be PROCESSED. Ck was processed that day! That is THEFT!

We need to know why this problem is not being addressed. It is unprofessional and exhibits fraudulent behavior. Based on the attached timeline, we are still awaiting a response from Leaf Water Solutions regarding the defective water system. From January 2022 to October 30, 2022, the water issue has yet to be resolved. In October 2022, the customer spoke to Fort Lauderdale general manager ***. *** noted that the water system would be refunded after the final Water testing. Water was tested; the results or decision has NOT been shared with the customer. From mid-to-end of October, the customer has called Leaf Water Home Solutions with no response from the local or head office. The water has a sulfur smell and is yellow, not to consumption standards.

October 24, 2022 had a pitch from sales, ***, and I advised that my main concern in water was high TDS at 654. Water was not hard. *** gave me his spiel and said if I signed up now, I would get the best price for the water filter of $4,338 but would be more later. I had the system very professionally installed on Oct 25, 2022. On Oct 26, I text *** and asked why I have brown water and that the reason I wanted a unit was to rid TDS, which was not resolved. I told *** I wanted to return since high TDS is still there. *** called install manager and had a tech come out next day to adjust settings. Still have high TDS. Oct 26th, I called [protected] for Leaf, I advised cust srv agent that the contract shows I have 3 days to get a refund for the equipment and that I wanted to make sure I did not have to put anything in writing to get this returned. She said my conversation to her is valid for the return, it was in two days and is notated on my account for a return. She created ticket ***-1 and said a manager would call me back to return. November 7th, never heard back from anyone. I called Leaf and advised no one has called me back. The lady said that someone would call me back the next day. Two days later, Nov. 9, still no one returned my call. I text the salesman, ***, he never replied back. I spoke with *** at Leaf, opened ticket ***-2. She confirmed my original request of returning units. *** bridged up the Ops Manager, ***, and I advised that I had requested to return the equipment on 10/26/22 and he asked me "Can you sell the equipment for me, because I can't take it back." I asked to speak to Mr. manager and he said he didn't have one, I asked if he was the CEO and then he got rude and said it was because I asked if he was the CEO. I said I will engage Complaintsboard.com he said "Be my guest." I want a refund and to return the eqpt since I still have high TDS and was sold the wrong product. Horrible customer service! Incredulous, still no call!

On June 30th 2022 ***, a rep for Leaf Home came to my home, tested the water and sold me a water filter. It was installed the following week and I gave the plumber a check to the company in the amount of 1969.00. As soon as we began using the filtered water there was a horrible stench. It got worse and worse-like sewage. I talked to *** in customer service and he said their system was designed for municipal water and not lake water, which is our water source. He said stated that they shouldn't have sold me a filter and how to by pass it and they would take it back and refund my money. It has been three weeks now, and I have heard every excuse as to why they can't get a plumber out here. Finally yesterday I was told that someone would be here this afternoon to remove the filter and refund my money. I took off work, thereby losing wages, and no one showed up. *** isn't returning my calls and I need some outside help to resolve this issue as the company is refusing to move on it.

After calling over 15 times and several emails the problem is still present. I have never been so disappointed in a company and lack of service. System was installed May 28, 2022...replacing our salt system ("oh, you won't need the salt system"). We paid $2300 for the salt system which LeafWater removed...and paid them $4625. Since then I have been given the royal run around. I've been told since day one "give it 2 weeks to clear itself. Here we are in September and my water in the house is terrible. *** and sales rep tell me now that we need a salt system. We're retired and my husband has health issues so we thought and were guaranteed that no longer we'd be lifting 40lbs. of salt with their system. Job # WJAX01151.

We received the leaf filtration system on 9/27/22. A week later 10/3/2022 we had black water in the tub, barely any water coming out of the faucets. We immediately called the company no answer, and left voicemail. No one returned the call. We called again on 10/7/2022, recieved a call back that someone was going to be coming out to our house on 10/10. No one showed on this date. Called again left voicemail, didn't get a call back until 10/11/22 said they would be out 10/14/22 to resolve the issue. Received a call 10/13/22 to reschedule for 10/17/22. This is the absolute worse company i have ever had to deal with, for the amount of money you have to pay, and then the people come to your house and do not even install it correctly leaving issues right off the bat. This needs to be made right asap for our family.

Leaf Home Water Solutions On 4/16/2022 I had Leaf Home Water solutions install a water filtration system on the outside of my house

On 4/16/2022 I had Leaf Home Water solutions install a water filtration system on the outside of my house. The installer cut the main water line going into my house without first shutting off the main coming in from the city water line. The main pipe was cut and water continued to flood my entire backyard for over 4 hours. I told the installer to fix the pipe and leave my house. I left to go host my event at a different location and when I returned home, the system was installed. I specifically asked multiple times to the sales man that I did not want a salt system install in my house as I have a Koi pond and any excess salt will kill my fish. I was promised no salt would enter my Koi Pond. I got my water tested after 4 fish died within 1 week. The test showed elevated levels of salt in my Koi Pond. I have tried calling this company over 15 times and the install manager is refusing to come to my house and remove this system and issue me a refund. He keeps coming up with excuse after excuse. I just want the system removed, I want a full refund and I want this company to pay for my extremely high water bill. I will be taking matter to court if this system is not removed ASAP and a refund is issued to me.

Leaf Home Water Solutions On 11/23 I met with a salesman for Leaf Water

On 11/23 I met with a salesman for Leaf Water. He asked what I wanted done with the water. I told him I wanted good water and I wanted clear ice cubes from my ice maker as the ones I had was cloudy and didn't taste right. He informed me this system would give me CLEAR ICE CUBES. He advised me the unit that I would get would cost $*** dollars and I told him I would not pay that much. He made a phone call ( to whom I do not know) and they reduced the price to $***. I purchased the unit and the salesman told me he wasn't making any money on the sale. So my wife and I gave him $*** so he would have something. They put the unit in and it leaked. I called and someone came out 2 times and tried to fix it and said they would have to put in a new unit. Then one guy came and fixed the unit. I had looked on Web and found that water softeners will clear the ice cubes and make them clearer. The person that tried to fix the unit the first time called someone (unknown) and told me they would try to switch the unit for a salt unit and that someone would be calling me. No one called. I called and talked to several people and they all were to call me back and never did.I kept calling and reached supposedly a manager and he was to see if they would replace the unit with salt unit. I kept getting told different things. then the calls stopped. The manager would no longer answer his phone. I called several times and no one would talk to me. I asked to be in touch with corporate and they said I couldn't and referred me to Installation dept. I called, left a message and never received a call back. I tried calling them several times.The job number was ***. The 2 form I have are attached. I would like them to take the unit out and give my $*** back! I am a veteran with a 100% disability and I am 81 yrs old.

So I bought this *** water system. For 6 months now been trying to get it fixed and taken care of. Its dropping salt into my water it like drink and showering in the ocean. I have sent 4 emails asking for service help. The uv light hasnt worked for 8 months now. The system is in bad shape. You call the number and bet no response or help. I need this fixed or I have to get a attorney and go to court and get them to fix it. The system has been in bypass for 8 months now uv light doesnt work have a lot of alarms and the filters shot salt in the water. Salt water, salt ice. Everything please help cause I cant get any response if they dont want to replace the system give me my money back and I get go somewhere else. I have left reviews on *** and no on answer it either. What do I do

Leaf Home Water Solutions Sales meeting and purchase occurred on on March 15

Sales meeting and purchase occurred on on March 15. Attempted install occurred on March 16. Installation process resulted in many problems. The sales person lied to me during the sales process about the ease of the installation process, the competency level of the people who would install it, the relationship between Leaf and the people who would install it (he made them sound like employees but actually it's subcontractors who barely talk to Leaf at all and knew nothing about what was promised to me). I sought removal and refund, because this business relationship would not have existed at all if they had been more honest with me during the sales process. Leaf is refusing to cooperate with that and instead wants to continue the business relationship. I think they are just trying to buy time to get me past the 3 day cancelation window that I am legally entitled to. Lies I was told during sales process: - Leaf does their own installation - "white glove" installation - installed by people who know what they're doing - outdoor pipes would "look like they came with the house" - unit will be "quiet" "quieter than that AC" - satisfaction guarantee ...Reality: - Leaf subcontracts the installation process to someone who didnt know how to make the new plumbing pass a home inspection (he left out backwash prevention for example) - Install technician was unprofessional (flirting) - Install required me to mediate between Leaf and the subcontractor who each blamed each other differences in expectations. - install had many errors (the worst of which is leaks but there are many other errors too, too many to list within the character limit) - All new pipes looked sloppy and misaligned - unit made loud noises during regeneration - many other errors too many to list here - I am not satisfied because of the sales lies. Leaf is refusing to follow through on what would make me satisfied (refund, removal, and putting my pipes back the way they were originally)

Leaf Home Water Solutions We first met with the Leaf salesman in May 2022

We first met with the Leaf salesman in May 2022. We had just moved to the area and the water softener appeared to have broken in the house we had purchased. The Leaf salesman promised us "bottled water from every tap." He said it enough times I remember it verbatim. He warned us of all kinds of contaminants in our water. He sold us a carbon water filter and a sodium-based softener, which I later found would address few of the contaminants he warned us about. The water continued to be very hard after install. We grew increasingly frustrated and eventually called Leaf again. They sent out another installer who said the first man had installed it incorrectly. Over the next week or two Leaf installed several new parts, at which point it seemed to be more or less working. The water still felt slimy and I had the same rash I often get on my wrist when my skin is too dry. At no point were we able to drink the water--it tasted brackish and made me feel nauseous. *** sent out more servicemen who ran tests and told me the water was excellent (I have requested, and not received, copies of those tests). Eventually, since Leaf wasn't doing anything, we called *** and purchased a water softener and an *** system from them. When they installed the softener the sliminess of the water decreased dramatically right away and my rash is gone. We use the *** for drinking because, although we did not know this when we moved here, most people seem to find softened water unpalatable and we are definitely in that group. Our water is too hard to safely permit of removing one softener before the new one was installed, but we made sure that the professionals removed it so as not to damage it. I called *** and asked them to remove it and give us a refund, but they refused, stating that I had voided the warranty by uninstalling it. I asked what I should have done, and they said called them and had someone come out, but he would not have removed it because it was working fine.

I had leaf water home solutions install a whole home water filtration system on my house in October 2022. In addition to that system, I also had them install a reverse osmosis system as well. The salesperson and the "manager" had a brief discussion on the phone about whether or not the reverse osmosis system would have enough pressure to make ice in my refrigerator as it was a low pressure system. The manager on the phone stated that it should work with no problem. After the system was installed, it never produced any ice or anything in my refrigerator, and I have been on the phone with leaf water home solutions several times to have this system removed as it does not perform as advertised. Several weeks and phone calls later, a "service tech" showed up at my home, and allegedly pressure tested the system, and stated that it was working with the right amount of pressure. I then asked him if he could just remove the system and hook up the main water line to my refrigerator, to wit he stated that he did not know how to do that. So how do you know how to pressure test they system but not remove it? He then asked me to sign a paper "that just states that he was here", and when I asked for a copy of it, he stated that I could take a picture of it if I wanted to. I then took the picture, and have been on the phone with them every other day trying to get this reverse osmosis system removed from my home. A few weeks after the gentleman came to my home, I received a phone call from another man, *** who tried to sell me a pump for the reverse osmosis system, and I stated to him to just please come and remove it as I was tired of all of the going back and forth and waiting days and sometimes over a week to get any type of phone call back with regards to my complaint. At this point, I would rather them come and just remove their equipment from my home and I will find someone local with decent customer service to solve my *** filtration needs.

Date of transaction 9/7/22, my husband and I had Leaf water solutions llc to provide us with a water softener that works and installed properly, as to this date they have failed, they have tried and even has switched the system with another new system , the installer(***) has come by 2x and system still not working, we were told water pressure going in was good but not coming out, *** also checked the water spicket , RO ( reverse osmosis)for drinking water and water came out milky in color, not working, I have since then was put in contact with their operations manager ***, who suggested to all of the above, my husband and I reluctantly Agreed to see if this matter can be fixed, after the 3rd time of our complaining about the system still not working and them refusing to take the system out of our home *** suggests to come himself and check out the system, again we agree,he says system was shut off( no witness to this, he says he took picture of this prior to turning it on) he was by himself , he then comes up and checks the drinking water and is still milky in color, he preceeds to drink the water , I am still not satisfied, my visitors would be disgusted to see my water, he then goes to the bathroom and checks the faucet and also water pressure and softness is water, Im still not satisfied with his findings , he then says to me, I THINK YOURE SCAMMING US, *** YOU ARE A SCAMER I then call my husband and *** says OH HERE WE GO what company sends a person like *** to go to peoples house and insult the consumer, they expect us to pay $5059.00 for something that doesnt work? *** has spoke to me in demeaning ways, also heard by my coworkers , we dont have $5059.00 to pay for something that doesnt work, my water is Milky in color , my husband has stage 4 lung cancer , this water softener does not look promising, we just want this company to come take their system out, we need help, we cant afford to pay for something that does not work

Leaf Home Water Solutions Called Leaf Home out to discuss a water filtration system installation within my recently purchased home

Called Leaf Home out to discuss a water filtration system installation within my recently purchased home. The sales man tested my water in front of me for a number of hazardous chemicals. He forwarded the EWG's Tap Water Database of *** Water and ***'s contaminants. The quality report stated there was 11 contaminants that exceeded the EWG's guidelines for safe water. The salesman told me my water had 232x the EWG's guidelines for Bromodichloromethane (*** ppm) which is cancer causing, 5.4x the guidelines for Bromoform (*** ppm) which is also cancer causing, 29x the guideline for Chloroform (*** ppm), etc. (the full report the salesman sent me can be viewed here: https://www.ewg.org/tapwater/system.php?pws=OH2504012. He pressed extremely hard about the unsafe levels of cancer causing agents in MY tap water, though this report appears to be a general write up for *** Township as a whole. I selected a SALT FREE filtration system, specified I wanted a charcoal system and some sort of system on my tap for fresh water. The Salesman promised I would have "water bottle quality water" at my tap. He quoted me roughly $12,000 for the system and when I hesitated, he told me if I booked right then and there he would run the numbers and give me a heavy discount. He hard pressure sold me on the system but offered a heavy discount for purchasing that day and for paying cash instead of financing. They installed the system we realized they sold us a Well Iron removal system even though we have city water, and had actually REMOVED the charcoal system from the price to reduce the cost and get me to purchase right then and there. I have expressed to the company we are dissatisfied and that our water still has over 700 ppm total dissolved solids (EPA standard is under 500) when the salesman promised water bottle quality water. We can't drink our water and we have a system made for a well. The salesman bated and switched us and the company refuses to fix the problem.

October 24, 2022 had a pitch from sales, ***, and I advised that my main concern in water was high TDS at 654. Water was not hard. *** gave me his spiel and said if I signed up now, I would get the best price for the water filter of $4,338 but would be more later. I had the system very professionally installed on Oct 25, 2022. On Oct 26, I text *** and asked why I have brown water and that the reason I wanted a unit was to rid TDS, which was not resolved. I told *** I wanted to return since high TDS is still there. *** called install manager and had a tech come out next day to adjust settings. Still have high TDS. Oct 26th, I called [protected] for Leaf, I advised cust srv agent that the contract shows I have 3 days to get a refund for the equipment and that I wanted to make sure I did not have to put anything in writing to get this returned. She said my conversation to her is valid for the return, it was in two days and is notated on my account for a return. She created ticket ***-1 and said a manager would call me back to return. November 7th, never heard back from anyone. I called Leaf and advised no one has called me back. The lady said that someone would call me back the next day. Two days later, Nov. 9, still no one returned my call. I text the salesman, ***, he never replied back. I spoke with *** at Leaf, opened ticket ***-2. She confirmed my original request of returning units. *** bridged up the Ops Manager, ***, and I advised that I had requested to return the equipment on 10/26/22 and he asked me "Can you sell the equipment for me, because I can't take it back." I asked to speak to Mr. manager and he said he didn't have one, I asked if he was the CEO and then he got rude and said it was because I asked if he was the CEO. I said I will engage Complaintsboard.com he said "Be my guest." I want a refund and to return the eqpt since I still have high TDS and was sold the wrong product. Horrible customer service! Incredulous, still no call!

The water comes out very hard, and leaves everything with so much rust. Everything including faucets and toliets, tiles in the shower etc are all rust or coated with iron. Dog dishes. I could go on and on.
