I have been a customer for 8 years. Each year the rates go up no matter what claims or services are used. This year the rate went up almost 20% despite no claims or tows. I contacted Liberty Mutual on 08-21-23 and spoke with Margarine followed by Claudia to try to understand why there was such a large rate increase. After explaining my issue, Claudia stated she could not hear me and the phone went dead. Within an hour I recieved the attached email informing me that my rate was only going up $22 as opposed to the $895 that was proposed. Upon clicking on the renewal button, the increase was back to $895. On 08-22-23 I spoke to Christina at Liberty to explain what happened the prior day and she advised that I was being transferred to escalations. After approximately 10 minutes, the phone went dead again! I contacted this complaint center and Jazmin Love responds back that she would look into my complaint on 08-23-23. Almost two weeks later, Ms. Love responds back and does not answer my question as to why the email I received shows a $22 renewal increase but upon hitting the renewal selection, the increase is $895. I ask Ms. Love, Consumer Affairs Specialist II with the Presidential Team, to please answer my question and that was 3 weeks ago. It is a disgrace how I am being treated by Liberty Mutual and I would like someone competent to answer my question as to why there was a deceptive email sent to me regarding renewal.
