Monstrosity installed that makes noise every time it rains
I had a very expensive A/C unit installed at the end of 2021. During the sales process the salesman mismeasured the outside condenser space. After removing my old A/C they told me they would have to reroute my copper piping since the unit was too big to connect to the existing piping. They cut a hole in my Facia and routed pipes from my attic to the outside unit and covered the pipes with a large metal cover. It is disgusting looking and every time it rains it sounds like a steel drum. I have called numerous times to get this monstrosity corrected, and each time someone promises me that a manager will call me back and rectify the issue. Almost two years later, I am still suffering with this overpriced disaster. One manager says only the installation manager can correct this, and the installation manager never calls back or fixes the issue. Today I called again and the receptionist said, this was installed in 2021 and now it's 2023, as if it's too late. So since it's taken them so long to respond to their mistake, now this is my mistake? The only mistake I made was choosing this company. I have been taken advantage of by this company. The amount of times they failed the permitting process was numerous. They only recently passed the electrical inspection ( after failing multiple times) 3 months ago. It took me threatening legal action for someone to correct the electrical installation violations. Now still waiting for resolution that seems never to come. I guess I will have to file a complaint with the state now. I am so disappointed in this company, taking advantage of their customers.

I was not recommended as stated on paper to purchase a new unit. That is a lie. The copy I have is written on a yellow work order form. Recommendation is for over priced parts. Lindstrom have been out her twice since the new parts were installed. The unit is still not working it stopped cooling and is still freezing up, so now, I am in the process of purchasing a new unit. They refused to allow me to speak with management or someone in charge. I don't have in this Pandemic this amount of money to be thrown away, and now still have to purchase a new Air Conditioning Unit for another $4,500.00.

AC Maintenance today. Technician did a terrific job. He serviced the unit, answered all my questions and concerns. Very professional, came on time. Also tested air in each room to ensure maximum cooling efficiency, including the outside unit. Expect great service from Lindstrom and the technician delivered over and above. We signed a Contract to continue receiving good service! Thank you. Hope to see you in 6 months.
The technician was there on time. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Explained the problems and issues very well and advised on available options. The air conditioner works very well now. I have tried several service providers in the past and Lindstrom is the best.

When I tried to arrange a second service visit at a later date for my second service call I was told that my contract had lapsed. When I explained that I was up North she said they had added a thirty day grace period and that had passed by a couple of days. She even had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to buy a new service contract! I told her "I don't think so and that I would find a new company to service my AC" to which she replied "OK". I guess Lindstrom doesn't care about retaining customers. I found her to be incredibly unhelpful and extremely rude. She should not be in a position of customer service.

I paid $79 for a professional to back up my feeling that *** meter is defective. While here I asked for an estimate to replace a faulty shutoff valve. Extremely high price quote to replace a shutoff valve. Technician was very knowledgeable and courteous. I declined the repair.

Your service techs/plumbers are the face of your business and today I had an extremely knowledgeable and personable gentlemen inspect one of our toilets which my daughter said was not flushing properly/completely. He explained to us that the toilet wasn't the problem, it was how it was being flushed. He further explained that we did not have the old style flap in the tank and the new style with the cylinder required that the handle be held down for a couple of seconds to allow for a complete flush and he demonstrated how that works. Everything seems to be working now that this was explained to us and I'm extremely happy with the plumber (Matt *** and Lindstrom and I would strongly recommend Lindstrom based on today's experience.
Professional and a great customer service experience altogether! The gentleman came out and looked at the leak and automatically knew what was wrong.
We have been very satisfied with Lindstrom technicians for plumbing and other services for many years. Today, a representative showed up on time and diagnosed the problem quickly, identifying an intermittent temperature sensor on our outside unit. Regarding pricing, the non-plumbing side of the business has always seemed reasonable to us, however, we find the plumbing services to be on the expensive side.

Had a new AC unit installed about 2 1/2 years ago. The unit has had problems cooling the house. The unit is under warranty however they want to charge me to come out and take a look. They were actually gonna charge me a premium to have someone come out after 5 oclock ? Ive had them out several times already and my house still is not cooling. Nobody seems to know what theyre doing with this unit. All I want to do is get my house cooled down. Thats not too much to ask after spending thousands of dollars on this unit. I am a repeat customer as well with this company. You would think they would treat me better than this. If you buy from this company just hope you get a good Unit with no issues. I hope to get this resolved because my house is hot.

I would definitely recommend NOT to do business with this company. I called Lindstrom to get an estimate of a plumbing issue in my attic, I was informed of a service call charge of $79, expecting someone to inspect the site problem by taking a walk on the attic and taking pictures to show, I agreed to it. However, the technician arrived at my house didn't even go up to the attic to visually look at the issue and provided a quote of x amount, adding that this price may increase once someone goes to the attic and look at the problem. What kind of a scam is this? I believe this company is ripping off homeowners by charging for a technician to show up who doesn't inspect the work to be done, but quotes a low price when knowingly the price will be higher when someone does actually see the work to be done. This scam must be looked into it, put a stop to this business from continuing this type of fraud. At the very least agents answering their phones should provide additional information about their fees in addition to the $79 service charge.

Engaging Lindstrom HVAC maintenance services was efficient and service was effective. Technician practiced comprehensive equipment checklist, cleaned and inspected key components, and resolved my issue (compressor starting hard, due to frayed relay wires resulting from frequent power outages during electric storms). I was so delighted by Lindstrom's quality service that I am considering hiring for duct cleanup and installation of air handler UV system given current (current SARS-CoV-19 virus and COVID-19 disease) Pandemic. Pricing terms and conditions were accurate as represented in TV advertisement. Thank You Lindstrom!
Overcharging for labor fees
Overcharging for labor fees. Came out several times to my home to resolve an AC problem. Owned my home only 1 year and 9 months and the technician comes out to find that my AC capacitor is DEAD, condenser is overheated, AND a bad rectifier plug with a in-op wire?! I've had the technician tell me the fees are for the PARTS, then the support tech tells me it's the total cost for LABOR. Tell me how LABOR for a rectifier plug is $432, and the labor for a capacitor replacement is $271? This is unbelievable and never had an issue like this with an AC company overcharging for LABOR that takes 10-20 minutes to replace. I've had lindstrom come out several times within my warranty and nothing has been done each time they diagnosed and then now THIS?! Within TWO YEARS.

I would rate zero stars but that is not an option. The plumber was completely rude from the moment he walked in the house. Focused more about the "poor design" on my washing machine drainage then on fixing the problem. He caused a backup my toilet after his attempts to find a way to snake the washing machine drain. When I showed him where the outside clean out traps were located he said he was not going to open them, I needed to do it myself or have a maintenance person do it. I have had to call another plumber to come out and fix the original problem and the additional problems caused by the LINDSTROM Plumber. When I called to complain I was dismissed and they asked what I wanted them to do about it. Mind you I have to pay the $45 service fee to the company. If you need a plumber don't call Lindstrom

I'm not sure anyone has been giddy over an A/C sale and installation, but I am! From the minute I made the call to the Sunday evening sales consultation to the installation a mere two days later, Lindstrom provided seamless, attentive, high quality service. The unit we needed was in stock, permits were handled by their office, and the installation looks beautiful. Kudos to the hiring managers and execs at Lindstrom for placing professional, well-spoken, talented, neat employees in front of customers. The four men who worked my job are worthy of much praise for their work ethic and attention to detail. We will need two more A/C units replaced in the next 6-months and I will be requesting the exact same team to work the job. THANK YOU, LINDSTROM for proving that high quality, professional service still exists!

Dave *** was polite and on time. He wore a pandemic mask and covers for his shoes. After performing his system testing he went over his findings and explained recommended repair parts, their installed cost AND the impact on performance. There was no pressure but. as a degreed engineer I could weigh the importance of replacing compressor motor start module and high intensity ultraviolet lighting to kill off mold , bacteria etc. The light replacement was useful life in the manual and moter start module starting specs were a bit out of spec as shown on smart phone photos of the current meter, So on either costlly item, I can make an informed decision..
I have had Linstrom as my a/c service company since we bought our new homed 4-1/2 years ago and have no regrets. The contact is a bit pricy but it includes 2 inspections which is really wise for "SNOWBIRDS".

Professional and courteous technicians who performed their work with the greatest detail, and cleaned up everything after they were done. Excellent follow up the next day to ensure system was functioning as expected. Lindstrom was recommended to me by my neighbor, and I can echo the same recommendation. In addition, with the product being unavailable due to supply and demand, my salesman Steve B. kept me up to date on a monthly basis. He provided me the status of Trane production, and ultimately when the equipment became available which was five months later. After receiving his notice that the equipment was available, we set installation date three days later. I waited that long because of how Steve kept me in the loop and the reputation I believed in with Lindstrom. Very satisfied with the entire process.

On 01-06-2022, Technician Bill replaced a defective electric condenser fan motor. He was nice and polite, doing a clean and neat job, ensuring all sheet metal screws were re-installed on the covers. This was unlike the previous technician who, on 12/31, left a screw off the access panel for the wiring to the motor where the capacitor is located. The total charge of $671.00 for one hour of labor to install a factory warranty part was exorbitant. I believe a top lawyer in south Florida could be hired for less. I hope the owners of Lindstrom might one day understand this frustration if they ever encounter a similar overcharge for an essential service like air conditioning in south Florida. The service should have reasonably cost no more than $200.00.

I have been a customer of Lindstrom for over 20 years in 2 homes and used them for all types of conditioning and plumbing in the past. However, today, I had a very bad experience that I need to make others aware. The apt was for 8am, the person assigned was out, so a different person arrived at 10:30am. My AC unit is 4 years old and resides in the closet. I was told I needed a new Voltage Regulator and UL Lite System. Total cost was over $1100. I asked the tech to discount me $25 as I had a Holiday Gift card. When I got the bill, It was missing the discount. When I called the office they wouldn't accept it unless I mailed the card into them. The card was right there in the closet. Now I have to mail the card in to get a $25 credit on a $1265 total bill. Forget they missed the apt, forget they missed the discount, They couldn't accept my word is what I am really upset about. I will mail the $25 Gift Card in. But I will tell you all to be aware in the future to make sure they do what they say. Very disappointed in there service today. :{

Simply the best! Lindstrom Air Conditioning and Plumbing installed 2 new AC units for me this week and I couldn't be happier. Five star customer service. I received e-mails with their license and insurance information without having to ask for it along with pictures of the technicians who would be working in my home. Steve Blair, my initial contact, was professional, knowledgeable and thorough. He used every coupon in the book to make doing both units at once a no brainer decision. Steve went over and above to communicate and make this a good experience. His estimate was clear and concise and he included things other companies never seemed to notice. I've read that when AC units fail it's most often the installation that's the culprit so I wanted to use a company that had extensive training and employees who took pride in their work. Meet Glen Gomez. Glen is a highly trained and experienced team manager. He came to my house before the work began and double checked everything after Jason's and Eric's expert installation. When a company warranties their labor for 10 years, you know they're going to do things right, and they did from start to finish.

I had a horrible experience with Lindstrom from Thursday, July 20 to Monday, August 3. I called Thursday night to report that my AC had stopped cooling. I was told that the earliest appointment for this emergency was Friday between 3 and 5 PM. Suffering in the heat overnight, I called Friday about 2 PM to check on ETA, and was told very rudely - "If your appointment time is between 3 and 5 PM, that's the time." The technician did show up about 3 PM. He too was apparently in a bad mood and appeared to be rude. He told me the compressor had burnt and I had to get a new one. I asked him to please get one ASAP.
He refused, saying all he could do was place an order and then the matter would take its own course. I accordingly called the Lindstrom office and was told by a "supervisor" that the order could not be seen. I called back in about an hour and was told the order could still not be seen, and that the technician was still at my home. I tried to explain that he had left an hour ago. Finally, I was told, after much pleading, that the order had been placed and that "once the compressor gets here someone will call and see when Lindstrom will have a slot for you". I asked if we could bypass insurance and I will pay for the compressor and for the labor if someone could get this done on Saturday by buying the compressor at the Carrier store in Pompano. The answer was "No, our system is that we only obtain parts from the warehouse not from the store. We don't know when the warehouse will send the part. Once it arrives, someone will call you. At that time we will see if there is a slot for you."
Saturday went by. Sunday went by. No news. Monday no news. I called *** Air - they showed up in an hour, and provided and installed a new compressor. I then called Lindstrom at about 5 PM on Monday to ask that my request for a compressor be cancelled, and also my service contract be cancelled. The person answering the phone did not care one bit. She said "Ok, no problem".
I paid for the service contract with Lindstrom from May to May , but I am not even going to bother to ask for a refund. I want to have absolutely nothing more to do with such rude, uncaring and nasty people at Lindstrom. ***
There is another issue - this tactic by Lindstrom is a transparent sharp business practice: I had paid, in 2016, for 10 years insurance on parts and labor. So for Lindstrom, taking care of this matter by providing a new compressor would be the equivalent of paying on an insurance claim. By this unconscionable delay of more than 4 days in the deepest part of a Florida summer compelling me to seek alternative service with Aspen, in effect Lindstrom collected their premium and then failed to deliver on my claim. A lose-lose for me and a win-win for Lindstrom. I spent 4 days in the heat and ended up paying for everything. Lindstrom sat back and did nothing - no service, no compressor, no parts, no labor, no cost to Lindstrom. Well done, ***. Enjoy.

A/C issues for over 2 years without proper solution from the company I have a Trane A/C system which was installed in June . Since then, I have called *** on numerous occasions to report issues related to condensation accumulating around the ac vents as well as issues regarding the AC running continuously. The AC unit runs for over 9 hours during spring and over 18 hours in the summer. The equipment is under warranty and a technician from the company inspects it every 6 months. Every time the technician comes for inspection, he finds nothing abnormal and states that "that's the way the AC runs". I've noticed lots of air escaping from all around the air handler and I have been told by the technician "that's the way the equipment is". I am tired of paying very high electric bills monthly and am trying to get a solution from ***. I called 2 different companies to get a second opinion and both companies have told me that the AC compressor is 4 tons while the AC air handler is 3 1/2 tons which is not optimal for the 17 SEERS that the system has. I was told that both systems are designed to match in capacity and that's the reason why the AC unit runs longer in order to reach the home's set temperature. After getting the AC diagnosis from the other companies, I called *** and inform about the problem and requested a technician to come over and check the unit I was told by the company: 1- That I have to pay for the inspection, even though is under warranty, because the inspection is considered "labor" 2- They told me it's perfectly fine to have such discrepancies in capacity between the AC compressor and air handler and nothing can be done about that because it passed *** inspection. It is my opinion that Linstrom is not a reliable, honest, professional company. They intentionally installed a system that is not optimal due to mismatches in capacity between AC compressor and air handler and which not only increases the running cooling cycle but also increases my monthly energy bill, reduces the life spam of the machine, increases the humidity of the house leading to mold and health problems, and possible violates the warranty of the manufacturer that states that air handler and compressor must be the same size
