I made my payment over the phone on 2/9 with a agent who was very rude. So rude I complained to her manager. I called on 2/25 because the payment had not cleared my account. I spoke to the same manager who I made the complaint with and she told me everything was fine and they had my payment. That following Monday they reposed my car saying they got my payment back. Apparently they tried to take the payment from a old account. The fact that I called them Friday them and said there was a problem because it hadn't cleared yet wasn't good enough and didn't send up any flags to anyone. No one thought to check the account they didn't call me on monday instead they just picked up my car? So the money is sitting in my account and now they have my car. If I wasn't trying to pay them I would be really upset but I have the money I was trying to make my payment. Now I have been calling for 2 days to trying to get my car back and no one is aviable

I agree with you about Lobel Financial. I was 39 days late on my account. I spoke to a CSR around august 18th, i told them to give me a week that i can make a payment, then the following week i can make another payment. The CSR name Maria said ok that would be fine to catch up the account. Then all of a sudden 2 days before the 25th, my car got repoed. Talking about recanting on your word. i am have tempted to just let them keep the car. i tried calling customer service and they said the collection people dont come in until 10am and to call back.

You may also want to verify that LOBEL FINANCIAL complied with California’s stringent laws concerning the repossession of your vehicle and the subsequent notice you were required to receive. Contact an attorney if you have any questions.
These same post-repossession notices were the subject of a series of class action lawsuits heard in Sacramento Superior Court (LOBEL FINANCIAL Auto Cases, Case No. JCCP 4563). On March 26, 2010, Judge Michael P. Kenny issued preliminary approval of a class action settlement collectively resolving the matters after California consumers Ivon Lara and Jaime Penuela filed separate complaints against LOBEL after LOBEL FINANCIAL sued each of them for a deficiency balance on the repossession of their vehicles.
LOBEL general counsel, Gary Dean Lobel, declared that there were 9, 159 consumers whose outstanding deficiency balances totaled more than $43 million. LOBEL agreed to halt all collection activity on those accounts. LOBEL also agreed to waive the entire $43, 808, 147 in alleged deficiencies and to delete consumer credit reports of LOBEL FINANCIAL trade-lines.

I spoke with rude customer service name Arthur. Iwanted to schedule a payment of $376.00 but they reposses my car since I move from my previous address & the phone # were disconnected. They call my work # & my cell phone a couple times to provide my car keys. I tried to work with them, but they keep asking me that I need to provide 2 more phone numbers for relatives or address. Now, they saying that it was my fault because I moved & never updated my address. The customer service is terrible & rude!. Please do not used lobel for anything. Worst bank in the world!

Lobel repossessed my car also due to their own error from the first day I bought it. Within a week of buying my car, Lobel called me to verify my information. She verified everything but the important stuff! I kept asking her if she had my correct mailing address because the city I live in does not have mail delivery and we have to receive our mail by p.o. box. She told me not to worry and that they have it but she never read it to me. I didn't get anything in the mail from Lobel for over a month and had no idea where to send my first payment to. I started calling the dealer about this and was given the number to call. They gave me the run around and told me not to worry that I should be getting the papers in the mail. Each time I called, I stressed to them that I need to make my first payment so that my account wouldn't go into default. I finally asked to just make the payment over the phone using my credit card and was told that I couldn't. They only accepted checks by phone with an additional fee. I don't have a bank account! Found out they never had my p.o. box info and was sending paperwork to an address that doesn't even exist. When they finally got the address right, and I was making my scheduled payments on time, they show up at my house while I'm at work and repo my car! That was my only means of transportation and was dropped off at work by my husband! Called them immediately and was told that I had to wait for a manager to review my account. Made me wait for 2 days before the manager even got around to my account while storage fees are racking up. When they finally call me to let me know why they took the car, they wanted over $1000 from me. They said that it didn't matter about the mistake they made on the address and that it was my responsibility to make the first payment that was missed even though I had no idea where to send it and they wouldn't give me the info. I told them to keep the car and stick it in an unpleasant place. Hate this company! They lie and rip us off!

My car was reposed in July. I was only behind on my june payment, and not even a full payment, I did make a partial payment. After I called them and told them that I would pay it as soon as I got paid. It was 4 days away and I had to pay over 1000$ to get it back and they now have my credit report marked as two late payment. I could not be late for July, as I had to bring my account current in order to get my car back.
I also called in Aug and set up a payment arrangement and the guy on the other end did some sneaky activity, and did not tell the whole truth, and because of it, I was charged a late fee. And I did not find that information out until the next month when I got my next statement. I called and talked to the supervisor and she told me that there was nothing that she could do as they only keep the recorded calls for 30days.
They did try and pull the NO insurance coverage twice with me and told me that it takes up to 14 days for them to receive and process a faxed in document.

Their customer service agents are ruthless and they really just don't care and they are not held to any standards.
I filed a complaint with the BBB as well. And posted it on my Facebook page, that if anyone is approved by them, not to do it.

I was 37 days late on my car payment and I called up to tell him I was getting paid that Friday and that can make a payment and bring the account current she said okay no problem they asked me where the park where the car was parked and I gave me the address thinking everything was fine cuz I just made the payment arrangement it was only Tuesday and I'll be paying them that Friday on that night they came and repoed the car Tuesday night and then they lied and said I borrowed 10,000 when I only borrowed $6,000 11 keep the car then they took me to court got a judgment against me for $11,000 which I paid in full but that was fraud on the dealership part and I was not aware of it until they repoed the car so then I pay him in full and they are refusing to remove it off my credit saying that they charged it off and I owe them $768 they were paid 100% in full they garnished my wages court ordered have to pay them in full which I did and got the completion on the wage garnishment showing that they're paid in full and they still will not say that I paid the loan off and I don't care if they leave it on my credit report I just want to show that it was paid in full not that they charged it off and there's a balance due because that's not correct and they won't fix it it's the worst company I've ever dealed with customer service it's the worst by far they hire white trash who don't know what they're doing and for all the employees and for the company itself I hope a camel with the weak bladder walks over your face
