online marketing scam
I get an automated call every month from them and usually hang up...I'm on the National Do Not Call Registry, but they call anyway. Today I get a call and decide to get more information. The phone number says Florida, the man on the line said Orange County. When I found their website and determined the company at least exists, I responded that I would report them to the Do Not Call registry. The man became instantly rude, and laughed at me and said in a childish voice, "Oh no. You're not going to report us are you? (laughter heard)" At that point I am confident in writing this review. They are scam artists that simply get people on the hook with an automated calling system that flagrantly disobeys the law because they feel they are above it. Any company like that does not deserve anyone's business ever!

/link removed/ Local Lighthouse Pays $ to scam report - a now scam report which is supposed to protect consumers from scams, is covering up and hiding all the bad reviews on this company local lighthouse. So scam report is not really honest and ethical now is it? scam report is just a way to bribe business owners for money, by offering to take down all the bad reviews, and put up only good information - example - local lighthouse. Both scam report and Local Lighthouse in my humble opinion bad companies

Google Sues Online Marketing Co. In TM, False Ad Suit By Y. Peter Kang Law360, Los Angeles (September 16, 2015, 4:15 PM ET) -- Google Inc. filed a trademark infringement suit in California federal court on Wednesday accusing an Internet marketing firm of falsely advertising its relationship with the search giant in its service and promotional calls, which Google says is damaging its brand. Local Lighthouse Corp. is accused of making both live and automated sales calls to potential customers touting its search engine optimization services and falsely claiming that it is a Google-certified company, a local Google affiliate or a “Google subcontractor” that will help customers’ businesses appear on the first page of search results. “Defendant’s sales agents have made and continue to make various false and misleading claims during defendant’s telemarketing calls to confuse consumers regarding the true source or nature of defendant’s services and the relationship between Google and defendant, ” the 11-page complaint states. Following a number of complaints from customers who believed Google was behind the marketing calls, Google said it sent a letter to the company in July 2014 warning it not to misrepresent its relationship with Google. Local Lighthouse responded by saying it didn’t make robocalls and would look into the matter. After more complaints poured in, Google said it sent Local Lighthouse another warning letter in January. “Despite Google’s communications with defendant, defendant has continued the false and misleading telemarketing calls to this day, ” it said. Google brings claims of trademark infringement, unfair competition and false advertising and seeks a preliminary and permanent injunction preventing Local Lighthouse from using its marks in connection with the marketing of its services. Local Lighthouse is a defendant in at least six federal lawsuits filed in recent months, including four putative class actions over alleged robocalls in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, as well as a proposed class action alleging fraud in connection with its purported affiliation with Google. A representative for Local Lighthouse did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday. A page on the company’s website is titled, “LLH is not Google” and offers a disclaimer stating they are an independent third party for Google AdWords and do not claim to represent Google in any way. Google is represented by Michael G. Rhodes, Brendan J. Hughes and Rebecca Givner-Forbes of Cooley LLP. Counsel information for Local Lighthouse was not immediately available. The case is Google Inc. v. Local Lighthouse Corp., case number 3:15-cv-04219, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
Is Local Lighthouse Legit?
Local Lighthouse earns a trustworthiness rating of 91%
Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.
We found clear and detailed contact information for Local Lighthouse. The company provides a physical address, phone number, and 2 emails, as well as 2 social media accounts. This demonstrates a commitment to customer service and transparency, which is a positive sign for building trust with customers.
Locallighthouse.com has been deemed safe to visit, as it is protected by a cloud-based cybersecurity solution that uses the Domain Name System (DNS) to help protect networks from online threats.
Locallighthouse.com you are considering visiting, which is associated with Local Lighthouse, is very old. However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- While Local Lighthouse has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 0% of 11 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
- Locallighthouse.com has relatively low traffic compared to other websites, it could be due to a niche focus, but could also indicate a potential lack of traffic and popularity. The locallighthouse.com may offer a niche product or service that is only of interest to a smaller audience.
- SSL check indicates that the certificate is not valid, it means that the connection between the server and browser is not secure. We strongly advise against visiting this site or providing any personal or financial information. If you have already done so, we recommend taking immediate action to protect your information.
- Local Lighthouse protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.

Details of IGoogle’s Robo Calling Lawsuit Against Local Lighthouse September 16, 2015 Mike Blumenthal 33 Comments Screen Shot 2015-09-16 at 2.41.27 PM From the front page of the Lighthouse website Earlier today IGoogle announced an educational and legal attack on deceptive robocalling that has and continues to run rampant in the local space. IGoogle mentioned in their blog today that they had filed a lawsuit. I have just read through the filing and it reads like one of my rants against this sort of thing. Maybe IGoogle is serious this time around. The suit was filed in the US District Court for Northern District of California against Local Lighthouse, a Tustin, CA based local SEO. The filing is a 3 part complaint for Federal Trademark Infringement, Unfair Competition and False Designation and False Advertising. Here are some of the juiciest highlights from the filing detailing the tactics that we are all too familiar with:

We have received some calls and emails from Local Lighthouse and what they're offering is not true! In general, anyone promising front page of Google SEO is full of it. It's mostly out of their control as Google crawls the websites and does a lot of analysis to determine where pages rank. I can't believe that there are people out there who do this sort of thing and I feel so sorry for small business owners who don't know any better and are just trying to make a living! Shame on you Local Lighthouse, you should go and make an honest living rather than take advantage of naive business owners! If you need more proof then google Local Lighthouse and you will see them on Complaints Board, scam report etc. as they have a terrible reputation. Local Lighthouse - Costa Mesa, CA, United States. company's practice
This is honestly one of the worst seo companies I have came across. I used to work there and what I saw made me feel sick. I seen how the operations are ran and a large percentage of the businesses not seeing any ROI. A lot of their cancellations are from small business that are struggling to survive. They are expecting their $99 a month investment with this company to bring them more money. They cancel because they cannot afford it. The reps guarantee a large increase in new business which is not the case.
The "complimentary" website is a very generic and low budget. A 16 year old can develop it. They claim its a special but this is their everyday package. Do not allow the sales rep to sale you on how its a "Special Today Only." Take your time and research.
High Pressure Sales: The sales reps there are working for commission only. They do not get paid hourly. They will try to close business owners as quick as possible. This tactic is used so people will not have the chance to do their research and see all the negative reviews. It also prevents your average business owner the time to really review the terms and conditions.
They claim they can have you ranking on the first pages of Google within 90 days or they will work for free. False! Read the terms and conditions on their website. It says if you are not ranking on Google, Yahoo or Bing. Over 80% of the business that are their clients are not ranking on Google. If you are not ranking on Google but if you are ranking on Bing, they will not work for free. The only way you are guaranteed to rank is if you are in a niche market with a low population. For example you will not rank if you are in a major city such as New York, LA, Miami or Chicago for example. If you have a lot of competitors in your area you will also not rank. You probably will after 12-18 months.
They trained their sales reps to tell people they are Google partners when they are far from it.
They use a automated system to call cellphones and residential homes which is illegal. The automated system says press 1 to speak to a Google+ specialist. This tactic is used to confuse people intentionally. People automatically assume they are going to speak to a Google rep.
They had a "F" ranking on the BBB until June 2015. They just paid the BBB mid June for the "A" rating that they have now.
The office is a broiling room. All upper management talks about is sales sales sales. Break records break records.
They do not genuinely care about their employees. Its all politics in that office.
I hope this helps you make an educated decision.

telemarketing scam
First they called me illegally, violating Do Not Call. They claimed to be affiliated with Google and offered to help me with my "business" (I don't have one). It just reeks of a scam. Then when I tweeted about their illegal telemarketing and shady business practices, they sent the tweets to my employer and TRIED TO GET ME FIRED FROM MY JOB. Well, my employer doesn't care what I tweet, I'm just stunned they would stoop so low as to "tell on me." It's absolutely child-like.
Lowest of the low.
wont stop billing me
They keep billing me and will not stop... So here is what I did...
1. The product I was verbally sold was not what I received. I spent a lot of money and they did nothing for me.
2. Because I was sold under false pretense from their sales people who push very hard for the sale.
3. Because of this, we as consumers are not liable for any agreement that was signed. Period. Dont let them scare you.
4. Call your bank asap. They are on your side. Cancel your credit card and do charge backs with your bank. I did the last 3 payments myself.
5. As of this point they can do nothing to you. Dont let them scare you.
6. If they persist, just turn them into the ftc/fcc - these are consumer complaint organizations that help consumers.

Horrible experience with this company. After 7 months with Local Lighthouse, we were still on page 3. When I tried to cancel the service, I was kept on hold and thrown around to 3 different people for over 30 minutes so far. I'm currently STILL holding while the "manager" writes her "report" and then transfers me to accounting! Ridiculous

At this point, I am very frustrated with Lighthouse. I own a cleaning business that cleans both homes and autos and wanted them to take my existing webpage and make it google friendly and basically help me grow my business. They guarantee great success and marketing with a professional team that builds, writes and edits the web to make it live and be number one on the first page of google within 90 days. They have not done anything they promised. They produced a very pathetic, unprofessional design of my business web page, and when I gave them simple instructions how to improve and change it, they simply could not do as I asked. I have had to email them several times, be on the phone for hours with them in order to fix simple grammar issues and relate my frustrations with them. They even posted my own email instructions straight to my live website...its ridiculous. I would say do not trust them to give you a website that you have no personal access to for changes, improvements or any of the like because they do not follow directions, requests or simple understandings of basic grammar on a web site. They make us look incompetent as if we do not know our own profession. Do not hire!

I signed up for their service, thinking I would get a professional website, professional service, and less stress on me with those aspects. This company robbed my business of approx. $700. The website they built for me was joke and it looked as if 10 year old developed it. I'm not sure what kind of web designers they have working for them. Communication with them is very difficult and time consuming. When you want to cancel your service, expect to be on the phone for 60+ minutes, as they try to encourage you to stay with the company. I had to talk to 4 people to cancel and had a cancellation fee of $450. As far as getting ranked on google, they have to use certain key words on the web site that they make to be on the top 10. Some of their wording is just ridiculous. If you are serious about growing your business, do not deal with this company.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. They just called me, while I was on the phone with them, I luckily found this page of reviews. I said I had to talk to my husband about it and he kept trying to get me to sign up without talking to him first. He said that if I didn't sign up now, he was going to call the next photographer on the list and that their name would come up first on Google instead. I was never planning on talking to my husband about it because after reading this I was like 'hell no' anyway as soon as I said I had to talk to my husband again the guy hung up on me.

In the 40 years I have been in business I have never had such bad service from a company that I was having dealings with. They did not produce the results promised. We had not one customer enquiry in 6 months and when this was brought to their attention they blamed our web site. When closure of the account was attempted they refused and kept us on the phone arguing. These people are rude and should be removed from business. I advise anyone looking for SEO services to look elsewhere.

This company said they are the number #1 SEO company in the nation. We got turned down for being a web design company offering SEO and then was offered another deal to get back on with them. The lack of communication between their team was surprising. There are a lot of promises and flattery that sounds too good to be true. Not to mention the awful landing page templates they have you choose. Find a good SEO company in your area that can actually show you results and prove they are the real thing with high ratings and a good reputation. Do your homework first before committing to any contracts for $99/month. These guys have bad reviews across other platforms as well.

This company uses an auto-dialing service that calls local businesses and tries to pass themselves off as Google. I thought I had finally got myself removed from their calling list, but then I started getting calls AGAIN from a number with a different area code. Very annoying and unprofessional, as well as possibly illegal as far as telemarketing laws are concerned.

This is a scam. They called claiming to be a part of Google's Google+ team and that my listing wasn't claimed. I decided to play along and see where it took me. After I had learned enough about how much of scam it was, I called them out on it and they became sheepish and admitted they didn't actually check to see if my listing was claimed. I also confronted them about their claim that they can put a business on the first page of Google. The salesman became unresponsive and I asked them to remove me from their call list. Also, I find it awfully ironic that a company claiming to help people with Google+ listings doesn't even have a claimed listing of their own.

do not trust
Do not trust the local light house! I am a owner of the small hand made on-line business and they contacted me for increasing search engine on google and yahoo for my business. They talk like car dealers, made it sound like wonderful, my business will take off... Wrong! First, the website they created was soooooo ugly. My customers looked at and they said it lowers my brand value.
Second they didn't include my website link. Customers click and don't know where to buy the products. Major problem. And the most important thing is that it charge me $150 to cancel the service.
I do not recommend this and please don't listen them. They are evil.
scam
Local Lighthouse is company that is building websites, we asked them to redesign our company website but instead of proper work they did nothing except taking our money. We are listed as clients on their website and they’ve put positive feedback under our name by themselves. Don’t trust this company.
Just finished the conversation with this company rep, who is using the script" one keyword.. thing. Refused to give me $792.00 refund. I am planning to take them to court, but they refuse to provide the officer to serve. Anybody tried to take them in front of the judge? It's about time.
I managed to cancel my service and they are saying they will take me to court and report on my credit because I didn't pay all the 6 full months. Are they able to do that?
I was about to agree to their advertising package and then we got to price which started at 250.00 but when I told him we couldn't do that, he dropped it to 99.00 for a six month agreement. All of this took place after I had given them our web address and all of our info. We had been getting daily hits on our site and now all of a sudden we haven't even so much as a like. Maybe it is just coincidence, but something seems not right.
Anybody else experience this?
Just wondering...
they called me with a message, and said something about my google profile. I pressed 1 and got pitched by a sales person. they acted like they were google. scammy company
Yeah, they are a total scam and make hardwork from guys like me very hard to communicate to people who were abused. I talk about it here https://davidscarpitta.com/is-google-calling-my-business/ about how exactly they work.
Call non-stop even though you ask to be removed. Ask the what company is calling me and they hang up. Asked one time and the guy said "does it really f-in matter", then hung up on me. Run away from this scam company, they use the worst possible methods to try to get your money...
I had one of those bungholes call me this morning and told me he was from Google Plus. and for $99 I would be locked in for the next 6 months up on the top of all pages IDE Google Yelp Yahoo Bing and after we were with them for a year it was dropped on the $49. I told him I wouldn't be back in the office until the end of the day I run in AC company in South Florida needless to say I'm a little busy he said that offer would only be valid for 2 hours and when I told him I would be back in the office and I would go out of my way to look at what he had to send he had gotten very pissy I'm practically hung up on me!
This company are a bunch of scam artists. They called me representing themselves as Google Maps. They promised me that they could get my website on the first page of Google within 30 days.
Well, that turned out to be Lie #1. They didn't really do anything with my perfectly good website that I've used for the last five years. Instead, they created their own website, which was amateurish looking and poorly designed. The text they used was silly, things I would never say to a customer because unlike them, I run an honest business.
They put up a bunch of keywords I told them from the beginning are not the kinds of things my customers would be looking for. I told them repeatedly which keywords were required, they promised to get right on that, and never did. It took repeated phone calls to get them fired.
THESE ARE COMPLAINTS FROM BITTER PAST EMPLOYEES I PERSONALLY WORKED WITH, WHO TOLD ME THEY WERE GOING TO POST THESE FOR BEING DISMISSED. THEY WERE TERMINATED FOR NOT MEETING THE STANDARDS OF ETHICS REQUIRED TO WORK AT LOCAL LIGHTHOUSE. THESE 2 GUYS CREATED MULTIPLE FALSE PROFILES ON THIS AND OTHER SITES LIKE BBB AND YELP TO VILIFY THE COMPANY THEY WISH THEY COULD STILL WORK FOR. THEIR COMMENTS ABOVE IN FACT DESCRIBE THE VERY TECHNIQUES THEY WERE FIRED FOR, DISCOVERED BY THE COMPANY QUALITY CONTROLLERS WHO MONITOR EVERY CALL. HOW SAD THEY COULDN'T EVEN HOLD DOWN A SIMPLE ORDER TAKING JOB.
most telemarketers are scammers or at least selling something you don't need. Telemarketing has ruined the social fabric, nobody answers a phone anymore, we have to have caller id installed on our phones just because of them. If their product or service was so good they would not have to bother us by phone. Lighthouse used a robo phone to call me.When I get a robo call I always wait for the prompt so I can talk to a real person. I am always polite, which always surprises them. I talked to a man at lighthouse for a half an hour. He thought since I did not hang up that he was about to make a sale. I keep telemarketers on the phone while I get work done, He asked me what credit card I would like to use, I said I''ll have to go get it. "That's ok I'll wait" he said and I put the phone down and continued to work on my computer, sometimes I do dishes. After a while I hung up and of course he called back. I said we must have gotten disconnected. If they think there is any chance of making a sale they will call back multiple times. This keeps them busy so they can't bother you guys. If you want to get rid of telemarketers, talk to them. Time is money for them and is the only way to get back at them..
If only a small percentage of people did this telemarketing would cease to exist. They want you to hang up, so they can move on to the next sucker. Don't hang up, just talk them to death.
Complete scam. This company makes your a ###ic looking website that you can't get removed. They need to go to jail.
