Long Home Bath review: Bath/shower remodel

I hired Long Home for a bath/shower remodel August 2022 @ 9 Perth Drive Fredericksburg. Kate Moats was the sales rep and she did a great presentation. Shame on me for falling for the lies.

It was explained that the crew would be professional, experienced and even certified for removal of mold.

Instal kkaton began in October 2022. The crew that arrived, two young men, late teens to twenties, with little experience, not certified in anything. They demo’d bathroom, broke several floor tiles. I was assured they would be replaced.

1st problem, they didn’t know they were extending the wall and adding another shower head. They had already started to install the wrong basin. The crew said they weren’t aware and didn’t have what they needed. Had to have another person bring the additional shower head. Multiple trips to hone depot. The window kit placed was sloppy and crooked. The shower head leaked. The shower bar not level and not even on the wall. The mess was awful. I was promised tile repair and clean up. There was caulking everywhere. Scratches and dirty handprints all over my walls. They took 3000 dollars off my bill after I argued with the manager. They sent a handy man to clean up bathroom and paint. I paid for the paint. This bathroom presented so beautifully in a PowerPoint was not even remotely what I received. The design was supposed to be two glass panels left and right open concept. I am not a designer how would I know this would not work with dual shower heads. Water just leaks out the open space. I gave to have a shower curtain up. Cannot get the glass guy to call me back after several requests thru long home and several attempts at reaching him directly. Caulking is terrible and moldy. Leaked out around the edges causing damage to my ceiling. Their Repair man came to address the caulking and ceiling repair but would not wait for their plumber to arrive first to assess the leak. So plumber had to cut a hole in another area. Hope is still there called twice to set up repair no one has showed up.
