I decided to go with Bath Makeover for a few reasons
I decided to go with Bath Makeover for a few reasons. I want to support locally owned businesses. I liked the Grazie Collection best, unlike the other stuff everyone else showed me. Most of all though, I liked the Price Lock Guarantee because I was able to get several estimates and they still honored the price weeks later. Everyone else was so salesy and high pressure.
I had a shower stall replaced along with a complete bath makeover
I had a shower stall replaced along with a complete bath makeover. The shower head was installed facing the door instead of on the side wall where it was agreed upon. You cannot enter the shower without flooding the bathroom. They refuse to stand by their work and correct this error. They also made other changes to the original design without telling me until it was too late. They have offered to correct the error if I pay more. I would never recommend them to my worst enemy!
Don't do business with these people
Don't do business with these people. The product is ridiculously overpriced. You can buy the similar shower wall sheets for less than half the cost at a big box home store. The first installer came out and did such a horrible job, the second team came out and basically ripped the whole thing out and re-did it. The second team was scheduled to come out on a Monday. The office called on Sunday and told me they didn't finish their job from the previous week, so it would be Tuesday. When the second team arrived, one of the guys told me he had dinner plans with his wife, that's why they were a day late. I'm 4 hours away from where their installers live so when they come up here, it's an overnight stay for them. Instead of just telling me the installer had a personal situation come up, they chose to call and lie to me. The irony of this is when they finally did show up, they had the wrong materials so they had to make a third trip a month later after they re-ordered the materials. I waited 2 1/2 months for a shower door to be installed. The door is fine, but they left a bunch of tiny sharp aluminum shards and shavings in the bottom of the shower. Luckily I saw this before I stepped into the shower barefoot and cut my feet up. I was out of my bathroom for 4 months. The final work is passable at best, but I'm not thrilled with the end result for the money I paid for it, nor the less than stellar experience I had with the install. I would not recommend.
The scope of work covered two bathrooms
The scope of work covered two bathrooms. The first bathroom entailed removing a large & heavy jacuzzi bathtub. along with a large and small wall mounted mirrors. The door way was increased from 24 to 30 inches and a walk in tub installed. A new light fixture and acrylic covering for some of the walls were added. In the second bathroom a shower was removed and replaced with a new one. Though the quality of the actual products provided by Bath Makeover of Arkansas seems to be fine, I can't say the same for their workmanship. In the first bathroom part of the base of the toilet was broken off while removing the jacuzzi tub and a poor repair was made. We were never informed of the damage or repair. Not understanding the actual damage structurally or from a water perspective, we have replaced the toilet. In widening the door the hardwood floor covering the 6 inch difference had to be filled and blend in with adjacent flooring, an absolutely atrocious job. We have had this redone correctly. At access points in the crawl space insulation had been removed and not replaced. Electrical wiring wrapped around water pipes instead of being attached to the beam. We will have corrected. In the second bathroom the shower leaks, even when putting towels down we still have to mop the floor. We are in the process of figuring out how to fix. Responsiveness and communication are clearly not Bath Makeover of Arkansas's strong suits. When signing the contract April 21 we requested samples of acrylic coverings so we could shop and purchase floor tile. We were assured several times by both the sales person and the program manager they would make it happen, not so. We notified the program manager about the shower leak via telephone on August 6 and the response was he would check with the installers. On August 17 we sent an email listing everything above with pictures. We sent a follow up August 27,2021, so far no response. We don't have a lot of confidence in their responding to a warranty issue. We would rate them a 3 stars and would not use them again nor recommend them.
Getting old is no fun
Getting old is no fun. I recently had knee surgery and I needed to convert the bathtub into a shower. The workers were professional and I gave them a tip once they finished. The LED grab bars were a nice touch.
We just had our bathroom remodeled
We just had our bathroom remodeled. My wife wanted to update to a more modern look. We chose Bath Makeover because they are local and have a 5 year workmanship warranty. They also had a special going so we saved $1500 . Our new bathroom looks amazing , the quality is top notch, and we now have peace of mind knowing that as we get older , the safety features we chose will help us live long, happy lives! The whole process was very easy going and professional from start to finish. Thank you for a great remodel!
Really like that they are local and not a national franchise or big corporation
Really like that they are local and not a national franchise or big corporation. We needed to get our bathtub removed and wanted a nice shower, we saw they were running a special where we could save on the installation and get an extra discount for senior & military. The salesman was a nice guy, we didn't have to make a decision that day. We had two other quotes after but really liked them the best so we called them back to do the work. Took about a month to get the materials and then the install was only two days. They left cleaning instructions and a copy of the warranty.
When I signed the contract with Bath Makeover of Arkansas, the salesperson said that a licensed plumber would do all
When I signed the contract with Bath Makeover of Arkansas, the salesperson said that a licensed plumber would do all plumbing work. On Wed. of last last week, two installation workers with Bath Makeover came to my home and took out the old bathtub and took the wall down to the studs and plumbing lines. When it appeared that they were preparing to do plumbing work, I asked if they were licensed plumbers. They said, "No." Although one said that he plumbed in Mexico. I called my son who is a licensed plumber and he said that I should call the city code enforcement officer. He came, asked about licensure and told the workers that they could not do the plumbing and also a permit was needed. After talking to their boss, the workers left. I was left with a mess. I tried on Wed. and Thursday to contact Bath Makeover and they did not answer. On Friday, a company person called and said a licensed plumber had been found. The licensed plumber came and worked for 3 hours. After he left, the company called and said that the installers would return on Sat. The workers came on Sat. and finished the shower and put down flooring. It looked good and I accepted the work. A half hour after they left, I started cleaning the toilet stool and it moved. The bolts at the base of the stool were lose and one was leaning. I called the company and left a message. No one called until Mon. At that time, they said the workmen would return to look at the stool. On Tuesday, they returned with a new wax seal and a metal piece. One of the workers said that he knew it was not secure on Sat. I stayed in the bathroom while they pulled the stool. The old seal was still in place. It was obvious even to an older person like myself that the seal was not a new one that should have been replaced on Sat. When they replaced the seal, realigned the bolts, the stool was firm. What I paid for was qualified people to do the work and in and out two day service. I am writing this especially for older people who may not be aware of their right to quality and timely work. What is advertised by Bath Makeover of Arkansas is not true.

I ordered two bathroom remodels in July 2022
I ordered two bathroom remodels in July 2022. One was completed fairly soon after ordering. I was told to go ahead and tear out existing bathroom fixtures in the other bathroom and prepare for the second remodel. We did this as requested in August 2022. It is January 2023 and the bathroom is still not complete. I have been told on numerous calls between August through December that parts have not arrived. In November 2022, I repeatedly asked the salesperson, [salesperson's name], to provide the general manager's number so I can update them on this situation. He refused to give me the number several times. On January 9th, I called the company and waited for the General Manager [General Manager's name] to answer the phone. He stated that he had no idea that the order existed and it "fell through the cracks." I have called/texted [salesperson's name] the salesperson numerous times with assurances that this was being addressed. My family of four has been sharing one bathroom since August. I could have kept the old fixtures in if I knew it was going to take this long. I am seeking an apology and discount due to poor communication and poor scheduling.
