The tub/shower conversion came out as planned. The installers were on time, professional, and quite skilled. I am very pleased with the results.
I had a problem with the installation of my tub-the door would not seal, the tub leaked
I had a problem with the installation of my tub-the door would not seal, the tub leaked. It took numerous phone calls. but the problem was solved.
Failed to complete the installation & revoked any warranty.They improperly installed our walk-in tub with unlicensed installers. They did not close in the side of the home they removed to install the tub. We had to go out of pocket to install the water heater close the side of the home and replace improperly installed plumbing. They left us without a toilet. We had to hire a plumber to set the toilet which was roughed in 10" and at a 20-degree angle which prevented the opening of the tub door from the wall. We then had to hire a new plumber to move the toilet to the code distance from the wall.We had to hire a contractor to put the exterior wall they removed back up. They did not install the Shower rod for the tub as purchased.They refused to make any corrections for the inferior installation and incomplete work. They eventually refunded us $1000 to install a water heater. They refunded us $1300 to have the plumbing corrected. Actual cost was $3500 for the plumbing and $1800 for the exterior wall. They have refused to complete the installation of the shower's adjustable spray pole, by claiming they invalidated the warranties and agreements because we complained and ask for some remittance for the incomplete and improperly installed support plumbing. They have refused to supply us with any evidence of permits pulled and approved nor the license information or legal address of the installer to report them to the *** for doing unlicensed work in ***. We need information to go after the bond of the installer they sent. We need compensation for the repairs to the home exterior left open for us to enjoy during the winter. Last, we need the warranty reinstated in accordance with their sales agreement. i.e. repair if warranted equipment fails its repair or replacement, and the agreement to move the tub to a new location if we need to move again.
We had the Independent Home walk in tub deluxe model installed. After using it two time for baths I wanted to just shower and the drain wasn't working right. I knew if it wouldn't drain and the water got above the edge of the door, I would not be able to get out so kept working the drain by opening and shutting it. I did not finish my shower but did get my hair washed.When i called Independent Home I was treated very well. They didn't have a technician to come out, but asked if we had a handyman that could put up the riser the techs did not install and check on the drain line. We did and before the handyman came, we also used the plunger on it and it was working when the handyman installed the riser. He helped me check it out.I was concerned about violating the warranty but when they suggested we get someone it was a big relief. I have been satisfied with the help I have gotten for our problem.The sales lady did a very good job explaining the product. I too find it is hard to get enough hot water for a bath so that issue *** need to be addressed in training the sales force. The installers did a good job mostly. I am looking forward to enjoying my walk in tub for many years.

I contacted this company to come and give me an estimate on installing a Walk In Tub. They set up a date and time! Fifteen minutes from the time the person was to show up I received a call from the office: "the technician is at your door"! I replied No One was at my door! She said: "Yes He Is" I said I'm standing in my front door and there is no one there. SO! She said let me call him and see where he is? "I'll Call You back"! Two hours rolled by and No Show! I called the office and was told the tech. went to the wrong address and then his car broke down so he was not going to show! I ask why didn't she call me and tell me he wasn't going to show? She replied: " I got Busy and forgot" She said they would call and make another Appointment! It has been five days and NO CALL! " The *** is Right! No One Wants To Work Anymore! America has grown too soft on Workers! The good old days are gone, when Americans were proud to WORK!
Best purchase we ever made for my parents. You don't realize how much this tub is needed until a loved one falls when they are by themselves. Independent Home offered the best price by far and their warranty was top-notch. Everyone I dealt with throughout the process was lovely and caring and listened to everything we wanted. PLUS they manufacture everything they install in ***!- I would definitely recommend this company for walk-in tubs and showers.
Would recommend this company to anyone that is interested in a walk in shower at least listen to there home sale representative. The installation crew came in lay down carpet cover and went to work no loud talking, cussing did a decent job of cleaning up after work was complete. Had the bathroom room door enlarge some dusting and vacuum had to be done. Bottom line if we were to have our second bathroom done would only call one number Thanks to sale representative and to installation crew for a great job.

This is the worst company I have ever worked with! I paid over $13,000 in full for a tub and water heater that I was told I needed that the copper pipe that is coming from it is leaking and the shower on the tub wont stay on. The water coming out of the tub faucet was warm and the dripping from the shower head that wouldn't stay on was going between luke warm and cold. Trying to reach ANYBODY in that company is impossible as the woman who answers their main line transfers you to people who only have voice mail, she will not give you any direct numbers (says its against company policy) I have had nothing but issues with this tub and don't even like to use it anymore except to shower my 90 year old mother who is now sitting in a cold tub with no shower and no way to control the water temperature. Maybe if I had not paid for it in full I might have better customer service but now I just am at a point where my only recourse is to handle it legally! Think twice about purchasing from this company because the customer service is almost nonexistant! To give them even 1 star is not even deserved!

I had called the company listed above and a Sales Lady came out to our house and reviewed the space/measurements and hot water heater. So we ended up purchasing the walk-in-tub. You can't even fill the tub up and get warm water. You have to start out with cold water (freeze to death) and then cut the hot water on to get the water warm. Never once that we were told that we needed to purchase an 80-gallon hot water heater. If I was told that I needed a bigger hot water heater I would of NEVER purchased the tub because we did not need that extra expense. Was told that we would have to buy a booster. This tub cost too much money for someone to tell me that we needed to buy anything extra for this tub. Also when we signed the contract there was no one to set down and explain the contract. There was a young worker that brought the contract to us and showed us where to sign. To me that was poor customer service putting someone that really has no idea about the contract to ask us to sign before explaining. I felt like someone that has more experience with the contract should of came to our house after the tub was put in. We were misled on the monthly cost for the tub. 1st we were told from the sales lady that our payment would be under $200.00 and I said to myself that we could budget for that. Then was told that the monthly payment was going to be a little over $200.00. So we got our monthly payment statement and it states $247.00. Called the finance department for the company and was told that our payment should be $233.00 and not sure why the contract states $247.00. Called *** Finance and was told that I would have to call Independent Home Products, LLC and tell them to cancel the contract and reissue another one because Independent Home was the one that written to contract and put the amount of $247.00. Also was told that in redoing the contract that any extra money that I would pay would be applied to the principle. It just seems like a back and forth-She said - He Said. With all of the above situations I wish someone would just come and get the tub and refund the money that I have paid. I am tired of cold water and over paying and being mislead.

Installers arrived at exactly 8am and began work right away
Installers arrived at exactly 8am and began work right away. They were friendly and wore masks throughout their work. Provided explanations as they worked and there was minimal disruption to our household. Cleaned up well. They took time to explain new shower head and made adjustments when water was not hot enough. The shower looks great. We're very happy with their work.

I made an appointment for a homes estimate on a walk in shower. They told me Monday at 4:00. I was home and waited 2 hrs. No one came. The next day they called and asked where o had been on Tuesday afternoon as I missed the appointment. I told them they had told me the appointment was Monday. We made a new appointment. The day before the new appointment I got a call asking if I was sure I would be there as I had missed the last one. I told them I had been given the wrong day by their associate. He said well she just made a mistake. I said so how does that make it my fault the appointment was missed. I find this conversation very insulting. . He repeated that the salesman was a good ole boy and it was hard for him to drive that far if I wasnt going to be there like last time. I told him he was being very insulting and I was hanging up Five minutes later I get a call from a manager asking me the same questions. I tried to tell him the situation but he kept talking over me. I asked him to stop doing that. Finally I said Just cancel the appointment, I dont think I want to do business with you. He said Dont get all emotional, emotions are a bad thing. I said cancel. He said there you go again, getting emotional, Let me ask you something, do you pray? Thats when I hung up on him

I am a disabled veteran I need to have a walk in shower. I placed an order for the walk-in shower it was supposed to be delivered on June 28. I had to wait until August 3 I do you have the shower installed. They came on August to deliver the shower after my old tub was removed, they start that in pricing of the shower. The wrong shower was ordered. I received COVID it from installers. I had to wait an additional two weeks to receive the correct shower. The shower was re-ordered but I had to wait until the 26th of the month to receive the shower. Not the same installers from removal of the old tub. Mr. offered $500 to except The wrong shower. While waiting for the new shower Family had to come stay with me doing emergency. Four adults and two children had to work one shower plus I have to live in another part of the house because I was positive from Covid. I talk to mr. he offered a discount on the shower. *** was going to reach out to the owner in order to help with the discount. The mistake was made by Independent Home not ***. I talk to them three or four times I also talk to the seller of the shower ***. I told them that I was make complaint with ComplaintsBoard.com, add to this day I have no response from them yet. I told them I wanted the company no one seem to care. Ive been calling them since the day I found out I was positive for Covid. Company's contractor complete the installation of a walk-in tub/shower and hot water heater on May 20
Company's contractor complete the installation of a walk-in tub/shower and hot water heater on May 20. I had told the contract that we would need inspections due to the type of work and he told me we didn't need an inspection. I had our City inspection on the phone when he was leaving telling him we needed an inspection. He left. I then pulled the permits for electrical and plumbing/water heater to the tune of $150 to have the work inspected, which was done on Mau 26, 2021. The plumbing/water heater failed inspection. I have attached email documentation to show contact with the company. For the most part I am being ignored. I did finally get a call from Nate, the service representative on June 4 to tell me that he was waiting for an installer to be in our area to correct or problems. He also stated he would refund us the $150 for the permits but it is stated in the contract that the home owner is responsible for that, which I looked - it is not.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
