I called Bath Fitters for a tub liner and I found it to be defektive and dangerus
I called Bath Fitters for a tub liner and I found it to be defektive and dangerus. The instalation was not good and the liner did not fit properly. I was not happy with the servise I received. The liner was slipery and I almost fell in the tub. It was a bad experiance overall. I would not recomend Bath Fitters to anyone.
I paid Bath Fitter to replace my old tub with a walk-in shower on 3-21-22
I paid Bath Fitter to remove my old tub and install a walk-in shower on 3-21-22. The work was done poorly. They promised to fix the damaged wall, but the grab bar was installed incorrectly and the shower glass door is shaky. Since 3-22-22, they have canceled my repair three times. It has been ten weeks and no repairs have been done yet, despite my numerous calls.
Contract signed on 7/21, and I gave them a $2000 deposit
Contract signed on 7/21, and I gave them a $2000 deposit. They cancelled the installation four times. The first one was supposed to be on 9/17, but they said they didn't have the tub yet. Then they said the tub was done, but no shower doors. After that, they said the tub wasn't completed again. They also mentioned that certain dates were not available. Finally, they scheduled the installation for 11/13 at 8:30 am, but the technician arrived at 9:10 am. When they finally did the installation, he didn't have a replacement shower kit. They eventually got one, but it was the wrong one, so they had to get another. It's impossible to reach anyone at the office because no one ever picks up the phone. Once the salesman received my deposit, he disappeared and was never heard from again. On top of everything, they charged me $140 more than the estimated cost. I want them to remove the $140 and give me some kind of discount as an apology. This whole experience has been absolutely terrible. I have text communications to prove it if necessary.

Because of my stroke on December 20th, I decided to get a walk-in shower installed by Bath Fitter
Because of my stroke on December 20th, I decided to get a walk-in shower installed by Bath Fitter. A person named *** came and gave me an estimated price of $9,995.00, which I agreed to pay. On Monday, April 18th, 2022, the plumber arrived around 8:30am and removed my bathtub. Then, I received a call from *** saying that they couldn't install the walk-in shower due to the pipe, and instead, it would be a step-up shower about 3 to 4 inches high. I agreed to this height because I have trouble lifting my left leg. The issue now is that Bath Fitter is saying they can't do the walk-in shower at 3 to 4 inches, but instead, it would have to be 7 inches high. This is not ideal for me since I can't lift my left leg that high. My tub has been removed, and now I'm on my second day without any way to bathe.
Me and my wife hired Bathfitters a few months back
Me and my wife hired Bathfitters a few months back. When the guy who puts things together came, he found out that the person who sells stuff measured the shower doors wrong so he couldn't finish the job. The guy had to order new doors, which took like a whole month to come. When the second set of doors finally arrived, Bathfitter sent another guy to my place who had no experience at all. He asked for our wifi password because he needed a manual to figure out how to put in the doors. Obviously, he messed everything up and made holes in my walls by banging into them with the shower doors. He even chipped our toilet. We called Bathfitter again to complain, and they promised to send a more experienced guy. Two weeks later, a senior guy showed up to fix the problems, and he told us that the last guy did everything wrong. This new guy had to order new doors again, for the third time. My family has been without a shower for two months already, and it's gonna be another month before we can get the new doors in. We were told that Bathfitter only hires experienced installers, but that was a total lie.
The problem with Bath Fitter has been going on since March when they finished converting my tub to a shower in my apartment
The problem with Bath Fitter has been going on since March when they finished converting my tub to a shower in my apartment. After they were done, I started noticing a smell of mold and mildew. I never had this issue before Bath Fitter did the conversion. I told them about it and they sent an installer named *** to fix it. He said he could smell the odor and cleaned the drain cover and put silicone sealer all around the shower. He also told me to use Bath Fitter cleaning products for mold and mildew treatment down the drain a few times a week to get rid of the smell. But it didn't work. Bath Fitter asked my building's plumbers and engineer to come to my apartment and check the pipes and look for leaks in the apartments above and below mine. They didn't find anything. Bath Fitter kept sending installers who told me to use other cleaners down the drain. Finally, they sent a senior installer named *** who said they should redo the whole shower. About two weeks later, *** and *** came to redo the shower. But instead, they just cut a hole in the shower floor to check the drain pipe and found that it wasn't properly secured and was leaning over. They fixed it with metal bands and put a new floor covering. Shortly after that, I called them again to say that the problem wasn't fixed. Once again, they said they would redo the shower in 2-3 weeks. I kept calling them, but they didn't return my calls to schedule the repair. Now they're saying that they're not responsible and that it was the plumbers' fault. I tried reaching out to corporate multiple times, but with no success. I called again today, 11/3/22, but couldn't reach anyone. The initial cost of the job was over $11,000. Bath Fitter ref #***.
Back in March, we signed a contract for $8150 to have the "one-day install" (which is minimum of 2), as we are a family of 5 with only one full
Back in March, we signed a contract for $8150 to have the "one-day install" (which is minimum of 2), as we are a family of 5 with only one full bath and wanted the convenience of having access to our shower asap. After signing the documents, we never heard back from anyone about confirming our appointment - I had to contact the company to find out who/what/when someone would be arriving. "***" at customer service had and continues to have a poor response time (and response in general) after being contacted about a host of issues during installation, primarily the 8" scratch left due to total careless workmanship that was not able to be repaired and needed to be replaced. Below is the latest communication to *** after 2 failed phone call attempts to the *** office: I have been waiting for someone to call me back regarding my request for discounted services based on ongoing issues I have/had with the install and final product. Both my husband and I each had to take an extra day off work to have some take a look at the shower, then again for the repair, in addition to finding somewhere to shower for another day. There is damage to adjacent walls from original install from the tech (who was incredibly rude, speaking on his bluetooth device the entire 2 days he was here, disrupting my telehealth appts frequently) which I now need to repair, as well as a leaky shower head due to incorrect installation in which the SECOND tech repaired (he was wonderful, as was the last tech). To bring it all in, we have lost time, wages, aggravation, and now require future repairs (spackle and paint) to my walls, in addition to now having seams for what was suppose to be a "seamless" install in so many ways - workmanship that I feel we very much overpaid for, ending up defeating the purpose of the "one-day install" that we needed as a household of 5 that all share one shower. Please have someone contact me to discuss. 3 days of waiting for *** to answer my follow up email.
