military discount and competitor coupons
Since the current CEO has taken over...Lowes has been on a downward spiral...most of the stores are always unorganized...product selection and quality keeps getting really bad. The current CEO is trying to turn it into kmart and quality and selection is horrible. I take all my business to Home Depot now 100%. They don't take the military discount off of almost anything and everything now. They recently said they won't honor any competitors coupons from home depot or Menards...I used to prefer lowes before the new CEO has taken over and It's become a joke and not even worth shopping in Lowes stores anymore. The CEO doesn't like military or veterans obviously.
Desired outcome: Honor and respect military like lowes used too...Horrible selection of products now. The CEO is running lowes into the ground.
On a water heater purchased and installed by lowes
Purchased a Water Heater AO Smith 40 gallon, paid for it at the Lowes store in Clarksville on Madison Street. Arranged for Lowes to install the unit, it was installed and the install was paid for. However the heater started to heat the water but stopped perhaps a few minutes after install. It did not heat the water. Contacted Lowes who sent out a tech who said it was not a defective installation, it was a defective Water heater...Was told to call AO Smiith for replacement. Called AO Smith who authorized an exchange.for a presumably working new unit. Question: Was told the unit had to be returned to the store for the exchange.Cannot get an answer as to the procedure for obtaining the replacement heater, getting it uninstalled and reinstalled. Does Lowes send an uninstaller to take the unit back and do I pay for a reinstall of the working unit.?
Appliance delivery
I purchased, paid in full at the register, a washer and dryer. It was to be delivered on the 21st of April, 2022. I called and they said it was on the truck. It was not delivered. I called and asked that it be delivered the next day, the 22nd and they refused to do so.
They said they would deliver on the 23rd. I called and they said it was on the truck, it was not delivered.
Desired outcome: That my washer and dryer get delivered and installed as that is what I paid for.
Appliance
My grandson purchased an expensive Samsung stove on the 29th of March 2022 at the High Point store on North Main. He did not buy extended warranty as he couldn't afford it. The delivery date was chosen by the store but was s for five days later. After delivery it was discovered that the oven didn't work. He went back to Lowe's and spoke to three different managers to get a refund. Bottom line he was told that because he hadn't purchased the extra warranty there was only a two day return policy, which had expired and that it was up to him to contact Samsung service. As the delivery date was chosen by Lowe's, and not him, it would stand to reason that the two day return policy would start on day of delivery, not date of purchase. The only other option was to purchase another stove and wait for a credit. He doesn't have extra thousands lying around. As a young new home owner & naive customer this whole experience
has been an eye opener. He is still waiting for Samsung to service this stove as the part is probably in China. All in all Lowe's has done a very bad disservice to a hard working young man.
Desired outcome: A pick up of this stove and a refund plus a change in customer service practices. It would serve your company well to go back to being customer based and not purely for monetary gain. What a refreshing thought.
water heater installation
i had lowes install my water heater on tuesday 4/19/22. the people they sent out was hall and sons out of manchester pa. When they installed my water heater, they broke the soldering on one my connecting pipes, and bent up the elbow on the inlet water pipe. I pointed this out to them, and that the outlet pipe was now dripping on to the new water heater, nothng major but still was not like that prior. the techs told me it was nothing and that the solderng was really calcification, and that it would seal itself back up, and if i was worried about it i could just use flex seal. They refused to do anything. In the time since then i have made numberous calls to the install hotline and customer service hotlines, where i get put on hold and tansferred endlessly for over an hour almost two each time. Those people also want to argue with me and hang up on me... They are back and forth telling me i was in the system and i am not in the system... i cant get this escalated nor connected to someone that can get the pipes they broke fixed
Desired outcome: i paid $750 for an install of a water heater that they broke and screwed up pipes on... i want refunded and the piped they damaged fixed...
Lack of customer service
I spent more than 3 hours on the [protected] line waiting for assistance in recovering a copy of a receipt that despite the sale being in the mylowes history, the local store claims they cannot duplicate it and I need it for a warranty claim. the number associated with the purchase is [protected], the invoice number listed in mylowes is 2995998, the purchase total with tax was $821.60, the date of purchase was 2/May/21 with a card ending in 4706. I now own a pressure washer that imploded during use, that is theoretically still under warranty but cannot get serviced without a copy of the receipt. When the customer service person did finally answer she was unable to locate the receipt despite the sale being clearly indicated on the mylowes account. The original receipt is no longer legible (IT FADED AS ALL YOUR RECEIPTS DO), and I now have a very expensive power washer that is well within the warranty period that I cannot get repaired.
Desired outcome: Either supply a copy of the receipt so that I can get it repaired under warranty, repair it at your expense, or replace it. I'm NOT going to walk away from more than $800
orders and late items
i placed a online order on april 9th today is april 19th my item is still not at the store i was told it be there on monday then told it be there on tuesday and now im being told wednesday what kind of crap service are you providing to your customers . I dont like being lied to and i will be putting a wright up in the news paper about the store . and if your carriers can't get the items to the customer then get a new carrier .

Delivery and hackettstown manager treatment
My name is Kristina Gulics: 405 Great Meadows Road, Blairstown, NJ 07825. We have ordered thousands of dollars of materials, cabinets and appliances for our home and from the Hackettstown NJ Lowes store and our experience has been the absolute WORST experience of my life! Not only have we received countless damaged and destroyed items, I AM CURRENTLY DEALING with managers that refuse to speak with me to address the failure to deliver our refrigerator 7 TIMES!
We received 3 refrigerators with defects, THREE FAILED DELIVERIES which we have had to take off work or pay contractors to be at our home for the deliver.
THEN when we changed the order to a new fridge, the worker that placed the exchange never process the order and that led to a FOURTH NO SHOW scheduled delivery. THEN when they finally process the order, the delivery company LIED and SAID THEY RESTRICTED their ability to deliver my appliance because of road work. THIS WAS A LIE and we verified it with road work crews. WE ALSO KNOW IT WAS A LIE because we had our counter tops delivered which came on a truck with no problem! THEY LIED! THAT WAS 5 AND 6 NO SHOW DELIVERIES!
I spoke with another store manager who scheduled the delivery for today. As I sit and type this, I called at 8am and was told that someone purposely removed our name from the delivery list for today but they would fix it and call me back. NO CALL BACK! I called back at 9am and they said it was being taken care of and the manager would call me back. NO CALL BACK!
It is now 10:50am - I called at 10:15 and refuse to get off the phone until they give me a manager to speak with. at 10:55, I was JUST TOLD THAT I AM NOT ON THE DELIVERY TRUCK FOR TODAY and they are REFUSING TO GIVE ME MANAGER TO SPEAK WITH!

I think Lowe's advantage plan customer service is ludicrous. The Corporate executives lack ideas of mainstream technology. Their service system old school. Here's what you should do place a small room for tele-service personnel at each store to cater to the local area issues bought from that store. Then send to the processing of claims. I'm waiting 2 hrs. 18 min. this is a catastrophe. I will never buy another Whirlpool Kitchen Major Appliance Suite from your company again...never!
KitchenAid stainless steel dishwasher; model KDFE204KP
I purchased a KitchenAid 39-Decibel Front Control 24-in built-in stainless steel with printshield finish dishwasher, model KDFE204KPS item #2593007, from Lowe's in Stroudsburg, PA, on March 14, 2022. It was delivered on March 18, 2022. My husband installed the dishwasher on March 19, 2022. On Sunday, March 20, 2022, we had a full load and started the dishwasher. It did not work.
On Monday, March 21, 2022, my husband called Lowe's customer service. Lowe's sent out a tech on March 22, 2022, to look at the dishwasher. The tech from Dan Marc Appliance could not fix the dishwasher, he said it was either the control board or the motor and placed an order for the parts. On April 8, 2022, I received an email from Dan Marc Appliance that the delivery of the parts was unknown, they do not have any idea when the parts ordered will be received.
Meanwhile my husband went to Lowe's in Stroudsburg, PA, and spoke with customer service who said they would not do anything because of the 48-hour return policy that was put in place on March 9, 2022. Having bought numerous appliances over the years from Lowe's, we were shocked to learn the 30-day return policy changed to 48-hours. We were also shocked and extremely disappointed that Lowe's will not stand behind the products they sell.
We did not want to return the dish washer because we didn't like it, we wanted to return the $1,100 dishwasher because it was defective and does not work.
We purchased an expensive appliance that does not work, and Lowe's does not seem to care. This is not only frustrating, but unacceptable customer service.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate being contacted to make arrangements to either replace the dishwasher or return our money so we can buy a functioning dishwasher.
your emails
Since April 3 2022 i have not been able to get any emails from you on confirmation of my emails. I have spoken to 6 people and no one caan help me. It has to be on your end . We changed the email address to my wifes name and we got confrmation of the puechase etc> it is on your end . you have done something to my email address or account to block my email address . I spent $365,000.00 at lowes so i need this fixed last year and i must get these confirmations by email on my purchases and onlien orders . Customer Service
I have spent a lot of money at the Gilbert Lowe's over the past 33 years. Once again today, I went to buy a number of containers of flowers, and 10 bags of brown mulch. When I went to get a cart to carry the merchandise none was available.
This is not the first time this has happened. I walked the entire store looking for a long bed truck to use, but all I found were filled ones with merchandise to be put on shelves or filled with what looked like returns.
I have a bad leg, but I walked all the way out to the parking lot to see if I could find one, but none was there.
As I said earlier, this is not the first time I have run into this situation. Today however I just decided not to pursue looking anymore and went back home empty handed.
I like Lowe's mainly because it is only 1 mile from my house. Home Depot is 2 miles, but I really do not like the store, plus I have never had this problem there.
Somehow, Lowes needs to figure out how they can have carts available for their customers and not the vendors and employee.

Didn’t receive dryer
Good Morning,
I would like to start by saying I have been a loyal customer for years spending thousands of dollars at your locations. I have worked retail myself for the last 20 years as a District Manager. I am fairly understanding when things go wrong and have lived through struggles of the last few years. My husband and I recently purchased a washer and dryer at your Butler, NJ location. We bought them because we were told they were in stock. We are renovating a house we just purchased and currently living with family during our renovation project. Our delivery was scheduled for April 5th. I sat in our vacant house which is under construction for 5 hours waiting for the delivery to come. I finally received a call from the driver they were on their way, at which point I had to leave. The driver told me they only had my washer. I told him I would reschedule the delivery. I called my lowes the following day. They said the dryer had just come in the night before and that both the dryer and washer were now on the truck. We rescheduled the delivery for April 9th. I got a delivery window of 8am-12pm. Sure enough 12:30 rolls around and still no delivery (please keep in mind we are sitting in a house that is gutted to the studs, no heat, no water, no electric). I contacted my lowes and they said the window was now 8am-8pm. Wanting to get this over with we stayed and waited 7:30 rolls around still no delivery. I call back and I am now told it has been rescheduled for April 10th. We waited all day and was told all day it was coming. We forwent attending a Yankee game we had purchased tickets to months ago to wait. The next day we again drive to our house, 45 minutes from where we are currently residing, to wait for the delivery. The truck finally arrived, however they only have our washer! I tried calling the store all day on Sunday with no luck of even getting in touch with anyone. Several times I was put on hold and hung up on.
I called the store on April 11th and spoke with a manager. Was promised a call back and have yet to hear anything. No one can even tell me where my dryer is. We spent $2,000 on these appliances and only have one. We have gone out of our way several times to receive the delivery, wasted money on Yankee tickets to only be jerked around.
I called the store again today and was promised a call back from the delivery manager and have yet to hear anything.
The lack of care and customer service is absolutely appalling.
Where is my dryer, when will it be coming and how will we be compensated for the enormous hassle and inconvenience?

Vanity and appliance deliveries
I have purchased in excess of 30K in items since February 2022. I have spent more than 10+ hours on the phone with the Customer Care line trying to get the items I have paid for delivered. Twice, without warning - vanities were dumped into a public parking lot in the rain. Today I waited home all day for appliance delivery - special order and was assured the delivery address had been correctly updated only to get a call that Lowes will not deliver today.
No one answers or responds to calls in the Naples Florida, Naples Blvd. store. Rick, one of the managers cancelled one of my orders - without consulting me - after its delivery was delayed.
I want my appliances delivered without being disrespected or being falsely reassurred they are on their way. Lowes has gone from one of the best to one of the worst companies to deal with. No one cares. They say they do and the online staff tries to assist but they are powerless. Terrible. Please deliver my appliances!

OTR Microwave Installer
We went to Lowe's in Pulaski Va. and bought a OTR microwave we were told was in stock. The next morning we received a text saying scheduled for installation today at 12:00 and we responded confirming our appointment and at 10:31 we received a call saying they went to pick up the microwave and it was not there we told them we were told it was there so we called Lowes where we bought it and spoke to manager and we was told he would straighten that out so after that we were called back by the manager and he said no one come to pick it up. We then called the man back that called us and said he went there and was told there was no microwave to be picked up and we told him that we just spoke to manager and he said he was looking right at the microwave that had our name on it and he said he would find out what was going on. well then we received a call from a 1 (877) # saying that they would be out in the Morning (Today Is Wednesday) Friday. LOL I asked which is it In the morning (Which would be Thursday) or Friday and they said Friday after they ruined our day by saying in a text that it would this morning. really upset about how Lowe's could not get things straight and just ruined our day on a Wednesday and I had to take off work to be here when they came. Next time we will be going somewhere else because it's no sense in one telling you one thing and the other telling you a flat out Lie that they went over to the store to pick it up and it was not there. While kitchen remodel
Offered flooring for kitchen living and hallway. They came out and measured. Ordered wrong amount. Reordered more tiles sent wrong tiles. Lowe's told installer to just use those under cabinets. I said no not what I paid for. Also they dropped flooring off and let it sit outside for 2 weeks until I stalker came. Don't use their install people you'll wait months ordered cabinets they stay in the house till they decide to come

I physically saw the boxes that held the furniture, however, due to the cost being so high they offered free delivery which I accepted. I generally keep my location my location settings on private, and as far as I'm concerned that matter is not of any relevance to shopping at Lowe's, or at least it shouldn't be. Enter AI, which apparently stands for "artificial idiot." No matter how many times I tell your website that I want to connect to a specific store, it sends me back to the store in Charlotte, which I have no interest in. I even went so far as entering the exact street address including city, state, and zipcode, and was still unable to connect to my choice location.
I will probably go back to lowe's sometime, but I am forever done with your website. Turned out to be nothing but a colossal waste of my time.
Desired outcome: A website that takes consumer input into the equation would change my opinion greatly. On the other hand, I save money the way it is, because I'll never buy anything from a website wrought with such poor service and incompetence.
Vinyl fence
I had a vinal privacy fence installed around my back yard and I immediately had problems I reported the problems to lowe's installation and the guy came back out and claimed he fixed the problem but I have been having problems every since now part of the fence has fallen down they did not made the fence boards long enough to keep the fence standing up in places and the spaces between the fence where they stick a piece of plastic to fill in the fence were it does not come together never stays in place I have never seen such [censored]ie and bad workmanship as I have experienced from Lowe's installing my 8000 dollar fence pretty soon I will have to have the whole fence taken down because it won't stay up when a hard wind blows

7 months and my fence is not installed
I purchased my fence in Sept. of 2021, I was told there would be a 12 to 14 week wait because of Covid, and no refunds, I agreed I needed a fence at that time I trusted Lowes. Janu. 2022 then came and delivered cement and said they would install the next day. They never came. On January 27 they delivered the fence a recording told me they would be installing the next day, no installation. I texted questioning installation and received no response. Texted again regarding having all that stuff in my yard which is already small. February 14 got a text saying they would come get the stuff out of my yard and hold it till it got warmer for a better install date. Told install would happen on Feb. 17, team came out with hand tools and said the ground was too hard. February 22 canceled because of rain Came out February 23 team question the dimensions of the yard and said the ground was still too hard. Received a text team would be out March 2, called said it was too windy, came out March 3, said the ground was still frozen be back in a week or 2. I called back in week 2 said it was going to be too windy the next two days and the following two weeks the team will be on vacation. So, they can't install until April 11. I don't feel I should have to wait that long. This stuff has been in my yard since January, the box is falling apart, and they have even replaced the cement. I have talked with numerous people who are kind but seem to be at the mercy of unknown forces that do not want to install my 5,000.00 fence.
Desired outcome: My fence installed in a timely (too late for that) manner. Remove the stuff from my yard until it is time for install. I will accept a refund and seek my fence elsewhere if this cannot be resolved.
