Filter failure
Second time around with this company first time was great but it was pre-Covid and they actually provided service. Now technical services only by their leisure via an online email system. We were unable to get technical support in order to best assess what filters to replace our initial package with. The plumber and water specialist took the best guess so we placed the order. One of the filters seems to be faulty and would not work regardless of pressure. Multiple emails back-and-forth each one which took a couple of days for them to return, resulted in nothing other than trying to blame the customer. Ultimately they pointed out they they have a no refund policy and that clearly we needed better specialists in order to use their product. Arrogant, lazy, and zero concern for their product. Use at your own risk, but expect to be burned.
Desired outcome: Take the filter back or solve the problem without blaming the customer
water filtration systems
I was looking on-line to purchase a water purification system for my home. I found a company called MaxWater (MW) at MaxWaterFlow.com and started adding item to my cart, but got to a point where I needed some technical support. I called their phone number [protected], I selected option 1 on the automated response and and spoke to a sales person who later in the conversation suggested that I create and account and submit my questions on-line to their technical support department, so I did.
The next day I get an email from MW stating that they noticed I had a shopping cart that was not completed. The email asked if there was any questions or if there was anything they could assist me with to move forward, please let us know, and thank you for your feedback. So, I replied to the email and said I had submitted some questions to their technical support dept. and was waiting for a response.
That afternoon, I received an email response from MW stating the first email I received from them was automatically generated and could not be answered (I thought hmmm, why did the email ask me if I had any questions or need assistance to please let them know, and it did not say please do not reply to this message like most automated messages do). So I picked up the phone and called them again. The only available phone option is sales, option 1. So I explained to the sales person all that had happened. He told me I needed to fill out a technical support request on their website, so I explained again, I already did. He then said that I needed to create an account, again I already had. He then asked to put me on hold. After a few minutes he came back to the phone and said that the city and state where I lived were placed in the same box and it created some minor problems for their tech support. I explained that I was able to log into my MW on-line account with no problems what so ever and that it was correctly showing my email address and my phone number, so why is my city and state an issue...
Then I asked, "Could I please talk to a manager?" The gentleman started giving me more excuses and I stated that if they want me to make a purchase from them, I needed my questions answered about their products and again I respectfully asked to talk to a manager. The sales person then stated, "I am the manager!" Then I asked to talk to anyone above him, and he hung up on me. I then called back several times after that and the so-called sales dept. would not answer the phone after pushing option 1 (seems like a one horse business, although the photos on their website show a huge warehouse in a ritzy office building with blurred-out signage in front, but the company manager answers the phone).
These people also have an eBay Store and sell their products there too, but the eBay store claims to be based out of New York whereas Max Water is located in Concord, Ontario, Canada. If you dial the MW phone number listed on eBay, they claim no affiliation with the Canadian store, but the guy that answers the phone sounds exactly like the guy in Sales at the Ontario MW phone number (same Hispanic accent and voice tone) and refers you to call the Canadian number if you have any questions or want to make a purchase. I called the eBay number after hours that evening and got a recorded message, "We're sorry but this Magic Jack customer is currently unavailable at this time. Please try again later." Well anybody that knows about the Magic Jack phone service also knows that you can purchase phone numbers for any city in the U.S. that you want.
My opinion is that this company is very shady with poor customer service, rude and incompetent over the phone, and does not deserve my business. After reading the other complaints, I see that a number of people have also been very dissatisfied with their customer service and warranty coverage. Luckily, I didn't buy anything, and never will from this company.
Order constructed wrong and seller will not correct
In short, I paid extra money for features on an RO system but it arrived without the features I paid for. The company refuses to correct the issue, even though they had no problem taking my money for the extra features.
The sales guy "Armen" says he is the owner and can do what he wants and I'm just a customer that doesn't know what I'm talking about. After asking how I can return the system, he said he was ending the call and hung up on me.
Their website claims they value the customer experience and ensuring customers are satisfied, but it is now clear that they are a "ship and forget" type company. Do not expect to receive any service after they receive your money.

Product and customer service
I purchased a RO DI for reef aquarium from maxwater in late 2014. I recently called customer service (march 2015) to get parts numbers to replace all my filters for the next 2 years (order number EC8127). Upon installing filters, TDS was reading 5 ppm (it should be at 0). So I started reading more about the filter and realized that customer service...

False advertiser, be very aware. I trusted his "expert" opinion when purchasing an RO water filtration unit for my home. Several months later when I go back to purchase filters I am advised I didn't buy an RO unit, but a simple water purifier. When he and I both reviewed the advertisement (ebay listing) it states RO DI in the item description. When I confronted him with this advertisement, he stated he does that to get the attention of buyers, and buyers need to better educated to purchase equipment.
I trusted this seller and took his advice on what to purchase, and I am very disappointed finding out months later I didn't get what I paid for. Apparently, false advertising pays off for this individual. Sadly, I've sent him more business from my friends and family, who have now also been ripped off.
He won't do anything to rectify the problem, expect sell me a new & different unit. e has several complaints on ebay about his false advertising, broken and/or missing parts upon delivery and very poor customer service.
Max water sent us a system with a broken seal and did nothing to let us return the item. It is cheaply made and it is not what I paid for. I have to agree with you when you say they advertise incorrectly and with false description. I also recommended this to a few friends and they also got ripped off. Ebay did nothing to fix the situation either. STAY AWAY FROM MAX WATER, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF.
