Washer repair
GE gave me their name and number as their authorized repair company in the Muskoka area. My washer was not working so I called them. Eventually they showed up and decided the damaged door seal was the cause of the problem. After it was replace weeks later the washer still didn't work. It cost over $500 and my washer was still broken. A friend, that is a marine mechanic, diagnosed the problem and fixed it by replacing the cold water intake valve.
Desired outcome: I would like the labour costs refunded. I will pay for the unneeded part.
Maytag washer.
Washer broke down almost 7 weeks ago and still have not heard a thing about repair. The washer was only 7 months old and am still waiting. Have no recourse as it is warranty work and I need to deal with your company. Would like some feed back from someone on when I could expect some action.
service standards
We purchased appliances from Lowes in 2016 and have an extended warranty. The LG Fridge needed service within the first year (ended up having it replaced) but the long and short of this email is that Stein had a ticket to service my fridge under Lowes/LG warranty. The DAY Stein were booked to service my fridge, (they apparently "stopped servicing LG")so they called to tell me that Stein would not be coming THAT DAY even though this was a MAJOR fridge issue and the appointment had been 2-3 weeks in the making! Stein HAD A TICKET, that was an approved service call……………for which they would be paid. Their business problem with the manufacturer should not have had an affect on my scheduled service call!
I have owned and operated a business for 25 years. Obviously these types of "business transactions" in a small community will not help your profitability, never mind popularity. I do hope that this complaint will give pause when considering short term business decisions that affect your customer service.
I have another current issue with my LG Fridge and Lowes extended warranty dept. who wanted to send a ticket to Stein this week. I have REFUSED to support this company as I do not believe they operate in the interest of their "customers".

If they had zero stars I would be giving them that.
Samsung Fan ceased and froze, we had an extended warranty on it with Comerco. Technician from Stein Appliances, contracted by Comerco came and fixed it back in June 2020. Shortly after our ice machine stopped working, they came back and replaced it in august. It was still leaking and making terrible ice. I've been trying to get it properly fixed for months now. Different techs would say different things. Finally one said it was the ice maker, so they replaced it Friday January 29 2021. Well that evening our fridge just stopped cooling the compressor stopped running. So the technician literally broke our fridge. We have been without since then and all my food is spoiled. I had a perfectly working fridge other than the ice maker, before Stein technicians broke it.
We were not sent the same technicians the 10x they came to our house. During COVID I had multiple different men come to my home, which is completely wrong. Each time was a different technician and each time they would try to say something else was wrong, whether it was the fan, the ice maker, the control panel, or the seals on the fridge door. Stein repair techs have no clue what they were doing. In fact their technicians would blame one another for ordering the wrong parts.
Now I'm somehow expected to spend thousands out of my pocket to replace the fridge and all the food...
Stein Appliances and Comerco keep blaming each other and no one will own up. Stein should be replacing our full unit and paying for our food loss. It was their employee who broke the fridge. We should not be responsible for any monetary amount, since this was no fault if ours. I will be taking them to small claims court. Their general manager Ryan is completely useless at his job and should not be in charge if running this company. If I were the owner I would think twice about your business model and your employees. I want compensation for my fridge and food loss
DO NOT USE STEIN, stay far away.
