While using heater function for driver's side seat, after approximately 8-10 minutes, seat became extremely hot. Luckily, I had a seat cushion behind my back up against seat back. I then began noticing a burning smell. I could not pull over on the PA TURNPIKE, so I continued to work. Upon exiting vehicle, I removed padded seat cushion to examine seat. Picture is attached. I am now completely afraid to use heat function. I feel that something is definitely wrong somewhere and would like the seat inspected and repaired. I did take the car to my local Peruzzi Mazda dealer, but was refused any repair effort since it was not something "covered by warranty". This is completely UNACCEPTABLE. I could have been burned had it not been for seat pad behind my back. Such extraordinary overheating is obviously not normal and I feel it is the responsibility of manufacturer to inspect and repair my vehicle.
I will look forward to a prompt reply.
